Physical Description: Ryouji's silver hair falls around his narrow face, and he sports blue rimmed glasses over jade green eyes. He stands at about 5'10", and most often wears a untucked and unbuttoned dress shirt with his left sleeve rolled up, (but his right one down over his arm and hand to cover his Sanrei Glove) over a dark T-Shirt, which he does tuck into his loose fitting slacks and black belt. Around his neck is a Quincy Cross necklace, one that holds no actual power anymore. Coincidentally, he is left handed. History: History: Ryouji was only 5 when his father began his Quincy training. He was extremely talented, but rather apathetic. He easily mastered the basics and quickly progressed in his training. His sister started two years after he did. She would always prod his lazy self into any kind of action, and when they both were charged with their training and practice, she was the only reason he ever actually practiced anything. Ryouji cared deeply for his little sister, and even taught her how to do some of the more advanced techniques. She proved to be just as good a learner as he was, and even surpassed him at one point. This spurred him to practice on his own, a first for the lazy Ryouji. For years, they practiced and sparred, their abilities spiking greatly. One day, Ryouji and Reia went out to the park, where they normally practiced. It was empty, and the siblings were greatly enjoying their day. Suddenly, a scream rang out. It was a young girl. Ryouji and Reia ran toward the sound to discover a hollow menacing a poor child, with a shinigami standing nearby. The death god took a swing at the hollow, but the beast promptly slapped him to one side. With that, the death god turned tail and fled. That only left the two Quincy to stand in the Hollow's way. While each of them were very powerful for their age, they were still only 12 and 10, respectively. They fought with it for several minutes, barely keeping it back. The hollow lunged forward and smacked Ryouji aside. It then seized Reina and began beating her around. Ryouji struggled to get to his feet, but couldn't. Reia screamed. Ryouji finally managed to lop off an arrow that pierced the Hollow's skull, destroying it. Reia hit the ground hard. Ryouji struggled over to her side, barely concious himself. Reia was bleeding from several wounds, her breathing labored. Ryouji let out a primal yell at his own helplessness and collapsed. When he awoke, he and his sister were in the hospital. He and his sister survived, but it was a long time before his sister could even walk again. From that day on, Ryouji hated shinigami because of the cowardice that the one had shown, that had nearly cost his sister her life. Ryouji didn't use his powers once in the time that his sister was recovering, fearing his own weakness that failed to protect her. He retreated within himself for the longest time. When Ryouji turned 16, everything changed. His sister could move on her own again, and he had begun to regain his happiness. He still didn't give a damn about much, but he was able to smile again. Still, his abilities had progressed even though he hadn't practiced. He didn't see any point in killing Hollows unless he had too, that old laziness kicking back in. Ryouji generally left that to his father, though perhaps part of it was because he had a deep seated fear of Hollows because of that one incident from four years before. One night, his father was out late on his patrol. Ryouji went out searching for him. When he finally found him, his father was arguing with a Death God. Suddenly, a Hollow appeared behind the Shinigami. Ever the honorable man, Akihide Ryuuji threw the Death God aside and stepped in the way. The hollow essentially ripped the Quincy in half. The death god didn't even try to help him, but Ryouji, enraged by his father's death, blew the Hollow into nothingness, the first time he'd used his powers in years. The shinigami turned and ran from the Quincy, but Ryouji caught up with him and demanded an explanation for his pathetic behavior. The shinigami didn't even deign Ryouji with a reply, instead swinging his zanpakutou at him. Ryouji swifted dodged and blew a hole through the death god's skull. Ryouji was never the same after that night. From that point on, Ryouji took up his fathers place, and swore that he would kill any death god who had the misfortune to cross his path. His powers kept increasing over the years, and after he mastered the Sanrei glove that belonged to his grandfather, was able to destroy a Hollow close to a mile away from him without even seeing it. His sister's powers grew as well, and she eventually wore the Sanrei glove that Ryouji had brought back from their father's body. Both of them remained close, though it seemed Ryouji had found a new passion in his Quincy heritage. Personality - Ryouji's attitude toward any task is rather nonchalant. There doesn't seem to be much he cares about, and rarely accomplishes something. As such, he is fairly unreliable. However, because of events in his past,he holds to his vow to kill any death god to this day. He has not yet failed in his self assigned task. Powers: Obviously, he can manifest both a Quincy bow and a second level Sanrei bow. He also has several rare powers of Quincy origin. - Hirenkyaku(Flying Curtain Feet) - Quincy's flash step, actually faster - Seishouken(Spirit Sword) - One of Ryouji's self created techniques that allows him to make a blade completely from reiatsu. Using it, he can hold his own against an average captain's zanpakutou. - Kaihou no Ya(Released Arrow) - Ryouji's control of spirit particles is so great that he can compress a greater amount of energy into one arrow, coloring it green. This arrow is capable of piercing solid steel walls and even snapping the average shinigami's zanpakutou. Interesting Trivia - He is quite the slacker, unusual for any Quincy. Yet, he is extremely talented in whatever he does. - Over the years, he took up violin, guitar, keyboard, and cello. Yet, he never practiced and still played each very well...except the cello. For some odd reason, he could never play it at all. Also, he is a tenor, but was too lazy to ever teach himself how to seriously sing. Still, he is often complemented for his voice. He even carries around a pitch pipe in case he gets bored, he plays with it. - His favorite food is Herring Souffle. - He cannot stand the word "juxtapose."
