Alias: Mambo Age: 17 Grade: 11th Nationality/ Country of Origin: African-American/ Haiti Height/ Build: 5’8”/ curvaceous, but not fat (another stick with boobs, LOL! Except this one has hips) Eyes: Normal- black, +Azazel= yellow, +Leila= azure Hair: black and straight, with bangs. Back is at base of neck, front hangs below chin. Appearance: has fairly large, almond-shaped eyes, and straight eyebrows. Full lips, and a round nose, but not flat like some African Americans have. Looks a little sad/ zoned out most of the time (but this is her normal face!). Clothing /Jewelry(normal): Wears a black tank top under an Army green jacket, a white skirt with a tan belt, and grey tennis shoes. /copper-colored snake armband on the upper part of her left arm Clothing (for while out saving the world): green spandex bodysuit (because all good superheroes wear Spandex), with an upside-down black cross with wings on the chest. Also has a black snake crawling up the left leg of the spandex. Covers everything except her head and neck, and the top has ¾ sleeves. She wears white gloves when channeling Azazel to protect her hands. Deformities/ Tattoos/ Scars/ Birthmarks/ Originalities: none/ none/ long, raking scars on her right side that look like something mauled her/ none/ has longer fingers than most Quirks: carries a tan-colored leather messenger bag anywhere she goes. She keeps many different things in this bag to appease whatever Loa she’ll need to summon… and the gods that rule above that loa. Skills/ Abilities: Soul bonded with Leila since the catastrophic accident several years ago, so they share the same body. *Can summon many Loa to help her out, but her favorite is Azazel, the loa of Disasters. Azazel can attack using fire, lightning, or by using the ground against the enemy (earthquakes, etc.) To summon: Legba -> Ogoun -> Azazel Summon Objects: snake armband Summon Food: banana + liver, Fisherman’s Friend lozenges/ licorice, cooked kale These are her psychic powers, the ones she was born with (her family are practitioners of voodoo)... the lab gave her superstrength and toughness. Weapons: carries a .45 pistol in her bag Personality: A fairly happy person, but there is always that underlying sadness and regret for the accident… Hates having responsibility (fear of failure) likes to let others lead, and supports them when she can. Plays saxophone/ flute to relieve stress. Family/ History: Aurelia was taken from her family at birth””they were told she died. She was taken to a research center where her brain was experimented on, giving awakening the spirit channeling/ Shamanic powers she has, and giving her super strength and a high pain tolerance. She made a friend, Leila, when escaping from the center. A few years later, they met each other again in New Orleans, LA, where they had both come to live. Aurelia learned how to be friends with other people again, but just a scant three years later, everything came crashing down. The god of Hell, who was so powerful she could neither kick it out, nor control its actions in her body, possessed Aurelia. It made her kill Leila in a brutal, brutal fashion (bare hands… OK lets not think about that! EW!! EW!!!!! Moving on!!). Due to their strong bond emotional and mental bond, after Leila’s body died, her soul moved in with Aurelia’s. Permanently! When Leila takes control, some people see more than the eyes change””those gifted with spirit powers can see Leila in Aurelia’s place. *Loa = stream of consciousness. About summoning: it is much like FMA's alchemy in that something must be given up before you get a result, and you have to draw something on the ground. In this case, the things you give up are "sacrifices" to appease the spirit you're summoning. Which can be anything from fruits to live humans, depending on the Iwa's taste and strength. She was possessed by a powerful evil spirit, and while possessed, killed her best freind Leila (who was a mutant known as Caliber for her incredible skill with firearms). Because of their powerful bond, Leila's spirit was attatched to Aurelia's body... permanently. (Their 2 souls share the same body.) They can switch who controls Aurelia's body at any time--Aurelia keeps the gun in her bag so that Leila can fight if she wishes, or in emergencies. ...Whew, hope that helps! |
