"What the hell!?" Chris shouted just as the cart slammed into his side, nearly knocking him off balance. Actually, he rather wished it had because now he felt something excruciatingly hot spilling onto his person.

In that one moment of chaos, Chris lost two things: his control over the nano-plates along with the mirage (which only lasted for a brief second) and his control over his ghost eye (which stayed open at the begging of his good sense). Chris stepped back and to the side with demonic speed to dodge the rest of the deluge. Then, taking his sense of courtesy into account, his hands darted out to steady the cart and bowl to keep the disaster at a minimum.

"Argh," Chris growled in protest while his human image re-alligned. "What was that? What was that? How did this happen!?" he shouted.

[quote:4366df0dd4]Everything is his real body. The illusion is created by layers of smart platelets on his body so he does not only look human; he feels human. Texture, warmth, pigment, everything is taken into account for a flwaless image. Of course that's really all they do, and they're only formatted to facilitate his form so changing his image to other people is kinda out of the question[/quote:4366df0dd4]

"Oh, wow, I'm sorry. I didn't know I hit a person," Moira muttered apologetically. She saw the man flicker to a hideous mass of wires, and then back to himself. Or rather, probably the other way around. Nothing at Hellsing was as normal as it appeared.

She took off her cheap dishwashers' jacket and tossed it to the man. "Here, wipe yourself off. My soup seems to be causing you some trouble."

Moira touched her bare shoulders. What would it feel like to take a break from wearing that damn jacket? What would it be like to go out on missions like she used to? Moira desperately wanted an excuse for a break.

She had to engage in the proper niceties so she could deliver the remaining food to the guests.
"I haven't seen you around here before. Probably because I've been working too much, but... I'm Moira Forsynthe, the head chef here. You are...?"

Christopher caught the jacket without effort; his ghost eye was wide open. Then, he proceeded to try and wipe the soup from his leg but it was already seeping in. Under average circumstances, Chris would have treated the hot soup as a minor discomfort, a flair in his sensors. Now, with the coverings, the soup was scalding, uncomfortable rather than noticeable.

"My name is Ky-" Chris paused. "Christopher. Christopher Valens. That's my name. I'm a... mercenary of sorts. I also work as a free surgeon. I'm back here for both of those reasons. That and I have a little attachment to this place..."

Chris paused to inhale and contemplate his choice of words. She did not seem to know who he was at all. How he had helped rescue Helen. How he had allied with the resident vampires to fight the Nazi ghouls.

"Head Chef, eh?" Christopher echoed. "So there are people who don't eat live food here after all"

"I didn't know Hellsing had a chef

"Unsure of your own name, Chris?" Moira smirked. "I used to be a mercenary, too, before I became head chef. I'm thinking about quitting my job and going back--it would be a hell of a lot easier, that's for sure."

Moira continued, "It is true, many here prefer to... prepare... their own meals. But most like the convenience of fresh, extra-rare meat to order."

She paused to read a tag on one order of food. "With the exception of one Helen Thames. She likes her pork medium-well, so I'm assuming she is human."

She grinned, an only slightly abnormally sized canine poking above her lip. "But you, Mr. Valens, are not... Nor am I."

"Rare?" Chris noted. "If this meat was any rarer it would be grazing out on the-"

Chris paused. Not human? How could she possibly see through his mirage? Chris briefly contemplated scanning her brain waves but thought better of it; if she could see through this, there was no telling how she would respond to a quick thought-reading.

"Not human?" Chris said, expertly masking any surprise in his voice. "Are you accusing a poor, blind man of being something other than human? Because I am human, through and through. And what are you to judge me?"

"A dhampir. Called a dunpeal sometimes. Half human, half vampire, we get a good mix of the senses of both. You flashed before me for a half-second when my soup hit you... it was enough." She smiled, and adjusted the cart. "And no, I am not accusing you of anything. You are you, no matter what name or form you take."

She wheeled the cart down the hallway, and turned down the next, toward the guest dorms. "Now where are they...?"

Christopher watched the meal-dealing creature walk away from the broadside of his extra-sensory vision. Strange, he thought, how does such a being come to exist?

But this was none of his concern, no matter how strangely fascinating a subject it was. He had to find at least one of the resident bloodsuckers, he could use their help for his next mission, a phase of his personal quest. But where to start?

Christopher looked back at the exiting woman. Then he curled a fist in front of his face; he could faintly hear the clicking of metal, the gadgets that were imbedded in his arm shifting position to make way for strings of muscle, flesh and fabricatted.

"Dunpeal..." Christopher grimaced. "Weird"

OOC:timewarp! *wavy effects and weird teleportation sounds* wrrrroooOOOOorrrroooggggg!! :P

Having just been in his seat for a moment, Odakira's room became filled with the noise of clattering porcelain, followed by a few shouts. Both of which was not familiar to him. With a small bow of his head, and another gesture to the chair before Erika, the white vampire stood and made his way to the door. "Have a seat, this should only take a moment." Odakira whispered as he then exited.

Turning down the hall of which he heard the noise, Odakira found the girl wheeling the cart past himself. With a quick sniff of the air, his keen senses were able to determine that she may be either Vampire or Dunpeal. He could smell the last savoring aroma of blood on her breath. Simply walking by her, he came to see the blind man before him. Strangely he was 'staring' at his arm.

"You seem to be quite lost my friend." Odakira exclaimed with a smile upon his face. Bringing a hand up to scratch his chin as his golden optics glanced down at his walking stick, an inquisitive glare amongst them, he proceeded, "You're blind, yet you managed to get this far? Either you're a very important, or deadly man. May I ask what brings you here?"

Odakira could sense something within this man, but ignored it. From what he could feel, this man had a familiar aura to him, but it had changed on both a spiritual and physical scale. This man was indeed strange.

OOC:How'dya like my new icon? :D

Moira stopped the cart and turned around. "Excuse me, mister, but do you know where," she read off the guests' names, "are? Their food is getting cold."

That voice, Christopher noted, he knew this one. In fact, he killed it once before.

"Hello, Odakira," Chris said, his eyes roaming freely in front of him. "Don't you recognize me?"

Of course he didn't realize. Christopher looked quite different now, like the Jekyl to his Hyde. Well then, maybe this Vampire could help him with his next task. And maybe he could help him find the others first.

Blinking, as well as giving a small shake of his head, Odakira then just recognized this man. His aura was now familiar, and known. Giving a playful slap to the shoulder of the 'former' beast, Odakira could feel the strange plates under his 'skin'. "Nice look you got going on there Kyphus. I take it your mission went well?" But before he allowed the 'man' to speak, he turned back to the lady that strolled the cart to answer her inquery.

"Erika resides just around that corner. As for Miss Thames, she's two rooms down from there. Mernov and Jeanne are together I believe, I'm certain you know where they reside." The white vampire spoke clearly, giving a small bow of his head to the lady to turn around and face Kyphus again. When doing so, he nearly laughed as he took the second look at him. It was strange to see him walking around with a stick and such. At this moment, Odakira pictured that Kyphus would use one of his long scaley claws torn out of his hand to use as a guide. This was almost as unbearably humorous as it was a surprise, but the vampire held back his chuckle as he awaited his friend's response.

"Oh, OK, thank you," Moira said, bowing and returning to the cart.

She wheeled around the corner, and dropped off the food in Erika's room- putting it on the table and then leaving, eager to get to the next room. She distributed the rest of the food, along with the tableware. But where were the people who should be in these rooms?

Ah, well, maybe she just didn't see them.

She started on her way back, but she stopped when she heard something. Footsteps?

"Yes, I believe that my mission has taken a new step," Christopher remarked. "What you are looking at now is me about two-hundred years younger and whole. My real name is Christopher Valens. Kyphus was the name of the machine" he explained.

Christopher wanted everyone to know his true name, he no longer had to hide from the world behind a false name and a grim visage. He was a new man rather than an old creature of nightmares. All he had to do was avoid his own gravesite; that could upset a few people.

"So, what have the vamps been up to?" Christopher asked brightly. "Actually, fill me in on what's been happening as we walk. I'm kinda hungry after several days of MIA. YOu have no idea what I went through to get this thing..."

"You've missed quite a bit." Odakira started, turning about and leading Chris down the hallways, explaining along the way the story of Wolfgang and Erika.

"Wolfgang has finally met his demise. Surprisingly, the human managed to kill him." Giving off a small smirk, the white vampire spoke to himself, "She would make an excellent partner in the Organization. Or a vampire."

Now turning to the halls of where his room resided, Odakira continued, "Shadow was injured though. Just a scratch. As for Erika, she has decided to heed the rules of this Organization until Victoria says otherwise. Till then, we must keep a close eye on her. Yet even still, we are still trying to figure out this Cult of Talona that brought about the ghouls." After having said this, Odakira and Chris had reached his room, and the white vampire opened the door. Allowing Chris in first, Odakira shut the door behind himself and turned to see that the meals had been placed on the table from the cook. Looking to Erika, Odakira gestured his arm to the table as he spoke to them both, "Take a seat. Enjoy your meals."

Remembering that Chris was 'blind', he quickly helped him to his seat at the table. In his mind, he couldn't help but nearly laugh at this 'New-Kyphus' , but he had to play along.

Looking up at Erika again, Odakira introduced the newcomer, "Erika, this is Chris. He has some business with the Organization, and will be joining us for dinner."

After helping Chris, Odakira sat on top of his coffin-bed, looking upon the two as he waited for something to happen. At the time, Odakira had nothing much to talk about...

Erika, having been lost in her own thoughts for several minutes now, was brought back to reality upon Odakira and Chris' arrival. She shook her head weakly at the offer of food, wrapping her arms around her waist as if she were cold. "No. I'm fine, I can't eat right now." Shifting her weight back to her feet, Erika lifted herself up from the bed and stepped over towards the door. "If I'm not needed right now, I'll take my leave."
