One eyebrow rose slightly, the way he walked it seemed familar, and his teeth were pointed now. She had only seen the man for a moment but she could have sworn his teeth were normal.
"Can I get you anything, sir?" asked Agnes. [/color:c707e5857e] "I don't know about happy ending," Helen said dryly as she smiled at Moira. "But an ending where I'm not dead or undead would be nice." The bag Chris had given her felt heavy in her lap, and she would have asked who it was from if she hadn't recognized the material. What had Odakira given her? She glanced at the raven on Chirs' shoulder, and peered into the bag and sighed. Most women get flowers, or chocolates, or maybe a stuffed bear, but not me, she thought shaking her head and closing the bag. No, I get guns... |

"Well, dear friends, the time has come," Chris anounced. He turned to slink his way to the door. "Get Ready, ladies. That ethereal avian that just landed on my shoulder came from Odakira so that must mean the airfield is clear. So, I'm guessing we're driving to the airfield (wherever the hell that is)" As Chris crossed the pub, he wondered. He had never heard of an airfield restricted for Hellsing use so had no idea where to go. In essence, he had the means to get to the plane but no direction. Oh well, if the old fang at the airfield had any sense of tact, he would give them an arrow to follow. "Helen, bring your boyfriend, the holy one, as I sense it," Chris laughed. "Call shotgun if you want to ride next to the blind driver!" |

AND AGAIN! WHAT SEASON IS IT?? FALL/AUTUMN??? Moira strapped on her gloves and zipped up her jacket, leaving a few bills under her empty goblet for the waiter. "Well, let's go then. Follow me, I know where the airfield is." She then put on her full-face helmet, keeping the visor up. It was her day-visor, tinted, so she needed to switch it for the non-tinted one before she could drive safely. She motioned for the others to follow, and went out to her bike. She swapped out the visors (the other was in her saddlebag) and got onto her bike, kicking away the kickstand and revving it up. She put down her clear visor, and switched on her headlights. Ah, the airfield... more like an airstrip, Moira thought. I thought it was military only, but Odakira must have been... persuasive. OOC:That airplane's gotta have a cargo hold big enough for the 'King or Moira'll be pissed D< |

The guard continued in his shaky footsteps as Odakira followed behind; leading him directly to the jet hangar. "Well, as you asked 'VIP', we have quite a few I'm sure would suit you." Coming to the first plane, the guard gestured to it with his hand and continued, "This is the first of the many we have. Has enough room for about 8 people, not including pilots. This jet would be your fastest way of getting there." The jet was small in size, and painted a tacky white color.[/color:37010e4242] "Hmm... nyah." Odakira let out after a moment of thought. "I need something a little bigger." He then followed the guard to the next one. But before the guard held out his hand to give off the preferences of this one, Odakira snatched his hand. The guard looked to him frightened by his sudden action, only to see the vampire shaking his head. "No, don't get me a jet... Nevermind it all." "Huh? H-hey, you mean forget about all this!?" The guard asked in a demanding manner.[/color:37010e4242] "Yep, forget jets, let's talk World War I. Give me a Sopwith Camel!" Odakira responded in a jaunty mood suddenly. "You can't be serious! I'll have you escorted out of he--!"[/color:37010e4242] "Then get me a REAL jet then! I have no time to look at plane's like I'm at a market. I need a roomy jet, capable of holding quite a bit of cargo, and room for at least 20 persons. Now get a move on!!" Odakira was toying with the man, yes... But could have been a little more angrier and simply threw him across the room... Or done something worse. "R-right!" The hefty guard then started walking speedily to a jet he knew would be perfect. Stopping at the ideal one, he pointed to it and spoke out nervously, "Here it is. Just as accomadating as you asked. Holds 20, extra cargo hold for whatever inventory you might bring along, restrooms, and what not." The jet was made of a fine stainless mirrored steel. If it had restrooms, then rest-assured the insides of the jet would be nice.[/color:37010e4242] "Good. I'll take it. Have it prepped and ready to go soon..." Odakira then leaned forward to read the guard's name tag and finished, "...Edgar. I'll be returning soon with my cargo and friends." Then with a pivot of his foot, the vampire began to walk out of the hangar, but stopped and spoke out, "Oh, and one more thing..." He turned about to face the guard and asked, "Does the jet have a kitchen of some sort?" The guard nodded and Odakira replied with a smooth-toned "Gooood." Turning again, he began walking to the entrance of the airfield once again. Once there, he then rested his shoulder against the guard shack and waited in silence for everyone's arrival. OOC:Good enough for Moira and Elvis? :P |

She looked indignantly at Chris as he walked out of the pub. "He is not my boyfriend," she said as she followed him. "And he's staying here." She stopped at the door and turned her head.
"I'll see you when I get back, Riley," she called over her shoulder. "Work on your book." Then she left and the dorr closed behind her. "He'll be safer here anyway," she said more to herself than to Chris. "He's a priest! He'd only get hurt anyway." She glanced back at the pub as if the place would be attacked by ghouls at any moment. It wouldn't be the first time. "You night creatures always jump to conclusions," she accused Chris as she slipped into the passenger seat of a car without a second thought. After everything she had been through, if this blind man said he could drive, then all power to him. Jo-jo sat in her lap until Helen chased him into the back seat. He was getting so big! Helen could remember when he was bumping his nose against her heels when he walked to close. Where had the time gone? |
| Vern_5 Joined: 31 May 2005 Posts: 212 | "To the contrary, I am not a night creature," Chris said to a flustered Helen. "Day, night and everywhere in between. That's where I dwell."
"Still," Chris wondered. "A holy man could be a good weapon in the anti-undead arsenal, or is he not into that sort of thing?" Chris rolled down a window with one arm while his other hand mechanically hotwired the car (for the second time). Sticking his head out of the newly opened window, he yelled, "Moira! Moira, I trust your sense of direction so where is that old airfield the fang wants us to visit?" |

The college professor looked at Chris carefully. "Just what precisely are you then, if your not a vampire?" she asked carefully. "I saw your fangs in the pub, and now you're going to drive to an airfield, so obviously your not a blind man. Are the sunglasees and cane just a disguise?" She looked down as he started hotwiring the car. "You didn't steal this car did you?" she asked disapprovingly. |

"It's in the suburbs, not too far from here. Just follow me, Chris. And put your headlights on, for the love of God." She flipped her visor down again, and backed her motorcycle out in front of Chris's car. She turned around and waved at him before giving the bike gas, to make sure he saw her.
She traveled straight, then turned past Hellsing, continuing on the main road to the outskirts of town. She turned off onto a small road, and in a few minutes had reached the front gate of the airfield. OOC:She's lived in Hellsing all her life, remember? She know her way around its town, too

When Moira stopped at the entrance of the gate, Odakira gave a mental message as he began to walk towards the hangar,
"No need to switch off your bike, the jet I got us has plenty room for it... And a kitchen." When he reached the side of the hangar, he turned a switch by the bay door. The door then raised and provided an opening to where the jet was. Within, many a technician were fueling and preparing the jet for the flight. "Just drive around to the back of the jet. I'll have one of the guards open it's rear cargo room." "Hey, you!" Odakira shouted to one of the guards, who seemed to be just watching the whole commotion. The guard snapped to attention and ran up to the vampire, saluting, and responding, "Yes sir!" Odakira blinked a few times at this almost exaggerated response from the guard. "Right... I need you to open the cargo room to the jet, my friend needs a place to secure her bike." Odakira ordered, and the guard nodded quickly and ran to the back of the jet. Out of vision to the vampire, a small 'clang' sound had hit the concrete floor of the hangar. "It's open!" The guard shouted. Odakira simply nodded to him as he moved away from the loading ramp. "It's clear whenever you want in, Moira." OOC:If you guys notice any misspellings or mistakes in my posts, just let me know and i'll fix them. Chris' ever-present grin suddenly shrank from his face. What was he, after all? How could he answer that question when he wasn't very sure of the answer. "I am blind and I am a man, but I am not a vampire, although one could say that I'm not very far off," Chris said solemnly. Presently, his brain was handling two affairs at once. While his arms and senses were handling driving (through heavy use of his sonic analysis) another part of his mind was organizing an answer for Helen. "Nearly two-hundred years ago in good ol' London itself, I was a surgeon and a secret inventor. I don't want to bore you with the details of my unsuspecting demise at a London steel mill. If you want to know who I am all I can tell you is this "I built the first fully automated mechanical shell, or Kyphus, as I affectionately named it. A grisly accident got me installed into this nightmare machine and left me a broken creature. You see, I built this body to preserve human life when the body has become destroyed beyond use but all I have done is make a mockery of humanity. So, I destroyed the schematics and stole myself away from society. I went abroad, travelled the world, learned of its dark secrets (vampires and the lot) and remodelled this body to serve humanity the best way I could. "Much that you see in this body," Chris noted as he allowed his human form to melt away and reveal his true body, thinner since he removed the extra armor but still just a suit of black and gold machinations save the small aread around his jaw and the bridge of his nose. "Is not what originally was. I've changed it so that I can go anywhere, do anything and everything there is to do so serve the people without them having anything to fear from me" "So," Chris concluded as Kyphus was concealed by a reforming veil of humanity and clothing, even if it was all replicated. "I am not undead yet I doubt I am still alive. I am not a vampire although we share many things in common..." "Oh, right. And I did steal the car," Chris chuckled. [quote:619b78560b]Monster post. Maybe I'll write up Chris' background later...[/quote:619b78560b] |

She was satiasfied with Chris/Kyphus' answer. Actually, she was relieved to see Kyphus, and she relaxed more now that she knew it was someone she had met previously. "Couldn't Hellsing have provided you with one? What if the owner needs this in the morning?" She glanced outside and saw the airfield.
"Which plane are we going on?" she asked gazing out the window. Her eyes widened as the car followed Moira into the cargo bay. "Wow... I didn't know Hellsing had a plane this big." |

She pulled around and into the cargo hold of the plane as it opened. She parked and turned off her bike, taking off her helmet and putting the the gloves into one of the hard saddlebags. After the helmet came off, she went into full Chef mode, determined to make sure her bike was secured. "You and you," she yelled at two technicians, "Get your asses over here and secure this motorcycle! It better not move one inch in flight, or I'll have your livers for pate!"
"Yes ma'am!" They saluted her, and she got out of the way to let them do their thing. They used all manner of straps, plastic doohickeys, and restraining devices, and when they were done, she pushed against the bike--no motion at all. "Good job, men," she said curtly, leaving the cargo hold to look at the rest of the plane. When she got there, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Bloody hell, I saw it was cavernous, but it even has a kitchen!" She inspected it, and was pleased with what she saw- two knife sets, one Japanese stainless steel, the other ceramic, all manner of pots, and a fair array of spices. She looked in the cabinets and refrigerator, both well stocked with pretty much everything. "A pity we don't have all this at Hellsing," she said, shaking her head. Odakira thought as he shook his head with nothing but a grin adorning his face. Odakira places his hands behind his back and turned around to see that Chris and Helen had followed safely behind. Walking over to the vehicle, he came to the passenger-side door and opened it for Helen. Bringing one of his hands from behind his back, he held it out for Helen to take to help her out of the vehicle. "You're plane has is ready, Mrs. President." He said in a jokingly fashion. After this, he looked over to Chris and spoke again,
"Stolen, eh? Well, good thing too. Judging from the deeply shaded windows in the back of this vehicle, this car is used to transport vampires during the day." Odakira gained this from both the windows and that there was a small divider between the front and back seat, in which there was a sliding shaded glass panel that could open and close to the discretion of whoever was in the back... And at the moment, it seemed Jo-jo was in the back. "There should be a case of medical blood in the back. After all, what if a vampire would need to freshen up?" Odakira thought to himself, then made a mental note to check the trunk before they left. Looking back to Helen, his hand still held out for hers, he asked of her, "Shall we be off?" |

"Of course," she said and she placed the hand tha was not holding her umbrella in the one he offered. Jo-jo glowered at the vampire, but didn't make any noise.
"Let's be off then," she said as she stepped out of the stolen vehicle. "Come on, Jo-jo. We're going to Vienna, that's in Germany. I believe that's where your grandfather is from." Jo-jo barked, jumped into the front seat and joined the professor outside and stayed close to her heels; his nose was practically up her skirt. Helen's big, green eyes examined the inside of the cargo bay. "It's bigger on the inside than I thought it would be," she said softly, thinking out loud. Helen adjusted Odakira's sash on her shoulder so that it hung more comfortably. The guns and the spare ammunition clinked softly as they bumped against each other. She blinked as she listened to Moira bark orders, and smiled softly as she examined the kitchen. She had no idea the chef could be so forceful, but it made sense since she had to run an entire kitchen. "How long will it take us to reach our destination, my good man?" she aked in same joking manner he had used with her. Helen felt Jo-jo's cold nose press against the back of her knee. "Oh, and my friend here would like to know if there is an in-flight movie playing." |

I'm sure there will be some form of entertainment onboard." Odakira replied to her questioning. Once Helen was standing, he gestured to a curtain from the kitchen that would lead her to the seating compartment. "Just make yourself comfortable and I'll see what I can do." Then turning away from her, Odakira grasped the edge of the vehicle's trunk, and lifted it upward forcefully; tearing it's lock off and opening it. Inside layed a red cooler that was surely filled with cooled medical blood. Reaching down, he picked it up and went inside the jet through the cargo room and kitchen. When he got to the seating area, he set the cooler down in a chair and continued through the aisle till he reached the cockpit. Two pilots were pressing random switches and communicating with the aerial tower for clearance and what not. It wouldn't be too long now.
Odakira turned around to face back towards the cargo area, and spoke out in a volume for everyone to hear, "You all might want to get ready for the take off, we'll be leaving very shortly..." Odakira looked around for a moment with a disgruntled expression, then asked himself, "...Where's Chris?" |
