Kaiser is American, and at this point his reach is long and he probably has a lot of influence in the underworld.
Riley shrieks like a girl. *snicker* Amara sighed and watched the priest flea for a moment, deciding to be sportsman-like and giving him a head start. The ghouls disappeared into the alley and cut him off at the next intersection. She checked her pocketwatch, shook her head and sped after him. The cat girl pounced on Riley. She grinned and leaned over to whsiper in his ear. "I'm very sorry, Vater O'Leary. I'd love to continue zis little game, but ve're on a tight schedule," Amara purred. "Ve haff to get to Vienna before our little lehrer and her groupies do. Ve haff to get going, and I do not need you being difficult, so-" The she hit him hard in the head. Jo-jo's ears perked up, and he stood to his feet and looked out into the aisle. There was a thing there with a bad smell making a terrible noise, but he couldn't see it. That wasn't right. Jo-jo knew that smells and noiss had a source. He growled, got out of the seat, and stalked into the aisle. Helen's eyes opened and she sat up a little, and glared sleepily at the dog. "Jo-jo, what are you doing?" she muttered. "Get back here." The labrador did not listen, but continued following the smell to a depression in the carpetting where the smell was the strongest and the noise the loudest. He looked up and found nothing was there, but his nose and ears had never decieved him before. He bared his teeth and started barking angrily at the unseen thing with his hackles raised. Helen frowned, unbuckled her seatbelt and stood up in the aisle. Her hand clutched the head of the seat and she avoided looking out any of the windows. "Jo-jo, stop it," she said sternly, but the puppy ignore her again. "Jo-jo, Moira's trying to sleep. Stop disturbing everyone or you're going into the back of the plane with the baggage." The professor took a step toward the puppy as he continued to make a scene and her expression grew more concerned. "What's gotten into you, boy? What's wrong?" ~*~*~ In a stately mansion in a neighborhood of the uppercrust of Vienna, Kaiser sat on his veranda and looked over the well-tended gardens in the moonlight. He sipped a half-filled wine glass of blood, and ran his fingers through his hair. "Lieutenant Amara," he said with a small smirk without looking behind him. "Are you going to deliver your report or are you just going to stare at the back of my head?" "Hn? Oh," Amara laughed and sat on the railing next to him. "Vell, ze priest iiz tied to a chair in your study." He nodded and she continued. "And ze target has left England vith the drone on board. Ze plane's estimated arrival time is a little before noon." "Are our troops around Hellsing and the Vatican prepared to attack?" he asked, and he took another sip. "Ja," she nodded enthusiastically and her ears bounced. "Zey will launch zey're atttack as soon as you give vord." "Well done," he said reaching over and scratching her behind an ear for a moment. He handed her the glass and tapped her on the nose with a brotherly smile on his face. "Now, rest up. We have a big night ahead of us." She downed what was left of the blood, smiled and left Kaiser on the veranda. "Kaiser," Amara poked her head out the door. "May I entertain our guest?" "You mean may you entertain yourself by toying with the priest's nerves," laughed Kaiser. "Perhaps... I'll think about it. We wouldn't want him to get bored." He trailed off and his brown eyes stared into the moon. "After you take a nap," he said at last. "Then you can play with him, but no maiming or killing te priest. I'll need him later once we have the professor. Understand?" "Ja,"Amara said cheerfully and bounced off. Kaiser shook his head, and chuckled. Everything was falling into place. He grinned at the thought of his victory that was drawing nearer and nearer. [/color:ed14303641] |

Standing up from the coffin, Odakira clenched his fists and extended his arms outward; his elbows and shoulders emitting a few cracks and pops. As he rested his arms down at his side, he made the decision to see what the pilots were up to, and if any body of water was in sight. Exitting the cargo room, the vampire traversed the empty kitchen and made it to the seating compartment. It didn't take no more than three steps for him to notice the foot... or rather, 'claw'-prints upon the carpeting. Having halted his movement, he eyed where the steps lead only to find that Helen and Jo-jo were in the way of something not there, and surely they could have not created them. Having already taken in what was around him, Odakira knew something was wrong.
"Stop right there." Odakira said, his tone almost venomous to one's ear. He then grabbed his rifle from his back and guided the barrel's tip toward the general direction of what he could not see (basically where Helen stood). "I know you're there. Show yourself." *click* Odakira then switched off the safety of his firearm. 'What in the Hell is this thing? I can't see it, nor does it contain a soul-trail. It has to be mechanical, and it's clearly advanced. Maybe an assassin from Talona?' Odakira thought to himself as he took aim, waiting for a reaction as well as sending Helen a message telepathically, 'Move...' |

Then she realized he wasn't talking to her when he demanded whoever or whatever he was talking to to show itself. Her eyes searched the area in front of her, but she could see nothing there except her angry dog. She gulped, bit her lower lip, and slowly backed away like Odakira told her to.
"Jo-jo," she said calmly but firmly despite the way her legs trembled. "Come. Come here. Jo-jo heel." Jo-jo kept barking and growling. He recognized the thing as a threat, and he would not back down this time. This thing was too dangerous. |

Plus, I'd be bored if I had nothing to post.
How did she catch up so fast? And what's with the cat ears? I haven't done anything-- no, get away from me, I haven't done anything! Why d'you want me you freak I haven't done a damned thing except go to meet a friend for a drink and a few ideas-- Vienna? Vienna? Helen's in Vienna! Everyone's in Vienna! What the hell is in Vienna? Who's running this show, anyway? I don't want anything to do with-- Blackness. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Riley woke up to the same darkness that had consumed his period of unconsciousness. The first thing he realized was that he wanted to go back to sleep; the splitting pain throbbing through his head was nothing short of torture. Damn catgirl... The second thing he realized was that he was tied to a chair. Odd, considering how easily the demon-thing had gotten him under control. Why on earth would she need to tie him up? Why on earth would she need him in the first place? He was a priest, just a priest, and he had a mass to give the next morning. Or, depending on how much time had passed, right now. He'd gotten a call from a friend, had learned some interesting new things, and had watched that friend leave with her new vampire comrades, headed for Vienna. All he wanted right now was to go home and sleep off this headache that was part catgirl-karate-chop and part I-had-too-much-whiskey-last-night. Well, there was a bright side. That chance you've always wanted? To fight EVIL in its purest form? I'd say this is as close as you're gonna get. Okay, but he'd imagined it a little differently. More people on his side, perhaps. Maybe a weapon or two, even if it was just Holy water and a cross. And he'd sort of been hoping to face his opponent on even footing, rather than sitting down. You idiot. If your opponent's that EVIL, d'you really think he'd let you get on an even footing in the first place? Well, he'd always imagined he'd have some sort of a chance. Because the EVIL he'd imagined hadn't been vampires, exactly. Not that there was anything to do right now. He couldn't even see. And he'd been up a little too long to do much fighting, anyway. Riley sighed, tired beyond belief, and waited for something to happen. |

She scratched her ears and listened, The priest had woken up; she could tell by listening to his breathing. She could see him perfectly in the darkness. He looked miserable, kind of like he was having the hangovers of all hangovers.
Well, he'll wish that was all he had soon enough, she the grinning to herself. If he doesn't already. Her eyes glittered and she stood up from the chair she was in and walked easily over to him. "Guten morgen," she said sleepily, crawling into his lap. "And velcome to Vienna. Your professor vill be joining you shortly." She smiled like a chesire cat, and her teeth glowed earily. "How do you feel zis lovely morning?" she asked patting him on the cheek with her gloved hand. "Sleep vell?"[/color:458af3ad78] |

Moira's ears perked up as she heard 811 moving down the aisle, dispelling the drowsiness she had succumbed to. Her sensitive nostrils sniffed the air, a metallic tang meeting them. Her eyes darted to the ground. Indentations made by claws... that, if she wasn't mistaken, resembled Kyphus's. 'We've got big trouble,' she thought to Odakira, Helen, and Kyphus. 'Seems like another Kyphus. Only this one's pissed.' She had a moderately-good psi, but used it only in times of necessity. 'Odakira! Either lay your ass down in your coffin, or tell the pilots to turn around! I wouldn't want to have to sweep you up with a dustpan and broom, that would be a pain.' She paused, remembering that all her weapons were in the back. 'I left my stuff in the back. The robot is in front of me in the aisle, so I should be able to dash for it.' She vaulted over her seat into the aisle, at a run. She went to the back, opening her saddlebags and taking out her weapons--specifically, her pistol and twin knives. OOC:OH SNAP. Fighting an enemy you can't see... that would suck.
I'm picturing Riley shrieking like Timmy's Dad on Fairly Odd Parents xDDDDDDD |

'We've got a problem on this jet. There is going to be gunfire, so keep calm and keep this bird in the air. What I want you two to do is keep the aircraft above land. If it gets over water and something happens to me, there isn't going to be a happy ending for you as well. Now turn around.'
There was a small moment of silence, like time had frozen and nothing was happening. Then suddenly, the jet began to turn. Odakira pressed his finger against the trigger of his rifle softly, then with one last comment, he fired, "You've been warned.." A loud BANG filled the compartment as the rifle shot. As for where the vampire aimed, he shot at a downward angle (aiming for the leg or foot of the creature), so that no one could get hurt, nor would he have to worry about damaging the jet in a severe way. |

XD And I dunno, I don't think Riley's gonna scream just yet. Maybe later. Sorry. ^^; Riley frowned. Professor? Does she mean Helen? A shiver passed through him as he tried not to picture what might happen if this catgirl was waiting for Helen when her plane touched down. He still had no idea who'd been behind his kidnapping and transportation to Vienna, but they were obviously not a friendly person. Vampire. Whatever. Get off my lap, he thought angrily, but kept his mouth shut. I'm a priest, dammit. This isn't good. There was no reason to think that the girl would listen to him, anyway. He didn't exactly have the upper hand. "Quite well, thank you," he replied sarcastically, turning his face away from her hand. "I'm sure the blow to the head helped quite a bit." His voice was as steady as the hand of a practiced surgeon-- but anyone who knew him well would have noted the slight lilt of an accent which was returning to his voice in greater quantity than it had last night. He heard it, and stopped talking to take a few deep, calming breaths. It was hard with a vicious catgirl sitting in his lap-- it would have been hard with any girl sitting in his lap, but this was probably the worst it could have been-- but he managed. When he spoke again, his voice was nearly back to normal. "I don't remember making plans to take a vacation. Why am I here?" |

He received no damage from the attack but it was enough to warn its extra senses as well as destroy its cloak.
811 scanned its surroundings with one revolving eye, like the lenses of a microscope that flexed and swiveled to take in all data, everything that was necessary. As it watched, it rose and ducked beneath the aisle ceiling. As it rose, it flexed razor-like fingertips and sprouted the signature scissor katars that adorned the original's own arms. And as it towered over the feeble creatures around it it made ready to turn and kill its target. Nothing else mattered. Once the target was destroyed, a simply self-destruct mechanism would be triggered to put it to rest as well as anything around it.[/color:bbb92f6a69] Kyphus knew what he was staring at, he knew it before he even recognized it and that 'it' was probably one of the most dangerous entities Kyphus had ever known. Few things worried him, not even death. This creature, this 'robot' worried him to no end. No time to think, to chances to take, and he certainly could not risk the others, although he might not be able to kill the intruder without them, maybe. Kyphus felt the rush of chemicals in his blood, the same steroid-esque mixture. He felt the katars erupt from his wrists . He felt stale air rush past him as he vaulted directly at the drone. The two crash into each other and collapsed on the floor. Kyphus would finish the battle before it ever started; a swift skewering of the brain would do. Kyphus lunged. It was a surprise and a serious shock when he felt himself dangling in the air, suspended by the drone's blades, which were already dripping with steaming, black ichor. [quote:bbb92f6a69]Feel free to strike in unison, this drone is quite a handful "argh, my ribs!"[/quote:bbb92f6a69] |

Placing the weapon into a seat beside himself, he then witnessed the failed attack of Kyphus; seeing him impaled in the side by a very deadly katar blade. Deadly to a human, but not to a vampire...
'Moira, get Helen out of here! Take her and my weapon to my coffin quickly. If there is fun to spare, I'll let you have it, but Helen's safety is top priority!' After sending the telepathic message, Odakira held out an open hand, only to have a black flame engulf it. The flame extended outward parallel to the ground, only to clear and reveal the vampiric blade of Odakira. Lowering the blade to his side, the vampire ran to a dead-sprint at his foe; raising the weapon to strike directly at it. The beastly machine watched the vampire come at him, and with a swipe of it's free katar, he vanished. Odakira knew the technique of the beast from a previous battle with the original. The vampire reappeared standing in one of the seats to complete the blow he dealt. The sword came down with a crackle that swiped the metallic arm that gutted Kyphus clean off. Bringing up a foot, he pivoted his other slightly in unison; creating quite a destructive heel kick to the machine's eye. The drone feel back, but caught itself into a roll back onto it's claws. It's eye twitched a moment, then relocked back on to it's target: Kyphus. Standing beside the pierced Kyphus, Odakira kept his guard up, as well as his eyes on 811, but whispered over to Kyphus. "Remember our duel long ago, old friend?" He asked in an almost jokingly matter, then continued, "You think you can make the 'patient' say 'Ahh...'?" |

| Vern_5 Joined: 31 May 2005 Posts: 212 | Kyphus was vaguely grateful for Odakira and his keen sense of death dealing paired with "save the women". Unfortunately, Odakira was getting ahead of himself. There is one solid link between vampires and humans and that's how they come to think. judging from the old fang's actions, he thought that this robot would fight like Kyphus.
The difference between the drone and te original is that the original had a sense of prudency; he would retreat after getting his arm lopped off if only to make sure it got back on right. This creature and all of its limbs could still function after being ripped apart, just like the original. But this thing was relentless; it would keep coming no matter what. And, if it couldn't keep coming, it would explode like several pounds of C4. "Odakira, I can't handle this mimic alone but I need you to do something extremely important." Kyphus said to the fang. "Open a hatch, we have to get this beast outside the plane. If you try to destroy it in here we'll all be blown to hell!" Kyphus was healing, Odakira would be ready... but how could they get the attacker outside? Drone 811 studied the wound to its left arm and minor damage to its fifth eye. Except for the missing limb, it was nothing serious. It WOULD complete its mission, no matter the hindrance. The extra enemy (records showed to be a vampire) could be ignored for the time being. The only thing that matter was the target, which was already healing. 811 knew its protocols: it needed to rend the target into tiny pieces. Regrouping its strength, 811 grabbed its fallen arm in one hand and lobbed it like a spear, a spear traveling like a bullet, straight at Kyphus' head[/color:4dfb24d789] |

It knows where we are, and if it wants to attack us it will find us.” She had been so afraid of flying she had let her guard down, and now she started concentrating on rebuilding that mental wall. She peeked over the seat and saw Kyphus bleeding, his evil twin hurling its arm at him, and Odakira with a wicked-looking sword. Open the hatch? That’s insane! She swallowed and looked over at Moira in alarm.
“You have got to be bloody kidding me,” she whispered fiercely. “How are we supposed to get in the back? We have to cross-“ She heard a sharp bark, and her face paled. “Jo-jo.” The professor was off in a flash. On her hands and knees, she crawled from seat to seat as quickly as her skirt would allow her to until she was within reach of the angry little puppy. None-the-less, the thing needed destroyed, and with Kyphus' input about it's self-destructive ways, Odakira felt no need to take any longer than needed. As soon as he turned around to view his opponent again, the once severed arm became a flying projectile... Then the sound of flesh being pierced and torn filled the jet quite chillingly.
Just in the knick of time, Odakira threw out his arm; allowing the 'spear' to embed itself into his forearm. Crimson fluid spilt from his arm shortly after a spatter of it from the impact, but Odakira shook it off inside. "Once Helen is safe, I'll open the hatch." He then said, almost as if the pain was about to release an inner rage that none other could withstand. |
