"Yeah, sorry for not telling you about, er, Steve's... manner. They called him 'Squirrelly Steve' for a reason. I was just about to make him walk the plank when the dumb ass navigator ran us into the reef." Jenny sighed, and thought for a minute. "No... I think you cleaned me out pretty good. I mainly go after Naval vessels, and they don't usually have anything of value..." |

He was not keen on engaging such a well-armed and skillfully-commanded ship in direct combat -- especially when he had his back to a reef. Still, he didn't seem to have many options if he hoped to get back to sea safely.
"Skirt the reef," he said suddenly. "Skeleton crew below; everyone else watching for dangers." They can't shoot at us if they're chasing us, he thought to himself. OOC: Bleh, just thought I'd post and try to make this thread move a bit more |

Marc smirked, nudging the unconscious body with one foot. "I'll take him, Captain, if you don't need me here," she said, and pushed him across the floor with thta same foot, all but kicking him across the deck and down the stairs toward the brig. He was gonna be sore when he woke up, that was certain, but Marc figured he could use a little toughening up.
She returned in a few minutes, having taken care of Steve. Even if he woke up, he wouldn't be able to get in their way-- which was good, considering the situation. "Skirt the reef?" she repeated. A grin spread over her face as she understood what he was getting at; the Navy ship could either pursue them or shoot them, but not both. "Did you want her in the brig too, Captain?" Judging by the way they were talking, she doubted that the answer would be yes, and she was glad of it-- she liked Jenny, if first impressions were anything to go by. She was tough, and capable... or maybe it was just the idea of having another woman on board. |

Jenny rolled her eyes. "Just shut up and help me stop the bleeding, numbnut. And then sew me up." "A-all right," the Doctor said, giving her a sideways glance. "Are you sure you're fine? You don't need to bite a bullet, or alcohol for the pain?" She turned around, and pulled the collar of her shirt down, revealing a gruesome scar at the base of her neck. "Funny, I can't feel shit since I got this beauty..." Jenny lay herself down on the deck. They took turns applying pressure to the wound, and when it stopped bleeding sufficiently, the doctor began to stitch Jenny up. She raised her head enough to see Frost, then said to him, "That's a pretty good plan. Hopefully the captain will give up and sail away eventually... But things are never that easy, are they?" Jenny turned slightly at Marc's comment. She studied Marc's face, neck, and hands for a second as she spoke, and smiled faintly. Dainty features, small hands, and most importantly, no Adam's apple. It would appear that he's a she. She thought. I'm not going to tell Frost. I did the same myself and nearly got killed for it... I'd rather not chance endangering this poor girl. --- Aiden pounded his fist against the wheel. "Dammit, they're gonna skirt the reef. We fire, or we chase, we can't do both..." He rubbed his temples. "...I need a drink." Suddenly, he got an idea. He looked up at the sails, then licked his finger and held it up to the wind. "New orders! Load the cannons, but don't fire 'em. Tack on a course forty-five degrees away from the ship, towards the open ocean." The mate he gave the message to raised an eyebrow, but ran around and yelled the order throughout the ship. OOC:Aiden's not crazy, he's smart xD He's gonna use the wind to his advantage |
