Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | A small burst of energy registered with the young Hyuuga, and then it ended. He looked outside. He saw the end of what might have been a small tornado. What the hell...? he thought. He turned to Iruka, who had nodded off in at his desk. Picking a pebble off the floor, he flicked it at the sleeping Chuunin's head. Iruka awoke instantly.
"Iruka...Did you feel that?" he asked quietly. "Feel what?" Iruka asked stupidly. "The sudden blast of energy! It then disappeared!" the young Hyuuga said. Iruka shrugged. "Check it out, if you want..." he began, but the other Chuunin was already gone. Two girls were searching around the area of a tree. Sanjuro sprinted over. "Er...did you lose something?" he asked. Tomino shook her head. "We lost someone!" she cried. "We lost the third member of our team, Meiko!" Mitsuki said. "She was here when we went for drinks, and then she wasn't!" Sanjuro thought about this. Could the energy he felt have been from a transportation technique? Sanjuro was unsure...he wondered how close the young Genin was...he leaped over the wall surrounding the school and sprinted to the gates. Bounding over them, he landed on the other side, sunglasses off. "Byakugan!" he said, invoking his bloodline limit. Observing the area around, he saw no sign of any one in the surrounding forest area. Damn... he thought. A lost Genin. Hope she's still in Konoha... |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Frantically, Meiko struggled to perform the same seals as the older ninja. She was suprised that she was able to copy them quickly and flawlessly. Maybe she did have potential... Pushing the thought aside, she watched him and copied the last of the seals. When he stopped, Meiko looked up, confused.
"Ahh... what now...?" She asked, puzzled. |

Kenji forms a warm, comforting smile upon his face once again as he looked at Meiko. As he looked on, he could not stop the corners of his mouth from turning up into more of malicious grin as he anticipated what was about to happen. The glow from the runes of the plane* began to pulse, slowly at first, then faster and faster. "And now, brace yourself," Kenji said, the previous warmth in his voice draining uncontrollably. "For now it begins." As he spoke these words, he took a large step back, crossing his arms over one another. The pulsing stopped, with the intensity of the glow brighter than ever. Without warning, the brilliant green lights of the runes sprung from the ground, spiraling around the young Genin. The lights wrapped themselves around her body, and she was overcome with a pain like she had never felt before. Her entire body ached as though she had been recently smacked with a sledge hammer in every possible inch of her being; her hands, her toes, her ears -- everything was in a horrible, throbbing pain. It was nearly unbearable, and she immediately lost the strength and will to stand, collapsing onto the ground and curling up into the fetal position. Then, her definition of pain recieved yet another refinement. In the area on her back where the bones of the shoulder can be seen, an intense new pain appeared, somehow more acute than the one surrounding the rest of her person. It was as though the bones there had been slowly crushed and the surrounding muscles ripped to shreds. But it did not end there. Moments after this new feeling came into existance, the torture was strengthened further as this area of the back began to become red and bruised-looking. The pain felt as though, compounded upon the previous pain, two recently forged and molten hot blades were shoved forcibly through her back. Kenji looked on happily as the young girl writhed in agony. She had survived, passed the test. She was strong and worthy of the gift which he had bestowed upon her. She would suit his needs well. After what seemed like hours of that intense torment, though may have only been closer to half a minute, Meiko was released from the bonds of pain. She fell into the realm of unconsciousness, as was to be expected, and the area returned to the way it was before they had entered. Kenji walked triumphantly forward, examining the results. He was quite pleased with what he saw. The girl lay before him, sprawled upon the ground, with her eyes closed shut and mouth hanging slightly open. The most noticable discovery, however, was the set of beautifuly white, angelic wings which presently sprouted from her back. Her jacket was practically ruined, but he figured she would care little, for the new appendage on her back would increase her speed and agility exponentially. That aside, she would be able to fly. Laying a strong yet gentle hand upon her shoulder, Kenji performed a quick seal, and dissappeared in a small puff of smoke. -- Moments later, he reappeared in a small hut, big enough to house a small kitchen-like area, a bed, and a small area near the door to sit about and meditate. He laid the young Genin in the bed and pulled the covers over her tender body, and dropped onto the ground before the door, placing his hands behind his head. He closed his eyes, and drifted into a perfected state of "half-sleep" which would allow his body to rest, whilst he could still maintain a competant knowledge of his surroundings. "Now all I've left to do is wait for her to awaken," he murmured aloud while he was still conscious enough to do so. |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | When Meiko finally opened her eyes again, she found herself in a dark cabin. She was able to see that it was clearly late evening, almost night. Without remembering what had happened previously, she leaned up too fast, and a sharp, dagger-like pain shot through her back. She screamed loudly, gripping the skin on her back with her left hand. Her nails dug into her flesh, puncturing it, and causing blood to trickle down her back. After a few minutes the pain subsided, or to be more exact, dwindled slightly, and she pulled her arm away. She felt something brush against her arm as she pulled away; something that she didn't remember having. The young genin turned her head, observing a pair of snow white wings. "M... my god..."
Carefully she removed her tattered happi coat that was now soaked in blood. She then removed her black shirt so that she could air out her back. Meiko licked her finger and futilly attempted to wash some of the blood off of her back, but to no avail. With a heavy sigh she stroked her left wing, in awe of them. "I wonder how I move them...?" she questioned nobody in particular. With her right hand, she gripped one wing softly and moved it out and in. This, of course, was a foolish idea. The pain that soon followed this manuever hurt immensely. She wanted to scream, but she held it in this time. Instead, Meiko gripped the covers of the bed she was on tightly. "Ah... Definately... not a good idea..." She shook her head lightly, using a clean part of her happi coat to wipe the sweat and tears from her face. "How did I get here...? Where's that guy?" Just as she had asked this of herself, she looked to her left and saw 'that guy', half asleep against the wall. Her face turned almost as red as the blood that had dried on her back as she pulled the comfertors up to cover her bare chest. |

He opened his eyes slowly, for it took some time for his eyes to adjust to the darker room caused by the lateness of the day. At length he rose from his resting position and moved towards the stove, whereupon a small saucepan lay. The coils under it were hot and red, causing the liquid in the pan to give off a soft steam, which smelled strongly of roses. He poured this liquid into a small earthenware mug and walked it over to the young Genin.
"Here," he said kindly as he handed Meiko the mug. "This will ease the pain. It's probably one of the better tasting pain remedies I've stumbled across, so you won't have to worry overlymuch about holding your nose." Kenji moved calmly to the other side of the room after the girl had taken the concoction, and pulled out a large metal tub, into which he placed a hose. After turning a knob on the wall, pleasantly hot water trickled happily into the metal basin, releasing a calming steam into the air. From a cabinet on the wall he produced a set of towels, and a small bar of soap. From another cabinet closer to the door he revealed a large robe which appeared to have been worn only once or twice, and set this upon the table with the towels and soap. "I've a feeling you will want to wash up a bit once that drink gets some life back into you. I don't have many clothes, but you may wear that robe for now, if you wish. I shall return in about an hour with some food, and hopefully some replacement clothing." He informed her to try to figure out how to stretch her wings, but warned her not to attempt flight yet, and set off. He quickly performed the Kadoguchi no jutsu and returned to Konoha village, behind the school, right where he had left only a few hours previous. He glanced about him, regaining his bearings, wondering where he could find suitable replacement clothes for the young girl. OOC: oooh, old english type stuff in this post: "at length", "wherupon." charles dickens and george orwell are getting into my head. ACtually, i think it was mostly george orwell (book: 1984) that influenced those terms, but whatever. they sound so cool!
also, boots: I returned to the village mainly so that you could have a chance to do something other than talking to yourself |

Presently he raised his arm to scratch the back of his head, which he tilted upwards in order to search his memory more readily. He stood for a moment like this, scratching his head, when at length he responded, leveling his head once again.
"No, I can't say I have." His voice lacked any uncertainty, and his reactions could pass a truth test easily, despite the lie which they held. "Sorry I can't help you, but perhaps you can help me. My little sister wishes dearly for a new happi coat and I am at a loss as to where I can purchase one! She is at home sick, and I desire so much to find her something to cheer her up. Do you think you could help me out?" Though the situation was false, Kenji's wants were true -- he knew the rest of her ensemble would be relatively easy to find, but he honestly had no idea where such a coat could be found. |

"Er...Let's see..." he said. "You are from Konoha, so you would know the roads...go a little past the school and turn left...should be able to find something there...'cuse me...gotta go and see if the girl is still in the village. Thanks anyway." He vanished and reappeared at the school. "Where could she be?" he thought aloud. |

Without further hesitation he began navigating the streets of Konoha village.
An hour later, he had in his possession as close a replica of Meiko's outfit as he could manage and a large bowl of steaming hot ramen. With the clothes across his arm and the noodles in one hand, he turned down an empty alley and performed his Gateway Technique. An instant later he appeared back amongst the forrest and the clearings, and made his way calmly back to his house. He stopped presently in front of the door and knocked on it. "May I enter?" he asks politely. "I've brought you some clothes and a bowl of ramen." |

The man from before asked permission to enter, and she quickly searched for the robe. However, she found one problem; she couldn't exactly fold her wings yet, so she was unsure of how to WEAR the robe. Quickly, she wrapped the robe around her chest and body, covering what was nessesary. Her wings protruded from her back like dove in a flock of ravens. "C-come in." she said meekly as she walked over to the bed and sat down once more. |

"OI!" the young Hyuuga called to the sleeping Chuunin. "How many times a day do you bloody sleep?! There's a missing Genin somewhere around the area, too!" "What?" Iruka said, out of sorts. "Who?" "I dunno...someone named Meiko...she disappeared anywhere from five to ten minutes ago..." "Well what the hell are we standing around here for? Come on!" Iruka yelled. Sanjuro stopped him. "Who's gonna watch your class? Stay here and keep them under control. I'll go talk with their sensei." OOC:btw...this is where i need to ask...do u want kakashi as ur sensei? ^^;; |

Tetsuo focused almost all of his chakra to his hands letting out a huge blast of sound waves. The ANBU fell back a few feet. He needed to hide or get hostages. He leaped into Konaha and landed quickly taking cover amongst the buildings. He found the school. There were weak people there, he ran in, and saw his former opponent. "For those of you who aren't hearing impaired, I would reccommend you to get in the corner, NOW!" |

Taking up the Jyuuken stance, he invoked the Byakugan and analyzed his opponent. He swiftly removed his sunglasses and locked eyes with Tetsuo, waiting to see it's effect.
"Get away from here." he snarled. "The last thing we need is you." |

Kenji entered the small hut slowly, and then stopped in hesitation when he saw the young girl's form. "Oh," he said appologetically. After a moment he continued moving forward, setting the clothing and the bowl down upon the table. "I didn't realize you weren't quite dressed yet. Here, I hope the outfit is suitable, and that the Ramen is to your liking. It sure smelled good." He turned to leave, then paused again. "If you have any questions, I'm here to answer them." |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Meiko shook her head and smiled. "Don't worry, it's not your fault." She looked over at the bowl of ramen and the clothing. Oh... raamen! I'm so hungry... And it's my favorite too... It took her a moment to register the apperance of the clothing before she jumped up to get a better look at it. "This... oh my god!" She jumped up in glee, laughing happily. "This is the coat I've been wanting to buy for months! Thank you so much!" In her happiness, she hugged the man tightly and smiled, holding the coat up to get a better look at it. After a few minutes she stopped adoring it and looked over at him. "Oh.. but... How can I wear it? My wings... They're..." She looked behind her at the large pair of wings on her back. |
