OOC:If this Vivec is in Morrowind/Vvardenfell, I'm going to have a lot of fun. I've played that game to death. Almost. It's also a port city, which makes Souji's existince easier to explain. In case it's not, wandering samarai time. I gather that it's night, from previous posts.

Souji calmly walked to the large main gates of Vivec city. The young samarai wore dark blue pants and a light green robe over a brown shirt, although it all blended to shades of gray in the soft glow of moonlight and nearby torches. His sandals crunched in the gravel on the main road as he approached the gate. He stood out from other travellers, due to his manner of dress and the katana and wakizashi worn at his hip. His time f arrival might also be considred unusual.

He carried a small backpack containing his personal effects slung over one shoulder, and wore a large straw hat, despite the burgeoning night. His long white hair hung in a ponytail, which stirred in the slight breeze and glinted in the moonlight.

OOC:No just the name is from Morrowind, the city is very different+ I just bought Fable which is trillions of times better than Morrowind

As Souji walked into the still buisy city of Vivec he noticed that the sun was down, yet trade still happened. The city was always open. As Souji took his first steps in the city he was stopped by two gaurds wearing tatered leather armour, with steel pikes and daggers as weapons.

"Whats your buisness here?" Questioned the uneasy guard

OOC:Good thing I didn't go with my assumptions, then.

Souji stopped before the guards, and lifted the brim of his hat, allowing it to fall onto his back and lending a better view of his face. He regarded the guard who had addressed him with cool, blue-grey eyes. "I am Kakita Souji, samarai of the Crane clan," he said and bowed slightly. "I have heard that this city has been having problems with local warlords, and wish to offer my assistance, to win honor for myself and my lord."

"Ok then, you may pass but remember Justice Never Sleeps."OOC:had to say that

The guard pointed to a tavern "There, that is a good place for recruitment in the army, but if you are looking for "other" work just listen."

The guard pointed to a tavern with a poor looking outside, the brick almost crumbling away. The streets were buisy and many yells of trade could be heard.

Robbery... figures, but money is money, Jezebel thought to herself as the man continued to ramble on about the book. She was careful not to show her slight annoyance on her face. The king's manor was child's play the last time she payed a visit. "I accept," she said cooly, her steely eyes flashed. "Now what does this book look like?" The faster I get started, the sooner I'll be done.

"Thank you," Souji said to the guard. With nowhere better to go, he made his way to the tavern and stepped inside. OOC:Sorry for the short post, but it's usually the DM's job to describe new places. That, and I'm not feeling creative at the moment.

OOC:Hey no offense but this is my forum and I felt like describing poorly and confusingly :(

Now inside Souji smelled the regular scent of ale and food. He saw very little, as their were few lit lanterns and all of the windows were closed up. He could see the bartable, circular wooden tables and a long rectangular table that there were many people around. There was a small banner on the rectangular table, it showed the Vivec flag. The room looked like it was well built, beeing that he couldnt see a thing.

"Ok this is a normal looking book, it is leather bound and may have some inscriptions on the case, but other than that it is normal. You will find it in the kings bedroom as I said, but he has moved it since I was last there. If you need anything I will supply you, and here is a map. Just one thing, do not open the book, I repeat do not open the book, you may not see another thing again if you do. If you have any questions or need any equiptment just talk to me."

Jezebel took the map and tucked it away into one of her many pockets. "The book is as good as yours," she answered. "I do not require anything else, so I shall take my leave." The young woman gave a quick nod, turned and left the room and the strange man.

OOC:Meh, no offense taken. I've done the same thing at times.

Souji approached the large rectangular table and waited for one of the people there to notice him. Perhaps they'd be able to help him help the city. Or at least tell him where he should go.

OOC:I play Morrowind too... or used to, I mean. I have a level 42 sitting in my memory card, gathering dust.

Hitatsu told in his kneeled position, "Hah, I didn't believe in any of the deities until now. I always thought they were all heretics and tricksters, but you've convinced me by your cordiality that I shall pray for Yuhandra your Godess. Well... I once did work for an immortal named Dagon Fel, but that was long ago and is over now." Hitatsu now closed his eyes and shaped a praying hand, trying to communicate with the Godess.

"Yuhandra of passage and health, show mercy to me. My humble body's wounds are deep and is in need of your powers. A work of mysterious force has claimed my status today. I can only plead you, please pity me and give aid to my burden."

As Hitatsu finished chanting these words, he gave a deep bow to the statue which stood in front of him.

OOC:Wow. A record. Looks like you'll have to respond to all three of us in a single post. You're on a roll Mike.

OOC:It's sad... that how everytime I post in a D&D forum, nobody else chooses to post accordingly and it becomes a Mike-Jae back-and-forth forum. At least I think...

Response To Amber's Post:

As Jezebel left the warehouse the man looked at her with hope. Selyts tried to come with Jezebel, but she refused, for she worked by herself. The darkness had now taken over the town and the streets were empty, save for the few guards. As Jezebel walked in the Castles generall direction one of the patrolling guards walked over to her.
"Hello miss, are you lost? There is a curfew on this town, you do know that, right?" Questioned the tired guard

Response to Souji's Post:

The recruiters at the table quickly saw the man and started to ask questions.
"Do you want to sign up for the Royal Army? There are many benefits, and chances to gain rank quickly. If you are interested just talk and sign up." The recruiters said this quickly, because they had said this all day.

Response to Jae's Post:

"The gods listen to those in need." This was all the healer said as Hitatsu prayed.

"Hitatsu, you will be granted your wish, I just need your trust, that is all." Spoke Yuhandra the goddess.

Hitatsu could feel his body weakening as he sat here, if he did not do something soon he would be in great pain. He started to lose his sight, almost blacking out during the prayer, but he kept his counsecness(cant spell) throughout the prayer, guided by Yuhandra.

Blast it! "I am afraid I am," Jezebel lied easily, making her voice sound like she was near tears. She was thankful to the shadows that hid her face and the cloak that concealed her weapons. "I was to visit my cousin, she works in the castle, and this- this city is just so big. It looks so different at night. I-" the assassin gave a small sniff. "I feel so silly... could you perhaps...give me directions?"

"Oh of course maam, thats what us guards are for. Please follow me and I will lead you in to the Castle's lobby, from there you can find your way." So the guard lead the woman right into the Castle, unknowingly that she was a spy. The Castle was gaily decorated with tapestries of purple, yellow and some neutral colours, this showed their royalty.

"Here you are maam, I hope you find your cousin." The unknowing guard then left Jezebel right were she wanted to be. The lanterns had started to be put out and the people had made their way to their beds. There were no other guards in the lobby now because they were all patrolling other areas. The Castle was open to Jezebel, she just needed to do her job without being seen.

OOC:i'll save us a little time by just getting to the king's bedroom.

Jezebel gave a small smirk as the gaurds left, and then her face became serious. She pulled out the map and quickly looked it over to refresh her memory, and stashed it away again. The spy slipped swiftly behind one of the tapetries and opened a door that looked like the wall. When she closed the door behind her it was pitch black, but she knew where the passage led; right where she wanted to be. The king's bedroom. Keeping one hand on the wall, Jezebel crept silently along. Finally, after what semed to be forever, she felt an impression in the wall, she was almost there. The young assassin removed her boots, cape, sword and her belt and tunic, so it would be easier to maneuver silently and quickly. The, on her hands and knees, she crawled over to where she knew of a small door that allowed her to drop into the king's bedroom. Opening it a crack, she peered down into the monarhy's chamber.

OOC:ok that works

As Jezebel looked down she noticed that there was no king, or queen there, but a room filled with at least ten guards. All of the guards were searching the room for anything. They looked under the bed, behind the pictures, out the windows, and they were making their way twoards Jezebels little spot. Right as one of the guards took interest in the crack in the wall the king and queen walked in. All of the guards, save one, left at the royalties entry.

"You may go as well, we will be good tonight." Spoke the king to the royal guard.

The king and queen disrobed and put on their night clothes. The large bed's blankets ruffled as they lied down into the soft bed. They said good night to each other as they fell asleep from a hard days work. The room was empty of conciuess(cant spell) souls, for it twas night and all that remain was a room full of stuff.
