Name: Reika Terjon Age: 166, looks around 18-ish. Gender: Male Appearance: Tall and thin, with a serious face. He wears standard Shinigami garb, with the addition of a dark blue headband and black fingerless gloves. His skin is a little on the pale side, with a dark green tattoo on his left cheek. The tattoo follows his cheekbone from his ear, coming to a point about two inches from his mouth. A similar green tattoo, this one triangular, is next to his left eye. His hair is blonde, brushing the base of his neck in the back. His eyes are crystal blue, and his hair falls across his right eye. Nakimushi is sheathed at his right side. Personality: Extremely quiet and introverted, rarely speaking outside of the presence of a small group of Shinigami friends of his. When he does speak to others, however, it is only after careful thought and consideration, and is usually worth listening to. Terjon is mature beyond his years and is generally kind, but everything he does seems to be lined with a tinge of despair. He is loath to tell anybody about his life when he was alive, because it pains him so much. Even his friends know very little about him. Once one has befriended Terjon, however, he is a steadfast friend who will remain loyal to his dying day. He is very responsible and will willingly take the blame for any mistakes a friend of his commits. In some ways, he is almost like a doormat, willing to do anything to avoid getting on people’s bad sides. He has a strong sense of honor, though, and will fight to keep it. History: Terjon was born Niccolai Molneea and raised in Russia in the 19th century. His family was middle-class, neither exceptionally wealthy nor starving. His father raised Niccolai and his younger brother, Anastase, by himself, because his mother died of a rare disease two years after Anastase was born. When Niccolai was 13 and Anastase 10, their father managed to save enough money to move to Japan, a land he had always wanted to visit. The family ended up living there, the two boys actually shedding their Russian first names and changing them to Terjon and Indigo, respectively. While they lived there, Terjon met a girl named Kate who had also moved there recently, from Nova Scotia. The two quickly became friends, with Terjon developing a deep-seated love for Kate. He never told her, believing it would ruin their friendship if his love was unrequited. As it turns out, he carried the secret with him to an early grave, dying in a freak lightning storm at age 17. Many Shinigami say that their life never really started until they died. Terjon is of the opinion that these people are just trying to be cool, insisting that his life never really started until he met Kate. He reveres her more than anything else besides God. While living in Soul Society after his death, he ended up in a middle-class district, matching his position while he was alive. Like many other Shinigami, he didn’t realize his potential to become a Death God until discovering that he became hungry from time to time. Taking this as a sign, he began to meditate daily and train himself in combat. Eventually, he was adopted by the minor noble Reika family and attained permission to enter the Court of Pure Souls and attend the Shinigami Academy. He graduated with above-average scores, showing an aptitude for tactics. He was appointed to Third Squad and rose through the ranks quickly, becoming Lieutenant just after achieving Shikai. He has not yet revealed to anyone what his Shikai looks like, causing many to think he hasn’t achieved it yet and underestimate him. Rank: 3rd Squad Lieutenant Zanpakuto: Nakimushi Sealed Form: Appears similar to a standard Zanpakuto in its standard form. Its blade is slightly longer and thinner than usual, and the guard is fairly wide, made for defensive fighting. Zanpakuto Spirit: Nakimushi is a female spirit, appearing in her older teenage years. She is of average height and regal stature, and gifted with natural beauty that makes her skin literally glow. Her hair is light brown and a little shorter than most girls’, barely reaching her shoulder blades, and her eyes a mysterious cloudy grey. She wears loose, comfortable garb consisting of a faded red cut-off tank top, loose blue pants, sandals, and a light grey cape draped across her shoulders. Before appearing to Terjon, she read his thoughts and decided to take this form because it reminded him of Kate. Nakimushi is caring and kind, and always seems to be in a good mood. Terjon trusts her even more than his closest friends, and she is the only one who knows what his life was like when he was alive. In his free time, Terjon often draws her out of his Zanpakuto just to talk, ask her opinions on matters he finds important, and so forth. The two of them work together as a flawless pair on the rare occasion that Terjon actually gets into a fight. Shikai: “Basabasa metsuki,” literally “Be dry, eyes.” Intended as “Dry your eyes.” Description: In its Shikai form, Nakimushi undergoes a significant change. Its blade compacts into misty blue energy and extends to a length of 15 feet, transforming into a flexible whip. The cross-guard disappears, and the whip’s flexible part actually feels cold to the touch, draining heat from the air around it. It also glows slightly, giving the impression of concealing great power. Shikai Abilities: –Any object struck by Nakimushi in its Shikai form loses a significant amount of heat. The temperature of such objects, opponents included, is reduced by ten degrees Celsius. In addition to making opponents uncomfortable, this can slow their reflexes and hinder their focus. -Using moisture from his body held together by Spirit Energy, Terjon can fire small cross-shaped shards of ice from his hand. These drain minimal Spirit Energy, relying instead on his body moisture. He can normally fire a dozen such crosses before becoming dehydrated, though the number rises to 18 in misty or otherwise damp environments. Bankai: Not yet discovered. Bankai Abilities: Not yet discovered. |

Note that you don't have to be in Japan to end up in Seireitei when you die ;)
As for the sword part, my one question is: Has he really achieved materialization already? I understood that to be very difficult and one of the steps close to gaining bankai. That's all. The Japanese for the shikai release command doesn't seem right, but that doesn't really bother me. So yeah, fix/explain those and he'll be approved ;) |

Ah, okay. The moving to Japan part is kind of important, but I can make him younger. About what age would work? X3 Actually, if someone could tell me what it should be, I would be mucho grateful. I wasn't thinking materialization, exactly. It's more like what Ichigo does a few times where he goes into his mind (the big sideways cityscape) and can talk to Zangetsu. Sorry if I wansn't clear enough on that. |

Anyway, for the Shikai command, I'm not positive on the correct verb, but I would recommend "Namida wo Fuke!" (Literally, "Wipe [your] tears") As for moving to Japan... Matthew Perry didn't open Japan to foreigners until 1854. At that point, it had been almost completely shut off from the rest of the world for over a couple hundred years. Also, the Americans forced them to open their borders. So, technically you "could" go there after April, 1854 I don't think people would have been very friendly. But again, I can't say for sure, so I'll definitely give you the benefit of the doubt. Still, while I'll approve him without hesitation as long as we pretend you mean "sometime post-1854" when you say "19th century," I don't really think him being in Japan when he dies to be very important. Soul Society isn't just for the Japanese, it's for everyone. (My character, for example, died in Japan.) But anyway, it's you're character and if we go with the previously discussed dates, his history and such are perfectly possible, and therefore I have no problems. Approved! (Finally!) - The Administration PS: Sorry again for the delay.... |
