Meiko had been a Genin for about three months now. The training had been fairly strenuous, but it was all worth it for what she'd eventually become. Sure, Hokage would be a huge honor, but she didn't really want that; nor did she think she was strong enough for it. Meiko's black hair fell down, slightly past the small of her back. It was smooth and flowed smoothly as water with each fluid movement. She wore a black top with no sleeves that ended slightly before her belly button. A dark blue clothe was wrapped around her slender hips and was held by a small, red clip on her left side. On top of her black shirt she wore a japanese Happi coat that was also a navy blue in color. The symbol for water, 'Umi' was written in kanji on the back. She looked to be around thirteen or fourteen as she sat there in the grass, looking about with her jade eyes. The wind blew gently, blowing Meiko's hair into her mouth. She pulled it out easily, falling back into the grass and heaving a sigh. She quietly wondered to herself why kids would stay inside and fight during the one break they recieved durring the day. She was usually always alone during break, but that was normal for her.

OOC: hope you can follow where my post goes; it starts out closer to the other thread, then moves away

In the forest outside of Konoha Village, a man crouches upon a branch, high up on a tree. Though his attire -- entirely black -- would seem like it should stand out in the green foliage, he is strangely unnoticable, visible only to one looking specifically for him or who is using a vision-enhancing technique. The outer layer of his outfit was a thick, black cloak, with the large hood enveloping his head and shrouding the view of his face. Though covered by the cloak, he also wears thick, dark-colored pants and a coarse, leathery vest which in turn covers a slightly tight, long-sleeved shirt. His large yet nimble feet sat in simple leather/cloth shoes, enabling ease of motion with his feet as well as silence of movement. Even his hands had a dark-brown, leathery pair gloves upon them, such that almost no part of his body wasn't covered. His strong, bold shoulders seem to sag as though he suffered from a multitude of back problems. The man looked on, observing a small group of people standing about in a small dip in the land not too far away.

At the time, however, the man was getting bored with watching the group, and so with a swish of his cloak he dissappeared. Half a heartbeat later, the cloaked figure reappeared silently, many hundreds of meters in the air. The trailing edges of his cloak now hung back, seeming to act like wings to allow him to glide amongst the birds upon the thermals through the air. As he looked on through his shadow-covered eyes, he spotted his new destination -- the village of Konoha.

With practiced precision and calm grace, his swept the edges of his cloak in, spiraling downwards towards the ground at an excellerating pace. His face, though still shrowded in shadow, remained calm, as though he were simply walking upon the ground. Not long before he would be meeting the ground on unhappy terms, he raised his hands to his chest, performing a quick series of hand seals. As his hands stopped on their sixth and final seal, he pulled his body upright so that it looked as though he were standing on thin air.

Just before he collided with the grassy ground, a huge, invisible wave of wind shot up from the ground and out in a circle. This created a "cushion" of air which effectively slowed his intense plummet to almost nothing. He took his hands out of the last seal, and he dropped the remaining feet back to the ground, stirring up a small cloud of dust as he landed. He nods admiringly at the ground, as though some being in the ground itself had deemed him worthy enough to save, then resumed his forward motion, much slower now that he was upon solid ground. As he emerged from the grove of trees he'd landed on, he could make out the archway signifying the entrance to the Hidden Leaf Village.

Ah, he thinks to himself. It has been ages since I've visited this place. I wonder how they are doing?

The wind blew harder causing the clothe on her legs to flap above her thigh. Some younger, low level ninjas pointed and laughed, their faces red. Angrily she got up and chased after them, tossing some kunai at them just to scare them. They ran off, leaving her to growl as she picked up the kunai she'd tossed. She pushed her hair back, grumbling as she heard the bell. "I seriously don't feel like going to see sensei today..." She sighed, talking to herself. She looked out to the town longingly until she had a good idea. With a smirk she sneaked out of the gates and ran into the town. The aroma of soups, noodles and spices wafted in the air around Meiko, making her mouth water. She'd play hooky today and relax for a while; she deserved it. Cassually, she walked into the ramen shop and waved to the chef; they were friends. She sat down on a stool and began eating, slurping the ramen into her mouth with satisfaction.

After eating her fill, Meiko left the shop and wandered around the town. She looked at the buildings, observing them to see if anything had changed from the previous day. Everything was still the same.. She saw young children running around happily, playing tag or hide-and-seek. With a large sigh she put her hands behind her head, closing her eyes as she walked near the front of the town. Tired, she sat down on a bench and closed her eyes, dozing off for a few minutes.

As the man in the cloak neared the entrance to Konoha Village, he stepped once again off the path into the trees, just outside the vision of the guards. He pause a moment, his hands balled into fists at his sides and his eyes closed in consentration. Though he had a feeling he'd regret it, he then unhooked the clasp at his neck and removed his cloak. He balled it up and set it carefully behind a tree, out of view from the path.

His now uncovered face was revealed to be very handsome and slender, with a strong jaw and warm, blue eyes. His hair was long and unkempt, as though it had been kept under the hood for ages. He formed a few a small string of hand seals with surprisingly faster speed, and after forming the last one a cloud of smoke enveloped him. As this cloud dissappeared, he was revealed in a new outfit. He now wore an unzipped, thin black-leather jacket, the edges lined with a soft brown fur; the sleeves were pulled back to the elbows. Under this he wore a plain, dark grey T-shirt which hung out loosely over the top of his pants. This next part of his attire had not changed much, except to become slightly baggier and thus appear more comfortable. From a large inner pocket in the jacket he drew out a Konoha forhead protector and tied it around his left shoulder.

He adjusts his cold expression, donning more of a calm, subtly happy one which he knew many people from the village he was about to enter wore. Then, the man steps back onto the path and continues the rest of the way to the village entrance. He offers a polite nod to the guard on duty at the gate as he walks in, the man promptly returning the gesture. I think if I have to keep this up for much longer I'll become ill, he thinks to himself. Perhaps it'd be easier on my stomache if I kept out of such a polite and happy village. He looks around at the many buildings, taking in the sights with his calm, blue eyes. The scent of freshly cooked Ramen, Korean BBQ, and various other delectables wafted up to his nose.

"On second thought," he whispers to himself. "Maybe I'll stay for a while."

The soft sound of boots hitting the path into town woke Meiko up as soon as she had fallen asleep. She looked up and blushed, seeing an extremely handsome man standing in front of her. Her legs felt weak and her heart beat quickly as she struggled to speak. She did notice in her confusion that he wore the head protector of their town. So he's from here...? After collecting herself, she stood up and smiled weakly to him. "H-hello sir! I.. um... You seem to be a high level ninja or something.. Um... I'm not skipping... Um.. i was just on my way to class.. Um... Are you from here?" She felt so stupid. Her face was warm and she could barely speak. The wind picked up, carrying her soft hair in the breeze.

The gates of Konoha appeared in front of him. After a few days of traveling, Tetsuo had finally made it from the village of sound. His attachments on his arms whistled as the wind blew by him. He jumped over the gate and stared down at the rest of the town. One thought entered his mind, food. He noticed somebody who looked near his experience, and landed near him. He was with a girl, she looked kind, he could tell she wasn't all that high because from the look in her eyes he could tell she had never seen the bloodshed he had. "Where should a guy go to eat around here?" he asked, his mouth watering for some grub.

Meiko heard another deep voice and looked up, her eyes meeting with those of yet another experienced-looking ninja. His head protector was different from hers. Confused, she smiled weakly, her face red. "Ah.. The ramen shop is right up the street.." She pointed to her left where the aroma of ramen wafted in the air. "It's a really nice place." She smiled and scratched the back of her head. "I ... suppose I should be getting back to school..." She backed away slowly, wondering where this sudden burst of strangers had come from. Slowly she turned around and walked away, wondering what was going on.

OOC: -.- i'm getting tired of not referring to this guy with his name, and it doesn't look like i'll be using it for some time, so I'll just say now: his name is Kenji

Kenji's eyes drift over to the Sound ninja standing nearby, curiously observerving the man's every movement, from the slightest twitch to a more obvious shifting of weight. Kenji's superb eyes took in everything, and he placed each bit of information into an archive in his mind. Though he knows he may have more entertaining perposes for the large village later, at the moment he was in a simple observation mode, catologing even the finest detail for use later.

He tosses a warm smile to Meiko, then turns off on a different path. However, he makes a mental note of her direction, and looks nonchalauntly towards the woman's possible destinations.

Once Meiko was sure that she had gotten away from the two men, she quickly went back into the ramen shop. "Phew..." She sighed, relieved. "I hope they don't know sensei... Otherwise I'll be in trouble.." She untied her forhead protector and wiped the sweat from her face, tying it back on after she was finished. For a few minutes she stayed in the small shop until she got tired and walked into the town streets again.

The gates of Konoha were in sight. Sanjuro smiled. He was almost home. He walked along the road, one hand resting on a large katana. He wore a black haori and hakama, and around his his head was a Hidden Leaf forehead protector. He wore sunglasses over his eyes to hide the fact that he was a Hyuuga. No need for anyone to know about it if he were to fight them. He entered Konoha, and he saw a Sound Ninja. He's definetly Sound.. he thought. Don't want to mess with him...yet. He walked toward the ramen shop he knew so well. He closed his eyes, walking the streets he knew well enough to navigate with his eyes closed. He should have had his eyes open, though, because he ended up crashing into a girl, only a Genin at most. His sunglasses were knocked from his face. He turned slightly red as he picked them up.

"Um...sorry..." he said. "I should have watched where I was going." He placed his glasses back over his odd eyes.

Meiko fell back onto her rear when she was run into. Her face turned red as his did as well, looking up to see he was also from this village. "Ah, no, I'm sorry. Um... Are you from around here? I've never seen you before..." She sat back down, holding her bowl of ramen in her hands.

Tetsuo dashed over to where he saw his aquaintence fall. Within a few seconds, he was there. He reached his hand down to help her up. "What the hell are you doing walking around with your eyes closed?!?!??!?!" he glared at the ninja while saying this.

Feeling the strong grip of a foriegn (SP><) ninja made her face turn bright red with embarrassment. "Ah.. um.. Th-thankyou..." She stumbled back onto her feet, wondering how he was able to reach the shop so quickly.

Sanjuro turned to look at the Sound ninja. He is fast... he thought. This is interesting.

"I know these streets pretty well," he said, making sure his sunglasses completely covered his eyes. "I did not hear her on the street as I walked, so I ended up running into her. My apoligies again."

Meiko nodded and smiled. She then noticed something strange about the man's eyes; they had no pupils. "H-hey.. Anoo... Your eyes.." She pointed in the direction of them. "They don't have any pupils... is that normal..?"
