Motionless, he lowered his hand that he gestured to her. Blinked, his optics softened once again as the woman now walked past his figure. Her aura expressed pain, as if she had lost someone.
No... She DID lose someone. Someone close to her. "You should of paid attention and minded your tongue!" He thought to himself, a light frown expressed into his pale facial complexions. The sting and shrill sound emitted from the slap did not burden him, as he tilted his head to one side. He then turned his head, glancing from the corner of his eye to see her concealing herself. She was stubborn, but in a good way, though she seemed not to even understand herself. It was too late to apologize. He then turned his head to look away from her, his eyes leaving her presence out of his vision. He then glanced to the concrete of the stairs, turning himself about towards he, he slowly took to his strides down the stairs to sit himself down on the same step she was, only a foot distance was between them. He didn't mind being in arms reach of her, knowing that whatever else she'd try was the thinking and acting of a human. He placed the bandaging cloth beside her, then brought up his hands to set on his knees, which were propped up due to the sizings of the steps. He then slowly parted his lips to speak, "...I too... had-" His head snapped up at attention, his eyes rapidly grew sharp to the familiar presence. It was Kyphus. "He must of sensed me while I transformed." He thought to himself, his teeth clenching within his mouth. "This is not the proper time for a fight, but no worries. He will soon find my new power a little overbearing to himself...." His mind spoke to himself, knowing that he would not face defeat, nor a draw this time. He then stood, wiping his hands together as his optics glanced at the distant figure of Kyphus running at him. His hands rests at his sides only to clench and shake as an inhumanly amount of adrenaline pumped through his blood stream. |
| Vern_5 Joined: 31 May 2005 Posts: 212 | Kyphus, running like a jackal, finally came to a screeching halt. The sound of metal tearing against concrete was brain-numbing but Kyphus found it to his liking. Before him stood Odakira and, by the looks of his old combatant, he was bracing for a fight.
Kyphus made his last leap and landed mere inches from Odakira's being. At his full standing height, Kyphus loomed over the Vampire as his eyeless head searched the frayed mind of his adversary. Then he slowly poised a clawed hand, pulling it back at a decreasing pace. Odakira merely crackled with energy, not outwardly, but inwardly he was like a generator. Claws retracted, bronzed skin showed and Kyphus gave the Vampire a staggeringly friendly slap on the shoulder. "Well well, look who survived the scissor Katars!" Kyphus laughed maniacally. "I would say 'I am amazed' but I seem to have lived through your idea of brain surgery as well; your nothing special" |

He opened his clenched hand to the side where the lady had sat, and motioned for her to move back. He let out a sigh and lowered his head, a small grin coming across his pale face.
"Yes, it seems so." He said, his tone seeming dominant and fortuded to Kyphus' figure. "So, what brings you back here? A rematch perhaps?" He asked, his vocals expressed a tone that seemed unwilling to another duel, but intimidating for an answer. His body remained motionless, his expression unchanged as his lips came together at the ending of his voice, forming the frown he once poised again. Suddenly, his presence emitted a low, black, aura. His power though stayed at his usual level that Kyphus had seen. It was just a display of strength, and anger. Instinct more so, for he did not wish to fight once again. The aura hurled about him slowly, seeming to have no affect to anything whatsoever, just a reaction to danger as it comes. "Another thing..." He spoke out, his vocals unchanged. "You didn't come here to say that, what is it you are looking for?" He demanded, his mouth broadened slightly as the fangs and teeth of his clenched ocne again. |
| Vern_5 Joined: 31 May 2005 Posts: 212 | Kyphus twitched his head to the side ever so slightly. To think, the Vampire's anger at the strange outcome of their last fight would last this long!
"Hah! You take my behavior as a prelude to another battle?" Kyphus grinned. "I have much more pressing matters in my mind and you're not one of them." -Kyphus paused in a limited moment of thought- "Actually, maybe you could be of some use. You see, I was sent by an Italian Assassin's guild to track a notorious murderer who turns out to be a Vampire. My only lead is that he was heading in this general direction and a town like this would attract his attention. He's a big guy and red; you can't miss him. Also, he smells heavily of gunpowder. So, since your the only Vampire I know you would be the most likely to know who I'm talking about" |

His hands unfolded from their clenched forms, one coming up to brush away some of his hair from his golden optics, the darkened aura about him soon faded into the wind. His tone soft once again.
"I see." As he let his hand rest to his side, his usual grin swiped about his face. "This vampire you talk about must be none other than the great Alucard, am I right?" His head tilted to one side, his aura and thoughts seemed to have been cleared instantaneously from the mere event of their last encounter. Business is business after all. A quiet yet deep chuckle escaped his mouth as he spoke out. "If you were sent to kill such a man, God be with you. I hear the man is indestructible. After all, he has the blood of Vladimir himself coarsing through his veins." His hand came up to pat the metallic form of Kyhpus' shoulder, almost in a friendly gesture as Kyphus did unto him. "I would decline the mission while you still have the chance my friend, he is far more a greater vampire I am, though I have my differences even both Hellsing and the Order knows of..." His tone seemed eerie, mysterious in its wording, but then it came to a more soothing vocalization as he opened his mouth again. "I apologize for the mistake of your approach Kyphus. In a way, it seems that it is good to meet you again." To this, his head bowed slightly to the beastly figure, "Sad to say, I too have other plans to attend to, so if you'll excuse me..." He rose, his feet shifted onto the concrete below to turn away from his, his eyes were closed as he walked over to the lady, a reassuring smile about his face. "Nevermind about him..." He spoke in almost a whisper to the woman, "He wasn't here for trouble, he has business he must attend to." |

If he had come to her an hour or so earlier, she may have cowered in fear, at the very least, but by this time she felt too exhausted and had seen enough that his presence did not frighten her as much. At least he’s not a living corpse, she thought to herself.
Helen sat still as stone, and ignored the vampire’s gestures telling her to stand back. This new person, or… Kyphus, did not seem to notice her, so she figured if she stayed as still and as silent as possible, her presence would continue to go unnoticed. She peered at him curiously, and realized he was not only blind, but his eyes were altogether absent. These two obviously new each other and they did not seem to be on the best of terms. She followed the conversation in silence as she looked from the Vampire to Kyphus as each spoke. Helen then realized that Jo-jo was unusually quiet, so glanced at her feet and then she smiled warmly. The pup laid at her feet with his eyes closed, and his chest rising and falling slowly. The comfort the sight was amazing, like a small flame in the darkness. In the company of these Children of the Night, she felt odd, weak, insignificant, and hopelessly ignorant. If any of the two saw fit to kill her, she would not stand a chance, especially in her present state. Yet, she sat as still as ever, and listened, and hoped to learn more about this Alucard. She found herself disappointed thought when the Vampire abruptly finished the conversation. Her weary head whirled with even more questions than before. Helen looked up at him, and cocked her head slightly to one side while her green eyes burned with curiosity. “Who are you?” she asked softly. It was merely the first of many questions that yearned to be answered, but it also seemed to be the most important. |

He remained silent a moment, the back of his head began to read her thoughts in the dark mind of his. His eyes sharpened to see into her cortex of a brain. Finding that she was just curious, and had no clue whatsoever to bigger things that loomed ahead. After the silence, he smiled, he then leaned forward to a bow, his dark hair faling over his face as he spoke out in his soft, yet thundering voice.
"Forgive me, but my name is Odakira..." He declared, bringing himself up to look amongst the girl again as he stood in front of her. His index finger came up to point up at the bandages beside her, sarcastically yet jokingly he spoke, "And I know who you are, you're Hurt." As he lowered his finger, his head tilted to one side as he spoke in a commanding, yet still harmonical vocalization. "You need to mend your injuries if you won't let me." |

That small buzzing… Helen thought as it disappeared as quickly as it came. Last time, she barely noticed it, and excused it as her mind’s way to tell her she was tired. She wondered why the Vampire took so long to tell her his name. It was as if he expected her to have some ulterior motive.
Dramatic one, isn’t he? Helen thought to herself, and she gave a small amused smile slightly as he bowed. But he has a terrible sense of humor. She looked down at her injured hand. The moonlight reflected off the blood, but there were still plenty of splinters in her hand from the old cross. They would have to be taken out before the bandages were applied, or her hand would become infected. From above her feet look fine, except for the small pools of blood they were sitting in. In fact, there was a small trail of blood on the ground that marked where she had been. The soles of her feet were seriously beginning to bother her. It was from all the dirt and everything else that she picked up mixing with the blood from the cuts she received from running down the streets of London. They would have to be treated with iodine to clean them out. She did not look forward to taking care of her feet at all, but she could take care of her hand first. “Do you have a pair of tweezers, Odakira?” Helen asked politely as she took the bandages with her uninjured hand and set them in her lap. “There are splinters in my hand, and I’ll need to remove them before I wrap it.” |

"No. There is no need for that..." He spoke, his voice seeming full of pride as he was about to display a small notion of his powers.
The blue light stretched out in a stream of smoke, engulfing her injured hand. He then lifted his hand up to about eye level, as he did so, the splinters in her hand slid underneath the skin it penetrated, moving precisely to not tear the skin further, causing no pain as well. When they became removed, they floated over the palm of her hand about a centimeter from it. He then motion his hand a little to the side, the splinters shot out to the left at a downward angle where he gestured. Flying and penetrating themselves to the ground below. "I don't have anything that will stop infection..." He said, as he lowered his hand, the blue hue fading into the air of the night. "But I am quite sure that there is a first-aid kit inside..." He pointed over to the building of the Hellsing Organization. "If I bring her in, hopefully I won't get into any trouble. I have only just arrived, and are of no need of anything getting me canned..." He thought to himself, his face hiding his troubles with a reluctant smile and soft glowing optics. "Oh well, tonight has been a litle strange already." |

I do hope your not talking about me because 'strange' is less than apt," Kyphus talked over Odakira's shoulder. "As for a medical kit, I'm sure I have one on or in my person.
Reaching behind his waist to touch a small compartment built into his metallic exterior, Kyphus revealed a complete, although small, medical kit. Swiftly and surely, Kyphus pulled what seemed like an extremely tiny syringe from the little kit and began squeezing air from the tube. Within the Syringe was a dark material, ominous looking stuff. But, Kyphus knew from experience that the liquid could cure most ills, fatal or otherwise. "Now, I'm going to inject this into your hand. It'll itch a bit at first but your wounds should heal expediantly without signs of infection," Kyphus explained. "Then, I will accompany both of you into the building; I may have use for a place like this if Alucard is as dangerous as you say..." |

"I did not mean any offense." Lowering his head slightly. He then looked to the lady to view her expression, studying them as Kyphus gave her the medical attention she needed, though overall it wasn't all that bad an injury. As Kyphus spoke out about the 'accompaniment', he rose to look at where his eyes should of been. His own sharpening once again as he spoke out, his voice seeming demading. "Hey now, I don't want or have anything between you and Alucard, understood? I just got transferred from the Teutonic Order to this place, and I don't wish to be on bad grounds with an Elite Vampire, nor the organization itself." He lowered his tone, his vocals became deep, yet foreboding to the words he would speak, "If you wish to continue this mission, you're on your own, I won't stop you. I see it as a fair duel with you and Alucard, not an attack on the organization itself. Let it be known though that if you do attack the organization..." He said as he brought up a hand to move some hair that got into his eyes, his smile had long since faded into a frown, "I will take it personally and take you out, understood Kyphus?" He did not feel it was right to do so to a 'new found' friend, I guess you could say. But he couldn't let this give himself a bad name to the Organization, or to the Order. Even for a lowly Creature of the Night, he too had a reputation to stick up to. Already have had settled his difference's with Kyphus, he did not care about him and Alucard's fight whatsoever, but if it led to an attack on the Organization, he could be stripped, and hunted down as a criminal in the eyes of the Round Table Conference group. |

Needles… she felt her stomach churn and she bit her lip as the very little color she had left drained from her face. Now she wished she was back in the grasp of the vampire from earlier. Heck, let Odakira throw me back to those walking corpses!! She knew it was childish and that she should have gotten over this fear of syringes a long time ago, but well, she never got around to it. She shuddered a little bit and held her hand close to her person. She did not hear any of the conversation Odakira and Kyphus was having because her heart was beating to loudly.
“Um… M-Mr. Kyphus,” she stuttered, her eyes never left the ominous looking needle. “I’m sure it can wait. It isn’t that bad at all.” |

His head then tilted slightly in curiousity as to why she was acting that way. Humans are strange. It's different when you're born a vampire, you never really understand the reasons for a human's actions at first, but then you do as you encounter them.
"Lady, you are hurt, and you'll need some sort of medical attention..." He said softly, his voice cutting into her mind with persuasion, almost charming and hypnotic as he uses a small portion of his telepathic powers to persuade her. He walked over to her and picked her up onto her feet, bracing her up again with one arm around her and another bringing the arm he was under around his neck. His hand firmly grasped the wrist of the arm that was around him. His touch was conforming to her, but cold still. He slowly turned and faced towards the direction of Kyphus, he nodded his head to him to notify that he could give it to her. He turned his head afterwards and leaned over to the girl, whispering softly into her ears. His vocals emitting a soft and harmonical tone, filled with passion and seduction. "Do not worry... This won't hurt, trust me." His lips closed, a small and reassuring smile then spread acrossed his face. |
| Vern_5 Joined: 31 May 2005 Posts: 212 | Kyphus looked up from the hand in question to glance the woman in the eye and mind, although he lacked one or both. He saw fear, terrible fear, the kind that spawned nightmares leading to midnight screaming. Was it of him: a half-dead beast of metal and flesh, a damned husk of his former self? Then again, notcing the way her eyes registered the needle, Kyphus realized he was mistaken.
"I see that needles are not to your liking," Kyphus smiled assuringly. "In that case I have a better idea" Packing away the needle, he placed one gloved, bladeless hand over the wounds, effectively concealing it. Then, a the sounds of whirring and the crackle of electricity followed. Kyphus withdrew his hand. The hand it once covered was painlessly and seemlessly repaired. "Before I became this grotesque monster of steel and wiring you see before you," said Kyphus. "I was once a ship surgeoun...a long time ago" -Reflection and regret filtered into Kyphus' voice for a serene moment- "So, I made sure that my new body allowed me such abilities as you have witnessed" Looking back at Odakira, Kyphus grinned in gratitude; It was very friendly for a vampire (or anyone) to aid him thus. Maybe even too friendly... |

He sarcastically said. His eyes seemed somewhat interested in what technology could of created such equipment unto his hand. He indeed must of been some sort of genious in his human, or less bulky form.
He continued to smile, he then said to the lady in a more passionate way, "We'll have to get your feet, you know?" Looking down to see the pitter-patters of blood that were amongst the cold concrete, his senses stayed focused, not being hypnotized by the blood's scent and appearance. Unlike any other vampire, he did have a theory that seemed to pull through anything he ever got himself into, Mind over Matter. It almost seemed that this vampire didn't need blood to live and control his powers. But at times, he was at fault, and the blood was necessary. "You're lucky tonight, child..." He said quietly, though thundering from the back of his throat. "Creatures of the Night don't take too kindly to humans... Especially vampires. Most go crazy of the scent of virgin blood, you should be grateful I am trained to be atoned for such things." He quietly chuckled to himself, not trying to be offensive or intimdiating, but simply trying to cheer her up. After all, she was lucky to still be alive. |
