She stood up from the chair, and streached her legs, arms, and neck. "So, should we go after the infiltrators, or stay here on the off chance they'll miss us? Either way works for me." Stahlflugel itched her ribs. Funny, they no longer hurt... Must not have been broken after all, she thought, rubbing the tender bruised area. "I don't know what they're here after, but hell, they ain't gettin' it without a fight." OOC:We's about to get pizzowned?!?!?!??! OH SHIYAT, SONNN. ;o; |

She kept Yankeirou positioned in her hand to keep Gemini from seeing what she was holding. Yankeirou opened his mouth and released a small beam of energy just thick enough to cut through the ship. She cut out a hole just wide enough to allow her to slip through, and she pushed the disc of metal up and aside to allow her to get into the ship. She looked back at Gemini; they had a slender build, they should be able to get in just fine. Elaina reached up and pulled herself into the storage closet. She stood up and listened for anyone nearby. After she didn’t hear anyone, she gave the twins the ok to come in. Needless to say the small closet became quite crowded.
It was hard to see in the dark closet, and it took a few moments for the general’s hand to find the switch to open the door. The door slid open slightly, and Elaina peeked out to check if the coast was clear. She slid one of her guns out of the holster on her belt, and the door silently opened the rest of the way to allow Elaina to step out. After checking the coast one last time she signaled for the twins to follow. OOC:pwn!! >.< |

Akari had been one of the most deft women at the fencing academy, and thus considered herself quite the formidable opponent when it came to such things as sword fighting. She quickly leaned back, her back almost parallel to the ground as Arkus' blade cut through air. A split-second after the blade passed through where her neck was, she snapped back up and spun counter-clockwise, swinging her blade back at the Keitosian in one fluid-like motion, aiming now at his throat.
"I know it must be fun to watch, mai rei, but I would appreciate your help.", Akari said to her husband telepathically, a bit of humor audible in her voice. |

"Starting at the center of the ship, I'm sending out a signal to pick up all humanoid lifeforms within the 50 meter radius. There should be no more than five, you, me, the Xarians and the bounty hunter. If there are more, then there's a problem." A signal shot out. The results would come momentarily as the signal reached the boundary and returned the data. "And here we go..." he said, pulling the results on the monitor. I have one Amran, one rebel fight, two Xarians, a bounty hunter, and...what the...three other people that do not belong on this ship." Hawkes shook his head. "Party time." he muttered under his breath. *** /Do not take me lightly./ Arkus sent telepathically to both of them, slapping the thrust aside with relative ease. /You will regret it./ He immediately launched a deadly offensive flurry at the Xarian Queen. OOC:Yes, arkus can communicate using telepathy. no, he cannot hear what they say to each other. yes, he can telepathically communicate with anyone by his choice. |

The twins approached the door slowly and examined it for a few moments, ignoring the general's impatient foot tapping.
"Well," Elaina asked, her voice was soft but cool, and she checked the corridor to see if anyone was coming. "Are you going to go in anytime soon? We are short on time. No telling what the rebels will do to you if you're caught. No pressure though." "Right," Gemini said. "Well, the security looks fairly standard, but," said the one. "Not quite," finished the other. "It was only meant to look standard. In reality it's much more complex. Whoever made this is a technical genius." "But, of course we're way to clever to fall for something like that," continued the first. "We saw through the farce immediately." "Then why are we still out here?" Elaina asked, raising an eyebrow. Gemini cleared their thraots in unison and reached into their back pockets to pull out small hand-held computers and mini tool kits. "Patience is a virtue, General," said one opening his mini tool kit. "What we do is an art." "And when you rush art," added the other. "You get crappy art." The two of them crowded around the door's control... panel... thingy? completely blocking it from Elaina's veiw. They fell quiet, except for the whispers and random beeping and whirring noises, so Elaina assumed they were being useful. The seconds tick by like hours, and Elaina waited in silence, listening for approaching footsteps. "We're in!" The twins rejoiced softly as the door silently slid open. The twins slipped in and immedately started to do whatever they were supposed to do. Elaina poked her head in. "You have 3 minutes, give or take maybe one," Elaina hissed. "Patience is a virtue, General," they replied in unison. The general rolled her eyes. "Well," she sighed. "If we encounter rebels, I want you to finish up as quickly as possible and go back to the ship. I'll keep them occupied for as long as possible, so don't wait up. Run, and that's an order." "Yes ma'am," they answered curtly, and she went back out into the hall and waited. Elaina looked around and detiremined the direction where the cockpit would be. If anyone was going to come, they would probably come this way. A smirk played across her lips and she took out her comcube. "Taurus, my good man," she said almost smugly. "I would like a distraction." "Anywhere in particular... General?" replied the muscle man, the emphasis on 'General' was slightly sarcastic, but Elaina decided to ignore it. With any luck he'd get shot. "I'm so glad you asked," Elaina answered sweetly. "Aim for the cockpit. Fire three or four rounds with that bazooka of yours." "Yes, ma'am," Taurus said. Elaina smiled at the excitement in his voice. She wanted him to aim for the cockpit because it was practically on the other side of the ship, and anyone on the ship would run to see what had happened there before even thinking of coming to the core whether or not their prescence had been detected. She heard four explosions that shook the ship as well. "What's going on?" Gemini asked shakily. "Just a distraction," Elaina replied. "You're fine, Gemini. Get back to work." Gemini nodded, and disappeared back into the room. OOC:yay books.... |

Stahlflugel was abruptly interrupted as she was thrown to the ground by the explosion caused by Taurus' missiles. A heavy-duty ceiling tile above her came detatched, and fell on her arm. Melia coughed heartily until the dust cleared. "Shi~t, " she said, staring at the empty, adhesive-covered square where the tile used to be. She lay there another minute, in total and complete awe. "...Why me? Why is it always me?" Stahlflugel deftly flipped the tile off, but not without pain. Once the large piece of ceiling was off her arm, she stood up, dusted herself off, and removed a few metal splinters. She then noticed the two-foot-long, indigo stain creeping beneath her skin. "Oh yeah, that's attractive," she said facetiously, glaring at the ugly bruise on her left arm and shoulder. "Hey Hawkes, you OK?" OOC:Hawkes + dust in hair = even more Kakashi-like xD |

You seem to forget that you are outnumbered, my friend, Falcone responded with calm politeness in his "voice." At that moment he swooped in at Arkus from behind, slashing horizontally at the Keitosian's exposed back. Though the Keitosian's strange spell did not allow him to see or hear the explosions, he sensed that his friends were having a bit of trouble. He also sensed something quite unexpected -- another mystical creature. Though he would have liked to think that this creature was fighting on their side, the predicament they were left in did not seem to favor this idea. He endeavored to send Hawkes a telepathic message. Though he knew the spell forbade light and sound to enter and exit, he didn't expect that it would keep out mental energy. Hawkes, be warned -- there is another mystical creature in your midst besides your eagle and Melia's shark! OOC: bleah... X3;

/That may be, mate.../ he "said," /But I'm used to fighting with a disadvantage./ He proceeded to leap from his place between the Xarians to behind Falcone and started the flurry again. *** Hawkes sat up and shook his head to clear the cobwebs. "Son of a Bitch!" he shouted angrily dusting himself off and going to the (thankfully) undamaged control panel. "Four missiles by some form of personal cannon. Had to have come from outside this ship and..." he said, suddenly pausing. A warning light was flaring on the panel. "What the hell?!" he said, flipping a few switches to turn defense systems on. "Some empire dog is in MY computer core? That does it!" Hawkes activated the cameras in that hallway and warmed up the security shields. "Where's the breach?" he muttered, scanning his ship for the entrance the intruders came through in. The camera then turned on to show him a picture of a woman standing outside the door of the computer room, with two slight figures inside it. Hawkes paled. "Well, well, well..." he said, blowing a low whistle. "General Storming herself. This is not looking good." At that point, he received Falcone's telepathic message about the mystical creature. Concentrating and hoping it worked, he focused his will to reply. /I know, damnit, and it's worse than that, it seems it belongs to Valkiers second in command!/ Hawkes picked up a small speaker device on his panel. "As honored as I am by your presence, General," he said into it, his voice projected through the whole ship, "I would warn your hackers that if they don't get off my computer's systems in two seconds, the security systems might destroy them." As he said this, the security doors closed in every section of the ship, sealing off every door save the few that stood between the rebels and the general. The twins were sealed inside the computer room, and the terminal began running it's emergency shutdown scripts. OOC:w00t. no data for you :P |

She suppressed her first instinct to run to the door, and check on her men inside the computer core. Instead she located the camera; it had to be somewhere if he (by the sound of his voice) knew who she was. She looked directly at the camera as she walked slowly toward it; her ice-blue eyes flickered with malice, and she clapped her gloved hands in sarcastic praise.
“Good show, dear boy,” Elaina mocked, and relaxed her hands on her hips. “However, locking those two in with your precious little computer will probably prove to be the worst mistake you shall ever make.” She paused as though she had to think for a moment, but her small, taunting smirk never left her lips, and then she looked back into the camera. “Well, except maybe the time when you chose to join the Resistance, and house the Xarians.” Her laugh was mirthless, and she slowly drew her revolver from the holster on her belt, not bothering to hide what she was doing. How would he stop her? “Would you like to come out and play, little rebel? You better hurry, lad, because I won’t be here for long.” Then she fired her gun, and shot out the camera to end the commission. The general gave a satisfied nod, fairly sure that he would come out to meet her challenge. Men were so predictable that way, and being the rebel scum that he is, she was fairly sure he’d have a friend or two to back him up. Her curiosity was slightly stirred that he could recognize her without all that pomp she was required to wear as a general. Elaina holstered her gun, took out her comcube, and contacted Gemini. “Are you two chaps all right in there?” she asked dryly. “Of course!” cheered one. “Couldn’t be better!” rejoiced the other. “We haven’t had this much fun-” “Since the time we programmed all the droids on the Naga to do the Macarena simultaneously!” “No way! TP-ing General Glavin’s room, office and ship was way more fun!” “I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that if you complete you mission successfully,” Elaina rolled her eyes. She could hear them working in the background. “How is the harvest coming?” “It’s going swimmingly…” “Well, it’s trying to shut down on its own. Some kind of emergency security thingy and that’s a little annoying…” “But it’s just a speed bump. We had her singing like a canary a moment ago, and we’ll get her to sing again.” “But we can only access one or two data bases at a time now, so it will take a little longer than we first expected it to.” “That’s fine, I’ll buy you time,” Elaina assured them. “How much do you need?” “Ten… Fifteen minutes…” “The more the better!” “I’ll do what I can,” the general sighed. “I’m not going to bother opening the door then. You’re probably safer if you stay sealed up with your toys for a tick. It’s going to get hot out here.” She then contacted Taurus and Sagittarius. “Right then, lads. Bombard this hunk of junk. Just be sure to miss the computer core area because we’re still hard a work here. When we leave, I want this ship to look more like Swiss cheese. I don’t care how you do it, just get it done!” “Yes, ma’am!” the two rogues answered in unison. There was a brief pause, and then suddenly all of heck broke lose. Elaina smiled to herself and leaned against a wall, satisfied that even if the twins did not get their information (she was fairly sure that they would), the ship would be in no condition to go anywhere fast. The rebel pigs would be sitting ducks for the Emperor. OOC:Two can play at this game. Nice try though! :P |

Hawkes rocked in his chair as the missiles connected. The attacks were relatively minor however, for this was a ship that could withstand extreme punishment. "They're getting really annoying out there. I may go deal with them personally." Hawkes said after a moment, hardly phased. He had his plan to keep the general from walking away with anything valuable. After all, with no electrical systems, how can any hacking be accomplished? "General Storming," Hawkes said, for while there was no visual, there was still a loudspeaker. "Tell me, how well can you fight in the dark?" With that, he nodded to Melia and shut the speakers off. He wasn't worried about his ship, the barrage of missiles was only going to do so much damage, which Hawkes would repair. "I'm going to detonate the EMP." Hawkes told Melia privately. "When we get to the darker areas of the ship, follow Xenos' guide." With that, he hit the EMP effectively shutting down all electronic systems within a given radius temporarily. The electro-magnetic pulse had two settings: The first sent out a minor pulse wave, the second, which he used now, was more of an implosion. All the deactivating energies hit the ship itself, shutting down all power: lights, clocks, communicators, and even the security systems and the main computer. "Gotcha." Hawkes whispered. /Don't EVER try to take me on in my own ship, dear general.../ he thought. /I know it one million times better than you./ With that thought, he began sneaking out of the still somewhat lighted cockpit as the ship shook from the barrage. He was going hunting. OOC:/But wait.../ he realized after a moment. /Hunting implies the possiblity of faliure.../ He smiled after a second. /I'm going killing./ XD |

Elaina raised an eyebrow when she heard the man's voice again. The dark? her question was answered when the lights went off and the hum of the engines were cut off. Ah, I see... Well then, she laughed and took out Yankeirou and held him out in the palm of her hand. "This is getting interesting, my friend," Elaina told the little statue as silver eagle hovered in front of her, and a small shiver went down her spine. "I'm so excited, I'm shaking! It's been a while since I've fought in the dark." "You haven't since you were head of the Empire's Intelligence," Yankeirou confirmed. He did not seem to be enjoying himself as much as the little general. "Are you sure you'll be able to-" "Of course," Elaina interrupted, waving his concern away. "I didn't stop training when I became a general, you know." Yankeirou didn't give a snappy retort as he usually did, but he let out a tired sigh instead. Elaina's brow furrowed slightly. This isn't like him... "What is wrong, Yankeirou?" she asked offering him her arm to perch on. He accepted and lightly landed on her arm. "Nothing," he answered flatly. "Just be careful, child." With that said he slipped back into the statue, leaving Elaina in the dark. The general sighed, and put the statue away. She checked on the twins, who were still working in the core with some batteries they had brought along. They said they only needed them until they got the lights back up. "I'm ready," Elaina said into the dark, and her blue eyes gazed out into the darkness as she listened for a sound to alert her of their coming. She drew her two guns from the holsters on her belt, and then returned to relaxing against the wall. The general waited for the rebels like a black widow spider waiting in the dark for a couple of insects to walk into her web. OOC:Bring it on! ;) |

Melia had a strange sensation by way of Xenos when the EMP went off, but it soon faded. She nodded back at Hawkes in the fading light, following him and Xenos toward the Alliance enemies. It all depended on chance as to which one of them they bumped into first. OOC:does this even make sense?? hell if I care. D: YAY THE FLU. *throat bursts into flames* |

/What the hell was that?/ Arkus thought, sensing that his shield generator was not functioning at the moment. Not that it mattered, he wouldn't need it until he fought anyone armed with a blaster. Right now, however, he sensed something strange was going on outside the sphere. He wasn't one to let things as they were, so he decided he would need to see outside. Because the darkness had given him a slight edge, he decided to keep the advantage on his side. He pulled the small stone out from the folds of his cloak and dropped it on the ground a foot or so from the Xarians. He dispelled the darkness globe and let the sun shine down on the stone which he had stolen from Valkier. As soon as it did, Arkus got a headache and found that many of his innate powers seemed out of his reach. /Damn you, mate.../ he thought, rubbing one hand against his temple. He smiled, however, when he realized that the Xarians would fare FAR worse than he did. |

Hawkes did not activate his blade for fear of the light giving away his position, so, as stealthily as he could, he snuck down the corridor to the area where he knew the intruders to be last. He drew a small remote flash bomb from his belt and lobbed it down into the room. He quietly turned behind the door for protection as it clanked into the hall a distance away from where he stood. He prepared to have it detonate after the general made her counter. She wouldn't ignore the loud clanking noise of a object hitting the floor. |
