"It's the first day of the new term," Aurelia stated unremarkably. She sat down on a bench outside the mutant academy, drinking a juicebox and enjoying the sunlight. You know I hate grape, Leila complained. "We'll I'm the dominant soul, so tough luck," said Aurelia, streaching out on the bench and looking up into the branches of the weeping willow above. Poo, moaned Leila, fading into nothingness to go wherever in Aurelia's brain she usually hung out in. Aurelia watched the other students come into the academy to check in for the new term. "I wish I could leave the academy and visit my family, too," she whispered. "Except they're too worried that I'd maul them." |

It wasn't really anything drastically different from the rest of his life, except that slightly more work was involved. Vladimir had always been interested in knowledge, but ever since he discovered the horrors of mathematics, he hadn't been so keen on actually learning. He had a tendancy to skip those particular classes, then show up at the last second to avoid being marked absent. After all, he tended to avoid trouble if possible. Oftentimes he was even able to avoid being marked tardy, but he rarely counted on that.
This particular day found Vladimir wedged in one of his favorite parts of Xavier's academy, a place he accidentally discovered on his second day there. It was a tiny little alcove in a back corner of the library, above a bookshelf. It was recessed slightly into the wall and with the particular lighting in the room was only barely noticable. However, it had two spots on either side of it that were almost invisible from the outside, and kept out ambient noise fairly well. This was his "composition spot," as he called it. Though cramped, he smuggled a pillow in there to lean against, and a small portable lamp to write by, and was fairly comfortable. Vladimir could only guess at the alcove's original purpose -- perhaps storage of various informational texts that found their way to other obscure places in the library -- but didn't particularly care. The solitude and peace it provided leant a calm atmosphere which, he felt, gave him inspiration to write better music. Vladimir paused for a moment, and put his ear to the wall. He amplified the vague vibrations from the wall in his head with his "gift," and listened. Footsteps. Lots of them. Talking, in excessive amounts. Looks like people are arriving from their vacations or whatever, he thought to himself. He thought momentarily of home, but whiped the image from his mind. Best not to think about it. He would probably see them soon enough, anyway. |

He took them off, checked his watch, sighed and turned back to the open door.
<Come, B-11,> Rheinhardt said in German, and he held the door open for a short girl donned in dark glasses, a large trench coat, and a hat with a large brim (think Alucard except tan and not red) to get out of the car. She looked around the school yard, taking in her surroundings, but when the man closed the door and began to walk across the yard, B-11 followed without a word. He looked around once more as if he was looking for anyone suspicious. <Stay with me.> “Pardon me, Miss,” the man said politely in perfect English to an African American girl sitting on a bench while drinking a grape juice box. “But I am looking for Professor Xavier. Would you be kind enough to show us to his office? He’s expecting us, and I am afraid we are running a bit late.” |

She then pitched the empty juicebox into a trash can about 10 feet behind her with perfect aim. After she threw her trash away, she stood up, and addressed the company before her.
"Sure," she said, retrieving her tan leather bag from beside the bench. "If you'll just follow me..." Aurelia walked to the main doors and held them open, waiting for the odd couple she was guiding. You sense evil? Aurelia thought to Leila. No, Leila thought, But... something is different about this new girl. I hope it's just the fact that she's wearin' all those clothes when it's this warm out, Aurelia thought with a chuckle. Well, it's just... Leila thought, and Aurelia could sense her frustration. She was feeling something emanating from this girl that she simply could not describe. As long as it's nothing harmful, Aurelia thought, pursing her lips. It is, and it isn't... She's... aargh. Leila faded off into the recesses of Aurelia's mind once more. Aurelia rolled her eyes at her freind's predicament. "That Leila," she said, sighing. "I'm sure we'll find out soon enough." |

He motioned for B-11 to follow him, and he walked to the doors of the school, and placed his hand on the door.
"By all means," he said with a nod, and a small geusture. "Ladies first." B-11 had already found something to occupy her mind: a fuzzy, black and yellow striped insect. At first glance it defied all theoretical aerodynamic reasoning that such a large insect could maintain flight with its wing loading. However, she was soon noticed how the wings were oscillating wings like helicopter rotors rather than wings of an aeroplane. She studied it carefully as it went about from flower to flower. B-11 knew it would have been easier to observe her find if she went closer, but Doktor had told her to stay with him. |

He was experiencing a sort of mental block, and had written just a single page to add to his score. Though frustrated, he had experienced these blocks before and just needed to relax. He stepped onto the top of the shelf gingerly, then grabbed his coat which he'd folded up neatly before entering and hopped off. As he walked, he threw his jacket on with one hand, holding the score in his off-hand and switching to get the other sleeve. He straightened his cuffs and ran a hand through his hair just as he reached a spiral staircase that led up to the dorms.
When he was back inside his room, he unlocked a briefcase on his dresser and set the unfinished score inside on top of a mess of other musical scores, covered in messy blocks of black ink. He shuffled through these briefly, inventorying his works, before closing and locking the case again. Satisfied, he left his room, locking the door with a snap of his fingers, and walked down the main stairway to see who all was there. |

She looked up into the camera by the doors and announced her guests. "Hey, Professor X, this's Aurelia. You've got company."
The doors slid open and she could hear the Professor coming over to the doorway. She saluted the Doktor and B-11, and then turned to leave, knowing that they would probably want their privacy. "You need anything, you call for Aurelia le Fay," Aurelia said, pointing to herself. She patted the small one on the head, and went on her way as planned. Aurelia heard the hubbub of all the other students in the main lobby. "Ah, chaos," she said, smirking. Hey, is it my turn yet? Leila thought. "Sure, Leila. I am kinda tired." Aurelia yawned, and then her soul faded into the background. Aurelia's eyes lit up a brilliant sky blue, as they always did when Leila took control. Leila-Aurelia walked down the remainder of the hallway and into the academy's main room. "Gosh, so many," she said, looking at all the people milling about. She spotted someone she recognised from last year, and walked over to greet him. "Oh hey, Vladimir. Long time no see. Whatcha been up to?" Aurelia thought angrily, Ask about saxophone music, or I'll make you eat more of Az's favorite liver pate. "For Pete's sake," Leila mumbled. "Aurelia wants me to ask you if you've written anything for saxophone lately," she said, revising her earlier question.[/i] |

He had to go to his classes soon, but he sincerely would have rather just stayed in his room and finished writing his program to remotely control any computer in the school. He smiled. Yes, that would provide some entertainment later on. He had just made it to the top of the stairs and was about to walk down when he noticed someone standing there, someone he hadn't really recognized before. He'd briefly seen him but this was the first time he'd actually seen him. He knew that face, but not from any time they had ever met. It resembled the face of the heir to the Chinese-Russian crime syndicate, Victor Liang. It was his little brother...what was his name? Oh yes, Vladmir.
"Son of a bitch..." he muttered under his breath. He considered reaching for his pistol and shooting the second son then and there, but then realized not only where he was but also that if he was here, he had powers too. He walked past the strange composer a moment later and muttered very quietly as he walked by. "Osu..." he said. "Mada shiranai kedo, omae o korosu." OOC:"yo. you don't know it yet, but i'm going to kill you. |

He raised an eyebrow at the pat on the head his guide had given his experiment as she passed, and paused a moment to see B-11’s reaction. The girl merely cocked her head slightly and turned her head to see their guide walking away.
“Rheinhardt,” greeted Charles Xavier. “It’s been a long time. Come in! Come in and site down.” “It certainly has been a long time,” mused the German as he took his seat. “Sorry for showing up like this all of a sudden.” “You have the look of a haunted man, my friend,” said the professor with a concern frown. “Or a hunted one…” His guest said nothing, and averted his eyes slightly. “Who is this you brought with you?” he inquired. “Your daughter?” “No, my life’s work,” Steinweg smiled slightly. “B-11, remove your coat and hat.” The girl did as she was told, revealing her fuzzy, grey ears peaking out of her bright colored hair, her black, the mask-like marking around large green eyes, and long, bushy ringed tail. “Hello,” B-11 said with a polite bow. “It is an honor to make your acquaintance.” “I’m in a bit of trouble, and I’ll be moving quite a bit…” started the German. “Could you do me a great favor?” “Of course. What’s wrong?” “I’d rather not say… the less you know, the safer you’ll be and I don’t have much time,” the German glanced at his watch. “But I need to lie low for a while, and Raccoon-girls may attract more attention than I need.” “She may stay here,” Xavier nodded. “She’ll be kept safe.” “Thank you,” the scientist smiled. “She’s brilliant, and a fast learner… but there are… complications.” Xavier gave him a curious glance. “I’ll send you more information later, but she can’t understand questions, nor can she read or write.” “Then how can you say she’s-?” “B-11, a man pulls a 50 kg box at constant speed across the floor,” Steinweg said quickly. “He applies a 200 N force at an angle of 30 degrees. Find the value of the frictional force oppsing the motion. Find the value of the normal force. Also, if the frictional force were suddenly reduced to zero, tell what would happen to the box. Solve.” “174.6; 500, and it would accelerate,” B-11 replied instantly. Xavier paused a moment to solve the problem for himself, and looked up. “That’s correct,” he said softly. “How old are you, child? 12?” B-11 looked blankly at him. “She’s 16,” Steinweg answered for her. “She didn’t understand you Professor, I’m sorry. I would like to explain everything, but I can’t; there just not enough time.” “I understand,” Xavier nodded, as his friend stood up. “But I would like an explanation as soon as possible.” “Of course,” Steinweg turned to the raccoon girl. “Aufenthalt hier und hören Sie auf den Professor. Ich werde für eine Weile gegangen, aber ich halte in der Note.” “Jawohl, Doktor,” B-11 said brightly. Doktor looked down at the girl for a moment, and then said farewell to the Professor before leaving the room. He walked brisly out the school, nodding to the girl, who had been kind enough to show them in, as he passed and got into the limo and sped off. B-11 waited silently, and Xavier and she stared at each other for a brief moment. Finally, the old man sighed, and shook his head and gave her a note. “You may go, and give this to Aurelia LeFay.” Suddenly she disappeared… as if she had never been there, except for the coat and hat she had left behind. B-11 appeared at the gates just in time to see the limo turn the corner a breeze followed the path she had taken to the gates. Her ears drooped slightly as a bit of discontentment settled in her mind, and she walked around. She didn’t understand this place, which added to her discontentment, but she soon saw the girl who had touched her head briefly. Aurelia LeFay, she identified, and walked over to look up at her. “Pardon me Miss Aurelia,” she said with a polite bow. “But this is for you.” She heard and understood what the boy said as he passed, but shrugged it off since he did not address her. OOC:The note basically asks her keep an eye on the new girl, and that her friends can help. Don’t ask her questions, she won’t understand you, pleasekthanks. "Will do," Leila whispered. Then the Doktor passed by them, giving a hurried nod in her direction. "Bye...?" Leila said, arm halfway up. He's already gone, Aurelia thought with amusement at her friend's poor timing. "Oh, put a lid on it, Aurelia," Leila muttered. Suddenly, B-11 came up with a note. "Oooh, you're so cute!" Leila said, squeeing with joy at the raccoon-girl's utter cuteness. "And so polite! Thank you, dear!" Part of me just died with that, Aurelia thought. She is pretty cute, but jeezus... She took the note and read it. "Take care of you, huh," she said, blue eyes sparkling. "I'll be sure to do that. You come to me if you need anything." She dug a map out of her ever-present tan leather bag, and gave it to B-11. "You'll need this, little blue one. This'll help you with where everything is." Leila took a pen out of her bag and circled her room. "And if you ever need me, this is my room," she explained. She hugged the girl tightly. "You'll do just fine, this is a great place. You learn lots of cool stuff." "You meet friends who are mutants like you! Like me! I am an... anomaly, and really hard to explain. Here's the data file on me and Aurelia, I know it's long, but it's probably faster to read it than to have me explain." Leila handed her a packet about ten pages long that explained everything. "So getting to know others is fun, and so are most of the classes. But you still have to go to stuff you don't like. I hate Speech & Debate because you have to speak in front of everyone, but I still have to go... Oh, speaking of which, I have to make that speech on world hunger in class today, don't I?" "Next period, in fact. BARF, much?" Aurelia said, voice easily distinguishable from her friend's. Her voice was slightly deeper, and had a light Carribbean accent, as opposed to her friend's New England accent. "Grarg," Leilia said, digging out her speech to look at it and do some last minute memorization. But... "Aurelia, your grammar is atrocious. You used the wrong 'which' three times in a row. And I don't think you're supposed to curse in your speech." She sighed, and set to memorizing it anyways. |

She stiffened slightly as the tall girl wrapped her arms around her and squeezed. The raccoon girl looked up at her with her large green eyes and blinked dazedly when she was released from her grasp. Aurelia rambled on as she began digging through her bag and shoving maps and papers into her arms. The experiment knew she was speaking English, and recognized many of the words, but she made sense of very little.
B-11 looked at the map, and then looked at the ten page paper she was given, and blinked. There were rows and rows of neat, little, black markings on the paper, but it didn’t mean a thing to her. They must mean something, otherwise Aurelia wouldn’t have given them to me, she reasoned, flipping through the paper. She then remembered what Doktor told her about what she should do when given something… “Thank you very much,” B-11 said with a smile. |

But then she saw the confused expression on her face. "She's like a newborn child," Aurelia remarked, realizing B-11's predicament. "It's like she was isolated, and is just now learning all this!"
"Maybe you'd better take over," Leila said to her soul-sibling, rather confused. She had never been as perceptive as Aurelia was. "I'm getting rather burnt out from all this sudden activity." She then faded away to observe, and with it, faded the blue from Aurelia's eyes. They were back to their normal beetle-black. "Way to strand me, you know I'm not good with kids," Aurelia muttered, shaking her head. You can do it, Leila said. "Hmm. How do I explain this? Dammit, Leila." Aurelia gnawed on her lower lip. "Well," she said, pausing to hug B-11 in demonstration. "This is an expression of love. Love is a warm, fuzzy, happy feeling when you care about another person, and would do anything for them." She patted B-11 on the head like she had before. "This is an expression of caring, too." Aurelia looked at B-11 and cocked her head. She had flipped through the papers way too fast to have actually read them. "Well, we can't have you trying to learn without first knowing how to read and write. If you follow me to the library, I'll teach you how to do both the best I can." Aurelia, despite her tough exterior, loved books. And she figured that what B-11 didn't know, and she couldn't teach her, she could learn from books. OOC:All together now: AWWWWWWWWWWWWW

"We should get out of here while we still can, it's getting really crowded." Which was true; she had to grab onto little B-11's hand and lead her just to keep them together through the thick crowd of mutant students. Aurelia pulled B-11 along like this until they got to the library, where there were few people. She then let go of her hand. "Sorry for grabbing, I was afraid I'd lose you back there."
Aurelia opened the doors of the library, and ushered B-11 to a table. She sat down, and placed her bag on the table. "As promised..." she said, calling up Leila again. Her eyes and voice changed, as usual. "Hey, it's you again, Blue! ...Aurelia tells me to explain this to you." She paused. "Well, to begin with, Aurelia only had the power to summon Iwa, or streams of souls united in a single purpose. That's why they call her Mambo, because she can do voodoo and all that." She paused again, to scratch her ear. It was something Leila did a lot while she was talking. "One day, she has an accident and summons something way more powerful than she can handle, and as a result, kills me, Leila. Now, for some unexplicable reason, my soul is sharing her body with her soul." She yawned. "Time for my nap, petit bleu. It's hard work doing all this talking with someone else's vocal chords." She allowed herself to be dragged to the library without a fuss, and simply smiled when Aurelia apologized. She took her seat and looked around wide-eyed at all the shelves around her.
B-11 watched her mentor’s eyes change again, and listened to her explanation. She nodded, “Scientifically, it shouldn’t be possible, but your explanation has undeniable proof, so I will accept it. However, according to what I have learned, you should be diagnosed with schizophrenia or multiple personalities. However, your change is much more dramatic…” She turned around in her seat and looked around. There were so many people bent over paper and… well, she wasn’t sure what they were… |
