But I'm not really the most creative when it comes to titles, usually. Anyway, in the interest of maybe sparking some more activity here, or at least finally giving Lyn an intro, here's a post for random smugglers, spies, bounty hunters, and the like to hang around. And, the Imperial influence allows characters from that side to show up, too.
The Crimson Lotus was finally cleared for docking and slipped out of the queue of waiting ships. Moments later, it quietly came to a stop at one of the orbital station's docks. Lyn brought the ship through its usual shutdown cycel and final check, and left the cockpit. Making a stop in his quarters to pull a set of clothes over his armor, he give his pet a status report. "Well, Interceptor, we're taking a little break from the ship. I'm sure you'd love to go for a walk by now. The Lotus could use a bit of service, but I think we'll have to wait on that. So, it'll be time to look for a fresh mission." By now, the android was dressed in a pair of black pants and his jacket. He zipped the jacket up over his breastplate and decided he couldn't wear his armor's boots with the pants, trading them for a pair in leather. He checked to make sure he had throwing needles up his sleeves and his beam saber at his belt before leaving. "C'mon, boy, let's go." Interceptor followed his master as he headed for the airlock. Later, Lyn walked along one of the station's streets, Interceptor at his side, looking for a promising bar. He eventually settled on somewhat dark looking cantina on a side street. It had the feel of business all around it. He took a seat at the bar and tapped at it idly. The bartender approached the blue-haired assassin and asked him the usual question for a place like this. "So, what'll it be?" "Gin and tonic," Lyn replied softly. He didn't know teh palce, so he wasn't going to bother with a more exotic selection. OOC:And, there we go. I hope it wasn't wrong to make another post like this. |

A loud, gruff cheer rose from a small round table in the shadowy corner of the establishment, accompanied by a similarly loud pounding of fists on said table. A particularly hairy male stood up, apparently quite full of pride in himself. He was extremely large, both in bulk and in height, yet seemed very stable on his feet. His face was no exception to this bulk; he had large, puffy cheeks like that of a chipmunk, both of which were flecked with pink -- he was probably quite drunk. He wore simple attire, rags mostly, and something not uncommon in the slums which most areas of the planets Valkier took over were. "Bartender!" the large man shouted in a gruff, deep voice which lacked clarity due to a fairly thick, obscure accent. The comprehensibility was of course not helped by his lack of sobriety. "I gots me some big winnin's he'r; gimme the hard'st shi' you 'an servff!" The bartender obliged stolidly, handing the man a fizzing concoction which seemed to have in it a mixture of various neon colours. It popped and fizzed as the large man took it in his hand, and the bartender took the generous amount of extra change his drunken patron handed him with a great deal of aplomb; he was well practiced at such things, as getting a bit more than normal for drinks was how he could maintain the business and keep a decent life at home as well, considering the conditions they were all in. After taking a large gulp of the fizzy mixture, the large man wobbled up to the bar, plopping down on a chair next to Lyn. His body shook violently for a moment, before he calmed down. Turning to face the beside him, he began to speak. "So, how's you do'n, frien'?" he asked, his speech even more slurred than before. |

That's sort of anotehr reason I tossed this up. Neutral types sort of need somewhere that isn't the rebel base tey can use as a starting point.
Lyn looked up at the overlarge man, hardly moving his head. He brushed at a few stray strands of cyan hair that obscured his vision. "I'm fine," he replied. "Money's getting a little tight, but it practically always does, hereabouts." At least in my line of work, he added as a thought, the empire's good for business. |

Pyne entered the bar, it was one of her favorites. There were plenty of drunk suckers who couldn't bluff their way out of a paper bag. She passed Lyn and the hairy fellow and sat at her usual place a few seats down and crossed her legs. The bartender came to her, "What'll it be, Pyne?" "My usual, Joe," she said in a sleepy tone, and gave a small yawn. The bartender nodded, turned away for a few seconds, then placed a tall, slender glass filled with a green concoction that fizzed slightly. "Thanks," she nodded, taking the glass. Pyne closed her eyes, tipped the glass, and drained it with one gulp. The drink was unbearably sweet causing Pyne's eyes to fly open, and shuddered slightly. "I needed that." The Tanokian now felt completely awake and alert. "I can tell," Joe chuckled and went off to serve another customer. Pyne idly traced circles, while staring at the menu. OOC:ACK!!!! UBER CRAP!!! >_< hope no one minds that i named the bartender. ^^; |

Which was sort of hard while wearing a maroon cape, one of those colors only the well-off could afford. Walking slowly, she put the hood over her bowed head. She was so intent on getting to the bar unrecognized that she ran into a table! One of the four relitively sharp edges stabbed into her groin, causing her to double over in pain. Unknown to her, the stap attatching Nero to her back had snapped!
She stood up, and the heavy axe fell, leaving a small crater in the floorboards. "...Nar kla," she muttered in Lekh. The whole of the bar was staring at her.[/color:7880720c44] |
