Now I can definitely see Silk hiring Rufo if Briant doesn't. Now the only question is, how is Rufo going to get close enough to Elaina and get put into a situation where he can suspect that she might not be what she seems? I'm sure they're not strangers, seeing as he is often hired by the Empire, and Elaina's been able to get away with it so far. Yankeirou probably does a fabulous job concealing not only his prescence but the prescence of the different energies and powers she has. Oo!!! Another way to check is just to have Melseme poke around her mind. Then again Melseme does tend to kill the victim, but Yankeirou would probably kick him out or protect her enough that she doesn't die... Yeah, she is terrified of needles, but if she was asked to by the Emperor, she would do it. She would, of course, request that she use her own physician and she would also ask for some privacy. |

Maybe Arkus has always suspected something, but doesn't think of it until he clashes with Xarians again...that will remind him of what you "smell" like, for lack of a better term. And pray that Arkus never finds out about the needles. Ever. |

That will still mean that he'll have to see her, and unless something goes terribly wrong at the facility, Elaina's going to stay on Amra. The place seems to require constant supervsion one way or another, and she is rather reluctant to leave it. Elaina's very, very good about keeping her weaknesses underwraps. How else would she become one of the most feared and powerful females in the Empire? |

True... but will it? Well, you are more than welcome to try, Boots, but I doubt her fear of needles will pop up in the role play. Besides, her sheer loathing of Rufo and her stubborness might just be enough to keep her from cowering in front of him and crying like a little girl. Hopefully she'll faint before it gets too embarrassing. (Way to be original, Boots.) |

You never know...Murphy's Law never allows anything to go as planned...for anyone. Probably not directly. He may just happen to inject someone or somesuch with some drug or another somewhere down the line, because hey, truth drugs assist the charming process. Elaina could be watching and cringe or something reflexive. And, like the evil, evil man he is, Arkus will pounce...like a cat...that's two similes in one sentence. Yeesh. |

So true. Darn you Murphy. I can picture it now. The rebels have gotten away, Elaina comes in to clean up, assess damage and figure out what Briant and Silk did to screw up babysitting some classified information and finds Rufo there. I'm sure Elaina would be thrilled to see him. That might work... It'd be a little more subtle, but if he's paying attention he'll catch it. You're abilities to use literary devices astound me... That's a hyperbole. It's a fun word to write and even more fun to say. |

lol That's funny. Le sigh. I like the book, it's really interesting and the author is intuitive as well as informitive. But it gets a bit dry... 50 pages to go. I should be taking notes but I'm too tired to. |
