Is she serious? No, surely not. Surely she was only dangling the possibility of freedom in front of his face to torment him, the wicked creature. Yes, dangling it like a piece of cheese just out of reach of the mouse's reaching paws. Katze und Maus, she'd said. Cat and Mouse. It was the classic chase--
--and I have no chance. Because the cat never let the mouse go free unless he-- no, she-- knew very well that she could catch him again. If there was any doubt, the cat would simply keep the mouse trapped beneath her claws until she was ready to eat. But if she can't catch me by noon... Then what? She'd find him eventually, and what assurance was there that she wouldn't just tie him up again? Still, it was nice to be able to use his hands. And though the catgirl was in complete control of the situation, he couldn't possibly end up worse off than he was now. Riley stood up and eyed the girl up and down. She was fast, he knew that much from last night's little scene. And that knife she had didn't look too friendly, either. "I get a head start?" he asked hesitantly, while trying to inch his way around her to get to the door. His eyes had begun to adjust to the darkness... but not nearly as well as hers, judging by the way they glowed. If the rest of the mansion was this poorly lit, he'd have no chance. But it's worth a try. |

He had been researching when the others had left for the plane, and Alucard had informed Shadows of the truth of the order. This was, of course, quite a long time after the others had left, leaving Shadows no choice but to take the alternative route. He would not burst into flames, he knew, for the Chunnel traveled under, not over the English Channel. "Vienna..." he muttered to himself. "Can you remember the last time we stopped by that old town, old friend?" OOC:he's saying that last thing to mernov, if you decided to come on the chunnel too, what with us not being on the plane and all. if not, i can fix that
*** Back on the plane, something odd was happening. Something that, if Shadows were aware of, would stun him profoundly. Charon, the demon tiger who had been his companion for nearly three centuries, did something unexpected. He had sensed the danger surrounding those from Hellsing and had separated himself from his normal familiar temporarily and moved to the onSe on that plane that he would listen to. At that moment on the plane, a voice bellowed inside the minds of Helen and Odakira. "YOU WHO KNOWS ME...CALL ME FORTH!" it said, it's tone holding a sense of familiarity. "CALL ME AS YOUR ALLY IN THIS TIME OF NEED!" OOC:Charon can only make a connection to those with some form of mystical energy who he has accepted as not an enemy. Kyphus cannot because his powers are mechanized and Moira has never seen him before, so it's up to the the vamp and the prof. wheee. |

Nevertheless, 811 computed, there were other ways to slay. Unlike the original, 811 had more conventional weapons than mechanized katars.
811 bent down to the floor and angled what was left of its shoulder directly at the target. A cacophany of whirring and metallic screeching later, three revolving gun barrels sprouted from the shoulder of 811. Target locked, 811 opened fire.[/color:a65a2d6695] Kyphus saw the gun coming a long time before the shots even fired. He had fought only one other copy before, a long time ago, but the encounter was too close to leave to his instincts in case he should ever meet another. Of course, last time the robot had had a grenade launcher rather than a gun. Either way, angled shoulder equaled long range danger, no mistake. That being said, Kyphus was already racing straight at his enemy before it did any permanent damage to the plane. Kyphus could stand bullets but, to this day, he had never put any thought into swimming. "Odakira!" Kyphus shouted back, mid-sprint. "Put your attention on finding a hatch I can throw this thing out of the plane. The girls are smart, they can take care of themselves... actually the can help me with the puppet! For instance-" Kyphus leaped at 811 as bullets buried themselves into his chestplates. "-Somebody shoot this damn thing!!" |

Moira closed her eyes, knowing she couldn't rely on them. She focused, senses converging on 811 just as she had been trained, as she had known. Locked on, she fired at the machine. She knew she hit something from the sound afterward, and the way the oil smell got stronger. But what, exactly, Moira didn't know. She hoped it was something vital. OOC:I know it's lame. Stuffyou. |

"Of course I'll give you a head start," she purred sweetly. "I vant zis to be interesting. In fact you haff five minutes once you shut za door. Use zem visely, Priester." She yawned and stretched a bit more. "In fact, I feel more sportsmanlike zan usual, so I vill haff a few light on in the halls and rooms. Happy hiding, ja?" Mernov had just sat down on the bench opposite Shadows when the latter began to address him. He stretched out lazily, making quite sure he was comfortable. He disliked trains severely, and had for many, many years. He could no longer remember why he disliked them so, but he didn't particularly care anymore, either. As he was not one to hold petty grudges unnecessarily long, he always tried to make the best of any train trips that he had to endure. "Vienna? Of course I remember Vienna," he asserted reminiscantly, a hint of a smile visible about the edges of his mouth. "We were to be presented with great honors by the Austrian Emperor himself, but, as always, you were distracted by some cute French girl that was about to be embraced." Mernov rolled his eyes quite plainly. "You just had to save her, and then drag me into the ensuing battle with half of the entire eastern European vampires, I mean honestly! I mean yes she was cute, but... ugh! You and your morals! As for me, I would've rather have attended the ceremony and gotten the honors, then taken her under our wings and destroyed the offending vampires afterwards. That way, hey! two birds with one stone, right? Powerful, cute vampire ally, Austrian Royal Honors, and death and destruction. What did we get instead? Just the death and destruction." Here he paused, shaking his head irritatedly. "Pfft! Vienna." OOC: meh, just made it up as I went, like with the helicopter-type stories. at least it'll let you continue on ;) |

Odakira nodded quickly, then swung his blade outward only for it to burst into black flames and vanish. He then quickly walked down the aisle, then in between the two fighting beasts. Stopping for a moment, he looked at 811, then at the katar still stuck in his arm. The blade had entered and completely exited the other side of Odakira's limb. A frown formed on the vampires face, then he slammed the blade in his arm into side of 811's neck as it and Kyphus continued to fight. Then continuing to his long and quick strides, Odakira spoke out to the foe with obvious anger, "Piece of shit." Walking over to the hatch closest to him, Odakira unlocked it, and was ready to throw it open. "Everyone hang on to something!!" He shouted, then he threw down the lever to open the door.... Nothing... It didn't open. *clink clink* Odakira tried a few more times to open the hatch, but it wouldn't open. Letting out a sigh and a shrug, he turned away from it like he had given up, only to turn about swiflty and throw a rapid kick that nearly blew the latch off it's hinges. The room became a vacumn suddenly; wind flew ferociously about as if they were standing next to a twister. The rest was up to Kyphus, for Odakira simply stood by the door with his arms at his sides. Ready to either catch someone who would fly out, or to help Kyphus rid 811. Not to mention he'd have to stop the damned beast's weaponry from opening fire on the plane when it would fly out. Maybe a simple bolt could do so, but till then, Odakira waited for Kyphus' next command. |

He couldn't help glancing back over his shoulder every few seconds-- but, true to her word, the catgirl did not attack him.
He turned back to the open door in front of him. The hallway was lit, true, but it was still a little dim and he still had no idea where everything was. Yeah, about that... where do I go from here? He considered looking for the kitchen, but if this girl was a vampire then a frying pan to the face would likely do little more than annoy her. Is she a vampire? He couldn't tell. And he didn't know precisely what a real vampire could do, or what their weaknesses were. Crosses? No, that Moira girl hadn't seemed to mind when he'd pulled his out in the pub. ]Holy water? The Host? Probably, but he didn't have any with him. What about garlic? He made a mental note of that; if he managed to find the kitchen (unlikely, considering how huge the mansion probably was), and if he managed to not be killed by some murderous vampire chef, then perhaps he'd find the garlic and give it a try. If they even kept garlic. Which was doubtful. Damn. What about silver bullets? Yeah, they might work. If he had some. And a gun to shoot them with. Would chopping off her head work? He supposed it was possible. Maybe on his search for the probably-nonexistant garlic, he'd look for a meat cleaver as well. Surely they had one of those around. A wooden stake. If she was a vampire, and if Bram Stoker and the other authors were right-- the stake seemed to be the one common weakness among all fictional vampires; perhaps this had sprung from truth?-- then a wooden stake would work. It should be pretty easy to find one, provided that it didn't have to be made of any specific type of wood... He glanced back at the catgirl, who still appeared to be waiting for him to leave. The door's not shut yet, he thought calmly. I have all the time I need as long as I don't shut the door. Wouldn't the ideal thing to do be to wait until five minutes 'till noon? Then leave, shut the door, and wait for her to make good on her promise? But she'd probably kick him out of the room and shut the door herself if he waited much longer. But where do I go? There was no point trying to get as far away from her as possible; she was faster than him and she knew the mansion better. She'd expect him to run as far as possible, and she'd find him. But if he stayed near, perhaps in one of the closer rooms-- no, she'd check there first, and she'd find him. He'd have to resign himself to the fact that he had a very small chance either way. That being said, he could hardly end up worse off than he was now, so he'd just have to try his best. Riley stepped out of the room, closed the door, and began running. OOC:Jeez... XD I don't even know what she is, let alone what'll kill her. >< |

And Moira's a dhampir, that's why she wasn't particularly worried when Riley took out his cross... a real Vampire would prolly be like HOSHIT D:
The hatch burst open, and Moira's hair whipped wildly towards the opening, freeing itself from its scrunchie. Instead of digging it out of her face (she hated hair in her face), she ignored it and clung to a seat. I hope they can get this thing out without making the plane into a flying sieve, Moira thought. OOC:Moira's given up for now. XD; |

I know Schrodinger tells Major to "leave it(the destruction of Hellsing) to us 'verevolves'" however, Hirano said that Schro was a catboy, so I think Schro was referring to himself, rip and the others and that was just the name of their team. It's confusing, but that's all I have... But I'm pretty sure Amara is not a werewolf.
Amara watched him hesitate at the door lazily, and grinned wickedly in the darkness once Riley left and closed the door behind him. The sound of his footsteps pound quickly against the floor was music to her ears. He was a pretty fast runner for an alcoholic priest. As Riley ran farther and farther away from her, the lights became brighter and brighter. She prided herself on her eternal clock, and sat extremely still on the desk and began counting off the seconds that passed as she mused about what kind of horrors she could put the priest through before noon. No killing or maiming, she reminded herself with a sad little sigh. That takes some of the fun out of it, doesn't it? When his five minutes were up she silently slipped out of the hallway, took a sniff of the air grinned and skipped down the hallway after him. As she gained on him the lights began to dim again, and she slowed down. Amara didn't want to end the game to quickly.[/color:3801285dff] ~*~*~ Helen screamed when the hatch opened and created the vacum, and then suddenly felt as though the breath had been sucked out of her lungs. It was hard to breathe, nearly impossible, and her eyes watered as her hair whipped around wildly. Jo-jo was wrenched from her arms, and she was just barely able to stop him from flying out of the hatch by grasping his collar in one hand. She grasped the seat with her free arm and locked her legs around the arm of the chair to keep her from falling. Her eyes glazed over slightly, she didn't know if the undead had to breathe, but humans do kind of need oxygen. Charon, her mind echoed. Help... Jo-jo slipped out of the collar and hurtled toward the exit with a howl. Helen's eyes widened in horror and shock as she watched her puppy fly away from her with his collar still in one hand. OOC:Hmm... a flying dog... |

"Good! That's perfect! I'll handle it from here, don't worry about me!" Kyphus shouted against the roar of the maelstrom. There was only one way to get this thing out of the plane, but it was risky. First, unlatch the drone's claws from the floor. Kyphus rammed both katars into the robot's chest and lifted it with portions of the floor still stuck to it's feet. Second, unlatch Kyphus' own claws and let the vacuum take them both out. Kyphus' feet unhooked from the floor (and the drone's leg), then, both whipped into a flying roll straight towards the open sky. Finally, with the squirming drone in tow, Kyphus let the wind and gravity do its thing. In an instant, Kyphus and the drone were just past the open hatch. Kyphus followed his first instinct and grabbed the edge of the hatch with the claws on his legs while releasing the beast on his arms. That was that, soon the drone would fall and explode just far enough that everyone in the plane would be... Kyphus looked at the drone. He could still see the drone; it was hanging on his arm! "Oh Come On! You have 12 seconds to explode and you want to spend them hanging from my arm!?" Kyphus roared as he tried to shake of the robot. "I really have to install a gun" |

With a quick reflexed grasp, Odakira managed to catch the flying dog. Jo-jo shivered somewhat in his grasp, giving that sad puppy-dog-eyed look. "Where did you think you were going?" Keeping hold of the dog in one hand, Odakira leaned out of the hatchway at the dangling Kyphus and 811. '12 seconds is plenty of time..'he thought to himself, and with his free hand he brandished his blade once more; Jo-jo now doing a little more than shaking from fear of falling and the sound and display the sword gave when it appeared in Odakira's hand.
Focusing his mind on the sword, the vampire threw the sword down at the enemy, the blade spun so fast that it became a razor disc in deadliness and looks. Like a circular saw tearing through a thin sheet of wood, Odakira's blade tore the grasping claw that clung to Kyphus' arm, sending it flying to it's explosive fate... Whenever it would blow that is. The sword simply vanished into the air after it finished it's job, and Odakira turned to face to two ladies within the plane. A small grin coming to his expression at the sight of their new hairstyles. The hatch was still open, but Kyphus could handle the rest. With Jo-jo still in hand, Odakira walked over to Helen and kneeled beside her. "No worries, Jo-jo is safe." He then gave a toothily grin and gave the once-airborne dog a pat on the head. |

The demonic cat purred softly and rubbed the familiar person with it's head. Charon looked at Jo-jo and yawned, displaying it's impressive teeth and jaws to a creature it was not naturally fond of.

The dog was still so shaken that he let the vampire pat him on the head without complaint.
"Thank you, Odakira," Helen said scratching Jo-jo behind the ears. "Oh!" her eyes widened in surprise and she nearly fell over when rubbed his head against her. "Charon," she chuckled a bit. "It's goood to see you to." She rubbed his neck and scratched him behind the ears as well. Jo-jo was not as happy to see the big cat. He watched him yawn and the pup went into a catatonic state. "Well, serves you right," the professor scolded the pup. "You shouldn't be barking all the time, and trying to scare people. Besides you're too cute to be scary." "I can't thank you both enough," she said smiling at Odakira and Charon. "I-" Helen was able to glance outside for just a moment, but that was enough. Her eyes widened, and she opened her mouth to scream, but all that came out was a strangled noise from the back of her throat before she fainted. |
| Vern_5 Joined: 31 May 2005 Posts: 212 | Now this was a precarious situation. They had gotten rid of the drone, thank god, and it was now spiraling away. In fact, it looked like it was about to blow, from its signature pre-explosion rigor mortis. Hanging like a bat from the rim of the hatch had its perks. He would be able to see the magnificent explosion from the drone at just the right distance so that the concussive waves would paint a spectrum of grandeur in his ghost-sight. ON the other hand, judging from the way Kyphus' left foot was frantically clawing for a foothold, the force of the moving plane would eventually rip him off the side.
How to get back in? Well there was one way. Kyphus, fighting the wind whipping aroudn and about him, began to bend his body backwards, his spine shifting and lengthening up to the point where his own arms could grab the backs of his legs. By inhuman reflexes and sheer force of will, Kyphus managed to effectively climb his own body until he could roll himself, like a human pinwheel, back into the safety of the cabin. Kyphus tumbled into the side of a broken seat, probably damaged during the fight, like a stray tire and landed flat on his own side. "Man, I feel like a human tire," he groaned. Outside, drone 811 entered its final program. The explosion started within its chest, then, sprang wide like a spring of death, shattering its artificial bones and scattering its being to the sky and, inevitably, the sea.
