OOC:I am an angel. *kicks tortue device under the table* Chris doesn't know what she's talking about... >_>

Amara hissed as she felt him lurch backwards, she dug her fingertips into his shoulders to stay on.

"MROW!" the catgirl cried out as she was pressed between the wall and the angry priest. He had more fight in him than she thought. She hissed and spat angry curses in German, and her eyes glowed an angry red.

Aren't men of God suppose to be gentle? she mused as she slipped down to the floor and rolled out between his legs. Amara jumped to her feet reached behind her, grabbed Riley by the collar and hurled him over her head into the wall across from them.

"Vell, vell, vell," Amara chuckled, and slowly walked up to him and bent down so that there faces were a couple of inches apart. Her breath smelt fainty of fish and blood, and her hand firmly held his chin in place. "Eez your soul prepared, Priest? Haff you prayed for forgiveness und salvation? Do you fear death? Or vould you like to beg for a few more minutes?" She slowly unbuttoned his shirt with one hand enough so that his neck was exposed. She licked her upper lip. It had been a long time since she had had a fresh meal.[/color:d91b06cba8]

OOC:SHE'S A MANIAC!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

;) just kidding.

Fear swept over Riley like a bucket of ice water, but the adrenaline coursing through his veins would not allow him to freeze up. He was in a rather bad mood, to put it lightly-- one minute, he'd been meeting an old friend for a drink and a chat, and the next he was facing his untimely death. He'd just been slammed into a wall, for heaven's sake.

And he had a hangover that hurt like hell.

He knew he wasn't strong enough to beat this devil. He knew that.

Nevertheless, the feel of his fist on her nose was satisfying.

His legs were sprawled out in front of him, placed that way by the impact. He brought them up, mustering all the strength he had and kicking out, catching the girl squarely in the stomach and knocking her several feet backwards.

"The Laird is me sheperd," he said, his voice low and burning with fury. The accent that had injected itself into his voice didn't even register in his mind; when one was angry, there were better things to do than listen to one's own voice. "Ye've heard that afore, ye devil?"

He stood up, pulling the cross out from under his shirt, if for no other reason than to make himself feel better. "A will fear nae evil*."

OOC:...I need to go back and read up on Riley's character. ><

*...I'm going to kill him for talking like this when he's mad. He's beginning to remind me too much of Father Anderson. >< I apologize if it sucks, this was a bit rushed and I don't know the accent that terribly well... XD

OOC:Ha ha what a riot.

Amara cried out as Riley's fist caught her nose and there was a sickening crunch. "Oof!" she had the wind knocked out of her by his kick and she felt backwards from it and landed unceremoniously on her butt. She licked her upper lip and tasted blood. It was flowing freely from her now broken nose. She hissed and scooted away from him as he stood up. She didn't feel like being kicked again just yet.

"Ja, ja," the catgirl said, rolling her eyes. She flashed a chesire cat grin his way. "I haff heard it, but it has never stopped me from enjoying fresh blood." She lunged at him and suddenly stopped and dangled in the air. The entire hall exploded with light from flouresant bulbs overhead.

<"Liuetenant Amara,"> said a pleasant voice with a cool edge to it in fluent German. Kaiser was holding the catgirl aloft by the back of her collar, and he gave her a stern look. <"What did I tell you? Have you forgotten already?>

"N-Nein doch, Kaiser!" Amara stammered. Her ears drooped and her eyes stopped glowing red as she stared at her combat boots. <"No maiming... or killing... But I wasn't! It was a game-">

<"Enough,"> Kaiser cut her off. His voice seemed cooler, yet still amiable. <"I don't want to hear it. You have a job to do." He set her down on her feet, and she checked her watch. It was noon on the dot. <"Apologize to our guest and be on your way.">

"Jawohl," Amara nodded so quickly, her ears flopped. She approached the angry looking priest, but kept her distance. "Sorry..." she she scampered off into the shadows.

"Kids these days," Kaiser sighed, speking in English to the priest. His accent was definitely American, and his smile was friendly. His brown eyes looked Riley up and down with interest. "You can't do nothing with 'em, eh? I hope Amara didn't give you too much trouble. She tends to get a little excited when she meets new people." He chuckled and offered his hand for the priest to shake. "Father Riley O'Leary, it good to meet you. Name's Kaiser... well, here it is anyway."[/color:199b675d30]

Helen was awoken by the captain when he announced that they would soon be landing in Vienna, and that everyone needed to put on their seat belts. She sat up and found that she had been using Charon as a pillow and that Jo-jo was keeping her lap warm. She smiled and scratched them both behind the ears before buckling her seat belt and pulling it tight. The professor braced herself for the landing by squeezing her eyes shut, twisting her engagement ring around her finger, and biting her lower lip. She felt the plane bump and jostle and she thought she was going to have a heart attack. As the plane taxied around the airfield, her body relaxed again. They had made it... and they were all in one piece! she unbuckled her setbelt and combed out her hair in the bathroom as she wait for the plane to stop. She also relieved herself and splashed water on her face before returning to her seat. She picked up the bag and pulled out one of the guns.

"Oh, bother," the professor sighed and shook her head. "I don't even know how to load this thing..." she placed it back in the bag and set it down. Charon sniffed and nudged her hand again, asking to be petted.

"We're here," Helen said. "Now let's get this over and done with. Just like pulling a band-aid... I'll go get Odakira."

She pulled down the shades so that the sun would not get into the cabin and she went into the back of the plane and stared at Odakira's coffin for a long time. She wondered if he had enough air. Did he have to breathe? How much room did he have to stretch? What if he sleepwalked? Did it smell funny? What kind of wood was it made out of? What would happen if he was claustrophobic? Finally, she knelt down next to the coffin and tapped tentatively on the lid a couple of times.

"Odakira," Helen called softly. "You can wake up now. We've landed in Vienna."

OOC:bleh, I made a post for the landing part, but I was rudely interrupted by my brothers and dad (who were wanting to challenge at Halo 2), so I didn't see the post. Sorry if it threw anybody off :P

It was a long and dark moment, but the sleeping vampire awoke to the soft words of Helen outside of his coffin. Odakira threw open his coffin lid and sat up. The light on the ceiling of the cargo compartment was the only light that shone upon Odakira's dark figure and Helen. Luckily, there were no windows to throw in the sun's light in the cargo room, and Odakira was grateful Helen took precautions of shading the other windows for his sake. Tilting his head from one side to another, a variety of 'snaps' and 'pops' emitted from his neck. "Whew... Good." Odakira responded in delight, "I don't like laying around all day, it makes me worry about whats going on." Bringing up one of his hands, he swiped away some of his long brown hair from his eyes, which was already a mess from the bumpy landing. He then glanced over to Helen, and put his hand in the sash that she carried in along with her. Once removing his hand, he had taken hold of one of the Berettas. "I brought these to you, but I didn't show you how to operate them. Obviously the trigger fires the weapon." Odakira then pointed the gun upward slightly, and pointed to a small switch just a little ways above the handle where the thumb would be, "This will release the clip if its out of bullets." He then pressed the switch with his thumb, and caught the clip with his other hand as it fell out. "To reload, simply take a fully-loaded clip..." He then slammed the clip back into handle's shaft; a small click notifying it's locked in place, "... and push it in." As Odakira finished the small demonstration for Helen, he placed the gun back into the sash, then removed a radio.

"Keep this on you at all times. I'll contact you when I am able to assist you. You, Kyphus, or Moira must give me your location so that I can find you." Odakira explained as he placed the radio back into the sash, then closing it back up. Whilst saying and doing this, simultaneously Odakira had sent a telepathic message to both Kyphus and Moira.

"Moira, Kyphus." Odakira's voice echoed into the voids of their minds, "I will not be able to assist you two obviously until nightfall. I gave Helen a radio communicator for you to contact me with. I'll let you know when I'll be on my way, just let me know your location. Good luck to you two, and keep the girl safe."

The vampire glanced over to his right as he reached a hand into his right pocket; removing his communicator and placing it beside himself in the coffin. Odakira's golden optics then glanced over at Helen once more, and softly he asked, "Will you be alright, Helen?"

OOC:XD Yeah, there are a few fundamental differences... but on the surface he pretty much looks that way, doesn't he? Minus the glasses. And the insanity. And the "GYAAAH MUST KILL ALL HERETICS" thing. Yeah, he doesn't have that.

Riley was surprised, to say the least. If this man was controlling the cat-girl, who was obviously evil, then he, too, should be evil. It would only make sense. And it would be convenient too, because then Riley would have some reason to keep his guard up.

But this man seemed... well, friendly. And while Riley knew that this might very well be a front, it was more than welcome after what he'd just been through. This man-- Kaiser, he'd called himself, which was a little odd, but whatever-- was not trying to kill him. That was an improvement. He was also not laying out rules for a crazy game of hide-and-go-seek, which was also good. Riley regarded the man's hand for just a moment before reaching out and shaking it; the familiar motion made him feel a little better, if nothing else. "Why've ye brang me here, than, if ye knoow* who Ah am? Ah want noothin' tae dae wi' any o' this."

OOC:*XDDDD "ye knoow" ...I LOVE IT AHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAA I'M GONNA KILL RILEY FOR HAVING A FREAKING ACCENT T________T XD

...

It's too early for me to be trying to speak coherently. -_-

Helen jumped a little when the lid flew open and chuckled as he popped his neck. She watched Odakira’s demonstration carefully, and took the gun out of the sash and practiced loading and reloading a few times. She accepted the sash with a soft thank you and slung it over her shoulder. During the brief silence she pulled out a shoulder rig from the sash. She took off the fitted suit coat and slipped it on over her left shoulder. Then she found a thigh rig, and clipped it around her right thigh. She looked at Odakira when he asked his question.

“Will I be all right?! I have been chased by ghouls, kidnapped by Nazi vampires, nearly eaten more than once, burned, abused, humiliated, vampires keep sticking their noses into my mind, my home is in ruins, my classroom was turned into a war zone, and I was nearly sucked out of an airplane! Am I leaving anything out?” her voice was a bit louder and had an angry edge to it as she paced around the back. “Now, you’re asking me if I’ll be all right?” she sighed and leaned against wall and buried her face in her hands.

“God willing…” She hadn’t meant to snap at Odakira, and now she was regretting it. He had been kind and supportive through everything she had been through.

“I’m sorry… I was… I didn’t mean…” Helen gave him a weak smile, and her dark green eyes were warm. “I’ll be fine.”

“I thought you’d just like to get out of England for a while, Father,” Kaiser said with a grin. “A change of scenery does everyone a little good, wouldn’t you agree?” He turned and began walking down the hall with one hand. “Are you thirsty?” He placed a hand on a scone and pushed it.

A door that looked like part of the wall opened and led to a short passage. On the other side of the passage, there was a small lounge. A fire crackled and popped in a goldenrod colored room, with oak floors, walls of shelves, old painting, cherry wood tables, and comfortable-looking red chairs.

“We have some very good Bourbon, Vodka, brandy, whisky and beer. Help yourself to whatever you like. If you don’t mind, I’ll be having something a bit different.” Kaiser bent over and opened a small refrigerator and pulled out a plastic blood bag. He poured some of the contents into a brandy glass and set the rest of the bag in a bowl of ice next to the alcohol to keep it chilled. He walked over to the fireplace, placed a hand of the ornate mantle piece and sipped his drink as he gazed into the fire thoughtfully.

“It shouldn’t be long now,” he murmured as he watched the flames dance and leap on the logs.

“Please, take a seat, Father O’Leary,” Kaiser turned and motioned to one of the chairs in front of the fire. “You see, I brought you here because I need your help with… How long have you known Professor Thames?”[/color:94cf47641e]

Moira cracked a smile at Odakira's sound effects. "Will do, Odakira." She continued to smile even through Helen's outburst. Anger is good, she thought to herself. It's what'll keep her alive even if nothing else is. I certainly know.

She donned her helmet, with the darkened day visor on. Moira put her gloves back on, and freed her motorcycle from its restraints. "You two ready?" She said to Kyphus and Helen. "We'd better hurry if we want to get to the salt mines before dark, as they're fairly far away." Her stomach growled. "But we should stop in town first so that Helen and I can get food."

"An' if Ah dae mind?" asked Riley, his voice taking on an edge like a razor. The whiskey had been looking pretty good before Kaiser had gone and set the blood beside it. Now Riley didn't want to look at it. "Ye'll have tae excuse me while Ah gae voomit."

He took a seat on the other side of the room, as far away from Kaiser and his chilled blood as possible. The fire was nice, though-- a welcome change from the cold and damp that he'd just been tossed around in.

And on that note, his back still hurt a little.

He sighed wearily, some of the fight leaving him. "Professor Thames? Met her a while back. Gave ae lecture in on o' her classes." He shrugged. "Tha's aboot it."

OOC:Bad Riley... lying's a sin, no? I guess it's all right if it's to a bloodsucking fiend.

The vampire stood silent as Helen yelled about the traumatic moments she endured within the past few days. She had every right to be angry... And it was all Odakira's fault. He could've stopped Erika and Wolfgang, he probably could have saved Helen's friends, he probably could - No... Should have...

"I am truely sorry about all that has become of your life. Believe me, it could be worse." Odakira spoke back, trying to calm her. "I'm sure once we rid the evil here in Vienna, things will finally be settled for you." Odakira's expression was troubled and it showed. He wasn't one for ruining another's life, only his enemy's.

The vampire then looked to Moira and gave a nod. "It probably would be a good idea to get some food in you before something happens. No energy in you will just kill you, really..." Odakira looked to Kyphus and spoke, "If you can change back to your human form Kyphus, you might as well accompany them, if not, you might want to go hunt something. I'm sure a lumbering monstrosity will be more than alerting to the people of Vienna."

Odakira then laid back into his coffin, gesturing a wave with his hand as the lid floated over the coffin. "Luck be with you all." Then the lid lowered onto the coffin, closing it once again. He didn't want to be barbecued by the sun's light when Moira and the other's left the cargo room. Another long wait with troubles in his mind about Helen instead of worrying if the jet would crash or not before the landing, but at least there wouldn't be a bumpy ending to his slumber this time.

“It could be worse,” Helen nodded, picked up her umbrella, and turned away. “But it could be a heck of a lot better,” she added, and left the cargo area.

“Have a nice rest, Odakira,” she said over her shoulder. She smiled at Moira. “Where are we going to eat?” A hot meal with some hot chocolate sounded extremely good at the moment. She stuck her head into the cockpit.

“We’re leaving Odakira behind,” she told them. “He’ll leave once the sun sets.” Then she walked back to Moira with Jo-Jo and Charon at her heels.

“Erm, Charon,” Helen looked down at him and rubbed the back of his neck. “I think… you should stay here… or something… You’re kind of big… you might scare some people. You don’t mind do you?” Charon gazed at her for a moment and then shook his big head and licked her hand before melting into the shadow. “Oh… um, good show... I suppose.”

The professor looked at Moira on the motorcycle, and then down at her skirt. Well, there was no way she would be getting into town that way. “I’ll just take the car,” she smiled sheepishly and slipped into the driver’s seat.

“Oh bother,” Helen frowned slightly as Jo-Jo settled himself in the passenger seat. She had forgotten Kyphus had hotwired it. She bit her lip and stared at the mess of wires. “I think… it’s these two… Ow!” Helen jumped when she shocked herself, but the car started and that was all that mannered. She sucked her finger, and rolled down her window. “Let’s go get some food, then, shall we?”

~*~*~

Kaiser raised an eyebrow, took another sip of blood and his lips twitched in a small smirk. “Is that so?” he asked, walking over and sitting in the chair next to Riley and set his glass down on the small table between them. “A bit odd that she would bother you in the middle of the night to meet you in a pub, isn’t it? I was told that you looked like old friends.” His eyes glittered dangerously.

“I thought priests didn’t lie. Commandment number 9, right?” the vampire smirked and chuckled mirthlessly.

“Now, why don’t you just tell me the truth? I’ll make you a deal. If you’re straight with me, I’ll do the same for you. Answer my question, and I’ll answer yours. Sound good, Father O’Leary?” He grinned toothily at him, revealing his canines. “We could always seal it in blood if you don’t trust me.”[/color:7172c0726a]

Chris chuckled at Helen's attempt to re-hotwire his impromptu car, then stood surprised when she pulled it off in good time. Well, one couldn't expect the least at all times and this only meant that Helen was getting better and better with the role that had been tossed at her.

Shifting into his human guise, Chris stepped around his humming car and popped open the passenger door, placed Jo-Jo in his lap, and shut the door behind him.

"Ah, Vienna," Chris sighed happily. "Hmm.... never been here before. Food sounds good, though. Let's ride!"

Yes, food. Chris needed food desperately. All that fighting and just keeping up this facade required energy, energy he got through everything he stuffed in his gullet. Perhaps some Bratwurst would do it, or did they even sell that here...

OOC:I wanna go to Europe!! TT______TT

Helen smiled at Kyphus with the tip of her sore index finger still in her mouth. Jo-jo darted into the back of the car and claimed the back seat to himself. She eased the car out onto the runway, and then stopped.

"Umm... I've never been to Vienna," Helen admitted. "How do we even get to the town?"

Moira pulled a map of Europe out from one of her saddlebags, finding where they were in Austria, and where the salt mines were. Good, this highway leads right around town and then out towards our goal, she thought. If we turn left out of this airport, and then right, we can merge onto it. Wonderful.

"Follow me," she said aloud. "Again. I've looked at the map and made sure. Kyphus, I'll send you a mind-message on when to turn and such." She inserted the key into her bike and revved it up. "Ready when you are."

"I'm ready," Helen called out the window. "We are going to get a bite to eat first right? At least some fruit or something." She tapped on the gas,and smiled. "We'll be right behind you, Moira."

Moira took off, onto the back roads and onto the highway. She sent a message to Kyphus, saying to take the next exit. Then, she turned into it and it led onto a road, which led to a traffic circle on the edge of the town.

Circling around the circle, Moira came to a stop at an open parking spot, pulling into it. She dug out some coins after she parked, and fed them into the meter. Moira then waited for the others to find a spot and park so that everyone could get something to eat.
