Age: 26 Occupation: Lieutenant-Colonel in His Majesty’s Military Alliance: The Empire Physical Description: Briant is handsome and refined, just like any spoiled rich kid should be. He spends a significant amount of his free time keeping on top of the latest fashions, and actually managed to get on the committee for redesigning the Imperial military uniform because of this. Briant’s body is actually somewhat frail-looking, and his physical strength is about as low as it appears. He is, however, nimble and quick on his feet. Christopher is very particular with keeping his appearance sharp and clean. People who have been unfortunate enough to spill something on him have been demoted on more than one occasion. While he is not a hypochondriac, he washes his hands quite often. Personality: The only thing that surpasses his arrogance is his skill… in making others feel inferior. Though it’s true that he often displays a great intellect and wit, his greatest strength is definitely not his intelligence – he is just able to make people think that it is. If he weren’t so arrogant, his strongest trait would be his charisma; people generally hang on his every word, and do what he asks immediately. Still, his extreme arrogance, while amusing to some who see the humor behind it, tends to annoy just about everyone else. Christopher is extremely critical of those under his command. Though he doesn’t look specifically for things to criticize unless he actively dislikes a particular person (and there are many of these people), he rarely will let even the smallest mistakes go unnoticed. Though usually extremely professional while on-duty (he refers to the barrage of insults as “enforcement of authority” and is thus able to get away with it), when he trades his uniform for more casual clothes, he is known to frequent several bars and is said to be popular with the women. History: Christopher’s was born Jean Valerie Johnson to a lower-middle class family on Tiershaa. His parents had obviously hoped for a girl, and that fact scarred him for the rest of his life – mostly from his days in school. Kids being what they are, he was always called Valerie instead of Jean, much to his chagrin. He tried to get them to at least call him Val, but to no avail. As a result of the childish insults, he developed a rather serious inferiority complex. This drove him to compete in as many areas as he could, to prove himself. Then, when he began to succeed, he rubbed it in the face of anyone who previously insulted him. Of course, this only made him feel like he needed to compete even more to back up his counter-insults. It was a vicious cycle that led him to leave home and enlist in the military as soon as he was eligible. Once finally free from his family and childhood competition, he changed his name and became a new person. His competitiveness and perfectionism stayed, however, which helped him to gain respect from the higher ups and rise in rank quickly. Few under his command liked him, but they all respected him – while he wasn’t exactly nice, he did get things done, and that always reflected well on the whole unit. OOC: Eh, this is sort of really half-assed. I had about a paragraph in each section from a *long* time ago, and just finished it today.
Oh yeah, should I go ahead and start it? Questions? Comments? Cheesecake tempura? |

Sounds like a fun character. Dunno much about the story, so I really can't say... XD But I can definitely say that cheesecake tempura sounds disgusting. Absolutely horrendous. |

The soft, cool cheesecake contrasts pleasantly with the crisp, warm tempura batter. A drizzle of chocolate on top of it all just adds to the delicious party in my mouth.... I think I might somehow try to start things up tomorrow. Maybe boots will actually get on again so I can do something on star wars... >_>; |

Actually, cheescake tempura doesn't sound bad at all. It can't be any worse than the "fish" they're serving in the cafetriria today. I want steak SO BAD!!!!!!! TT_________TT |

I reaaaaaaaally want to start LW. However, I don't know if we have all the charas for it. If you think this is all we'll get, I'll start a new thread, but I want to be sure... |

| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Posted: Fri Dec 07, 2007 5:05 pm ...Well, technically, yes.
I mean, we have four people, but I was really hoping to get a fresh Valkier in, among other things. Now that we've rearrange the plot a bit, I was hoping to balance it a little more (rebel/empire). All four people have two characters, as well, usually with one on each side of the line...it just seems a little...I don't even have a word...it's just that it's odd with all eight characters under the control of four people....I really don't even know where I'm trying to go with this anymore...but it just doesn't quite fit in my head...can anyone else help me clarify this? |
