She heaved the bottle of Sake up to her lips with much effort, only to find that the bottle was empty. Lazily she stood up and walked straight into the path of Hayabusa's sword. The young Samurai held up the bottle and pointed to it. "Oi... Do you have anymore..." Masoto's eyes widened. "Shit." In her state of mind (drunkess), Masoto had not realized that she'd walked straight into the path of death; getting slashed was inevitable now. |

Though he generally kept a policy of restricting himself to no more than about ten or twenty percent speed and strength, he also kept a policy of saving any life when possible, regaurdless -- and this was a time when the second policy must be enacted.
With lightning-quick speed, the samurai leapt forward, pulled a slender, sheated katana from the cloth bag, tossed the bag to the side, and unsheathed the blade all in one swift movement. Within moments he reached Masoto, slid around her so that he was between her and Hayabusa, and then held his sword up to meet his opponent's incomming blade, only moments before it would have sliced the girl in two. |

Toshorra Mirosaki snatched a small wanted poster from the police headquarters' wall, and walked on unnoticed. "Is my nose really that big?" She asked herself as she examined the picture of a young girl with chin length hair. Of course, her brown hair was longer now and she had in a bun. She was disappointed with the inaccuracy of the picture. She glanced at the small crowd in front of the restaurant. Her curiosity aroused she pushed through the small mass of people. She saw the two men with their swords drawn. This could be interesting, she thought to herself.[/color:6ba6609da1] |

Stopping in his tracks and pulling out of the danger zone, Tsuki was relieved that Kaze had got there in time. It could prove to be an interesting match. A sudden movement attracted his vision. Red eyes flicked to the restraunt. Tsuki noticed another person coming their way. A girl with her hair tied in a bun. "Hello," he said politely, bowing. "Er...it might be best if you didn't walk over there...the last girl who tried that almost got cut in half, as you can tell..." OOC:bad, i know. Kaguske is gone for the moment. |

She slipped the wanted poster into her basket under a loaf of bread, shielding it from view. He seems to be one of much skill, she thought as she bowed in return. "Thanks for the warning," she said smiling. The young woman felt a small pang of annoyance, does he truly believe a woman cannot take care of herself? "Though I'm fairly sure I'd be fine." She glanced at where the fight had taken place. "What happened over there?" She felt her hands twitch slightly, maybe later on in the night she could start a brawl in a restauraunt. Toshorra felt so out of place in her kimono, it was so restricting at times. She made a mental note to herself to change her attire, also.[/color:89396c1c34] |

"Well..." he said, scratching his head. "I think that they know each other, and definately don't like each other." He gestured at Hayabusa. "And to me, it looks like he would go through anyone or anything to get at his opponent. That's why I warned you. It's not that i question your skill in anyway, but I am unsure of how he would react to anyone entering his reach during this fight." |

"Thank you... um..." a slight breeze picked up tugging at a few whisps of lose hair and causing the paper that was hiding in her basket come free. It floated to the ground a few feet from where the two people stood.
"Blast," Toshorra hissed under her breath. She hesitated, debating weather or not to pick up the wanted poster.[/color:7e41e14c84] |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Masoto, stunned after almost being killed, slowly regains focus. In front of her was the man who'd just saved her life, defending her from what was surely a fatal attack. Slowly, she backed away so she didn't get in his way.
"I... thank you..." Masoto whispered quietly, looking down at the ground from embarassment at her weakness, not to mention that she'd been so close to a handsome man. |

He tossed his sword to the side and it stuck into the ground. He fell to his knees and began punching the ground, "why...Why....WHY!!" |

"You let your hatred consume you, and as powerful a weapon as that can be sometimes, it is a double-edged sword. You lose mindfullness of those around you, and can easily end up harming more than you wished to. Though it can make you strong, keeping your mind at peace is even more effective." He sheathed his sword and turned around, bending down on one knee and offering his hand to Masoto.
"Are you alright, m'lady?" he asked kindly, a look of reassurance and warmth in his eyes. |

"So, what is the problem between you two? Surely you don't SERIOUSLY mean to kill eachother. Even though the age of the samurai has passed, and our swords have been outlawed, shouldn't we instead help people and not kill others of our profession?" OOC: psh XD killing is SO the best thing ever, but that's MY opinion... |
