"AUGH! I'M LATE!" he yelled, leaping out of bed and sprinting to his closet, quickly changing, and then cooking the quickest thing he had, which was cup ramenOOC:whee, he bolted it down and sprinted out the door. He ran to the place where they all were meeting, and found that once again, Kaze was later than he. "Argh..." he muttered silently. "Why can't he be here on time...?" |

"It's either part of a plan of some sort, or he's just that absent-minded." It was around that moment that Nenshoukaze strolled in, as if he were precisely on time. He raised his hand and waved half-heartedly at his students as he walks past them and to a table to pick up a mission. OOC: uhh... i'm blanking out, it's late, and I'm supposed to go to bed, so I'll just leave it at that. sorry for the brevity |

On his first belt there were kunai in every slot. On his second belt, needles were in a large abundance. Shruikens were on each of his shoulders. His arms were neatly wrapped leading up past his short sleeved cloak. "Well, hurry up get your job so I can get mine," he said in an impatient tone. |

"It will definately be reassuring to know that we have a hunter-nin accompanying us," he says jovially. He walks up to the table, taking the assigned mission. "Escort? Really?" he says, truly surprised. "Since when did they give escort missions for D-rank?" He examines the mission statement carefully; the D in the box for rank was clearly visible. The person handing out the missions just shrugged. "If it's labled D, it's D," the man says in a bored tone which hinted a lack of caring for his present job. He holds up a clip board, looking at the name. "Will a uh...Mr. Koshi Rikudo please come in?" A slightly tall man wearing glasses walks in through a door, a small pack of art supplies on his back. The man who was handing out missions mutters angrily to himself, his speach mostly incomprehensible -- Mr. Rikudo's name came up every now and then however. "Is this is?" the artist asks. "The famous Koshi Rikudo just gets a bunch of kids for his escort?" "Firstly, Koshi," the mission guy said with a strong hint of disdain. "Nobody except for you likes your art. And secondly, one of those 'kids' happens to be the youngest jounin level ninja in any village yet; the others are his students. Show some respect." Mr. Rikudo is clearly upset by this remark, but keeps his anger in check and doesn't respond. |

Even though I am not on your protector team if they run into trouble, because I are going in the same direction as you and your protectors. We are heading north toward the Hidden Village of Sound. I am ready when everybody else is. Lets go!" |

| Sauder Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 131 | Takumi got down onto his knees and held up his Excel Saga manga. "Please... do you approve?" he said in awe. "I Koshi Rikudo hereby allow you to read this manga!!!!" he said stamping the cover of the manga. Takumi instantly pulled out and air tight box and put the book in. He performed a hand sign, dissapeared and then returned in a few seconds without the box. "Well should we be leaving now?" he asked. |

He did like it, of course, but certainly not to the extent of sealing away an autographed copy in an impervious box.
Nenji sighed, similarly unenthused about escorting the manga auther to wherever his destination laid. He was also less than ecstatic to know that Takumi would be along for the trip. However, he could do nothing other than to do his best to keep the mission moving. He opened his mouth to say something, but his sensei beat him to it. "Yes, lets get a move on," Nenshoukaze says, trying to hold back the eagerness to depart and be done with the mission. Nenji slowly nods his agreement, also doing his best to remain outwardly stolid. |
| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Kaguske moved along with the others, wondering where they would be escorting the Excel Saga manga author to, and why he would need an escort. Surely this can't be a D-rank mission, if it's an escort...weird. he thought to himself. |
| Sauder Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 131 | "Hmm... this is odd. Its harder than any D-rank mission I ever had to do. Then again, I didn't do very many before my class was upgraded. This should be a C or B rank mission. I must leave now. I don't know if your leaving this second, but I am now on a hunt and will be losing too much ground if I stay here any longer," Takumi announced. He then headed for the door.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keiko looked somewhat impatient about standing in one spot for so long. "He's right lets go finish this mission!" she said hoping they would be motivated by her enthusiasm. "COME ON!" she pleaded. |

He'd been on many A-rank missions himself, but of course those had been solo -- he hadn't had to protect three little kids. I guess I can't really call them little, he thinks. They are, after all, not much younger than me. Aoshi shrugs it off and turns towards the exit.
"Right then, we'd better get a move on!" Nenji unfolds his arms, glad to finally be doing something. A soft alarm bell goes off in his head at Takumi's voiced worry. However, a look at his sensei's confident face told him that he needn't worry. If any enemies were stronger than he -- Nenji -- was, then surely Nenshoukaze could take them easily. |
| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Kaguske walked with them, feeling confidence in his Sensei. Nenshoukaze was faster than any of them had ever seen. And then there was Takumi. He reckoned him and his Sensei about equal. When they work together, then they must be unbeatable. Not like they weren't unbeatable by themselves. But what if they lost? What chance did the rest of them stand? Kaguske banished that thought from his mind. His bright green eyes surveyed the landscape. Then, he turned to Koshi and asked,
"Why do you need an escort anyways?" he asked, his natural curiosity taking over. "And where do you live anyhow?" He thought he heard something in the trees, like a squirrel, but ignored it. OOC:i know koshi is npc, but i don't know why he needs an escort, so answer, dan. And i edited my post, i didn't know you would take my statement about takumi that way. |
| Sauder Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 131 | Koshi looked to answer the questions asked by Kaguske, "Well I can't tell you where exactly I live because somebody might appear at my house. Koshi pointed with his head to where Takumi was walking. As for why I need an escort, I am in some serious shit with the wrong people. I wasn't suspecting such young guards."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Takumi looked up and saw many grains of sand blowing in their direction. They were near a beach but not that close. "Cover your eyes!" he shouted back as the amount of sand increased. They were in the dead of a sandstorm. He drew out his kunai and prepared to fight. He sensed an attack coming, but he couldn't see it. Sure enough, an elbow went straight into his side. Blood splurted from Takumi's mouth. He couldn't see at all through the sand. He was getting attacked over and over. He couldn't hold out much longer without help... |

He would be fine with his sunglasses covering his eyes, but nobody else had eye covers at all. He uttered another loud profanity as he clenched his eyes shut, willing his Zenchigan into activation. Now as he looked out, the sand was little more than a haze over his vision, but he could tell this was not true for everyone else.
"Find Koshi and get around him!" he screams, trying to get his voice heard over the roar of the storm. "Sense out his location, and keep your eyes covered!" Nenji does as he his told, moving towards Koshi rikudo and pulling out a kunai. He pulls his forhead protector down over his eyes, then has an idea --the Zenchigan. It should be able to see through this, right? He closes his eyes and focuses, then opens them up again. He felt slightly drained after it, but brushed this feeling aside -- he could now see. "Sensei! I can--" "Stay there and protect Koshi!" Nenshoukaze interrupts. "I know you can see, and we'll need that. I've gotta help Takumi, so you've gotta stay here." Nenji stifles a miffed responce, but stays put. He knew that his Sensei probably knew what he was doing. Nenshoukaze quickly forms a complex string of hand seals, shouting "Kageken no jutsu*!" afterwards. A beam of light, stifled by the sand, appears between his outstretched hands, solidifying into a sheathed katana. He grabs it and quickly unsheaths it, sliding the saya** through the sash at his waist as he flies towards Takumi's attacker. OOC: *note: "Shadow-sword technique": i'm not entirely sure if I got the japanese right, but it should be something like that
**note 2: this one should be the japanese term for sheath. i just didn't want to use "sheath" twice right next to each other :P |
| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Kaguske was blinded. The sand was blowing around him wildly. He closed his eyes tight, pulling down his forehead protector. He backed toward where he thought Koshi was from where he saw him last. He performed several hand seals.
"Fire Wall no jutsu!" he yelled on the last seal. A small wall of fire appeared in front of him, not much taller than he was. The sand flying his way went into it. The wall of fire turned into a wall of glass. If only I could make a bigger wall... he thought. He turned to where he thought Nenji was. "Nenji!" he called. "You can block the sand using fire! Turn it into glass!" OOC:simple science: you heat sand, it turns into glass. |
