Besides, how could you get out? dragon scales would just sluff off a regular steel blade...
Whatever, I can't be bothered to go back and redo all this; just go with it for now and forget you could do it afterwards XD Digits sighed irritably, sliding his hand down his face in a gesture of frustration and annoyance. "Sauder you idiot..." he mumbled, before entering in rapidly the counter-shut down codes to keep the server online. The shutdown message faded away before his eyes, replaced temporarily with a message of apology.[/color:6c3e78fa0b] "Keisuke, stop overreacting, jeez," Nenshoukaze sent his friend privately. "The thing is more than fifteen levels below you. Shit, boy, have more faith in my programming." Unsheathing his katana, he took a blood-red crystal from his pocket and jammed it in the base of the hilt, causing the weapon to glow an eerie shade of red. "Right then," the samurai said anxiously. "Looks like I'll just kick its' ass myself." From another pocket he pulled a small, light-blue crystal which he lodged into the glove on his left hand. He then ran forward, taking a tremendous leap into the air. He turned forward in the air, so that his free left hand faced downwards and was below his body. This hand soon began to glow the same soft blue as the crystal. "Element: Water, Wind!" he shouted with enthusiasm. "Typhoon Torrent Mastery!" Suddenly, a mass of water gushed forth from his glowing hand, propelling him straight up into the air, quickly closing the giant gap between himself and the dragon. After almost twenty seconds of this form of propulsion, the spell faded away, and the water ceased to flow. Acting quickly, he cast another spell. "Element: Wind! Air Step Mastery, Angellic Leap Two!" With the first spell, he was able to step down upon the air as if it were the ground, and with the second he was able to leap much higher than before. After thirty seconds of landing and leaping, he made it up to the dragon. Now he grabbed his sword in both hands and held it high above his head as he flew up above the dragon. "Element: Fire! Blade Lengthen Mastery!" he shouted. With these words, the glow of the blade stretched out, extending the blade nearly thirty feet. As he began to fall back towards the ground, he pulled the blade down through the dragon's neck. While his katana alone could never hope to injure the dragon, even with its high level of attack power, using the crystal now embedded in the hilt as well as the elemental spell stored within it, his sword was given a magical property; the only thing that could possibly touch a dragon. The newly lengthened blade helped also, in several ways. Firstly, it ensured that he would hit, and secondly, if he needed to slice any he would have a much longer cutting surface to use. Gravity soon leant its hand to Nenshoukaze's attack, pulling him back down and helping the firey blade to pull through the dragon's neck. Once his blade finally made it through the dragon's thick neck, Nenshoukaze began to descend quickly; going down much faster than he had gone up. He quickly sheathed his sword, causing the glow to disappear. When within one hundred feet, or about five seconds, of the ground, he shouted out loudly, "SAFE FALL!!!" His descent slowed drastically, and though it was a safe speed when he hit the ground, he did not escape uninjured. He wasn't able to cast the spell quickly enough, and suffered duely. His hit points were quickly reduced to less than fifty percent, and his mana pool was drained similarly. But he had defeated the dragon. Digits now regretted creating the thing in the first place, not having forseen all the panic it would bring.[/color:6c3e78fa0b] OOC: so that you don't complain, my character is a much higher level than the dragon (i'm in the upper range of 70, and it was a bit below 60 |

"A level 70 dragon? I'm a stupid newbie myself, and ignorant. What of the hacker?" The deep voice came out of the unravelled face, which did not face her. |

Elric looked in a state of shock and amazement at what had just happened to the dragon he "thought" he killed. Elric looked at Sauder to see another shocked face. "Wow!" Being the only thing Elric could say |

"N00b's..." he muttered to himself. "It would have taken all of us to crush that thing. He pwnzed it with one hit. He's probably at least double my level." |

- Wolfos raced down a pitch-dark ally, the stamina system of the online game kicked in and he began to pant, glancing behind him every so often. He couldn't see them, but he knew there were two high-level assassins tailing him. Perhaps if it had been only one Wolf would've stood and fought, but he didn't stand a chance against two of them. He kept running through the black abyss, trying to think of something to do. Logging out was something he didn't want to do. He didn't have time to save his status and logging out now would put an end to all the training he had done in the past four hours. If he could only get to an area with stronger players he could ask for help. Quickly navigating through his equipment menu, Wolf equipped the Jump Boots that he had bought a few days ago. Such boots allowed for an extreme boost in jumping power. He bent down and thrust himself from the ground, sailing out of the ally and onto the roof of a house. The moonlight revealed the silhouettes of his pursuers as they did the exact same thing as him. Damn! Wolf slid from the roof and onto an empty street. Where the heck was everyone?! He looked around as he ran, searching for somewhere safe. There! A pub right ahead! He turned and faced the two black-clad assassins. "Bird of the sky, master of winds! Come to me and lend me thy strength! Eilithi, I summon thee!" A lightning bolt dropped from the sky and crashed right in front of the assassins, stopping them in their tracks. In a brilliant flash of blue and white a giant blue bird appeared. Wolfos wasn't going to stay and watch its attack; a low-level summon like that would only stall the assassins for him. The summon had sapped the last of his MP too, so no more fire spells. The knight used the boots and leapt over to the pub. However, he failed to judge where he'd land... Wolfos crashed through the window of the pub and rolled across the floor, knocking tables over and crashing through chairs. He instantly jumped to his feet and threw back the part of his cloak that had been covering left side of his body. And there it was, Blue Shadow, sitting comfortably in its sheath. With his left hand he drew his katana and with his right he brandished Blue Shadow, its silvery-blue blade glowing slightly. He gave the barkeep an apologetic glance and before anyone in the bar could say 'what the hell?!' the two assassins burst through the door, their daggers out and going for Wolfos' throat. Wolf forcefully kicked a table at them, knocking them backwards. He took the chance and ran forward to attack. The assassins got back up and clashed with Wolfos. The knight struggled to keep their blades back with his own. "Can someone help me out here?!" He yelled. He broke from the lock and jumped behind them, scoring a hit on both of them. The one to the left turned and angrily cut across Wolfos face. Wolf recoiled, blood dripping from his new wound. |

Ignoring the newly made mess he decided to stay a while "Barkeep get me some pocky" Nilik looked over at Kayo "So waht do you think of this high level dragon just appearing?" |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Kayo turned around to look at Nilik and shrugged her shoulders. "Me? Well, I think it was just some admin playing around, trying to freak us all out. It wasn't a hacker or anything, as far as I'm concerned. Usually, hackers try to do harm to the system." |
| Boxman Joined: 23 Nov 2003 Posts: 45 | "That would make sense. That admin didn't really seem to care about that dragon as much as if it was a Hacker. And dosent the system just usually get shut down when there is a hacker?" |

"At least the hacker failed this time, if this work was his." he said to no one in particular. |

| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Turning at the sound of his name, he looked to see Nilik standing nearby. He raised an eyebrow at the crazy American role-player.
"Yes?" he asked. "Was there something you wanted?" |
| Boxman Joined: 23 Nov 2003 Posts: 45 | "so you want to go train somewhere?" |
| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | "Unforetunately, I am a much higher level than you, and training would not help me without a likely chance of killing you." He said, his red eyes watching the odd stranger. "However, I can tell you where you might find some decent experience. Come, I shall find you a mission." He turned and began to walk away, and then stopped.
"Oh, and try not to do that whipped cream thing again." he said. "It might attract attention from things you'd rather have nothing to do with." He turned back and began to walk. OOC:3100th post, happy thanksgiving! |
