She peered at the sleeping monarchs who were unaware of her presence. (sp?) Then she slipped her hand into her pocket, pulled out some incense and lit it after tying a cloth over her mouth and nose. The incense would encourage the queen and king to stay alsleep. Okay then, the assassin thought to herself. Grab the book, get out, get paid. Now where is it? She crept through the room looking for the leather bound treasure. |

As the incence first filled the room the king and queen caughed and rolled around. The king got up and sat up in bed, reaching over to his nightstand to get a drink of water. He looked around the room and fell asleep, not even noticing the strange smell in the room. As Jezebel looked around the king sized roomOOC:get it haha she saw five bookcases, each filled to the brim with books. This would take a while if she did not know what she was looking for, but it was somewhere in this room. |

Her heart had skipped a beat, and didn't return to a normal pace until she heard the king's slow and even breaths. She swept over to the bookshelves, and skimmed over each one. There were many books and practically all of them were leather bound. Wonderful, thank you ever so much for the detailed description, Jezebel thought sarcastically to her employer. Then she carefully studied each shelf, but there weren't any particular books that seemed to stand out. She began to run her fingers over the bindings, and reading the titles. |

Her hand had become wet while she was searching for the book, but there was no water around. As she looked to see what had happened her black outfit now had stains of red on it. One of the books had razorblades on it and Jezebel's hand went right over them. This was the only book that stood out in any way, the rest of them were all leather bound. |

She turned back to the book, and glared at it. Stupid book, she thought, as she gingerly eased the book off its shelf, wrapped it in cloth and slipped it into the leather bag slung over her shoulder. Carefully, she wiped up her blood off the shelf and floor, and filled the empty space with a volume that looked similar; making sure no sign of her midnight visit would be noticed immediately. Finally, she was ready to leave, and she bowed down low to the sleeping monarhs. Thank you for the book, Your Majesties, she thought. Pleasant dreams.
The young woman tossed her bag through the hole in the ceiling, and jumped up after it. She stopped to put her boots, cape, sword and her belt and tunic back on and continued on her way through the dark passage. Finally, she reached the end and after making sure the coast was clear Jezebel left the castle and its grounds. In the shadows of the palace walls she rested for a few minutes. The young woman stared at the bag as if she could see the book through the leather and cloth that concealed it. The urge to examine the book closer was strong, but she didn't wish to be cut again. Therefore, she had to satisfy herself by merely contemplating what made the book so valuable on her way back to the warehouse. Remembering the curfew, Jezebel stayed in the shadows and avoided patrols that roamed the streets. |

Right as Jezebel ducked behind a tree a patrol of four guards came past her. They seemed to be talking about the strange smells coming from the king and queens room.
The rest of the trip back she met no guards, just a few cloaked people walking very swiftly, cutting through the shadows. Jezebel's hand had stopped bleeding, but the cloth she put on it was soaked through. She heard footsteps behind her as she was walking back to the ware house. She stopped at cornors to see if the person would keep walking, but as she stopped so did her follower. She did not yet turn around, not wanting to alert her pursuer of her awarness. |

She began walking again, but when she came to the fork in the road she took the road that would lead her to the temple instead of the warehouse. As the young woman stopped at the temple steps , she was well aware that she was drenched in the moonlight. The temple loomed over the assassin, and looked forbidding at night. The young woman had often heard it said that the temple doors were left open to give sanctuary to the weary and lost souls. Perhaps she would be able to lose her pursuer inside and walk out unnoticed. Slowly, she walked up the steps, and paused before she slipped inside. |

Her pursuer had stopped right when they entered the light. Her follower then went around through the trees so that he was right in front of Jezebel, but hidden in the trees. As he got closer to the temple his footsteps were heard less often, the temple having effect on Jezebel's pursuer. |

Jezebel thought to herself. She was able to see the distorted shadow, and hear her pursuers footsteps. The assassin did not like being delayed, but she'dhave to wait this person, or whatever, out. Keeping her hood up to at least hide her face, she knelt inside the temple, and appeared to be praying. Her breathing became even and slow, as if in meditation, yet instead of shutting out her surroundings, and she became intune with them. The footsteps sounded loud in her quiet world, and she could feel the vibrations from each step. With her eyes closed, she knew precisely where her follower was. Jezebel waited in the moonlit temple, for her shadow to either go or reveal himself, or for the dawn. It had become a waiting game. I hate waiting. |

["Do not worry about that, those in line with god can sometimes read peoples thoughts like a book. Well if you don't have a deity there are many courses of choice. You may just pray to Yuhandra and keep your non-deity or you may choose from the many gods. It is your choice and your choice only, nobody can make it for you and the choice must be from the heart. Veraxia waited for Hitatsu to make his choice of prayer, or to find a god to suit him.] "Very well." Hitatsu nodded and agreed briefly. Before he started to kneel and pray, he gave a long gaze to the statue of the shrine in front of him, as if waiting for a guidance. It was a statue of Yuhandra, which collected dust and rust by the ages yet gave a fiery-golden look by the temple lighting. For a second, Hitatsu thought he saw an illusion that the goddess was frowning. Oddly enough, he was willing to give this hallucination a chance of reason. He contemplated by this illusion that there was trouble in the world that needed help, any help from adventurers in the likes of himself, and decided that he will someday volunteer to take part in that help. Then he began praying. Hitatsu's forehead dropped deep and his thick eyebrows both sank in concentration. In his prayer there was more than the blackness he saw behind his closed eyes; perhaps his mind was tricking him. He saw an epic battle between Yuhandra and another deity, which seemed to posses an aura that held a power strong as her's. Terrible horns jutted out from Yuhandra's opponent, who let out a blood-red stare in his eyes and whose feet stalked with flames in each step. The fierce battle continued with blocks and thrusts and dodges and yells, but it concluded to no victory in either side. As Hitatsu continued to see these visions, his deep wound interrupted, having not forgotten to collect Hitatsu's attention again. As soon as Hitatsu awoke from his prayer he grudged for his injury. He was surprised by the fact that he realized it was already night time and Veraxia was nowhere in his sight. He waited for his pain to get better and then started walking around the temple again. He left the healers' chambers and walked around the temple main hallway, searching for Veraxia but instead having found Jezebel praying near the entrance. He kept distance to her and studied her carefully, for if a fight was to break out, he would be handicapped by his injury. To Hitatsu, Jezebel was only another hooded woman and he was clueless about her occupation, or who she was. "Hello there miss," Hitatsu introduced. "Uh... have you happen to know where priestess Veraxia went? I'm a bit lost you see." Hitatsu made sure that his tone was voice sounded as polite as possible. |

Her shadowed face looked the stranger up and down quickly. Seeing that he was impaired, thus unable to be much of an immediate threat, she relaxed. "I fear I do not, for I just barely entered the temple," she said, her voice had become musical and calm. "I apologize for not being much help. Is there anything I may do to be of service?" She slowly stood, reaching out with her senses to try and find her pursuer. Blast it, she thought, vexed that she was unable to. Inside, she was boiling with a mixture of fear and anger, but her exterioir kept its serene air.

Hitatsu's lowly voice echoed throughout the narrow halls, as his head tilted down in depression. He began reaching for his wounds again and sighed, "You needn't worry about me. There's not much life left in this one anyways..." He drifted himself up in a corner wall and leaned against it, facing the outside. "But I value the days i still have beyond me, even it may not mean much. Look, the moon..." His eyes gathered up. "It's full tonight. Isn't it wonderful?" Hitatsu chuckled. He stirred his dazy eyes to view the landscape, while taking deep breaths in between. The night was long and awfully silent; the cries of crickets grew weary.
"Have I introduced myself to you yet? My name is Hitatsu... but I guess it is a name that won't be remembered for long." Hitatsu then rested in his half-shut eyes. |

She was unable to remember the last time she saw the soft glowing heveanly sphere, and thought it to be beautiful. A full moon was a nuissance in her line of work, but the view from the temple was stunning. "Lovely," she murmured, arranging her hood to shadow her face.
Hitatsu... she studied him again. He seemed to be in a depression, and with wounds like his, who would not? However, he seemed to be trying to achieve a peace within himself; a peace that could never be hers. "Since you gave me your name, I shall give you mine. I am Anarwyn," the assassin lied easily. |

The shadow in the trees seemed to blend into its surroundings and now was almost not there. The shadow kept moving from one tree to another, each jump getting closer to the wounded man, and meditating woman. The shadow stayed clear of the temples light for that was to holy for this shadow. The shadow jumped to the top of the trees where it sat for a while, watching its prey. As it landed on the tree leaves fell from the branches, making noise as the fell to the ground infront of Jezebel and Hitatsu. The stained glass windows of the temple seemed to be changing, as the town clock rang midnight. The windows resembled more of a shield now. There was a shield, sword, stake, and cross in the window, and each seemed to float around making a strange shadow behind Jezebel and Hitatsu. OOC:I hope this is good, Its getting better |

She was just barely able to see the outline of someone, in one of the trees. The young woman pulled her cloak together, and silently loosend the blade from its sheathe.
"Hitatsu," she said in a casual manner. " You should go inside, now. This night air is not good for you." Jezebel was completely unaware of the strange changes that were happening inside the temple. Her complete focus was on whoever had been following her. |
