Maybe he was not so advanced as the Xarians but he was by far more clever; few beat his tactics in the full.
Walking random hallways and failing to respond to those who bowed as he passed, he found himself in the prison hall. And therein he refound the rogue Queen. "Well, good afternoon," Valkier spoke from the cell's door. He refused to look in. "How are you holding up?" |

She turned her eyes back to the window and watched the stars go by. "Is there somethin g you'd like from me?" she asked, not removing her eyes from the window. After a moment, she stood up and walked to the door and leaned on it, her back facing the window of the door.
Akari really didn't know what he could want with her. From her treatment since she arrived, it had been obvious he no longer needed an heir or Queen for that matter, so she didn't see what her point was anymore. Her plan had failed. |

"Damnit!" he said, frustrated beyond measure. How could he have let the last Xarian get captured by Valkier? He should have...urgh...He couldn't think. He pounded his fist into the ship's hull several times before his hand started to hurt. "Valkier," he spat, "If I can be Falcone to it, you are gonna enter a living hell..." The Tiershaa emperor had taken away all of Hawkes friends, his family, and he wasn't going to stop until he had it all. Hawkes hit the control panel once and a mechanical voice spoke. "All systems operational. Electromagnetic pulse bomb armed and ready." Hawkes gave the computer a withering look, but it didnt' seem to care. Hawkes had got up and had begun to walk away when he stopped. "E.M.P..." he said softly. He swiftly checked to see if the cloaking function was still operational and he was in luck, it was. He picked up his comlink. "O.K., boys," he said, "I got a plan. But only my ship can go, no other ship has the cloak. The rest of you are to stay here, is that understood?" "Yes sir, but-" "No! You are staying here until I return. If we're not back in 48 hours, you can leave. No questions asked. Got it? Farewell." And with that, he activated cloak and threw his engines into full ahead. |

These accomadations are meant for those who are to be launched into the void of space as a ceremonial execution" he said and noted the slight twinge in her figure at the sound of his idea of execution.
"This cell will not do you any good. So I will have you moved to a better one. However, you will be sharing it with a another prisoner. But don't worry, she's harmless...I think" SUddenly, the doors slid open and Akari nearly fell into Valkier's coat. From there, he drew his two guns, his customized LongShot energy pistols and put one to her stomach and the other to the back of her head. "Make one false move and my hospitatlity will flee," Valkier sneered. "I will take you to your room. It is royally furnished and you will find it to your liking. But, you're still a prisoner" |

The agony was slowly becoming too much. Falcone sensed his mind slipping from him as he edged closer across the border between himself and insanity. He could no longer even hope to hear his own thoughts, and yet somehow he could think. It was garbled and many times slower than normal, but his thoughts existed. He could not explain them or repeat them -- even if the stone were removed from his presence -- but nevertheless, some thoughts -- perhaps "emotions" is better -- fought through. The first was that there must be some way to fight it. This was a primative thought, true, but the fact that he could render his emotions into something resembling comprehension was good enough. The problem, however, was developing this thought into something useful. Therein lied the problem. This whole train of "thought" took perhaps half an hour to complete, although that measure of time was definately unknown to Falcone. Suddenly, clarity. While it was not the clarity that he knew from before, his mind was still clearer than it had been in what seemed like an eternity. Why was his mind so clear? The stone was still there; for the first time in a millenia, it seemed, he could see the stone once again. Akari? He sent out a broad-ranged telepathic message, not bothering to focus it on one reciever as he probably didn't have time. Why bother, anyway? There were no other Xarians in existance anymore. As Falcone sent this message, he felt as though his head had been stuffed with cotton. The message came out slow, as through thick soup, sounding much like an old record when the player was slowly dying. But that didn't matter. He had sent a message after ages of not even being able to put together comprehensible thought. He tried to send another, hoping to broadcast his location with it. I'm over -- he began, but was interrupted. The gripping pains of insanity once more plagued his mind, as the migrane to end all migranes returned. Even still, he felt a weak connection remained open. The message was still being sent, but slowly and by no means in real time. With every ounce of his being, he struggled to keep this pathway open; the door had been opened, and though it was being shut again, he'd put his foot in the crack and was not about to remove it. OOC: for the sake of things staying in the right order, we'll say that the first thing he "said" transmitted slowly, so you can recieve it just now |

The Queen wasn't exactly sure what the insane emperor counted as a fasle move, but she merely nodded. "Alright." she said, quietly. When she breathed in, Akari winced; he reeked of a powerful cologne. She began to breathe out of her mouth as they made their way down numerous hallways. Suddenly, something shot through Akari's mind. She shouted in pain, dropping to the floor in front of Valkier. It felt like the migrane she had felt from the stone previously, but only a mere fraction. Her eyes watered; she felt a certain warmth in her heart. Falcone!?, she wondered. By now, Akari was far too weak and mentally drained to be able to attempt speaking to Falcone. Drops of sweat fell from her forehead and onto the floor beneath her as she lay kneeling in front of Valkier. |

Oh no, he thought to himself. What if it was happening? Damn, he knew the stone was a bad idea. That look on her face, it matched her expression when under the influence of the stone. But, the stone was in his jacket and under wraps. What was happening!? |

| Vern_5 Joined: 31 May 2005 Posts: 212 | Not bothering to move, Valkier met the sweeping leg without a hitch. Actually, Akari's supple leg struck his shin without any real impact at all. It was just...there. But Valkier did not like what Akari was trying. Gruffly, he picked her up by her hair.
"Nice try, Queen," Valkier growled. "Too nice" |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Akari winced; she felt stupid for attempting to strike him down. She should've realized that she was in no condition to even be walking, more or less try attacking a fully grown man who was considerably larger than she. Tears welled at the corners of her eyes as he pulled on her silky hair. "Let... let go!" she shouted, pushing away from him. She fell onto the floor, and scrambled to her feet, stepping away from him so that there were a good few feet between the two. |

"Let's continue this tour, I'd hate to have you bleeding all over the furniture in your new cell," said Valkier monotonously. "Just turn around and start walking. I'll tell you where to stop" |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Angry, Akari decided to agree for the time being. She behaved and walked down the hall, waiting until he told her to stop. When at last he did, she stopped and took a few steps back, purposefully bumping into the emperor with a decent amount of force in an attempt to knock him to the ground. |
| Vern_5 Joined: 31 May 2005 Posts: 212 | Finally, they reached Akari's new cell, brilliantly furnished just as he had promised. However, everything was in a bloody shade of gold and crimson. without a second thought, he pushed her in where she flailed onto a couch.
"Take some rest," Valkier said warmly. "Your roomate will be here shortly...oh wait, nevermind. She's dead. Ha! I guess you'll be alone for now..." Valkier paused in thought before shaking his head and walking back to the bridge. |

| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Akari fell onto the plush couch, glaring over at Valkier icily. "Go find yourself a wench to rape, Valkier." she shouted, hoping he'd hear. Frustrated, Akari laid down upon the couch and thought. She wished she knew where Falcone was and what he'd tried to tell her before. Hopefully the others are alright... I hope they got away safely... she wondered, smiling at the hopes they'd be home safely with their families.
After a few minutes, the exhausted queen could no longer keep her eyes open, and she fell asleep. |
