"Nothing good can come from agents...." His voice trailed off ominously as he broke the neck of the man he was holding as a shield, dropping his gun onto his corpse unceremoniously as it fell to the ground. With his left hand he pulled his own cell phone from an inner pocket on the left side of his jacket, causing the cloth to flutter open and reveal a pair of sheathed swords, one slightly curved and one long and straight. With his right hand, he grabbed the straight one, pulling it out and flipping it in the air, catching the hilt so that he held it upright, while flipping open the cellphone one-handed.
"Dial operator," He said into the phone as he walked towards the window on the far side of the room. He walked swiftly, not wasting any time; his movements were precise and calculated as though this were a simple step in solving an equation. He raised the bladed weapon up to the window, and then moved his arm, faster than the human eye could comprehend. The blade became nothing more than a flash of light, his arm a blur of motion. He then stepped back as someone on the other line picked up. "I was just about to tell you that you'd hafta do something crazy like leap out of the window to avoid the agents..." The man on the other side said. His voice contained a naive sense of excitement, though muffled by nervousness and urgency. "We haven't time to waste, just give me an update," Nenshoukaze said blandly, sheathing his sword once again as the window and the four feet of wall on either sides of it split into about eight different pieces and falling off to the ground below. "Yea yea, I've got your update," came the response on the other end of the line. "So here's the scoop: We've got about four agents on every single person this station has in there. Damned if I know how this happened, but thats what we're faced with. Plenty of exits, they haven't cut any, but they know where you are. You and Break better get out of there; the less people we lose the better." "What do you mean, lose?" "Well, with this kind of an assault there's no doubt they've got our location outside the Matrix. We're going to have to EMP the bastards when they get here, then pack up and move." "How much time do we have, and who's the closest after Break?" "Well I'd estimate abou-- wait a sec. Holy shit, Kaze, no you ain't. You're getting out and staying out! No hero--" "That's not the answer to my question. I'm waiting for an answer to my question." "But you--!" "An answer please? We don't have much time!" "Damn you Kaze, damn you! I never understood you, but this is reaching new levels. Yea yea, your question. You have about thirty minutes I'd say before we cant wait any longer. None are out, there are five total, and the closest besides Break is Captain Shadows, on the first floor of your building. As for exits, there's one on the fifth floor, but it's covered with agents. There's one on the building across the way, outside of the window you just trashed, but I doubt even you could --" Before the operator could finish his sentance, Kaze had strode over to Break and put one arm behind her back and lifted her off her feet with the other. "Up for a ride, love?" he asked flatly, though allowing a hint of a smile to creep around the edge of his mouth. |

"I'm up for two kinds, but I'll take this one for now. Let's get out of this hell hole." |

Though it seemed as though he ignored part of what she'd said, he tucked it into the back of his mind. Taking a few steps back from the window, he leaned forward and put on a strong sprint, leaping up and out of the building. He held Break closer to him, whether or not he realized it, as he seemed to fly through the air, bridging the near quarter-mile gap between the window of his building and the roof of the next. He stared straight ahead through the dark sunglasses he wore, all the time watching, preparing himself for the landing.
However, it was not to proceed as smoothly as he'd planned. Thusfar, he'd leapt much further than most could jump, but it was still not enough. The roof of the opposite building loomed overhead, no longer a small line far below the horizon, but now reaching the horizon and overtaking it steadily. There was one hope. His target was in view, but at his current rate of decent, it was impossible for him to make it. However, there was still hope for Break. It would be rough, but it'd be a much softer landing then he would make. "Break," he said urgently, not pausing to look down at her. "I'm going to throw you towards that window. Cover your neck and curl up so you dont get glass shards in you. Don't ask any questions or think anything, just do it. This is your life at stake. There'll be a phone ringing just inside; go to it and pick it up, don't wait for me, there's no time. I want you to get out of this one, so don't hesitate at all, okay?" He didn't have time to wait for a response. He turned in midair and hurled the woman through the window. His aim was true, and she was on as safe a course for the window as could be, but the problem of him remained. Looking down, he estimated that there were about twenty-two floors yet. Even being a freed mind as he was, he wouldn't be able to withstand a fall like that. There was no other way. He unsheathed the curved sword from his waist, revealing a beautiful Japanese katana. He winced as he thought of what was to come, but braced himself, raising the sword to be parallel to the ground. Closer and closer came the wall. That unforgiving mountain of brick. He was carrying with him easily one-hundred and seventy pounds, including his swords -- not to mention the hundred pounds of Break he'd had in his arms previously -- and with his velocity that made him a huge chunk of mass, one that would be very difficult to stop. And yet, this mountain would try. It would try, and it would be relentless. It was not in its nature to give up, unlike the glass. No, it would stand, and it would hold firmer than a frail human body ever could. With all of his incredible momentum, Kaze plowed into the side of the building. The distinct sound of broking bones could be heard as his lump of flesh plowed into the bricks, now mostly cracked from where he'd impacted. His sword, once beautifully polished, was now dusty and scratched. But it was solidly in the wall, and though he may have cracked a rib, Nenshoukaze was not falling that terrible twenty-three stories. With a surpressed groan, the man pulled himself up onto the hilt of his sword, grabbed the hilt from his belt, and shattered the window above him with it. Weakly he climbed onto the sill and pulled himself inside, forcing himself to move and to find the way upstairs to the phone which would be ringing again for him at any moment. |

Keeping his gun out with one hand, he used the other one to reach into his trenchcoat and pull his cell phone out. He opened it with a flick of his wrist and put it up to his ear.
"What is it now?" he asked. It was not his normal operator, but instead the base operator for the station. "We got trouble. I'd say about 30 minutes before the sentinels come. there are five in there, but Break is almost out. Kaze's heading up to the phone, he should be fine for the moment. Find the other two from the station and get them the hell out of there!" he said breathlessly. "And where the hell are they?" he asked. "One's in the other building, about this floor, and I can't find the second at this moment...I'll get back to you on that. Just go to the other building and ge-oh shit! Agents coming down the stairs! Get to the other buidling no-" Shadows closed the phone and exit the stairwell to get onto the floor. He heard footsteps behind him. He ran to the window. He broke the glass and looked out. Aw crap... he thought. The distance to the next building was to far. What the hell, he'd have to try. Taking a few steps back and forced the farthest leap he'd ever done. Unforetuneatly, even that wasn't enough. He almost made it...but didn't. Shadows began to fall the great distance of....four stories. Moron he thought. He landed on his feet and sprinted into the next building, hoping to avoid the agents detection. |

Glass shards fell from her hair and onto the floor, making soft crystal-like sounds. The young woman stood up and brushed the last of the shards off of her body, glancing about her surroundings. She recalled jumping off a building with Kaze, but that was about it. Somewhere in the building there was a soft sound; one such as that of a phone ringing. Suddenly reality slapped Break in the face; Kaze had thrown Break into the window in an attempt to save her. Pulling her gun out of her holster, she dashed towards the stairs and ran down quickly. She heard the loud shattering of a window being broken and slowly krept up upon it. Her gun held up and ready to fire, she slowly came upon a man with bright red hair and a mangled katana.
"Kaze!", she exclaimed, dropping the gun and running over to his side. "Kaze, c'mon. The phone is ringing about four floors above here. Let's get going.." Break was able to help Kaze stand, though he wouldn't let her help much at all. As the two began to walk over to the stairs, there was a loud crash in the stairwell. Break grinned weakly. "I really hope that's Shadows..." she said quietly. |

"What the..." he said as he skid to a halt. He fired several shots. The Agent dodged all the shots and then drew his own gun. Putting his gun away, Shadows drew his collapseable staff and ducked behing the corner of the wall. A shot flew passed his head when he chanced a look out. The agent continuted to fire, chasing after the Captain as he ran back to the stair well. He put away the staff and drew his phone. He called the station operator. "Next time you send me after someone make sure it's one of us and not a goddamn agent, you retard." he said. "Oops..." came the embarrassed reply. "No time for that. Where's the nearest exit?" "20th floor, I think. Break and Kaze are up there now." Shadows hung up and continued to run up the stairwell, the agent following behind. |

"We needn't stay to find out." Injury was all in the mind, in this place, Kaze told himself. If he could convince himself that his bones weren't really broken he would be fine.... Such a task, however, was very likely impossible, even for him. He tried his best, however, and was able to force himself to walk up the stairs, doing his best to refuse the help of the beautiful woman at his side.
OOC: hnnn... don't really feel like finishing that at all :Z maybe it's enough for a short reply? Oh, btw boots, talk to me before you post again... |

A few more floors up the two went, the footsteps drumming loudly in their ears. Suddenly the owner of the footsteps was directly in front of the two, and Break instinctively pulled the trigger as fast as she could. "C-Captain Shadows!" she said, shocked and startled. Luckily for Shadows, the bullet had zipped past his head and into the wall, only cutting off a few small strands of hair. Break sighed, glaring at him angrily. "If only it HAD hit... NEXT time, you may want to call and TELL us that you're coming our way instead of making yourself out to be an agent..." She looked over at Kaze and frowned. "Hey, we need to get out of here; he's in pain. Let's hurry up and get to the phone, now." |

"Yeah, well it might just be there's one BEHIND ME!" he said, drawing his desert eagle again as the agent continued up the stairs. " I don't usually plan on having people shooting at my head as I run up the stairs from an agent, you know. We need to hurry, if that wasn't obvious..." he trailled off as more footsteps were heard coming up the stairs not to far away... OOC:more bad posts!! :D |

"Hurry the fuck up! Do you WANT to get killed?!" |
| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Not at all in the mood for this, Shadows ignored the bullets and continued to go up the stairs, though faster than before. Chancing a look down the stairs, he saw the agent's shadow rounding the corner before the agent actually did. Dropping Kaze's arm, he ducked behind the two and drew his staff.
"Get to the hardline. I'll hold him back for a little while." he said. He turned his head to see if they were still there. "Go! No sense in all three of us getting killed." Turning back to the matter at hand, he watched as the shadow came closer to the ship captain... |

They reached the room, and he let her go first, him following shortly after. However, he remained in the construct program.
"Operator, new swords, several dozen throwing knives, and a couple magnums," he said, having recovered from the damage suffered inside the Matrix by the simple act of leaving it. His operator reluctantly responded, and sent him back in. He was back in the same building, same floor. Unsheathing the katana at his side, he leapt down the stairs to where Captain Shadows stood, moving past him and knocking the Agent off his feet. "Captain, go!" he shouted as he leapt away from the agent. "Don't argue, just move!" He didnt have time to talk, however. The agent was quickly upon him, launching a flurry of punches at him, which he only barely evaded one or two of, a series of cuts and bruises appearing upon his flesh. He slashed upwards at the agent with his sword, but succeeded only in forcing it to move to the side. This was enough, however, as the agent wasn't used to such tactics, weapons, or skill in one who wasn't Neo. Kaze launched three daggers at the agent, which it dodged effortlessly, putting it in just the right position for Kaze to slash horizontally. Though the agent was too fast to be killed from the attack it still recieved a small gash in his arm, which surprised it enough for Kaze to attack again. He got in another injuring slash, but by that time the agent realized what was going on and became more cautious, taking a step back. I sure hope Shadows doesn't take his time... he thought to himself. |

He ran up the stairs to the phone, nearly ringing off the hook. He picked up the phone when he heard a noise at the door. Putting the reciever to his ear, he saw a second agent at the door, who fired at the Captain. Dropping the receiver and leaping out of the way, the bullet did little more than destroy the phone.
"Shit!" he said, drawing his staff and moving in to use it. The agent aimed for a second shot. But Shadows managed just in time to get in close enough. Knocking the gun away, Shadows engaged combat with the second agent. Barely managing to dodge the agent's fists, Shadows continued to dodge and attack the agent as best he could to keep him off Kaze's back. |

His brown hair was only a little past his ears and his forest green eyes glinted in the fake sunlight.
His only noticible weapons were a short sword on his left side and a longer sword on his right. All the rest of his arsenal was in his pockets, this included many small throwing daggers, throwing explosives, and something in a silver capsule. Launch looked around in the fake world of the Matrix and streched his tired body. He knew that his friends were up shit creek if he didnt give them some help now. So he reached into his pocket and counted 45 throwing daggers and put a handfull into his left hand and his phone in his right. "Hey Shadow I'm gonna help you. Don't ask any questions I'll be a distraction. You and whoever else is with you run twoards the phone. It should be ringing soon. Go when you hear a scream, from the agent that is. Good luck!" and with that Launch hung up his phone, not even letting Shodow say a word. Now both hands were full of throwing daggers. Launch walked to the wall where the hallway began, down the hall was the agent. "OK knives in neck=distraction thought Launch" Launch threw at least 20 knives in about five seconds all along the pressure points on the back of a body. The knives flew through the air with incredible speed sticking mainly into the agents back and neck. "Shadow go now!!!" Yelled Launch With that said his position given up and he put the remaing knives away and pulled out his sword to put up a fight. |
