"I haven't seen that particular summon in a long time." he said to himself. "Wondered where it went..." He focused back to the present and turned to Kari. His glowing blue eyes looked questioningly at her. "Do you know why that thing was after you, Miss Kari?" he asked. OOC: btw...i claim the other bahamut materias. and contain, when we find it. Like dan claimed knights of round. ultima and comet are up for grabs...any takers? |

| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Something triggered in Cloud's mind. Cetra... he thought. He remembered the first time he heard that word. Back 6 or 7 years ago, in the basement of the Shinra mansion in his hometown. But then again, he didn't really hear it...he thought he did, but...that was a story for another time. But Cloud remembered the Cetra.
"Cetra?" he asked, almost bewildered. "An ancient...? But...Aeris was the last one...wasn't she...?" Confused as a person just spun around in the washing machine, Cloud tried to make sense of waht he heard. |

"Stop freaking out," he said flatly in his rich, deep voice. He spoke with authority, overlaid with a hint of annoyance. "She's here, so it's possible. Just accept it. The question we should be asking is, what do you plan to do from now, and," he turned to Kari, "if you need assistance." He added extra emphasis to the word "you," as though implying he only intended to help her. |

Kari put her hands behind her back, grasping her wrists as she rocked back and forth on the heels of her feet. "Well, maybe they're after me for the same reason that they were after my sister. It could be because I'm, really, the last ancient. Aeris claimed to be the last Cetra to protect me. Yet somehow, Shin-Ra found out about me and well, as you can see, I'm on the run." |
