"Tell them to block off the Danger Room," she whispered in the Krabinay's ears. "For if they get in there and seal it off, there will be no reaching them." They jumped and hopped away to tell the Infinite where to attack next. They weren't sent to the Cerci, because their limited intelligence made them rather hard to control. Kalfu-Aurelia herself followed after Lulu and Vladimir. She fired the bolt of red lightning-fire off at them for the hell of it, missing on purpose. It hit the wall, and smouldered there for far longer than any normal fire, slowly eating away at it like acid. "Well... Will you fight and meet your death 'valiantly', or will you stand still in fear, and be cut down, Vladimir Liang and Lulu Goulde?" She walked towards them slowly, pondering this. "Or will you run? But there is no possible escape from me, Kalfu, Lord of the Dark Crossroads, Bringer of Chaos and the Master of Evil Spirits..." OOC:Here's what I've come up with for Kalfu, in a short bio.
Name: Kalfu (Carrefour) What's His Job, so to Speak?: High Master of the Dark Crossroads--controls passing of evil spirits, bad luck, destruction, misfortune, and injustice between the spirit world and the material world Opposite Of: Legba, High Master of the Light Crossroads, who has equal powers, but works for order and good, instead of chaos and evil... Powers: Manipulate red lightning/fire, summon demons to material world, can work charms (such as the one seen that turns a leaf into monkey demons) and black magic, can curse people (give them bad luck) |

They had turned several corners and were nearing Vladimir's dorm when Kalfu spoke up, not quite in sight but easily audible. Lulu whirled around and skidded to a stop, her characteristic grin on her face. "Go get whatever it is you need," she said to Vladimir, and paid no more attention to him. Then she strolled back toward the door to the roof, where Kalfu was standing, her posture casual. All right, she thought grimly. I'll fight. (Had anybody suggested this to be a noble gesture, she would have knocked a few teeth out to set things straight.) Brushing a few strands of hair out of her eyes-- which were narrowed mischeviously-- she addressed Kalfu directly. "Escape, my ass," she said loudly, hands on hips in a confident pose. A nearby door came loose from its hinge and flew toward the demon; it smashed the ugly monkey-things as it flew and continued on its way toward Kalfu. "Don't flatter yourself." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Leah was scared. The windows on the first level of the dormitory had been smashed in by the invasion of monkey-demons. Leah, who had not her peers' talents of throwing flames and blasting lightning, was left more or less defenseless against the attackers. Get to the office? Yeah, that was a good plan. Except that she was stuck on the top level of one of the dorm buildings. She had run up the numerous flights of stairs in an effort to escape, panic blinding her to the vulnerable position that running would place her in. Now that she was there, she realized that she had nowhere else to go, unless she fancied the idea of jumping from a top-floor window. A noise caught her attention as she rounded a corner, only to see some sort of red lightning hitting the wall. Someone-- she didn't see who-- ran past her, back toward the lightning-throwing demon. Even up here, it seemed, Leah was not safe. She ducked back behind the corner and out of anyone's sight before she could be noticed. There! She recognized that person; he was the nice one who played the violin. She hesitated for a long moment (he appeared to be busy, perhaps looking for something, and she certainly didn't want to bother him), but soon decided that her safety was worth interrupting whatever he was doing. "Excuse me," she ventured timidly. "Could you-- I mean, would you mind... um... not leaving without me?" She paused. "Please?" OOC:So, ah, he can find his violin and whatever before he hears her. You know, to give it some time between Lulu running off to fight valiently and Leah showing up to ask for help. XD |

Vladimir skidded to a stop and watched as Lulu turned and headed towards their red lightning-throwing attacker. Suddenly remembering that it was not the time to be admiring a woman with courage, he turned and sprinted the rest of the way to his dorm. What the heck is this? I didn't come to America to get killed by some lightning-throwing freak at a friggin' boarding school! he thought bitterly. And no way am I letting that girl save my ass. He didn't even bother with the lock on his door. The building was a mess anyway -- one more kicked-in door wouldn't be noticed. After just a short moment, his electric violin was out and ready, and his best violin was in its case on his back; if he was going to save any one of his possessions, it was that violin. Just in case, he threw a few things in his pockets -- rosin, tuning fork, metronome -- and sped back out into the hallway. He was about to head back towards the roof when he heard a timid voice from behind him. "You?! But... what happened to that thing that was...?" He could still hear it -- it had a distinctly different sound than the other mutants -- so she hadn't killed it, that was for sure. "Weren't you the one who ran off by yourself?" |

Does this happen often, she thought outloud. She had been watching koi lazily swim around in a pond when a couple red, monkey-like creatures interrupted her train of thought. She fell into the water and stood up quite wet, and quite discontent. When they lunged at her, she duck and they splashede into the water, shreiking loudly. She jumped out of the water. Most students were screaming and running inside, while some were fighting back. She remembered the professor had told her to find Aurelia if she needed any assistance. B-11 sniffed the air, picked up her trail and set off to find her.
However, her search was interrupted when a tentacle-like appendage lashed out at her, nearly catching her around the neck. She slipped away and looked at her attacker(abyss). She skipped away as more he tried to ensanre her once more. She smiled, it was kind of fun. She spun and dodged, zipping every which way to avoid getting caught, but then she remembered who she was looking for. She ran away from him only to be confronted by more of these strange warriors. She turned and raced up the wall and into an open window. Aurelia was close, but still not in sight. She jogged through the halls, and turned a corener and there she was, standing in a smoking hole in the wall. "Miss le Fay?" the raccoon girl tilted her head to the side. It was Aurelia's body, but something wasn't quite right. OOC:Bleh... |

Kalfu smirked. "Hmh. You're going to have to try harder than that..." She pushed the door aside just as it was about to knock her over. One of the Krabinay poofed back into a leaf, but the other ran away to go torment more people (aka B-11). She threw her arms behind her back, then pushed them forward in a fluid motion. Lightning-fire crackled up and down, and discharged when her hands faced Lulu. Her hands still smoking, she turned to face B-11. "Not anymore." OOC:also bleh >__> |

Lulu dodged the lightning fairly easily, wincing as it hit the wall behind her. Maybe I'm in a little deep, she thought. Well, I'm in either way. The demon was stronger than her, that much was certain-- but strength could be beaten. All she had to do was avoid being actually destroyed by one of those lightning bolts. Allies would be good, too. And since there was only one other person here who could reasonably be considered an ally, Lulu grabbed B-11 by the wrist and ran, half-pulling, half-dragging the poor raccoon girl after her. "Come on," she yelled, tearing a large chunk of the wall free and using it as a sheild against further attacks. "Are you trying to get killed?" In a flash, she had passed Kalfu and was back on the roof, still dragging B-11. Not letting go of the girl, she sprinted toward the edge of the building and took a flying leap from the top. They sped toward the ground for only a moment before the loose chunk of wall came flying in, giving them something to stand on. It landed neatly on the ground below, placing the two in a more open area. Much better than being cornered, and those monkey-demons everywhere were really little more than a small nuisance. "Catch me if you can, you freak!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ran off? Was he talking about earlier? When she'd gone off to the bathroom alone? Leah blinked. "Um," she said. "Sure. Yeah." He must be as panicked as I am if he's still thinking about that. And what 'thing' was he talking about? She tuggged on his sleeve, trying to pull him away from the roof. She hadn't liked the look of that red lightning stuff. "Can we go? Please? I really really don't think it's a good idea to stay here. There's this lightning, you see, and these monkeys, and I really think we should leave now." OOC:Meh... |

B-11 easily ran beside the girl, the fact that the school was under attack and Aurelia was no longer in control of her body, did not seem to perturb her in the least. She landed lightly next to the girl and stood up. "Professor Xavier told me to stay with Aurelia. I do not understand what is going on." (blech) |

"Well, I'm telling you to stick with me." Lulu slowed to a stop, right in the middle of the cleared-out lunch area. "Aurelia's not exactly a responsible babysitter right now." She watched Kalfu-Aurelia, waiting to see whether she would follow them. Or she might just shoot us from up there. Of course, she was so far away that they'd have plenty of reaction time. "Just try not to get hurt. I'm not carryin' you anywhere." |

There were only ever 2 to begin with. xD
the things running around are Infinites, which kind of look like green-blue versions of the HAZMAT suits from Monsters Inc. And Cerci, which are giant spiders >__> Anyways. Its duty carried out, the last Krabinay turned back into its true form, a leaf. The Infinates went to block the Danger Room and the office from all that would enter. They were only of mediocre strength alone, but what made up for it was their numbers. They kept coming, and coming, and coming through the portal, seemingly without end... --- Kalfu-Aurelia picked up two leaves from the roof, and summoned fresh Krabinay. They each grabbed an arm, and jumped off of the roof with her. The hard landing made them turn back to leaves, but Aurelia herself was unharmed because they took the shock of the impact for her. Kalfu-Aurelia whistled long and high, and Abyss came sproinging over. "Yes...?" The spring-limbed, bright blue, hole-for-a-stomach, hardly-a-man said. "These two seem to keep... escaping. See that they don't. "Right, milady... or lord. Whatever you are today," Abyss said with a crazy smile. "All right." Kalfu-Aurelia smiled. "Well then..." She fired a bolt at a tree, also for the hell of it, then at the two in front of her. OOC:In case you were wondering...
From Wikipedia: Abyss is a mutant who can unwind his body into highly tensile strands that can be stretched or used to ensnare a victim. While holding them he can absorb anything within the shadowy confines of his form, akin to what the superhero known as Cloak does. His body is actually a portal to the same dimension that Nightcrawler temporarily enters when he teleports, later dubbed the Brimstone Dimension from the side-effect of Nightcrawler's powers. He is able to drain the strength of the captives he holds in his form and can deposit them in this dimension permanently, but it is unknown if anything can survive there. He has limited telepathy. ME: If I make him suck you in, don't worry. There'll be bombs in there to get you out or something, like in the game >__> ...Yes, he really does have random bombs in himself in the game... Or, I'll have Aurelia turn good again and get you out. Or something. |

His surprise ebbed, however, as he recalled his decision that she had some sort of split-personality complex. Still, he couldn't help but wonder at the change in hairstyle.
He wasn't exactly interested in being any sort of hero anyway, so her suggestion that they find someplace to go was just fine by him. He couldn't help feeling like a babysitter, though, the way she had suddenly started tugging on his sleeve when she wanted something. It was almost like something out of a weird television drama -- a leader in the Russo-Chinese mafia suddenly thrust into the roll of a babysitter. As long as I don't have to change her diapers or anything, Vladimir mused. "Alright, let's see if we can get to the Danger Room," he suggested, heading towards the stairs and wondering if he should be holding the girl's hand. "If you can watch our backs, I should be able to keep things clear up ahead." He put his violin to his shoulder and tightened the bow, creating the psychic link between himself and the instrument. He had a feeling that things wouldn't be easy, especially when they got to a lower level, so he started playing a concerto to fill the room with sound waves, just in case. |

"Um... sure," said Leah, hovering near Vladimir at a very close proximity-- she felt extremely unsafe alone, perhaps because her powers of clairvoyance were useless in any sort of physical conflict. She could warn him if there was something weird headed her way, sure, but that was about all she could do. When the classical music began, however, she visibly relaxed and allowed some breathing room between herself and her newfound protector. The waves of visions that had been threatening to spill over into her conscious mind subsided a little, and it was easier to hold them at bay. "You can fight with that thing?" she asked, not so much in disbelief as in concern. "I mean, you know, aside from hitting stuff with it?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lulu dodged again, pulling B-11 with her, and threw a loose tree branch at Kalfu. Not enough to hurt her, of course, not after the way she'd tossed that door aside, but enough to toy with her. As long as her focus was on fending off flying objects, her lightning wouldn't be as accurate or as frequent. At least, that's what Lulu hoped. |

She suddenly remembered something. She clapped her smoking hands, then said to Abyss, "You take care of those two. I'm going to go visit the Danger Room."
She turned and walked away, confident that Abyss could handle things. She whistled again, this time a series of short whistles. The mirror portal on the lawn closed. The Infinites looked rather confused. "I think there are enough of you to do the job," Kalfu-Aurelia said. "Waste not..." They nodded, and went back to breaking stuff. As she walked along, her bare feet padded along the tiles. There was no other sound. Until... The faint sound of a concerto floated down the hallway from ahead. "Liang," Kalfu-Aurelia muttered. "This might not be as easy as I thought." OOC:Because if the 2 most powerful enemies atm were together, that wouldn't be fun... xD |

"Hitting stuff with it? Oh lord, no! I'd die before damaging one of my violins," he explained, trying not to sound too offended by the idea. "No, my ability is manipulating sound to do various useful things. If you suddenly find yourself in trouble, just look straight at your opponent and scream. If I can, I'll handle the rest."
The two reached the stairs and found themselves face-to-face with almost half a dozen Cerci. Narrowing his eyes, Vladimir increased the pressure on his bow. The sound reverberated about the room with twice the previous intensity. Suddenly, as though an invisible wave had swept through the room, the spider-like creatures were smashed flat against the far wall. Their organs and fluids slid down the wall, creating the appearance of some strange, contemporary mural on the once clean, white walls. OOC: I assume they go squish like that... ^^; |

For a moment, she thought she might be sick... and then she realized that this nausea had nothing to do with the disgusting image before her eyes.
It was more to do with the equally unnerving image behind her eyes. "Vladimir?" she said, grabbing his sleeve again in a panicked attempt to get his attention. "You know the lightning-thing? The one that was up on the roof earlier?" She paused. When she spoke again, her voice was shaking. "It's really close. Or if it isn't, it will be. Really, really soon." OOC:EDIT: Fixed the name-thing...

However, she soon left and was replaced by the strange blue man who she identified to be the same one who had attakced her earilier.
"I reccommend that we do not let him catch us, madam," B-11 said, snatchting LuLu out of the way of a tentacle. Despite her size, the raccoon girl was quite strong. She raced backwards, dodging attacks with Lulu in tow this time. |
