He wanted information, and who better to know dark vampires then another dark vampire? Upon rematerializing, he was in the same room as Wolfgang (he had scryed him out before misting over), and his gun was already drawn and pointed at Wolfgang, and Charon was preparing to leap at him, snarling but staying put.
"I hate to interrupt you, but I need to ask you a question." Shadows said somewhat angrily. "I'm going to ask fast so your little subordinate won't attack me from behind, so I want you to tell me if you know of a guild of Talona." He sighted carefully, so that even if Wolfgang tried to attack, he could stop him. OOC:and i missed a page again...jeez. I apoligize for THIS suckage, too |

A slight buzz in the back of her mind told her that he had peeked into her thoughts again. She felt a pang of annoyance that her mind could be read like an open book. No eye contact, she thought to herself.
“Fate is nonsense, Odakira,” Helen said in the same crisp voice she used in the classroom. “There is no higher being who plotted out anyone’s entire life before he or she came to live a mortal life. Indeed life can be compared to a path, and there are other paths to follow, but it’s still my choice which path I take. I chose to walk my dog in the middle of the night, and now I’m here…” Jo-jo whimpered, and pawed her knees. Helen glanced down at him and realized that she had stopped petting him, and then she started to scratch him behind the ears. “Now, I know I cannot change the consequences of my past actions, but there is nothing stopping me from going back to the path I once led.” It's not too late, not yet, she bit her lip. I just hope I don’t get fired, or getting back on that path will be a little harder. |

"Please... just go." she beseeched him, turning her back to him to kneel upon the concrete floor before her bed. "I'll stay here for as long as I can... thank you."
Erika finished her sentence and laid her head upon the soft cushion of the mattress, hoping for the vampire to take his leave.[/color:409f51f71e] Elsewhere in Hellsing Manor, Jeanne stirred. Her soft, crimson eyes fluttered open as she blinked several times. The girl licked her lips, shivering from the slight, alluring taste of dried blood upon her lips. She sat up as the lid of the coffin rose, pushing herself over the edge of the bed. Jeanne streatched and yawned, using her fingers to delicately push her bangs into place upon her forehead. "Mas..ter..?" she whispered, glancing about the room as she stepped towards the door, looking left and right down the hall. OOC:Jeanne lives! |

His head was lowered, lightly leaning amongst the tip of the barrel of the Luger in his hand. His face was emotionless and gaunt, and no where near surprised of this man in his vicinity. His eyelids then closed slowly, his red optics only to gaze at the picture once again with the opening of his occulars. With a small shrug, the vampire allowed his telepathic thoughts to be thrown out of his mind and throughout the room to the enemy; his voice was weak, yet the volume of which he threw out his message was deafening and thunderous.
"I have no one anymore... Expect nothing of me, and leave." His words were simple, yet they could not nearly scathe the sorrow and madness that was plaguing his mind at the moment. Wolfgang was so far driven into this lamentation within that he sight was betraying him. Of course he could see the man before him, but couldn't make out his face. For all was a blur to his vision in mind and reality.[/color:06a62a8fe4] Odakira allowed a soft chuckle to Helen's words. She did have a strong opinion as to what Fate was. He stood to his foot, and fixed his robes so that they may comfortable wrap about his body. He turned and asked, a mischievious grin amongst his facial complexions with the words he spoke, "When you prayed that night, and I came to save you, do you consider it coincidence?" After all, it would be highly unlikely for such an abomination to God to answer the prayer of a human. The chances of it being coincidence would be highly misunderstood. He cleared his throat as he allowed a low bow to the woman at the bed, his hair overshadowing his face as he did so; speaking out in his rich, usual tone, "Well, I must take my leave, you need your rest, I'm sure." To this, his swiftly piveted his feet, and was at the door in an instant of his pace. Opening the door and taking a step out into the hall, he glanced back at Helen, his golden optics clearly exposed in the darkness around him. With a nod of his head, his voice filled the room harmonically as he spoke out to her, "Good night." Then he shut the door. Having sensed Erika earlier, he thought it might be a good idea to talk to her. He glanced down the direction of the hallway of where he could see Mernov standing at the door. Obivously the door to the room of where his 'old friend' resided. Odakira leaned his shoulder against the wall by Helen's door, and glanced down at the vampire. Waiting. |

"It was a consequence. He came as an answer to my prayer... didn't he?" Jo-jo made a strange noise in the back of his throat. "I knew you would," she smiled, set him down on the floor, and crawled over to the middle of the bed to lay down.
After a few moments her eyes opened, and Helen let out a frustrated sigh. Her body begged for sleep, but her mind felt too awake to care. She forced herself to sit up once more, and her attention turned to the pile of books on her nightstand. Walter must've forgotten to take them back to the library, she thought to herself as her fingers brushed against the bindings while her eyes read the titles. The Organization of Hellsing, Nofestaru, The Children of the Night... The Holy Bible?? She gently took it from the middle of the pile, and examined its pages. How did this get here? the teacher thought, and then she settled back down in the middle of the bed. She read from Isaiah, one of her favourite books besides Revelations and Psalms, until she finally fell alseep in a sitting-up position with the book laid open in her lap. Jo-jo noticed her mistress had drifted off again, hopped onto the bed. He crawled slowly over to the woman, and rested his head and front paws on her lap next to the open book. OOC:And she's asleep again!! -.- |
| Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Now it was Shadows turn to roll his eyes...or at least, until he glanced at the pain in the vampire's eyes. He raised an eyebrow, but then it clicked. Mernov's illusion game. It looked as though the Nazi pair was no more. He again turned his thoughts to the look in Wolfgang's eyes. How can a vampire feel sorrow, or loss? He could see no soul in those crimson eyes, and yet he was feeling emotion. Shadows knew something was amiss. How could one without a conscious feel? As far as he knew, few vampires (Shadows being among the few) had souls. He looked again. A small fragment, fast dissolving, was all the soul this vampire had. Shadows thought on it, and finally understood.
If they had been close in life, then some part of it would have followed into their undeath. But now that they had given it up, any soul they had was fast dissolving. He would no longer care anymore, the only emotion he would come close to feeling was anger. "Look, buddy," Shadows said, trying to hurry this through before Wolfgang's soul dissolved all the way and he would be a formidable opponent again, "I would be sorry for you, except you tormented an innocent whose life is still in danger. Speak quickly, or I'll hand you over to Hellsing's interogational hells!" OOC:i still have not a thing |

Eerie was the only word that could explain the feeling, the area emitted an unfriendly coldness around Shadow's figure. Wolfgang's mind was uncontrollably manipulating the environment. The vampire was still seated, and remained unmoved. His eyes were sharply displaying the sorrow that brought his soul further into the abyss of darkness within himself as they made eye contact with Shadow's. The tall Nazi then stood straight from his chair, the hand that held the gun helped pushed himself up, his other hand resting at his side. With a blink, his eyes were now looking at the floor below the man before him; his facial complexions was like an unchangeable portrayal of sadness. Another mental message spoke out to Shadows like a sonic boom; it made the room vibrate on a dimensional scale. Everything within the room seemed to shake and bend impossibly as the words rang out, only to return to their original forms and shapes at the end of Wolfgang's words,
'I won't speak until the answer has come.' The tone of the message was monotone and cold, but piercing as it spoke out due to the effect his mentality was giving off within the room. But to this, Wolfgang's face changed to an expression of confusion. Lost in the thoughts and memories of old and much happier times. As to the answer, it was of the questioning he asked of Erika. Wolfgang was intent on waiting for her words. Thirsting to hear her sweet melody more than blood itself.[/color:f8949bb3d3] |

Little tricks with telepathy far from impressed him, he was capable of far worse. His patience was wearing thin, and if he did not get his answers soon, he would have no choice but to destroy Wolfgang. A soulless vampire would only be a menace; without his piece of soul, he would no longer care about Erika, or life, only destruction.
"I am over three times your age, fool!" Shadows response came back a withering blast of telepathic energy. The room turned a dark red, and warped into a demonic hell. Shadows voice boomed again in Wolfgang's head. "SPEAK!" |

The hell-ish display of Shadow's power meant nothing to him, nor changed his thought. His facial complexions unstifled by what he saw. His crimson optics slowly lowered to gaze at his charred finger, tilting his head as he did so. Nothing mattered much to him, he was at the climax of his decree of sorrow; emotionless to all he took in around him. He cleared his throat, for it was dry as he gazed back at Shadow's figure, then spoke, "You're age means nothing to me. Nonetheless, your power. Only one thing matters to me, and that is Erika."
Bringing up his hand, he threw back some of the messy strands of his hair that were hanging in his left eye. Speaking out again in a whisper, he asked of the vampire before him, "...How does it feel to be... blank? Lost in between the thoughts of serious consequences if not repaired in time? Why should I help out your organization? After all, they took my love away from me, and wish to save another?" Wolfang let out a sigh, then his eyes widened as he slammed the reddened surface of his desk with a closed fist, his eyes widened with hatred as he shouted in rage. Black sparks shot out from his figure, coming into contact with the walls, only to leave dark holes that penetrated Shadow's hell, "Other than my already broken life to live at stake, what is it I gain from this!?"[/color:8a7e0273d4] |

"I cannot say." Shadows answered, after a moment. "However, in a few moments, I suspect dealing with you will become simpler. Don't you understand? You are a vampire, a child of the night, past the point of death to the point of no return. The only reason your life seems broken right now is because you hung onto one part of your soul after you were turned, but by the choices and mistakes you both made, your souls are passing on at last, and soon, you will only care about yourself. This is no threat, and nor do I say this with any joy, I am only trying to open your eyes. Your life may seem ruined, but I doubt you'll be saying the same thing to me in a few minutes. If it comes to that, I may have to kill you." Shadows looked at the broken thing in front of him, knowing it would soon be a monster again. "Such a waste..." he muttered. "Why did you make this of your life? Even vampires can make themselves into something, and yet you choose this path...what a shame..." And worse that you will never have a chance to correct it, Shadows thought. |

Once again whole again, he found himself looking down upon his apprentice, who was awake and alert. His eyebrows rose in curiosity, for he had expected her to still be resting. She continued to surprise him, seeming to be full of vigor and having an ever-improving endurance. Once again, Mernov couldn't help but be pleased with his apprentice and her potential abilities. However, now was not the time to dote upon her, although Mernov mused that there was probably never such a time.
"Awake, are we?" asked the tall vampire in his rich, resonant tone. "You continue to surpise -- I had expected you to rest through the day. So, do you have any particular reason for not resting?" OOC: total blah. Oh, and dan, if you see this and I forget to tell you, Erika wouldn't lose her soul the way Wolfgang would, because she apparently hasn't become a true vampire yet, since she seems to need to drink WG's blood to be free |

He couldn't allow her to become his apprentice, but for most, he needed to stop thinking about it. He removed his hand from the knob of the door and glanced down the hallway again to see Mernov's figure vanishing into the darkness. As to what door he walked away from, Odakira could sense that Erika was behind it. Maybe it is a good time to talk with Erika. It has been... 60 years since our last chat? He gave a shrug to this thought, and made way to the door through his long strides. Along the way, he remembered what all had happened between him and Wolfgang; how the century of love between the Nazis was demolished in one night. It was sorrowful, yes, but Odakira couldn't comprehend love really. He was grown on a more instinctive sense to life, or this unlifely life he lives, than a life filled with emotion.
When he came to the door, he allowed his slender gloved digits to wrap about the brass handle of the door. His other hand curled up and knocked against the door softly with the brim of his knuckles. He then pushed open the door, and quickly shut it behind him. Odakira's eyes gazed up at Erika with a usual gaze, a gaze so friendly in it's display that she had not seen for a long time. Odakira managed to give off a small smile in a warming matter, for he could see in the weakened soultrail of Erika that sadness rolled off her body like a waterfall. He pulled up a chair from the table and sat it down softly on the wooden floor, and with a fluant motion, he sat himself down comfortably in it's hospitality. He leaned forward, and intertwined his fingers together while his elbows rested amongst his knees. He took in a breath, and paused for a moment, then spoke out in an almost silent voice, trying not to be so abrupt to Erika's sorrow. "...It's nice to see you again Erika." Odakira tilted his head to one side, his hair falling lifelessly over one eye, his pupils widened somewhat, displaying concern for his old friend. "...but not this way" He added on, escaping into the silence to await her reply. In the current emotional state she was in, he didn't want to risk her doing something drastic. [color=brown:642059a64c]Wolfgang felt a sharp pain within the depths of his chest. He quickly brought his free hand to hold himself at where the pain resided. Letting out a low growl as he clenched his teeth. His eyes looked up at Shadows, his pupils were nothing but mere specks as they began to glow an almost neon crimson. Within his sight, he could not see the vampire no more, but only vague images of past memories flashing into his vision and already troubled mind. He could feel something within him being torn away, for soon a darkened aura overcame his body. "Errg... I'm not..." He whispered in a meager voice, struggling to keep on his feet, "I'm not.. giving up on.... you." He finished. One of his legs then came out from underneath him, rendering him kneeling behind the desk he once stood at. His hand that clenched the Luger slid slowly from the desk to lifelessly fall onto the ground. Within the confusion and frustration of his thoughts, he could only weakly send out another telepathic message to his lost love, beckoning, "Erika... I think I'm dying... Something is being torn away, I can feel it... I ask once more... Return?" His vocals was nothing but a mere whisper; weakened in every perspective, and dying out as his power was leaving him. Wolfgang remained motionless as he began to pant the air within the room; struggling to keep hold of himself and his sanity.[/color:642059a64c] |

I wish you didn't have to see me this way either." The girl slowly slid her hands down her face, smearing the bloody tears that steadily fell from her eyes. The Nazi pushed aside her golden tresses, sighing heavily as she stood up, stepping over to stand in front of Odakira. She laughed weakly, smiling through her tears. "I always thought we'd be together, y'know..?" She was about to speak again when Wolfgang's pleading voice entered her mind once more, causing the cracks in her fragile heart to lengthen and shatter the girl's spirit.
Erika crossed her arms over her chest, gripping her sleeves as she fell to the ground on her knees, crying out in, not physical, but emotional pain. "Just LEAVE ME, Wolfgang! There's nothing left with me any longer; I'll be killed by Hellsing in only a matter of time.. you'll find yourself a new girl while I suffer, still your charge as I lay here, DYING.", she replied, her thoughts entering Wolfgang's mind in his last moments of sanity.[/color:6db0df0071] Jeanne jumped at the sound of Mernov's voice. Pivoting on her foot, she turned to see him and frowned weakly. "W-well... I felt fine.. s-so I woke up and went to try and find you.. I wasn't sure if you'd still want me to train or not.. so.. I ..." she mumbled, wringing her hands. |

He entered into a rage like none other to the pain of 'life' being torn from his body, and to hear that his love will die. The Nazi found the strength to suddenly stand at his feet, and with a loud roar, which sounded demonic in it's vocalization, the black aura made his figure vanish into a shade of darkness. Almost in an instant, Wolfgang reappeared beside Erika; stumbling over his footing like a ghoul. He noticed Odakira had his hand amongst her shoulder, adn had no idea what his intentions were, so in a reaction, he swung out his arm swiftly and smashed into Odakira's chest. With this attack, he sent Odakira's figure out of his chair to fly into a wall with a loud thud.
Sluggishly, he fell to the ground before Erika, the blackish and tainted aura steaming off his body eerily. He weakly brought his hand up to stroke her cheek as he did before, but his hand fell to the collar of her shirt. His eyes, which seemed a pure red, narrowed slightly and his brows rosed. He then whispered to her in a barely audible voice, weak and in pain, "It's... still there... Will... it always be...?" His voice echoed, the Nazi struggled to keep his conciousness intact as he waited for the answer, his head weakly raising to view Erika's face once more, only to fail and hang his head low.[/color:d3ff901ae2] Odakira leaned down, placing his hand firmly amongst the shoulder of the cringing figure of Erika. He opened his mouth to speak, but soon found himself indented into a wall of the room. Whatever hit him, he could not tell, nor sense it. Darkness and evil was all that came from what touched him though. His golden eyes locked onto the smokey figure of Wolfgang, surprised to have not sensed his presence at all. As he stood straight from his embedment, he remained silent and watched the sorrowful display between the two. It was sad to Odakira as well, to see his former friends in such a way. Worse even, not being able to do anything about it. |

Erika's left hand, though trembling, slowly rose to grasp Wolfgang's tenderly, and she used her other to cup his cheek in her hand, raising his head to that his eyes may meet with hers.
"It... will always be there. That is, I will always love you, Wolfgang." she replied, her voice weak. "B-but.. look at you now. You're consumed by the remants of your soul; you won't be the same for much longer." As she finished, Erika began to sob softly once more, smiling through her sorrow. "..
