Name: Pyne (like the tree) Janaiken Race: Tanokian (Weird name? That's 'cause I just threw some hiragana symbols together!! *draws hiragana flash cards out of a hat*) Class: Smuggler Alignment: Neutral. Age: around 27 in Tanokian winters (about 168 human years) Height: 5'6" Weight: 128 lbs Hair color: Blue/ Fur: White and blue Eye color: Deep blue Appearance: (Before I posted, I wanted to take another whack at describing her) Pyne has long, floppy ears that come down to her waist almost, and a mild mane of blue hair about the same length. Her head is bunny-like, and her deep blue eyes seem like they could go on forever. Her torso and arms are like that of a female human. She has the forelegs of a goat and the tail of a lion. Lastly, she is covered from head to toe with soft, short, white fur with blue at the tips of her ears and round her hooves (or is it hoofs). She wears blue jean shorts over what seems to be a (color undecided) long-sleeved bathing suit. (I'll get a picture on deviant ASAP) Personality: Pyne has a very carefree attitude and it takes a lot to get her frazzled. She loathes staying in one place for too long, and always seem to be on the move. She loves to show off, and will if she gets the chance. Pyne prefers to be alone when she travels, but can be quite friendly and social when she so chooses. Best to stay on her good side though, she tends to hold grudges for a very long time. Her quick wit and sharp tongue has gotten her in and out of more than a few tight situations. Quirks: Pyne has a huge gamboling problem, and not just money wise. She is quite willing to risk her life doing absurd stunts, but perhaps that’s why she is a good smuggler. There is nothing in the Three Glories, or Outer Darkness that can scare her more than large bodies of water. Skills and abilities: Pyne is an awesome pilot; she likes to brag that her ship, The Gryphon, is the fastest in 8 galaxies, and that she’s never lost a race. However, that’s what she says. She’s an awesome mechanic and pretty good when it comes to hacking into tricky systems. Her fighting skills are fair, but she would rather outwit and outrun her enemy then stand and fight. She was built for rough terrain, and can run really fast, but will sink like a rock. Her hands are nimble and quick, making it easier to gain the upper hand while gamboling, and working on her ship. Weapons: -Beam Saber: Pyne’s beam saber’s blade is of a broad sword style, and is about 3' 7" long when it’s on. The beam is a bright teal color. It hangs off her belt when it is not in use. -Tanokian Laser Gun: It is black with Tanokian symbols etched into it, and fits comfortably into the leather holster strapped to her thigh. -Kintrillian Disks: They’re flat, circular discs, about an inch thick and 3 ½ inches in diameter. They are able to send out a shock of 1000 watts, and can be used 4 times each before she has to recharge them again. Pyne always hides at least two on her person at all times. Other equipment: -Basic lock pick set -Loaded dice ;) -Marked Cards Background: (If needed, I can make changes.) Pyne left her home planet while she was fairly young, and took up the smuggling business. The job was perfect! She got all the adventure and travel she wanted, and most important; she was her own boss; plus the pay was great. On her travels, she discovered another quick way to make a buck, gambling!! She loves to showboat, though she can look more like a show girl. However, she has accumulated quite a bit of debt in a few systems. There are more than a couple drug lords and assorted mafias who would love to see her caught, dead or alive. The Empire is not very fond of the Tanokian smuggler, and there’s not exactly a warm place for them in Pyne’s heart, either. However, it does not mean that she and the rebellion are best buds. About 10 years before Falcone was found, the Rebellion boarded her ship, The Gryphon, and stole the illegal ship parts she was trying to sneak out of the Empire. Unfortunately, her client, Ssithiss, was not pleased that his shipment was lost, Rebellion or no, he held Pyne responsible. Ssithiss is a big, scaley, pain in the butt, and the reason why she is constantly on the move. While she has a lot of enemies, she also has a lot of connections, some are respectable, and others (a lot of others) are not. Sorry it took so long, if there are any problems tell me!! OOC:I fixed the wierd fear problem thingy!!!! I gots much Goodly grammar!! I might figure out how I really want to word it later. I'll get a picture on deviant as soon as I can, and set up a link here. [/color:091dd5b3c5] |

One thing was that you said she feared nothing save for large bodies of water, yet later say this Ssithiss is a main fear. I know what you mean, just pointing out a minor wording issue for your own personal sake ^^ otherwise, excellent! You always come up with very quirky, well, quirks for your characters. It seems that beam sabers are becoming a main side-arm fast -- excellent! This is good and fitting to the series, although be warned that some (EG: The Xarian blades, and some similar which may be introduced later... ) will have "magic" properties and will enhance the users' speed and agility. Nothing saying that you can't duel a wielder of such a weapon evenly, just pointing this out as a general warning to all people taking place in this RP ;) NOBODY should be underestimated. Ah, but I degress! APPROVED! ^^ She will be added to the character list shortly, with you as primary owner |

I went in from the start assuming that Lyn wouldn't be using a Xarian blade. He is using a peice of the technolgoy which spawned him, which may or may not have any bearing on quality.
I'm also not sure how rare even a "normal" beam saber would be, but am currently under the impression that any from of such a weapon isn't the most common thing in the galaxy. Probably a bad idea to underestimate Saebel because she uses a physical blade, too. Not sure if it's capable of blocking a beam saber, though... In closing, Spy, you're welcome for the help, it's no problem at all. |
