This is actually set before the one we started at boots'. This is sorta alternate universe kinda thing. We're gonna probably ignore the last two movies since i know the 2nd one sucked and i heard the 3rd did too. So basically, it's set after neo is the one, but before any business with this architect and keymaker or whatever nonsense they're talking about. Just good, wholesome, Matrix.
One major modification (actually it's more of an addition) is that there are long-term hacking stations which can have as many as five hackers and as little as 1, but with many attendants and spare hackers that switch off every few weeks. They're fed intravenously through holes in their arms, etc. These places are used primarily for observation, research, etc., and not for any kind of assaults or recruiting (obviously). The signals are rerouted to avoid the detection of the location, so that there wont be assaults on them with sentinals, but that doesnt mean the people can't be found in the matrix; this of course ALSO means that it's not impossible for the real location to be found. This will start off in a particularly large one of those places, with the full 5, and I think i'll prove that they can be incredibly unsafe :) BTW: This will likely start with only boots and myself, although maybe one or two more that want to be on boots' crew; he's the captain of the ship we'll be on |
Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | hmm...dan told me this was pre-kaze, or before his char joined the ship. If i remember correctly, there are 3 PEC's and however many open spaces you prefer. The PEC's were Server (she is the operator), Ice, and Modem. anyways, dan: are we going to start off by recruiting kaze as our newest member? and how will this hacking stations affect roleplay?
and btw: oddly enough, the 3rd matrix was better than i thought...i saw it last night. and another side note: if you want a different character than the 3 listed above, (infact, really only two 'cause Server can't hack in...) post a brief bio. thanks. |

And actually, those aren't the only characters available. We just had those since there was nobody else to make their own characters. Don't pretend that it has to be exactly how it happened last time, because quite frankly it probably wont. As for bios, you dont really need it at all. This isn't ur RP boots, so dont try to run it like it is. Just, if you dont use ur char's name in the post, put it somewhere in the post OOCly, and describe how they look inside the matrix in the first post. Right now, we have room for 3 people who can hack into the matrix, and 5 who cant. This is just for this origins RP. We can open it up for more later if we dont get 3 people presently. 3, because i'm one and boots is a 2nd, and as i said there are only 5 slots. I'll start this up later, but i cant stay long |

Eh... I really don't feel like doing any sort of RP business right now... I'll start this later again :P But if u want, you can start, just start out in the matrix, doing something like typing at a laptop or something like that |

Okay, that's done. So, they never could fix the net in our room, and it's probably because of our using dad's work laptop. Right now i'm in the business center, and the speed is definately up to snuff :)
On the twenty-fifth floor of an abandoned office building, a man of slightly shorter-than-average stature was sitting in a rickety old wooden chair, pulled up to a dust-littered desk, set adjacent to the wall with the window. This man seemed quite serious, his expression portraying no emotion, and his eyes cloaked in darkness by a pair of sunglasses set upon them. His dark black hair was unkempt, and loosely pulled back into some semblance of a pony-tail. Throughout his hair were just barely visible faint streaks of a dark red. Before him on the table was a laptop, upon which he typed rapidly, looking intently at the screen. OOC: well, gota go. just post something like this i guess |

| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | A young girl, probably around the age of sixteen or seventeen, exited a worn-out elevator. She wore a black trenchcoat over a pair of worn black leather pants. Suddenly she coughed, her voice echoing throughout the empty hallway. The girl's amber eyes gazed up to the sign on the wall before her; it read 'Floor 25'. With a nod she pushed her mahogany hair behind her shoulders and steped through the door, shutting it behind her.

His short to midlength black hair looked as though it had been recently gelled. A long black trenchcoat hid most of his frame, with his hands in it's pockets. He walked into the building, his dark combat boots thudding on the floor. He went to the elevator and pushed the button for up.

"Ah, Break," the man at the desk said, not looking up from his computer. "What brings you over here?" he asked flatly, his voice portraying no emotions. He paused, finishing up whatever he was typing, and then turning off the machine. "I've actually finished what I was doing, so if you're not busy would you like to accompany me for dinner? If you're otherwise engaged then I understand, but nobody enjoys eating alone, right?" OOC: after everyone's next post i'll get the story moving |

A Chinese man with a white jacket and sunglasses walked out into the hallway. "I am Seraph, Guardian of the Oracle. I can take you to her, but first, i must apoligize." he said. "For what?" Shadows asked cautiously. "For this." Seraph replied, his foot swinging at Shadow's head. |

He gestured his right hand forward, motioning for the woman to walk ahead of him.
Suddenly, the door to the hallway flew open, slamming abruptly into the frame with enough force to knock it halfway off of its' hinges. Nearly a dozen men in police uniforms flooded the room, pistols raised. In unison, they all shouted a single word, a word which brings cold fear into the hearts of most any who hear it: "Freeze!" A single word, yet with enough force and power behind it to grab anyone's attention. This word was punctuated by the short but to-the-point command, "Put your hands on your heads!" A single police man stepped forward slowly, gun still raised, directly at Nenshoukaze's head. As he walked, he began reading off a list of crimes, related to both computers and human life, as he did so. Nenshoukaze, not appearing flustered in the slightest, had his hands hovering just an inch above the back of his head, seeming docile and harmless. However, once the cop got within two feet of him and moved to grab his handcuffs, Nenshoukaze spring into action, leaping backwards and ducking down, under the officer's arm. Moving with amazing speed, he reached upwards and grabbed the officer's wrist which held the pistol, gripping it tightly and bending it back against the arm, breaking it. Before the pistol even considered touching the ground, he snatched it out of the air, raising it up to aim at a cop across the room, releasing a few rounds into knees of the three officers behind Break as he did so. The fourth bullet nailed his target right between the eyes. His police officer-shield still in the crook of his arm, he leapt forward in front of Break. "Any idea what the hell's going on?" he asked, his voice still calm and steady, as though murdering police officers was an everyday occurance for him. "Better phone your operator, I'll keep you covered," he said, releasing a few shells into the forheads of the other unfortunate officers. OOC: edit: forget to mention, but basically nobody knows what's going on. There'll be agents, if you want your operator to tell you that, but other than that nobody knows why. hope this didnt inconvenience anybody! |

Ducking under the man's foot, Shadows brought his heel around to Seraph's face. He blocked, bringing his fist forward. Blocking that, Shadows whipped out his collapseable staff, planted it in the floor, and used it as a balance for his two foot kick. Seraph dodged under as Shadows flew over him with his kick's momentum. Shadows skidded to a halt and swung a few fists and a kick at his opponent. Seraph blocked the punches and leapt back from the kick. Shadows put away the staff and took a fighting stance. Seraph raised his hand. "Good." he said. "You do not truly know someone until you fight them. Come." Shadows blinked. The only thing you know about me is that i was about to kick your ass... he thought. He followed him to a hallway that had one door. Pulling out a key, Seraph unlocked it and went in. Shadows followed him and found himself in a white hallway with many doors. Seraph led him to one and let him in. It was a old abandoned park. The oracle was sitting on a bench there. She turned around. "It's been awhile since I've seen that face." she said. "But I guess it wasn't you or him, was it? First time i was ever unsure of something." "It did surprise us when we heard about Neo..." Shadows said. "But that isn't why I came." The Oracle shook her head. "Straight to business as always..." She lit up a cigarette. Several minutes later, Seraph led Shadows to another door. The door took him to the bottom floor of another abandoned building. His phone rang. "Yeah?" he asked. It was Server, the ship's operator. "Where the hell did you go?" she asked. "One second, your standing there, in front of some door, then in a park across town and now here! And as a third note, you might want to hurry up the stairs. SWAT are massing for an attack. I think it's Kaze and Break, floor 25." "Great. I was almost gonna have a good day." he said, hanging up. Lousy SWAT teams... He ran up the stairs, his Desert Eagle drawn. OOC:on a side note, i skipped what the oracle said. it happened, i just didn't want to post it. |

She did not speak into the cell phone itself, but spoke into an ear piece on her left ear. As Kaze continued to cover her, she spoke to her operator on the other line. After a short conversation, Break closed her cell phone and slipped it back into her pocket, sighing once more as she pushed her navy blue hair behind her shoulder once more.
"Well, all they know is that there are agents here. Usesless, good for nothing..." she began before an officer made the horrible mistake of shooting her arm. The bullet shot past her left arm, leaving a decent sized cut on her arm. Break winced before glaring at the officer, pulling her gun out with her right hand. While her right was not her proficient hand, the young woman held the gun steady, with no shaking whatsoever. "Fucker." Break muttered angrily before loading a few shells into the officer's neck. "Kaze, let's get out of here. I'm sick of fighting these infidels." |
