Undaunted, reacting strictly on instinct, Nenji used his chakra-charged hand to slap away the fist, then attacking a tenketsu near the wrist of the hand which held his. Nenji glanced back to his friends, wordlessly signalling them to join in, especially Kaguske. Although he couldn't figure out how, he knew the idiot had somehow developed sublime skills with kunai in a very short time -- the boy had been notoriously bad at using kunai before.

Masatake was truly surprised that a little genin had stopped his attack. He swiftly released his grip on Nenji's wrist and lept backwards. Kicking his scythe back into his hands, he pressed a button on it that made the upper half detach, but remain connected to the lower half by a long chain. Masatake swung it around his head with the practiced ease of one who had spent years using it. With hardly a moment's hesitation, he swept it around, swinging at the one on the right, Kaguske.

Kaguske saw the blade coming, and he watched it carefully, until, at the last second, it seemed, leapt over it, landing on the other side. Now it swung toward Nenji.

Nenji watched it as well, seeing its movement quite clearly in his eyes. Though he was tempted to catch it or deflect it, he had an eerie feeling that this enemy jounin would be able to counter it faster than Kaze could pray for salvation.

Masatake kept swinging, hoping to catch one of them in the chain. Then, he registered motion from the corner of his eye. He turned away. Two of the previous attacking Chuunin had come to and suddenly saw their opening. They lunged at Keiko. Both of them came so fast, and in a split second, both their kunai were in her throat. She gurgled, coughed up blood and then fell.

"No!" Masatake yelled, for he had wanted only one death, the one he was told was deserved. It was not for a young one to die. He immediately retracted his scythe and reconnected it. He had been from Konoha once...he did not want any of them dead...He was not paying attention, however, to the kunai and shuriken thrown at him by Kaguske, who only saw the fall of his comrade and not the killers. The weapons thudded into his arm and one leg. Hardly feeling the pain, Masatake felt his spell unraveling. He exploded his dome with a burst of extra chakra, to make sure his opponent was as injured as he, and then vanished.

It all happened quickly, and while he wasn't prepared for the sudden attack, he was prepared for the implosion of his "cell." The instant it began to implode, he summoned the remanants of his kageken about him as a shield. The force of the explosion was too much, however, due to his kageken not having a lot of density. It was enough to keep him in relatively decent condition, however. On the other hand, it was painful. This pain compounded with the emotional pain of the loss of a student. When he turned to the two Chuunin who had done the thing, he was not the same person. One of his eyes was presently an eerie red, with a single slit down the middle, two black dots on either side. It seemed to glow with an evil energy all its own. This was the horror that he'd been trying to surpress, but was now unable to keep back. He felt his veins surge with power and strength, his whole body felt light and nimble. The world about him seemed slow and predictable.

Kaze did his best to keep some part of himself conscious. He knew that in a rage like this blood had to be shed, and it was all he could do to keep that blood from being from his remaining students or Mr. Rikudo. His hands glowed with chakra, much brighter than Nenji's had. The chakra itself almost seemed to have a reddish taint, although that could have been a trick of the light.

His speed was now rediculous; it was inhuman. In almost the blink of an eye, he closed the great distance between himself and the closest chuunin to his team. When the eye could catch up, Kaze's palms were already pressing against the Chuunin's stomach, doing immeasurable internal damage. The poor soul caughed up blood, not having had time to even realize he was dead. Kaze now turned to the other, who took a second to realize that this strange jounin was no longer where he was a moment ago. With fear in his eyes, he turned to face an enraged Kaze, who could not control himself particularly well due to the emergance of his Onigan. Unable to think of what else to do, the chuunin threw a handful of kunai at Kaze, who simply allowed them to hit; he didn't feel it. In the blink of an eye, both of them were gone, presently about fifty feet up in the air. While Kaze was nowhere in sight, the Chuunin was -- in fact, he was too obvious, for he seemed to be floating. In actuality, Kaze had been forced to release the two gates, which added to his already monstrous speed to make him almost invisible. After about twenty seconds, the chuunin fell to the ground with a loud "thud" and a large indent on the ground. Kaze fell similarly, although with a tad more grace. He landed into a kneel, then fell over unconscious. Both eyes were back to normal.

Kaguske barely saw the motion, or the devastating destructing reeked upon two hapless chuunin, who had made this biggest mistake in their short lives. Kaguske sank to his knees. Could it be? He dared to glance again. It was. Keiko was dead. Five kunai were lodged in her throat, and blood stuck to the sand lying now on the ground. The sandstorm was gone, and so was Masatake. His mind was sort of in a jumble. How could it be that on their first mission, one of them would not return alive?

As he stared blankly at the sand, a figure appeared nearby. It ran forward. Whoever it was, they were garbed in a green robe and wore a mask over their face.

"What happened here?" the person, whom Kaguske determined to be a she by the voice, said after taking a quick glance around.

Nenji, who still remained with his Zenchigan activated, moved between this new stranger and Keiko's corpse. He had never particularly cared for the girl, but she was still a comrade, and a fellow Leaf Ninja. He was deeply saddened by her death, as he was by all deaths despite his attitude which would seem to indicate otherwise. He held his kunai at the ready, and trained his eyes and senses upon this masked newcomer. She (Nenji guessed that it was a woman, by the tamber of its voice) seemed benevolent, and yet at the same time Nenji couldn't help but not trust her. One third of their team, Keiko, lay dead not far from him, and his teacher was presently quite unconscious, not very far from death himself. At this point, Nenji even had some trouble trusting Kaguske.

"That depends," the young ninja answered brusquely. "Who are you and what do you want?"

The masked ninja looked, or so it seemed, at Nenji.

"My name is Shirotsu Fujiko." she said. "I am a hunter-nin for the hidden village of sand. We have received word that a very dangerous u-nin, Yakushii Masatake, was in this area." She looked around, noticing the dead chuunin and the dead girl, as well as the fallen jounin.

"But, if I had my guess, he's already been through here." she said, shaking her head. "Damn." She looked again to Nenji, who seemed to have taken charge in his sensei's unconcious state.

"I will help you get your friends to the nearby town. There is a doctor there, he can help your friend over there, the unconcious one." She turned to Koshi Rikudo. "Are you their teacher...?" she asked, somewhat skeptically, because he did not seem to be entirely fit to be a ninja.

"Hah! You kiddin' me, missie?" he asked, snorting. "That poor boy unconcious over there would be their teacher."

"Oh. I shall help you all to the nearby village. We must hurry."

"Alrighty, then!" Koshi said. "My home's in that place, we must be a hurrying on now....but..." He paused, looking at Keiko's body.

"Of course..." Fujiko said. "We take her with us as well."

Though Koshi seemed easy enough to sway, Nenji was not as gullable. Though he tended to hope that this mysteriously lady would help them, especially with their sensei seeming punch-drunk and passed out, not to mention the fact that one-third of their team was dead. Something wasn't right with this. Her timing was impecable; it was too perfect. What's more was that she claimed to be a hunter-nin. While this was not entirely unbelievable, the way she was acting was.

"Excuse me," the young ninja said, getting into a battle-stance as his keen eyes watched Fujiko's every move, "but why would a hunter-nin not be following her prey? You said yourself he just passed through here. Unless he can teleport, he can't be far. Why are you not making chase?"

Shirotsu looked at the little annoyance and rolled her eyes, though Nenji couldn't see it.

"You have a wounded teacher and a dead student." she said. "I have a heart, you know. Besides, it was my job to simply see if he was here. His skills are beyond me alone, and I could not involve you again. We must hurry. There are more Chuunin nearby."

Nenji still found it difficult to trust this strange newcomer. He felt rather rude to be questioning her so, but he figured he had a right; one of his team was lying dead, after all, and on their first real mission, to boot!

"Even if you did find him, would he not be gone already when you got back -- as you have proved just now?" Nenji questioned further. "As for Chuunin, I'm not worried; if you really are a Hunter-nin, you should be able to take care of them no sweat. At any rate, are you really qualified to be a hunter-nin if you can't take down a single missing-nin, one-on-one? Shouldn't they have sent someone a bit stronger if you can't do it and you apparently know it?" Nenji had a bad feeling that he was pushing his luck, but did it anyway.

With a flash, truly angered at being insulted so, Fujiko was next to Nenji with a kunai mere centimeters from his throat.

"Boy, do not insult my skills." she said, hissing through clenched teeth. "I can indeed fight chuunin, but with two genin, an unconscious jounin and a dead student, I have little chance of getting you all past them! If you think a single hunter can take down Masatake, you are truly mistaken. His powers are vast, he was once a Leaf ninja, like you!" She withdrew her weapon and took a few calming breaths.

"We must hurry."

OOC:she's been acting all of this. though she's slightly annoyed at Nenji, shes not really this angry, but she's playing it to perfection

OOC: gonna have kaguske do anything anytime soon, or is he gonna die too? :P

Nenji attempted to remain still and not flinch, but he simply couldn't. However, he did manage to keep from backing away, as was his first instinct. Since Kaguske was presently staying silent and inattentive -- he had always been somewhat of a klutz anyway, though he now seemed to be growing more responsible -- Nenji felt it was his responsibility to keep things going and running while their sensei was out of it. He yearned to trust this seemingly benevolent Hunter-nin, if she was indeed one, his instincts told him not to. If keeping control of the situation while the teacher was unconscious meant employing his developed skills of deceit, he would just have to employ them, as much as he now felt lying was not good.

"A single hunter can't take down this guy, you say?" Nenji asked incredulously. "Sensei could've. He did before, he told us about his fight with this Masatake guy, the one with the sand and the freaky scythe-thing." Nenji couldn't have known he was speaking the truth, and yet he was, ironically. "And sensei isn't even twenty years old yet! If he can and no other hunter-nin can, I wouldn't want to be a hunter-nin cause that'd be embarassing." Nenji once again had a horrible feeling that he was pressing his luck more than he should, but if she didn't kill him before, he had a feeling she wouldn't now.

Fujiko's ear's almost twitched upon hearing Nenji's words. She was about to teach that brat a lesson, but something seemed to suddenly make itself appearant.

"Not...even 20?" she asked, curious now. "Does that mean...this is the famed Nenshoukaze of Hidden Leaf?" Kaguske finally came to action.

"Damn right he is." he said, almost proudly. "And I'm beginning to agree with Nenji, if he can take such a powerful ninja, why can't you?"

"Because he has something I do not." Fujiko responded evenly, her tone suggesting she was at the breaking point. "He has a bloodline limit, which gives him a considerable edge. Now can we MOVE?!"

Though he was beginning to sense that his luck had long since run out, Nenji decided to push one more time, at the very least. He was almost enjoying seeing the frustration in her face, though he hid this well and with good reason.

"No!" the young Genin said defiantly. "Bloodline limits kick ass, to be sure, but there are still great ninjas that don't need them. I point directly to Rock Lee, drunken fist master, and self-proclaimed "overall cool guy." I'm sure Lee-sensei could wipe the floor with Masatake, and he can hardly use jutsus at all!"

OOC: short and... well, okay so it's not so sweet :P but it's there... enjoy
