Jidat twitched as soon as he heard the word "lady." In fact, he not only twitched, but stopped what he was doing entirely, turning around slowly. Fire was in his eyes as he stared holes into Leyna. He breathed heavily, trying to calm himself down as he walked slowly towards her. Nanase looked on with a mixture of interest and apprehension. Though she felt she should do something -- she knew how angry Jidat could get about this -- her curiosity was just too strong of a force. "I...." The short Captain struggled to speak. "I... am NOT... a 'lady.'" With that, he stomped on Gadek's foot, let out a "Hmph!" and stormed off. Nanase giggled. "Why do you say that, Oyasumi-kun?" he spat angrily. It was less that he was actually interested, and more that he wanted something else to set his mind on. |

So, in one of your earlier posts, dan put the thing in about when and only when god-modding is ok: when you have the permission of the character's owner. God-modding doesn't really have much use, unless you are having a back and forth conversation with the other character. Really, you didn't even NEED those two sentences where you used nezei and leyna. that's about it, but please, please, PLEASE, do not use other people's chara's without given permission from them, and if you get it, put it OOCly (the double parenthesis) so we don't yell at you for godmodding if you're not. sw33t.
Nezei turned his head toward his lieutenant. He observed the exuberant shinigami for a few moments. Then nodded his consent. "Very well," he said, looking to Leyna. "Though I doubt she could learn kidou yet anyway." Following Nanase's comment, Nezei shook his head. "No, he's right. I sensed them watching us a short time back, but there was no time to deal with it. However, they will not be a problem. I doubt they even believed what they saw." With that, he turned and walked toward Jidat, and when he got to him, spoke softly so that only he could hear. "She isn't the only reason we're here, you know." OOC:ps: amelia, is your sword in it's unreleased state? cause i thought basic form was katana for yours...?? |

He leaned in closer to gadek and whispered so only she could hear, "You know, I'm probably the best person to teach you because i had to learn all this stuff on my own." Then he glanced a little to his right. "Oh my..." he said squinting his eyes, Captain Jidat really does look like a chick. And not a pretty one at that either." Aside from his slight ADD comment, Yamato Nara stood back up, "Alright now! lets get something to eat!" |

He wasn't quite sure how to reply to the other captain's whispers, so instead simply nodded his hands, folding his arms. He had a feeling that this particular mission would turn out to be full of annoyances.
Nanase, however, did have something to say. Though she was interested in the suggestion to get food, she wasn't sure if that was the best idea at the time. "Shouldn't we... clean up first? At the very least, shouldn't we get Miss Gadek back into her body?" |

But, after Nanase spoke, she realized that: Oh, yeah, Iguess I can't eat or get cleaned up if I'm not in my body. She looked about for where she had left it. It was draped upon a rock behind a bush and some grass over by the bridge. Gadek walked over to it and stood beside it. "Urm, so now what do I do?" OOC: no0bgami lol |

"Idiot." he said calmly, his tone and facial expression completely unchanged. He turned to Leyna. "Will yourself in." he stated simply, and turned around and started walking away. There was still a matter of other hollow activity...or rather, their sudden destruction. |

Her shinigami clothes dissapeared, and so did her sword. She was back in her usual clothes. Leyna ran over, and got her messenger bag, which was loaded with sketchbooks and textbooks from the art & design school she went to. She ran back to the Shinigami. "Well, I think the hollows are gone for now... But I need to be taught, and I'll probably need help with my duties, won't I?" She shook her head. "Er, let me rephrase that last part to be clearer. I meant: I'm not all that grat right now, so shouldn't you call for a replacement for Takashi while I learn?" OOC:can Evangeline be the replacement PLEEEZ *big watery eyes* |

Jidat was next to Nezei in an instant -- for a second, it almost seemed like he was still in his previous position, as well. He tapped his chin for a moment, then looked up to the other captain. "What do you think?" he asked, though his tone seemed almost purely of rhetoric. Though he seemed to still be asking Nezei's opinion, he began to pull what looked like a cell-phone from inside his Shinigami jacket. "There's probably some combat-hungry Eleventh division who'd be willing to beat up hollows for a while." He punched a few numbers on the phone, then put it to his ear. The device was almost surprisingly non-decript -- it had no dangly attachments, and was a simple gray. "Ah hi, yes. Yes, this is Short -- NO! You little... you can't just go and... I'm a captain, you know!" Jidat paused, apparently realizing that people were nearby. Clearing his throat, he returned to his conversation, "Anyway, if you didn't know already, the current guardian has... err... died. Eh... yeah, Neru-chan will make a full report later, but can you assign someone from Eleventh squad temporarily? No no, an officer. NO! of course I don't mean Scar-san*! Eva...chan?** Sure sure, that's fine. Yes, thank you. WHAT!? HEY YOU-- " Jidat took a deep breath, then closed the phone and put it away. "Should we investigate those witnesses you mentioned?" suggested Nanase, supressing a giggle as she imagined what had been said. OOC: *Scar-san: This is Zaraki Kenpachi; Jidat uses the "-san" suffix to be polite mainly because he thinks Zaraki is pretty scary. Obviously, "Scar" comes from all the battle scars that Zaraki's got
**Eva...chan: The person on the other end of the line said Evangeline's full name, but Jidat being... himself... he shortened it. As a final note, I kinda gave up at the end, but it'll move things along, maybe give Chris a chance to join... and possibly got Mo more involved |

Ummm... I don't know much about how Shinigami show up. Are they all butterflies? *is confused* Well, we'll just say she showed up. How doesn't matter much. Would she already have been briefed? Or would she just get sent down? I'm so clueless XD Evangeline surveyed the scene before her. She recognized a few of the people-- Jidat, of course, was the short one; the guy beside him was Nizei. She knew all that. They were big official dudes, after all... almost everyone knew them on sight. She did not, however, recognize the human girl. "Who's that?" she asked the group in general, not bothering with the usual greetings and such. The girl was looking at the others as though she could see them. Unusual. "She some Mickey Mouse wannabe?" Van grinned and approached the girl, reaching out to pat the 'mouse ears' on either side of her head. "Suits you," she said with a wink. Then she turned back to Jidat. "So." She cocked her head to one side, the grin still on her face. "What can I do for you today? Hollow souffle? Crepes with a Hollow topping? Cooked fresh to order, y'know." OOC:Yeh, 'cause she's lame like that. XD |

"I have a name, it's Leyna Gadek. And I'm a Shinigami, despite appearances... well, somewhat. It's complicated." They can explain better than I can in my limited Japanese, she thought, face still stuck in a frustrated/grumpy frown.

Mr. Yamaguchi ranted over the phone enough to make the spikey blue beanpole cringe before Chieko took the phone and ranted back. In the end, the young reporter negotiated with her boss and was able to scrape up a deal. Toren would go to the cat show alone, take pictures ask a few questions and then Chieko would write up an article using the pictures and quotes she was given.
"No one will notice I wasn't there," Chieko promised. After the call was finished, Toren left his friend's apartment with a growling stomach, but not before he gave Chieko strict instructions to rest and actually eat something. "I'm serious Nee-chan," he said as his spindly fingers tugged a blue spike. "One cannot live on caffine alone." "Watch me," Chieko grinned, but she did promise to eat something and to take it easy until he got back. "Nothing, nada, zip, zero," she sighed sadly as she rooted through the empty fridge, the barren freezer and the hollow cabinets. She steamed up some rice, sprinked some soy sauce on it, poured another cup of coffee, and settled on the couch to watch a chick flick. Her eyes welled up within the first few minutes as she remembered how it ended. "No, she loves you! Don't leave her for that tramp!" she cried desperately to the screen. OOC:Wee... I'm alive! |
