--- Name: Melia Stahlflugel, meaning “Hard worker, steel feather” in German MYTHIC Codename: Hephastia Race: German Class/ Job: Blacksmith-Gunsmith-Machinist/ Mercenary Age: 24 Height: 5'10" Build: curvaceous, but not fat Hair: about shoulder-length, and gone prematurely grey. she often braids it into a French braid. Eye color: Royal purple Appearance: Melia wears a maroon button-down shirt, moderately tight brown leather pants, and black cowboy boots. She is never seen without her brown cowboy hat, and also wears a silver spiral pendant on a black leather cord around her neck. Often wears dark grey, oval-shaped sunglasses that she made herself. OOC:PS. Someone on a WW board I belong to said, "Sunglasses weren't invented until the 1940's." Not true! It's true that their use wasn't widespread until the 1940's, during which stars made them popular. But, they have been around (and in use) since their invention in China in the 12th century.

Also very practical- doesn't believe in supernatural stuff. Likes to keep active, never sitting still, being bored. Very competetive. When she sees something she wants, she has to have it to be happy, and she usually does get what she wants in the end. Very contradictory- one example of this is that she laughs easily, and yet, overall, she is a very serious person. Favorite foods: spiced vegetables, steak Favorite drink: Absinthe!! Also likes fruit juice a lot. Quirks: Likes being alone at night so much that she will threaten others to get her own room! Has a hard time showing her feelings for people and telling white lies. Hates arguments between friends with a passion!! Likes to chew on toothpicks. Bad Traits: admitting when she's wrong- can, and will talk herself into believing she's not at fault at times. Runs over peoples feelings w/o realizing it. Materialistic and self-contradictory at times. Skills and abilities: Melia’s weapons are famous the throughtout the entire West as being very well-made. She can make most any weapon and specializes in making weapons that fit people’s personalities (custom). Very good in a fight, because she is proficient in most weapons, and several Martial Arts. Actually pretty muscular for a woman, but without being gross-looking. Weapons: -Carries a revolver, but tends not to use it -Sledgehammer -Fists Background: Melia ran away from home at the age of 16. She rode a train from her home (St. Louis) to Los Angeles, where she begged on the street for money to survive. One day, a man with strangely icy grey eyes walked up to her. "Child, do you want to live?" She stood up, meeting his eyes with hers, unafraid. "You're bold; I like that," he said, chuckling a little. He took the brown cowboy hat from off his head, and the gun from his belt. "I'll show you how to earn a living, kid. And it's one helluva living." He chuckled again. She held them in her hand, heavy, but strangely familiar. They rode off on his horse together to collect Melia's first bounty of many. Family: Her mother died while giving birth to her, and her older brother joined the military. Unable to tolerate the way her dad treated her (badly) when he was drunk (which was most of the time), Melia left home at a young age. --- N.B.: Stahlflugel, West, and Aria already know each other. OOC:And NO, while I have modified "Hephaestus" to be feminine, um. SF NOT GAY 4 APHRODITE >>;
(In the original greek myths, Aphrodite and Hephaestus are together... uhm, yeah, not keeping to the original loves... ;D;;; ) |

I remember Dracula in Bram Stoker's Dracula wearing blue-tinted sunglasses, and that was like 1800's, if I remember right. :P |
