"Pathetic man..." he muttered under his breath. "Can't even destroy a species correctly. A mistake I will not make, be certain." |

It was familiar, but he could not quite place it.* Then he saw the look of horror in his beloved's face, and then he knew what it was. The last thing he noticed before he fell to one knee, was that she was closer to Arkus than he was. Then, his vision blurred and his ears were filled with an indescribable cacophony that threatened to steal his insanity. However, he felt somehow more conscious than he remembered being -- that is to say, he had some knowledge of being conscious, as opposed to none whatsoever, as was his vague recollection from before. Had his thoughts been less unbelievably cluttered, he might have thought that with proper preparation, the stones might not adversly affect his mind. Things being as they were, though, any such thought was a long way away.
The king's left arm fell limp, and his body leaned heavily on his right knee, which he managed to keep uneasily on the ground. His right arm was also quite limp, but he gripped the statue-version of Zenjirou firmly in his hand. "You..." Falcone almost wheezed, his breath pained and greatly labored, "... are the... pathetic one.... Resorting to... Valkier's... dirty tricks.... There can be... no honor... in such a... 'victory.'" Here, the king paused for several seconds, making a visible effort to keep his leg stable. "I will not... allow... any victory." OOC: *WTF spider sense? |

Melia broke out in a cold sweat when she felt cold metal touch her arm. A gun muzzle. Suddenly, the far side of the arm that had not been hurt earlier felt like it burst into flames. "Gyaah, " Melia screeched, eyes watering. "Luddamn, Kamil, you were right. Getting shot hurts. And here, I laughed at you... Next time I see you, I'll apologise," she muttered, making a mental note. "Blood doesn't look good on you, General," Melia panted, wincing. Thankfully, she missed most, or all, of the bone, Melia thought, grateful for her good luck. Stahlflugel let go of the General's throat, and instead, grabbed hold of her long braid and yanked it. HARD. "I am a very stubborn person, General, we'll do this as long as I have to." OOC:and it continues!!! LOLL

"I don't like it when people meddle in MY affairs." he turned his gaze in the general direction of the three "intruders." "I'll put it away if you will agree to hold your blade against me for the time being. If not, I could just leave you here. Your choice, but I won't wait long." |

The general narrowed her eyes when the girl mentioned a 'Kamil,' and recalled that she had mentioned a brother earlier. She knew a Kamil, who just so happened to be an Amran, as well! Not just any Amran, but he had been a prince before Amra fell to the Empire and the monarchy was stripped of all its power. She also knew that his sister was unaccounted for…
Suddenly, Elaina felt her opponent yank her braid hard. She turned her head and allowed herself to be pulled down; knowing that resisting the force would be quite painful, and could possibly, depending on the girl’s strength, result in a broken neck. The young general found her face incredibly close to her opponent’s and she managed to pick out a few physical features. She knew it was risky, but she decided to take a shot in the dark. OOC:No pun intended ;) “You must be lonely with out your family,” Elaina whispered softly because if she spoke any louder then her voice became raspy. Her voice was soft, kind, sympathetic and sincere, and yet there was still a bitter-sweet tone in her voice. “You’re brother is worried about you. I can take you to Kamil, Jalila Yasuna.” |

But... what General Storming was saying about her brother was amazing. He was alive? She could take Melia to him? Tears started at her eyes. She had thought he had died seven years ago in the cave-in...
Seven Years Ago A servant came into Stahlflugel's room on the Western Viking. He interrupted her work on a sword for a particularly important diplomat, and so she was pissed until she saw who the letter was from. Her brother. She hadn't heard from him in the year since she had run away, and eager to find out what was happening, she ripped the envelope open. OOC:Melia thinks she "ran away" and "wasn't a proud Sindhian warrior" and all that crap, but she was really shoved on the Western Viking for her own safety by her family (8 yrs ago). xDD;
What she read within made her drop to the floor, weighed down with horror and sadness. "Jaa-mara, I am sending you this letter now because, although I know contact with you endangers us all, I fear this will be the last time I will be able to write to you for a long while... I may never write again. As you know from previous letters, the three of us were stripped from the monarchy, just like the other seven royal families. Dad, bro, and I were assigned to labour in Mine Eleven under the Great Mountains. They shaved our hair (can you believe it? several people cried, including Jamal.), dressed us in shifts, and took us away to the oily black hell we would come to call home. For a while, things were hard, but we managed... until, one day, the Empire came looking for Dad. They took him away, and I have not seen him since. Mine Eleven is a coal mine, cold, wet, and the black dust clogs the air. Jamal became sicker daily, because of the dust... his lungs slowly filled up with it until they couldn't work any longer. One day, I didn't see him, and that was the end of it. I am too preoccupied with living to much care about the gone... The atrocities I have seen here will never leave me. They haunt my thoughts during the day and dreams at night. I can't escape the Tiershaa. No one can. The disfigured, the starving, the wounded, the sick, we all work together, a sad, black-covered mass of humanity that has to be whipped to move. This is a large (I do not know exactly how large, I have only seen one part of the mines), profitable mine, but even so, there are hardly any safety precautions--cyanide poisoning, caustic burns, and such happen daily. The sounds of daily life are the thumder of hammers and drills, and screams echoing up and down the tunnels... And as such, the only things holding up the tunnels are small poles. There was a disturbance in the earth yesterday, and some of them have shifted or cracked. I approached one of the overseers and told him this. He spat at me, and told me to get back to work. They have the attitude that we're expendable, that we're worth nothing. They will see, someday, that the government should fear its people, not the other way around... So, Jaa-mara, I fear I will die in this black Hell before too long. If the tunnel doesn't collapse on me... I will succumb to something else soon enough. Nobody lasts long... I love you so much, don't feel guilty for what we made you do. Be happy for me, for all of us. Remember us by living a good life, promise me that. -Your brother, Kamil." "Luddamn," Melia sobbed, curling into a ball on the foreign metal floor. How dare they take everything from the planet of Amra? From her? Why were they so inhumanly cruel? A single newspaper article sat on her desk from the day before. 'Amran Mine Collapses Due To Recent Earthquake Kill 25,000...' --- Melia let go of the General entirely, shaking and sobbing with relief. Something else was there, too, that she had not felt in eight years... hope. "He's alive... Ka-mara's... alive." She said, utterly stunned. In some small way, we've begun to fight back. All of us. We will rebel with every fiber of our beings. OOC:A BOOK. D: But it's rather neccessary, in order to understand some stuffs.
Yayy, this means Melia's history is all straightened out~! *celebration* OK MO, YOU ARE CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF... aka knock her out. DD: "...I've come to claim what's mine..." --Every Angel, TPS This song really sums up the Rebel position well... :O in some small way we have begun to fight back by thriving when they would smother us by living when they would kill us fighting when we have nothing left to go on together we will be strong |

"Mai rei, do we really want to trust him? I....", she paused for breath, "...I don't know if it is wise to believe in him, but Hawkes and the others are on that ship, and it seems as if they're being attacked... We must do something." Akari finished her message and dropped back down on to the ground again, sweat trickling down the side of her face. OOC: TEH BLAH FTL |

Elaina smirked slightly at the Amran's reaction; it was what she had hoped for. In a flash the general leapt to her knees grabbed the girl's shoulder roughly, and hit her hard over the head with the butt of her gun. "Sleep well, child," she whispered. The she holstered her gun, and her eyes narrowed as she sprinted to where Hawkes was trying to open the door that led to the twins. She reached one hand into her vest pocket to grab hold of the silver eagle statuette in case he was needed. She bent over and tackled her opponent, shoving her shuolder into his stomach. |

As the darkness overcame her, she transmitted her last thought: /Hawkes... everyone... I'm... sorry... Her body went limp as she fell into a deep state of unconsciousness from which she did not return for a long time... OOC:Will post Kamil's bio up later, b/c I plan on RPing him~ |

The mine on the door was set for when he needed it, though. He fell to the ground and guessed that Stahlflugel wouldn't be wielding a revolver, so he had no problem drawing his blade of energy and move it in the general direction of Elaina's head.
"Do you mind?" Hawkes asked, glaring at Valkier's second. "I don't like getting knocked to the ground when I'm not paying attention. That's not nice." OOC:wh00. |

In an instant, her own blade of energy appeared and blocked Hawkes' attack, saving her head from decapitation. She parried his blow, pushing his sword aside, and leaving him wide open for another attack. Using the momentum from her parry, she kicked her opponent in the chest.
"Whoever said I was nice?" The general asked coolly. "You better check your sources, old boy. You seem to have been misinformed." OOC:wow, another short post!! @__@ |

"I doubt you even know where I would get my sources from." Hawkes said smugly as he attacked. |

Knowing that she wouldn't be able to block the attack she allowed herself to collapse on the floor, and landed into a roll. "I doubt I could careless," Elaina scoffed softly. |

"Maybe you should." Hawkes shot back as he made his attack. "Tell me, did you enjoy watching your father die? I'm sure you've justifyed it in your mind somewhere, but just how did it feel for you to have your own father executed?" OOC:mind game time |

Yankeirou had turned back into a stutette once more, but the general still clasped him in her hand. She sprinted toward him, but before she reached him, she flipped over him, and landed lightly behind him. Then, she jumped up, grabbed him around the neck and held him in a head lock while pulling him down with all her weight. "No, I didn't enjoy it," she said with a wicked gleam in her icy eyes. "I relished every moment of it... almost as much as I enjoyed thrashing that little Amran. New girlfriend, Hawkes?" |
