"That's you?" she asked, completely incredulous. "I thought--" it was someone a little less roguish, she almost finished, but caught herself in time. "I mean..." She paused. "That's you?"
She did, in fact, hear that music at night, but it was far from the bothersome thing he made it out to be. "I don't mean... Uh, sorry." She took a deep breath and started over. "I really like your music. I just... I mean, I didn't know it was you." She smiled shyly. "But it's really pretty. How long have you played?" OOC:Lalalaa... Lulu, I'm sure, is currently off levitating people's sandwiches and flinging their juice boxes at them.

For the sake of Aurelia, let's say that she has some control over herself when possessed, but it's spotty at best P: Suddenly something occurred to Aurelia: maybe she was just freaking out. Maybe this was a figment of her imagination, and she should have taken those pills her doctor prescribed her two years ago. "I'm out of my mind," she muttered, laughing shakily. It's a distinct possibility that Weapon X messed something up when they were in your brain, Leila thought, coming alert. If she could have shrugged, she would have. But since she couldn't, this sort of carried into the tone of her voice. Tears started at Aurelia's eyes. I don't know what's real and what's not, Leila. I don't know what to trust, what to do... I'm just so confused... She wiped her eyes, and her face again. Aurelia turned to B-11 and said, (managing to mask most of her feelings while saying so) "I'll be all right, thanks for asking. I just need to be alone for a little while. There are people on the other side of the tree who will take care of you, they're nice." She only half-believed herself about the 'I'll be alright' thing. Aurelia picked up her bag and walked to the fence of the mansion, easily bending two bars apart so that she could slip out. She walked about a quarter-mile out into this dense forest, and came to a stop at a clearing. Aurelia lay beside a half-rotted log in the soft grass, and looked at the clouds swirling above. It soothed her. She watched with interest as leaves swirled down from the tops of the trees, and landed on and around her. They tickled and itched, so she began to pick them off. Just as she flipped one off her, a symbol came active in the center. A veve. Kalfu's. Aurelia tried harder to get the leaves off, but by now, it was too late--they were stuck. She stood up and looked around, and to her horror saw that she was in the middle of a giant summoning circle that took up the entire clearing. An eerie wind swooped through, raising her hair off her head. She had to fight it, and against the magic leaves plastered to her body, with all her strength so that she could get one finger to a patch where the grass had gone bare. She had a hunch as to what Kalfu was up to, she hoped she was right. Or noone would ever find her. She managed to scratch APOCALPYS into the dirt, but before she could get to the E, she was no longer herself. OOC:Tryin' to move stuff along and shat. >>;

Vladimir looked at the girl out of the corner of his eye, then finished off his pork bun. He chewed on it thoughtfully as before, appearing to think seriously about his response. He actually hadn't expected that anyone could hear his violin from up on the roof. [i]I guess I still don't quite have enough control over my emotions[i], he thought unhappily. Despite his disappointment with himself, however, he remained calm externally. "You like it, huh?" he repeated curiously. "I'm glad you do, but it's really nothing so special." Here, Vladimir paused again, rummaging through his lunch bag intently. "Nothing I would want to perform for anybody, I mean," he added, having found something interesting, apparently. Sitting back up, he revealed a palm-sized pastry, with a yellow filling and a fluffy crust. He grinned happily before saying, "I've been playing since as long as I remember. Seems like I was born with a violin on my shoulder." He chuckled a little here, breaking the pastry in half and munching on one part. "Of course, I can't say the same for solving equations or anything like that. Want some?" He offered her the other half of the sweet-smelling pastry almost absent-mindedly. OOC: PS: I forget what those pastry thingies are called exactly, but I usually call them egg tarts, or something to that effect, and they're AMAZING. *loves chinese food* XD; |

A finger, desperately scratching a word into the dirt[/color:30d408f9bc] Leah froze as the wave of fear washed over her. No, not now”” She struggled to remain calm, knowing full well that giving in to the fear would only make it worse. A[/color:30d408f9bc] She closed her eyes, and her hand dropped from its place near the pastry. P[/color:30d408f9bc] In her mind’s eye, she could see a girl she didn’t know. She looked familiar, but Leah couldn’t place a name with the face””it was probably just another student she’d seen but never spoken to. O Leaves were swirling everywhere. Fear, desperation, confusion...[/color:30d408f9bc] It was all so vivid, so intense. APOCALYPS[/color:30d408f9bc] Leah stood up suddenly, fighting back the nausea that threatened to overpower her. Apocalyps? That didn’t sound promising. “I’ll… Sorry. I’ll, uh… be back. Later. I mean, soon.” She paused. “I mean””” She gave up on trying to explain just what she meant and dashed off to the nearest restroom, which happened to be inside the library building. She was going to be sick, she knew it… But even now the nausea was subsiding, as was the intensity of the vision. Leaning heavily on one of the sinks in the center of the restroom, Leah took a few deep breaths and got herself under control. She glanced up at the mirror above the line of sinks””They must’ve fixed it. Last year some kid broke it and there was just a big empty space there for the rest of the term.””and brushed her bangs out of her eyes. Deciding that maybe she needed to use the restroom after all, she turned around and walked into one of the stalls. ~~~~~~~~~~ Lulu glanced back up at the mirror. Where did my reflection go? Just a minute ago she could have sworn that she’d seen herself in that mirror. She poked a finger through the space where the mirror should be. Nothing. Odd… She walked around the “mirror,” which was positioned in the center of the restroom, between two lines of sinks set up to face each other. Nothing here… She looked at the place where the mirror should be again. Ah, well””must’ve imagined it, then. Running one hand through her already-messy hair, Lulu left the restroom and walked into the clearing with the willow tree. She would have walked right past the willow tree, in fact, had she not seen that kid from earlier””What did the teacher call him? Oh, yes… Vladimir”” sitting beneath it. “Well! Hello, Vladimir,” she said, as she strode up and sat down in the empty space next to him. Grinning, she absently picked up one of the books sitting in a pile near her, flipped through it, and tossed it back on the pile, just to give her hands something to do. “Remember me, I hope?” OOC:Just to confuse him a little. ;) |

She was still conscious, in the way that Leila usually was--a hitch-hiker in a body she couldn't control.
Kalfu tilted Aurelia's head down, and made her kneel. He made twin figures out of the clay earth, putting one spelled leaf on each. They came to life, two bright red monkeys with glowing silver eyes, the Krabinay. "That should do for now," Kalfu said in Aurelia's voice. He clapped her hands together to get the dirt off, and then made her stand up. Kalfu threw down a leaf, making a cloud of blue smoke. "I have found a way back to this side, old friend," Kalfu said smugly. "It wasn't as hard as I thought." Apocalypse laughed heartily. "You'll be a great aid in acheiving my aims, friend. Come through the portal I have provided for you when you are ready." The smoke dissapeared. Kalfu stuck two leaves on Aurelia's eyes, then took them off. He spelled them so that the walk to the portal would go uninterrupted--naturally, if Aurelia's eyes were burning red, someone would think that something was wrong. He piloted Aurelia back to the fence, leaping over it with the help of the Krabinay, who could jump about twenty feet easily. Aurelia landed softly, walking back onto a path as if nothing had happened. Kalfu made her make a beeline for the bathrooms, and she power-walked towards the school, and through the doors. Aurelia looked at the same mirror that the twins had. It seemed to be made out of mercury, with the way it shifted and shimmered like liquid. This was obviously the portal, as there should have been no mirror here. Aurelia's arm reached out to touch it, and her finger dissapeared. She felt her body leap, but was helpless to stop. She then dived headfirst into the mirror, going through to the other side. Apocalypse sat on his throne. "Welcome," he said. "Welcome to the beginning of the end! We shall crush all the weak so that only the strong survive!" He laughed heartily, as if that was a joke. Two tears traced their way down Aurelia's cheeks. OOC:Annnd I'm done for now~! Come find me at Apocalypse's base in NYC. :O

I sure know how to pick 'em, he mused, looking up at the sky as he munched thoughtfully. It seemed like a nice enough day, but Vladimir had a bad feeling as he looked up into that blue abyss. There was something wrong, but he couldn't place it. He was sure it wasn't some homework he didn't do -- he never really cared about that, anyway. It was one of those mysterious feelings that he never understood, the kind he would usually ask his younger sister about. Yes, she was the "in-tune" one, when it came to such abstract feelings of foreboding.
Just then, his thoughts were interrupted by the girl from before. Or was she? He noticed that she wasn't interested in the book this time, which seemed entirely contradictory to how she acted before. Besides that, her hair had changed again. "Of course! How're you doing? It's hard to tell after that, huh?" He was being purposely vague, hoping to figure out what was really going on here, without looking like an idiot if his suspicions were wrong. |

Lulu wasn't sure what, exactly, Vladimir was referring to. Perhaps her little mishap with the teacher? Unlikely, considering how common an occurrance it was, but maybe he was one of those people who got hung up on little things like that. "Yeah," she said, with a shrug. "That. It's not that big a deal, really." She grinned and leaned back, placing her hands behind her head. "Besides, I got out of it okay, didn't I?" |

Surprisingly fast, Apocalypse has knighted her as Death, and she had picked up a new set of clothes to wear. A long, flowing black robe, and a long red scarf that covered her mouth and nose when she wore it. It was the same red as Kalfu's eyes. Her feet and arms were bare, a wierd feeling. She handpicked a number of Infinates to serve as her minions, and she was instructed by Mister Sinister to take a strange guy with her named Abyss. He was blue, with springs for arms, and a gaping black hole in his stomach. He opened a hole to another place--it looked familiar. It was shining, sparkling pewter, just like the portal in the bathroom. Huh, Aurelia thought. Well, except for that this one went straight to the lawn of Academy X. Oh sweet Jesus, Aurelia thought, All of the students are there, and Kalfu is... I am... Kalfu waved the forces through the portal, starting the invasion. She then got up on her black horse, and followed them through. Abyss hitched a ride on its back, cackling madly. OOC:I am making this up as I go......

Her response was just as vague as my question! For the moment, he considered whether or not this had any particular meaning. But only for a moment. Of course, split personalities wasn't something out of the norm for a place like this. He only wondered why this particular case had confused him more than any of the others he'd run into in his years at Xavier's Academy. Deciding to just go along for the ride and see how it turned out, he glanced in his lunch bag and, seeing nothing of interest, tossed it over his shoulder towards some trash can that he thought was there. It may have gone it, or it may not have -- Vladimir wasn't the type to care that much.
"You sure did," he responded at length, a grin upon his face. The young man opened his mouth to say something again, but was startled by the sound of... a horse. And, something he'd never heard before. He stood up immediately, looking towards the sound. It took a moment for him to see it -- his ears were extremely good, after all; he trusted them better than pretty much any other sense -- but when it appeared it was quite obvious. At least, the fact that it was there was obvious. What it was, less so. "Is this some sort of surprise training routine?" He asked the question aloud calmly, almost indifferently. In his head, however, that same thought was littered with colorful metaphors. His head was filled with similar questions, and most of the answers he came up with weren't encouraging. He had a bad feeling that the things coming from that... thing, whatever it was and whatever they were, weren't going to be friendly. He turned around to look at Lulu. "We just might want to get to Xavier. You know, ask him what the deal is with interrupting lunch." |

"Oh," she said. "Wow." One hand reached up to rub the back of her neck. "We should probably go find out." She grinned, latching onto his training theory. "Or, y'know, we could go impress everyone by kicking some surprise training butt." |

"Go." The Infinite soldiers poured out of the portal, followed by Cerci.
Kalfu smiled a self-satisfied smile as his minions marched on the campus his host had once known and loved... Abyss emerged last, after the thousands of minions. "Kill..." He hissed crazily, bounding off. "Don't have too much fun now, Abyss," Kalfu-Aurelia said with a chuckle. The Infinite were coming to the tree where the students were, and the Cerci were, as usual, eating and climbing over everything they could. "Attack, my children!" Kill? Vladimir repeated in his head. Don't have too much fun? No way this is training. Vladimir spun around, looking at the students sitting around, all of whom were just starting to realize what was going on. He knew several of them, but few were of particular interest to him. Still, he had enough compassion in him not to abandon the girl he was talking with, at least -- not that he wasn't tempted. He even hesitated for a moment before walking briskly towards her and grabbing her by the wrist. "Hope you don't think me too forward," the gangster said quickly, but with a surprising calm. He even had a rather sly grin upon his face. "But I think we should fly for the moment." He began to drag Lulu towards the school then paused, turned around, and swept her off her feet. Then, he broke into a sprint, cupped his lips awkwardly, and issued a shrill whistle. Suddenly, as though a giant fan had suddenly appeared in the ground, they were propelled into the air and onto the roof of the school. Setting her down, Vladimir walked towards the roof access door. "Sorry about not giving you much of an option back there," he said almost cheerfully over his shoulder. "You can go back there by yourself if you want, of course; it's just that I would have been remiss to not have given you this option," Here he reached the door, and quite literally unlocked it with a snap. He turned back to face her briefly, a genuine smile upon his face. "I'm grabbing my violin, however. Whistles won't help me much against whatever those were.... Care to join me?" |

With a tiny frown of concentration, she turned the doorknob from where she was standing, on the edge of the roof. "Of course," she said, returning his grin and walking past him, through the open door. "You think I'd let you have all the fun?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Leah heard the commotion from the door of the bathroom. She, like Vladimir, assumed that it was training-- but when the screaming began, her certainty wavered a little. Xavier was eccentric, but he would never put his students in danger, not in the name of training. After her earlier shock from the vision, she wasn't keen on finding out exactly what was going on. I have a bad feeling about this. She began to run, away from the noise and the chaos. The nearest building looked like a dormitory, and there were still people inside; Safety in numbers, she thought, a little panicked, and dashed inside. OOC:XD They may end up switching again... I'd like to avoid anyone seeing both the twins together for as long as possible, though. |
D: Kalfu-Aurelia's head whipped around. "Escape is not an option," she said, dismounting from the horse. She made a ring of leaves, then threw a ball of energy at them. A red, shimmering portal appeared, and swallowed the horse, sending it back to Apocalypse's base. When the portal closed, the two Krabinay were back. They screeched and hopped up and down. "Time for a ride," Kalfu-Aurelia said. Each of the monkeys grabbed a leg, and threw Aurelia to the roof. They followed soon afterwards, crazy silver eyes sparkling, and a demonic grin on their faces. "Come out, come out, where ever you are," Kalfu-Aurelia said in a sing-song voice, made significantly more creepy by the fact that Kalfu's deep voice and Aurelia's spoke as one. "...Not gonna come out, are ya?" Kalfu-Aurelia smirked, then kicked in the door using Aurelia's monstrous strength. Kalfu-Aurelia gathered red, crackling energy in her left palm. -- The Infinite soldiers burst through the main doors and windows, glass shattering, wood splintering. Students screamed and ran in terror. Some stood up to the Infinite, or were not fast enough... all the weak ones that stood in the way were cut down. The Cerci hordes crawled all over the mansion, putting down egg sacs wherever they felt like. The teachers made a united front under Xavier. They could easily kill the enemies, but they kept coming, and coming, and coming... They were vastly outnumbered, and Xavier knew this. There were only two options: run, and abandon the mansion, or make a valiant stand and hope that some made it through. He knew that he'd never be able to live with himself if he chose the second option, and so he chose the first. OOC:Umm... okay, Dan or Chris, can you make him tell the kids to leave or whatever? "Uh, let's hurry up a bit, maybe." --- Professor Xavier was not liking the current situation any more than his students. He wished there was a way for him to get more students behind his line of defense, but the strange spiders were simply too numerous to risk leaving and breaking formation. Everyone, he sent telepathically to all his students, If you can make it to the office we have set up a wall behind which you can safely hide.
