Leon Azhar (Az) Planet/Race: Amra/Palauan Age: 30 human years (60 Amran years) Alliance: Empire How He Feels About the Empire/Amra: He doesn't particularly like either of them because of what happened to his family. However, he does ally himself more with the Empire in his mind because he is extremely grateful to Elaina for saving him from the gladiator ring. Position: Soldier in His Majesty's Military...primarily he does bodyguard and (Amran language) translation duty for various people. His secondary work is assassination. Currently he is assigned as a personal bodyguard of Elaina Storming. Abilities: Palauan immense strength: amplified since he is in such good physical condition. Could literally punch divots in solid steel plating. He also has the Amran steel-strong bones. He is quite good at hunting, gathering and tracking, given that he had to do that to eat for the first half of his life. As such, he can walk nearly silently, sneaking up behind his victims before they even know he is there. Appearance: Az is very muscular, even more fit than Kamil, since he spends a lot of time maintaining his body. He is very cool-natured due to the fact he was raised on Palau (tropical rainforest: like a sauna). He wears long-sleeves and pants for this reason... not because he's modest or anything like that. He's been known to walk around nearly naked without realizing it. He stands at 5'8". His eyes are an odd hazel color, almost yellow. He was told by his mother that this is because his great-grandfather was Sindhian. Personality: He does keep rather good control of his strength, except that he has been known to crush things he's holding when he is angry. He is generally good-natured, patient, and easy to get along with, no particularly minding the fact that his job requires a lot of standing around and waiting. However, despite his usual good humor, he is quite reserved when it comes to discussing his personal life, and tends not to ask about others'. Gentle-natured, loving plants, animals, and children, but when he's on the job he will do anything to complete the task. He kills coldly, and usually quickly and cleanly (but not always). However, he would never kill a woman or child... even if his life depended on it. That is his one condition on assassinations. History: Azhar is in a very unique situation: his mother and younger brother fought on the Amran side during the war, and his father and older brother were spies for the Empire. He never was able to decide with whom he wanted to side, so he didn't choose--instead, he ran deep into the forest, hiding from the war. He would come out periodically and visit both parts of his family. Unfortunately, when his village was captured, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Caught in his mother's house, a known rebel, no amount of explaining could get him out of his situation. His mother and younger brother were taken as slaves, but he was sent to the gladiator's ring to fight. (If you're wondering what happened to his dad and older brother? They were caught by the Amran military and killed.) He had never killed another in his life, but having the fear of death in him made him learn mighty quick. He soon gained the nickname "The Professional" since his fights were so quick and clean that many thought he was a ringer, an assassin hired for show. His reputation attracted Elaina Storming to the ring to see him fight, and after witnessing what he could do, she hired him as her personal bodyguard. Would you be so kind and remedy the situation?" xD
Was he in the army while Amra was still independent? Was he drafted into the army or did he volunteer? Maybe he was going to be used as a gladiator, but when Elaina was told she needed a bodyguard she snatched him up!! How does he feel about the Empire? Did any of his brothers or family die during the conquest? Did he have a wife? Children? Is he happy that he has to tagalong with Elaina like some knd of pup? Does she have him go out and assassinate peoples still? |

They locate him and Elaina goes and checks him out. Then after extensive interrogation she decided to hire him, since Valkier kept scolding for running around the planet with a one-armed Sindh for protection, badgering to hire a bodyguard. |

Poor gimpy Kamil isn't good enough, apparently :'< (Well... he's kind of a geek, and he's missing the arm, so I can see why people think he's not useful in a fight. xD) PS. Neither of his parents were on their chosen sides for the money... they believed that their side was right and the only way the planet would prosper. |

Of course, he was caught in a rebel's home, but considering that both parents were loyal to his/her cause, she probably figure that Leon'd be just as loyal if given a reason. Saving someone from inevitable death (because someone was bound to come along. There's always someone stronger.), giving them a steady and relatively easy/safe job as well as room and board probably seemed like good reasons, even if he didn't support the empire.
Aww!! Poor Kamil!! Well, it's not like she wanted or needed a bodyguard. She knows he can do fairly well in a fight, but what Valkier says, goes. |

Yeah, pretty much, he respects Elaina b/c she saved him from inevitable death. Same reason as Kamil, really. He likes the Empire more, though, because... well, they didn't kill his family. (The Zorian government did. Because they're gigantic buttwipes.) |

She's got lots of friends in high places, which could actually make her look like a real threat to the Emperor. Are these people loyal to The Empire or Elaina? Has she been secretly hoarding power in hopes that she could gain enough to overthrow Valkier?? Such treachery is not uncommon in Tierisian history, and she is half keitosian and everyone knows they're a shady lot, and she's half Xarian, a people they conquered and treated cruelly. We all know that Elaina is only loyal to the Empire and would never betray His Majesty, but Arkus, or anyone for that matter, could easily destroy everything she had worked so hard to gain if they had the proper evidence. Besides, once it's out that she's a mix of two powerful races, she'll probably be locked away in a lab somewhere and used as a lab rat for the rest of her miserable days. |

Elsewise, I've noticed we haven't approved this character yet.... Um, I'd kinda like to know more about what makes him tick...if you think of anything, feel free to add it. Either way, APPROVED. |

I know she would not object to a blood test if confronted properly. She thinks she has nothing to hide and as far as anyone can tell she as clean as a whistle unless someone decides to falsify evidence. Bad idea, considering she has the entire secret police backing her up.

| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Posted: Wed Jan 16, 2008 12:55 am Well, seeing as he isn't patient enough to test her blood, once he got suspicious, he would simply grab her hand, hold it palm up, and then ever so gently set a ball of lightning into it. If she was human, the attempt to give it to her would cause her to receive a very painful shock, no matter what. But as a Xarian/Keitosian, even subconciously she would be able to hold the sphere and keep it from harming her. Mind you, if he threw it at her in bolt form, it'd hurt her anyway, but since Arkus is partially controlling it, it's all good.
Or, he could just cut her and let Melseme lick her blood. But that's less dramatic. And besides, on the blood test note, isn't she deathly afraid of needles? |
