Artemis, pleased with the outcome of his "welcome back" prank now sat atop the train, at the very back. It was getting dark, and he could now see Hogwarts coming into view. He guessed it was perhaps thirty minutes away, at longest. He was now in his teacher's robes, but nobody would see him; he was hiding on top of the train. In his mouth was a pipe, but it emitted a strange, blue smoke instead of normal coloured smoke. Furthermore, this smoke was sweet-smelling, more like steam from an apple-pie, fresh from the oven. At any rate, it was clearly not tobacco in this pipe, but it must have kept him warm, because, despite his robes, the wind was strong atop the train due to its speed. He watched the distance flee from the speeding train, his back to the wind, as he contemplated the school year ahead of him. He'd heard rumors shortly after being offered the job that it was cursed, and he had to admit it made sense; for a while, there was no Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher who stayed for longer than a year. Even the teacher last year had only been there for three. The new teacher shrugged it off, removing the pipe from his lips and blowing out the sweet-smelling smoke. He was quite happy with this invention of his; it had so far proved non-addicting, and with no medical side-affects. It was a shame the muggle world would never see it, its existance being the result of magic and not so much chemical science. He would have marketed it before leaving, had he been unable to come up with a proper name for it. Nevertheless, it was perfect for times like these when it got a bit cold. He put the pipe between his teeth and leaned back, lacing his hands together behind his head as he looked at the sky where the stars were beginning to come out. It was nice to be away from the city; you could really see the stars out here. It was rather romantic, and had Artemis ever had a girlfriend to think of, it might have even brought a tear to his eye. OOC: ps: i definately DO NOT endorse smoking. In fact, i'm totally against it, because it has NO medicinal value (in fact, it's BAD for you) and smells REALLY BAD. That's why he's smoking this stuff, cause it's actually almost GOOD for you, and it smells good! :D No, it's not hallucinogenic >_< |

I just hate the idea of having tons of first years freak out over my accent, and random people fawning all over me because I'm from Ger...many..." she said, trailing off as she heard the tune from the music box. Elise relieved the window ledge of her weight and took a few steps until she was in front of Victor and leaned over, using her left hand to hold her hair back. The music calmed her somehow, making her feel less apprehensive about her impending arrival at the school. "It's... really beautiful.. Where'd you get it from?" she inquired, squatting down, her hands on her knees as she eyed the box curiously. |

He parted his lips and let out a small sigh, reminiscing of his thoughts long past. "It was a gift..." He spoke out, quiet in tone as he was not so pleased of the story itself. "I've had it ever since I was found..."
He caressed the side of the black box with his fingertips. Continuing he speech, he looked down and away from the girl, seeming somewhat shy and bashful to his words as he spit them out, "I was raised at Hogwarts for a while, then I was released out into the world with some step parents. I come here to pay my respects for their hiospitality they had given me." He didn't want to tell her the whole story, after all, what younger person would want to hear a story of sorrow to bring your heart down on the opening day? He just simply put it out before she could speak again, "My parents are dead, I never knew them... Only their faces." He inhaled a deep breath, letting another sigh escape him as he glanced up to the girl. Giving off a trembling smile to her as he fondled about the music box in his hands. In some way, in his mind, he didn't really like having a hold of the box. It always brought back bad memories, not to mention the amulet he had. He thought for a moment if she would like to have it, but he had already let the story loose, she wouldn't of accepted it. No matter what excuse or how determined he was of giving it to her. So he just sat there, listening to the crystalline sounds as they filled the air and the low purr of his feline in his ear. |

It gave her warm fuzzies to have her hard work ackowledged. She raised her eyebrows in curiosity when the Bubblehead appeared, and she poked it with her index finger. Unfortunately, the sudden spell had disturbed Terrestrial from his slumber, and he was quite irked. He hooted and dug his talons into her scalp.
She shivered as Anthony began to laugh; it wasn't the most pleasant sound in the world. She narrowed her eye angrily at Dizzy when the potion wizard fell to the floor. "James," her tone was icy. "If this deal falls through because you had to show off. I will personaaly make you very near future quite miserable." She leaned forward, gently grabbed Dizzy's shirt collar and pulled him toward her. "Do I make myself clear?" |
| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Dizzy suddenly developed a nasty twitch as Etta dragged him forward. He knew she wasn't joking. He had seen first-hand the kind of damage Etta could cause.
"Eh-heh..." he said weakly as his stared at him through the bubbleheads. "Of course...I was...um...just...teaching about appearances...and...uhm...can you let go of my collar?" Due to the fact that he was somewhat taller than Etta, when she grabbed his collar, she had pulled his head lower quite painfully. "This kinda...um...hurts..." he said, lacking any and all forms of his usual grace. "Please?" Anthony was now probably not going to deal with Dizzy now, but Etta hadn't done anything just yet. She should still be fine. |

"There you go," she said happily. She looked at the boy laughing hysterically and sighed. He probably wouldn't get over the laughing gas until the train had stopped, so they would have to settle the deal later. She leaned back in her seat, and sighed contently as Terrestrial decided to cuddle against her cheek.
"Ready for school to start?" she asked her friend. She practically had to yell to be heard over Anthony's laughter. |
| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Dizzy grinned slightly as he sat down because of the loudness of the laughter. He massaged a sore place on his neck from when he had been held by his collar.
"Absolutely!" he yelled, hoping he wouldn't have to deal with that laugh all evening. He chanced a look out the window. His eyes widened. "Oh, snap!" he said, leaping out of his seat. "We're less than a few minutes away! We need to get into our robes!" OOC:next post, whoever does it, just put us in the school. We've been on this bloody train too long :P |

She lowered her eyes and gazed off to the side; Elise regretted asking. "I'm.. sorry. I didn't know. I shouldn't have asked..." she mumbled, running her hand through her hair, which was now back to it's original state as it was when she first boarded the train. The transfer student looked at Victor's sombre face and frowned. "Hey... let's be uh... happy?" Sounding uplifting was such an awkward thing for Elise. She patted Victor's cheek and pointed out the window. "Looks like we're here... huh?" she said, struggling to be positive. As the train came to a surprisingly quiet halt, Elise could hear the sounds of many students (some still infected by the laughing gas) getting up and shuffling about as they hurriedly gathered their belongings. The girl stood up on the tips of her toes, only barely reaching her bags before she pulled them up and off the shelf, letting them slam on the ground. Zwolf hissed his displeasure when he jumped up onto his owner's shoulder, biting at her ear. "Hey, calm down." she scolded. "Behave yourself. We're heading out now." Elise turned to Victor and waited for him as he picked up his own belongings. When he was ready she nodded and headed for the school. It really was a sight to behold, Hogwarts. The castle towered over the small ant-like students as they shuffled about, shoving one another to get to the doors. Elise looked about for her fellow Ravenclaw members as she reached into her backpack, pulling out her robes. She pulled them on quickly as she and Victor ascended the steps before the entrance into the school. A large, giant-like man stood before the doors and began speaking, though Elise payed him no mind. She hoped to get kicked out of this school as soon as possible, so listening to the rules wasn't going to help her any. At last the doors opened and the students rushed in. Elise walked in, feeling like a cow going to the slaughter. When she gazed up, she saw what looked like the night sky above her. Funny... she thought that she'd entered the castle... She shrugged it off, assuming it was some illusion of some sort. Speaking of sorting, they came to the banquet hall where four obscenely long tables resided, each with the banners of their respective houses hanging above it. Elise put her free hand on her hip and whistled softly; it was fairly impressive. Suddenly, the girl realized something. "Ah... Victor.." she said, turning to him. "You're in Gryffindor... that's right.. and a seventh year.. Well... I guess this is goodbye..." she mumbled, seeming slightly saddened. While she didn't have any real attatchment to him after such a short time, she felt as if they shared some kind of connection; it was as if they were in the same boat, so to speak. Elise held out her hand and smiled, shaking Victor's. The German turned around and headed for her House's table, waving goodbye to Victor as she walked away. OOC: NYAR HAR :D |

Etta had been able to dodge a few, and then enchant one to chase Peeves and try to go up his backside. Peeves left howling and cursing up a storm with a cane sticking out of his butt, but not before Etta had been hit in the head.
Etta stepped into the Great Hall, and sighed contently. I can't believe I'm a sixth year! she thought as she meandered her way to the Ravenclaw Table. I remember when I was sorted like it was yesterday. She smiled and waved at a few petrified first years. She found her seat, sat down and rubbed the bump on the back of her head. Etta stood on her seat and looked around the Great Hall. Then she saw Elise's golden tresses. She jumped a little, waved, and called out over the mass of students, "Elise! Elise, over here! I've saved a seat for you!" |

There were his classmates (oh, how he despised them) The Quidditch team gloating over prior victories that meant nothing on a grander scale, the popular seats as they talked about who's dad bought what, and then there was his seat, which was as far away from all of them as possible.
Walking through the Bloody Baron without a single pause, Anthony made his way to his seat and landed himself into the wood to await another boring start of the years speech. Looking around he could immediatly tell where everyone from the prior trip had been. There was Elise, her hair seemed to have been cured (he personally smiled at his little success). There was Etta, who was jumping up and down like child and waving to Elise. Dizzy did not seem to be in sight but whenever someone distinguished in Anthony's memory walked in, he would know. |

He, too, was saddened for this unfortunate turn of events. That's when he began to think, that talking hat... The one that sorted us into our groups. Could it change one's place, or even give a second chance? After all, people do change over time.
'Ravenclaw...' He could talk to the headmaster, Dumbledore, about this. He was sure he would approve of it, and understand. After all, he was tired of Gryffindors students. After his outcome of First Day Field Exam, and having his eyeball taken, he knew it was probably a suitable reason. Gryffindor just didn't appeal to him anymore, that, and not to mention he knew everything already. A first year in Ravenclaw could give him a more open view to magic. That's when he remembered teh consequences. Three years ago, Guile, a older student who tried to transfer houses had to deal with 7 more years. 'Nevermind...' He thought to himself, shaking his head. Then again, he was tired of this school, and he wanted to come here for one thing, and one thing alone. Having the music box, his wand, and amulet, along witht he robes and clothing on his back as of now, he threw down the cases he carried onto the floor in the midst of crowd. He then turned abruptly and began to head out. As he exited the door way, and began to head down the stairs, the big man started to shout at him, he was angered, and his gibberish was not so important in Victor's mind. Victor quickly turned as the man started to head towards him, he unsheathed his wand and let out a scream. "IMPEDIMENTA!!!" A white spark emitted from the man's body, and it pushed him back onto his back. Giving enough time for Victor to escape. He hurriedly began to run, it was quite a distance to traverse across the Quidditch playing field, but it would be easy, seeing that everyone was at the banquet and it was a clear run to the Centaurian Forest. His feline had his claws dug into his shoulders deeply, holding onto his master as he continued his pace. His face was grim, his eyelids were narrowed, and his brow twisted to create a wrinkle in between his eyebrows. He was determined about what he was doing... He was going to settle some business, long since pasted. |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Elise had seen Etta jumping up and down and sighed slightly. She began to scoot over to the table when she heard the loud sound of luggage being hurled to the marble floor. The girl spun around and saw a huge crowed gathering near the door. She ran over to see what was happening; it was Victor! What in the hell... she wondered. He's lost it... Her cerulean eyes watched him as she knocked down Hagrid, running past him and out the doors. He seemed to be heading for the Quidditch field, as far as Elise could tell. Or maybe..., Elise thought, ...he's escaping...? A sly grin krept across the girl's face. As the other teachers were busy keeping students back, Elise managed to sneak past, unnoticed, and make a mad dash after Victor.
She was still fairly far behind him when she shouted his name. Her breath was coming less often and in shorter amounts. Determined to find the reason for his sudden outburst, and wondering if she could possibly leave as well, she shouted: "VICTOR, STOP!" OOC: If any of you have a problem with my post, and saying it may ruin some kind of RP "FLOW", STFU. You can go suck a candy cane, because I don't want to hear it. There is no FLOW to a Roleplay in this style. We had to have SOMETHING happen :p So shut up and deal with it |

He stood about to the end of the Quidditch field, then turned to see that Elise was running towards him. Why was she following him, he wondered. He started to walk towards her until they met somewhat near the center of the field.
When they came together, he tilted his head and spoke out, "You know you're going to be in trouble, right?" He looked down at her exhausted figure, then shook his head. He wasn't burdened really by exhaust from his physical being. His lips quivered to one side of his face. He knew that she was going to be in troubled, and possibly kicked out for following. He also knew that he was going to get banished, no matter what. "You should head back before you get in trouble..." He said, thinking in the back of his mind, an idea to get her out of trouble, "Tell the teachers you tried to stop me but you couldn't catch me. That way you won't be in any trouble, okay?" He then patted her shoulder with one of his hands and nodded to her. |

"Don't you realize that I didn't even want to come here in the FIRST place!? Victor, I'll do anything to get out of this damned school!" She turned to glance back at the school. "I don't need... to be sent somewhere I won't fit in..", she mumbled. "Whatever it is that you're doing, I'll help you." |

Why would she want to help? Other than that, she was in no condition to help really. As of now, that is. He understood what it was like to feel left out, or not blend in so well. He couldn't be a hypocrit or be self-centered. He had no choice. That, and she couldn't tell the lie that she tried to stop him, for students were starting to head out towards them. Now realizing that they had to move, now, he spoke out quickly,
"Okay, you can come, now let's go!" His voice was almost a shout as it was commanding. He then snapped to a dead sprint along with Elise as they came closer and closer to the Centaurian Forest. |
