I say it lasts until a while into the opening feast..thingy :p Got a problem? Too bad T__T It's a logical thought; to me anyway...
Elise shrugged, taking her wand back from Victor and returning it to the same hole in her jeans. She sighed heavily; she hated it when her face was visible. "Augh!" she groaned. "I hate it when my face is so... not... well... covered!" she complained, struggling to pull her bangs back down in front of her face. Only a few, thing strands of hair actually came back down. She was slightly relieved to see at least some of the hair in her eyes again. "I hope this all goes away soon..." she mumbled. "The last thing I need is people commenting on my eyes..." Elise had been either tormented or complimented to death on her eyes throughout her life. Her pupil, instead of being a regular, black circle, like most people had, was a strange spiral-shape. It started where the pupil in her eye would be and snaked it's way about to touch the cerulean circle around it. "I can't stand.. being insulted..." she mumbled, picking up Zwolf who, at the moment, seemed quite perplexed with her current hairstyle. He 'winked' and meowed affectionately, putting his paws on her chest and licking her nose, almost aware that she was upset, in an attempt to comfort her. Against her will, Elise smiled warmly and rubbed her cheek against the feline's face. |

Of course, he had almost forgotten about his scarf (a necessary garment when you worked with noxious chemicals and whatnot) so he saved himself most of the smell without having to smash his last vial in the middle of the floor. Casually, he told Calibur to fetch it for him. The little owl did his part (he, too avoided a nasty awakening, having buried himself into Anthony's scarf) and returned the vial.
"I do hope you don't use all my potions for such tricks," Anthony said warningly. "Unlike this one, the others have definite uses" |

The vile had not been meant for Elise. She was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Etta tried to find some way to put the blame on Artemis to soothe her conscience, who had finally decided to wake up, but she failed.
It's my fault, she thought. I threw the vile, so it's my fault. Etta winced as she remebered ho Elise had pounded that other student, but she knew it was the right thing to do... even if it was totally insane. She stood up and handed the owl in the bubble to Dizzy. "James, keep an eye on Terrestial," Etta said seriously. She never callled him James, except when she was really angry at him, and that rarely happened. Her expression was completely serious, even the mischievious twinkle had left her eyes. "I'll be right back." She slipped out of the compartment and began to walk down the aisle towards Elise's compartment. She had to ask around to find the right compartment, but she did finally find it. When Etta reached the door, she turned, and saw that the student were practically hanging out of their compartments. They whispered to each other, wondering what Etta Fairgood, the Prankster Princess, was up to now. She took a deep breath and knocked softly on the door. "Elise?" Silence filled the air behind her, so she glanced behind her again. The students were watching intently as they waited to see what would happen. |

He noticed that Elise was pretty upset, and that her cat was comforting her. He looked down to see his own cat staring up at him, it's head was cocked to one side, asking something of him. Victor nudged his head to the side Elise sat on, and his cat then jumped happily up between them. Elf brought his paws up against her shoulder and cuddles the side of her cheek, then began to playfully lick at her ear.
He began to tap his foot lightly to her words. Her comment about her eyes was kind of deep on him. She was complaining about how how people complimented her eyes, well... At least she had eyes. He shook his head though in disbelief to what she said. His head snapped up to the knocking on the door, his eye narrowed to see the figure of the girl, Etta, standing on the other side of the door. He did not want anymore guests, not now, no more pranks either. The trip only had began and students were wanting to try their powers for immature reasons. He was almost tempted to conjure a spell himself to rid the burden of this girl who stood at the door. Instead, he remained still and awaited a response from Elise, hoping she'd just talk to the girl through the door without opening it. It was only glass between them, afterall... |

I didn't mean to upset you since... you..." she said flustered, pointing to her own eye, signaling that she felt remorse for saying what she had. She sighed heavily, looking down at the ground. "I'm such a dumb a--" she began, but stopped when there was a knock on the door.
If this is another prankster... she thought, God help them.... Elise stood up, not bothering to open the door. She stood beside the door frame, speaking to the girl through the glass. "What, come to tell me how scary I am or something?" she asked sourly. |

"Trust me, I've done worse," she said looking up at Elise through the glass. "At least your not sticky." Etta slapped herself mentally. THAT'S NOT WHY YOU'RE HERE!!
She sighed as another wave of guilt washed over her. "I came to apologize," she said rapidly. "That vile wasn't meant for you at all. You just popped out of no where, and... I'm so sorry! If I had seen you before, I would have never... I'm not that mean! Really! You see, Artemis, or Kadu or whatever, he... I'm so sorry that you got caught in my prank. I never meant for you to be..." She took a deep breath. "Is there anything I can do to help?" She felt terrible. Etta never was good at apologies, and she hoped Elise undertstood her. Elise must be so upset, she hasn't even gotten to school yet and she probably thinks everyone hates her. |

This 'Etta' girl seemed genuine, and Elise could tell. If it was an honest mistake, which it seemed to be, Elise could forgive her. Sure, Elise was furious about her hair, and hated all of the immature pranks that were being pulled before the year had even started, but Elise had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. She should've realized that leaving the sanctum that was her compartment would have awarded her with some sort of negative outcome. After some deliberation in her mind, Elise nodded, forcing a smile. "It's... ok. Thanks for apologizing; I appreciate it.. not to mention..." she said, grinning, "... that took guts. You probably thought I'd beat you senseless." Elise chuckled, waving her hand. "I don't hit girls, so you don't have to worry, Etta." |

He thought to himself, hearing Etta's words quietly reach his ears through the glass. Could he have disguised himself? He must of been that Japanese guy. That must of meant he shoved the Dark Arts Teacher. Tht wasn't a good idea, but how could he of known? He shook his head again, bringing up his left hand to rub his eye. Other than this bothering him, Elise's apology about his injury didn't scathe him, he's had people talk about it before, and apologize as well.
Now knowing the person who caused Elise's hair to be done so 'professionally', he shook his head again. He remained silent as the two girls conversed with each other, glancing down at Elf, who was now asleep on the floor, cuddled around the yarn ball Victor threw to him earlier. |

"I thought you were going to use it on someone who deserved it, like yourself, perhaps"
Anthony hated to see a good (although somewhat buggy) potion go to waste or to be used as a prank. As far as Anthony thought, pranks were childish, although some were ways of expression for those who lacked the intellect to find some other method. Of course, he HAD been the subject of many a prank, so that could just be prior experience talking. "I'm truly sorry for the disturbance my potion has caused. Here, let me see if I have something to act as an antidote," said Anthony as he fished into his pockets. "Oh," he whipsered directly to Etta. "It's vial. The way you're saying it sounds like vile, which is a gross substitute" |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Elise's ears picked up the word 'antidote' from the other side of the door. Whipping out her wand lightning fast, she unlocked the door and opened it, grabbing the vial from the boy's hands. The German girl glared at him icily. "If this doesn't fix my hair, you're going to be in a world of hurt..." she growled. She popped off the cork of the vial and held it under her chin. Gradually she began to feel the hairs on her head fall back onto her face and down her back. When she ran her hand through her hair she was overjoyed; she loved having her bangs back to cover her target-like eyes**. Elise shook her head left and right, relieved to feel her long hair on her back again.
She smiled at Anthony, handing him the vial. "Thanks. I appreciate it." Suddenly Elise noticed that the antidote had not come without side effects. She reached up and pulled a piece of her hair over so that she could see it; it was tinted green. The German grew angry again, and grabbed the wanna-be alchemist's vest, glaring daggers into him. "TELL ME THIS IS GOING TO GO AWAY IN A FEW MINUTES..." she whispered, enraged. "Because if it doesn't...." OOC:** - no not that fancy French store... |

"I guess I should have told you before. I figured that since the hair was acting like a ferocious weed" -Anthony's own hair started lashing at Calibur, who snapped back in retaliation.- "a proper weed killer would cause it to become limp again"
Yet again, Anthony displayed his bizarre logic. His peers in slytherin always told him he was batty. However, his logic always steered him in the right direction. Then, during his train of thought, his nose caught of whiff of something...exotic. His nose followed the scent blindly but secretly. It was that german girl! She smelled like West Indian Lilac. Hmm... Anthony might have a definite career in perfume if he could perfect such things... |

"Well, as long as it's back to its regular color by the entrance ceremony..." she mumbled, closing and locking the door again. "I'll see you two at the school." she said, speaking to them through the glass. Elise smiled to Etta; she hoped they would become good friends.
When the two had left, the transfer student took her place on the cushioned seat once more, glancing out the window. She noticed that Hogwarts was getting closer, however slowly. Elise ran her hand down Zwolf's back and sighed lightly; it'd been a busy morning, and she wasn't very happy about it. She ran her hand through her hair, checking to see her green pigment had faded only slightly. |

He did not need anything else bothering him at the moment. He was trying to enjoy what silence he could get, considering the train's engine was a noise bothersome already.
As Elise closed the door, he was relaxed once again, he removed his hand from the wand and brought it up to his chest. He dug his hand under his robe to grasp the silver amulet that was bound about his neck. His fingertips caressed it lightly as he began to space out, his green optic became a flat shade of jade as he begna to traverse deeper into thought. |

"Victor? Are you sure you ok? Maybe you're sick.." she mumbled, doubtful that he heard her anyway. "It's probably the stupid vial that hit me earlier..." she grumbled, sniffing her arm slightly. "I reek of oranges..." Zwolf put his paws on her thigh and sniffed her shirt, shaking his head vigorously afterward. He seemed to dislike such a strong smell, as was obvious when he jumped off of her lap and sat on the floor, almost glaring up at her. Elise stuck her tongue out at her feline companion and chuckled. |

She felt as light as a feather. She had been forgiven and Elise had not beaten her to a pulp!! She seriously thought she woulld receive a black eye, at least!! Plus, Elise's hair was back to normal... well, sort of. She glanced back at Anthony. Why had the Slytherine student followed her? He had probably hoped to watch her get the crap beaten out of her, she decided. She shrugged, and skipped the rest of the way humming her favorite Wierd Sisters song.
"Ta da!" Etta exclaimed dramatically when she threw open the door, and plopped into the seat across from Dizzy. "I have returned! Miss me, Dizzy?" |
