Nothing but a smile was adorned upon Wolfgang's facial complexions. All these memories, how they could be so easily implemented on glossy paper and be able to send memories of old rushing back into the cortex of one's mind. He thought to himself at times that it might of been better for him to have not joined the military at all, and stay with Erika through them times. After shuffling through the photos slowly in his grasp, he brought them up to his nose to take a wiff of the antiqued aroma they held. The smell of nostalgia burned into his mind, the many days he spent with Erika, the letters he sent and received, the long walks, their tree... Everything.

Letting out a breath, he turned and spoke out lightly to Erika, replying to her comment about her dog, Hans. "He was a good dog too... I promise when everything gets settled, I'll get you a puppy just like him." To this he placed his index finger amongst her chin, playfully swiping his finger across her skin, lightly grazing it as he did so only to lower himself and place a kiss on her forehead.

Taking the picture that she held out to him, he instantly remembered the moment they had their picture taken at the tree. It indeed was Odakira who had taken the picture that night. His smile faded to a more broadened expression, his optics narrowed slightly as the memory came to him.

"I remember this..." He said, his forlorn expression matched perfectly with his tone of voice, "Odakira took this, it was the night of my first mission after he had trained me. At that time, I always found it strange that he came about only at night. That's until I found out about the Nosferatu."

Breaking away from his words, he stroked the picture lightly with his fingertips, a small residue of dust clung to his digits and made a clean streak amongst the the photo. Rubbing the dust in between his digits, he dropped the thought of Odakira from his mind, soon to smile again at the expression that his love had amongst her face. "Hm, you look so beautiful when you're asleep." He then glanced over at her, his eyes displaying an array of seducing lights as they locked with her own.[/color:b9289dbd95]

Odakira fell from the top of the building, soon to land gracefully without a sound in front of the school doors. Beforehand, he made sure the coast was clear of students, which seemed so at the moment. He simply leaned against one of the door's posts as he waited for Helen to leave. He crossed his arms and gazed back up at the night sky, a small breeze blew over, causing his hair to conceal half his face in it's wake. His golden optics narrowed slightly as he began to feel troubled about something.

He shook his head, and let the thought slide as he then turned and leaned his head against the concrete post he leaned against. Waiting...

“I’m sorry, Miss Fairwood,” Helen said firmly to one of her students. Her hair fell over half her face, concealing the cruise on her cheek. “I will not give you an extension on the paper. It’s due on Monday like all the other papers, and that’s final.” She was leaning on her desk, and staring hard at her student, who looked like she might burst into tears.

“B-but, I-“she stuttered.

“Good night, Miss Fairwood,” Helen said, her voice became slightly cool. “Have a pleasant weekend.” Fairwood nodded, and turned away and hurried out of the classroom. Helen heard her hiccup a little as her pupil began to cry. The professor massaged her temples as she finally found herself alone. She turned and walked to a small closet, and opened it. Jo-jo slept soundly on the floor until the door creek, and then he barked happily as his mistress knelt down to pet him. He licked her face vigorously causing her to laugh.

“Ok, ok, stop it,” she chuckled, and stood up. “Let’s go find something to eat, Jo-jo.” She grabbed her umbrella, and made sure her bruises we’re concealed before she left her classroom. Since her home was currently a crime scene, she would be sleeping in her classroom, so she made a mental note to find a blanket from somewhere.

Helen was deep in thought that she didn’t notice that Odakira was leaning against a wall. However, the vampire did not escape the notice of the Labrador. His hackles rose and he growled furiously at the strange, white-robed man. Helen’s right hand flew to the handle of her umbrella and she began to slide the rapier out as she whipped around. Her eyes widened slightly as she saw who Jo-jo was growling at. She slid the rapier back into its sheathe, but her hand stayed on the handle.

“Good evening, Odakira,” Helen said pleasantly. “How are you tonight?”

Erika hugged Wolfgang by wrapping her arms around his neck at the thought of a new Germah shepard puppy. After her excitement had died down she released her grip on him, looking upon the photo he held. She felt a slight brush creep across her cheeks as he commented on her face when she slept. "Danke.." she whispered, slightly embarassed. Erika pulled out another photo and grinned from ear to ear. It was a picture, again most likely photographed by Odakira. It showed Erika who, at the time, seemed to have been not paying attention. Wolfgang was grinning, his lips pressing against her cheek. She laughed at the expression on her face; she looked shocked and embarassed.

Erika turned to Wolfgang and chuckled. "I remember that.. I was trying to get Hans to behave, or something.. and you kissed me! That was the first kiss you ever gave me.. I thi--" The clock suddenly struck seven at night. Slightly startled by the sudden chime, Erika turned to look at Wolfgang, frowning. "I guess it's.. time to go..." she whispered, resting her head on his shoulder.[/color:4c0b8614af]

Wolfgang's smile vanished, fading into his game face. He nodded sternly to Erika, the lights within his optics faded as he stood with her in his arms. Allowing her to the ground with ease, he turned and walked back out to the hall, where Moloch had resided it's unwieldy figure, awaiting his master's call. Coming to stand beside Moloch's bulkiness, the tall vampire simply equiped the large weapon once again. Resting the cannon on top of his shoulder, his arm wrapped around the barrel of the weapon. He turned with grace in his footing, despite the heavy gun he bore, his facial complexions grim as he stared back at Erika with worry in his eyes. He spoke out in almost a flat tone, seeming cold and sharp to the ear,

"You know you must stay..." To his words, he threw out his hand, static soon started to emit around Erika's figure, soon to conform and become a barrier about her form. Lowering his hand, he gave a brief explanation to her in a regrettable tone, ashamed of what he was doing, "This shield will break if I am to die... You know that. If it does break..." Wolfgang allowed a moment of silence, knowing that the possibilities of his return were slim, but he had no choice. His eye's faded into nothingness, his head lwoered slowly only to snap up once again. He spoke out softly as he glanced directly into her eyes with his sorrow-filled occulars,

"Forgive...me..."

He then turned slowly, and kicked open the door to the mansion, soon to close it behind him, so if sunrise does come, Erika won't be basking in it. Wolfgang shook his head, his grim expression coming back as he inhaled a breath of the cold night air. It was time to start this. Closing his glowing crimson optics, black sparks emitted around his figure, followed by an orb that surrounded him, and vanished.

'I'm here... Mernov...'

Wolfgang found himself at the door of the Hellsing Manor. He looked about to see some of the security had tightened from last night's ordeal. A group of 12 men had scurried to block the door, their guns unholstered and ready to fire.

"Freeze! Don't move!" One officer shouted, raising his gun to point directly at Wolfgang's chest. The tall vampire simply shook his head, and rose the cannon of the weapon at the group of men in front of the door, his finger loosely fitted over the trigger.

"OPEN FIRE!!"

Shots rang out, bullets traversed the air only to be stopped by the dark barrier that Wolfgang had swept up in front of him within the instant. He let a toothy grin express his rage, his eyes widened as he pulled back on the trigger. His figure slid back a few feet, and his shoulder was thrown back slightly.

Leaving it's chamber like a rocket, the large shell shot out of it's cannon much like a mortar. It traversed the air at such a great speed, that it couldn't be seen by the human eye, but Wolfgang watched as the now-molten shell tore through the air slowly in his thoughts, only to tear through the stomach of one unlucky guard. As the shell came into contact with the door of the building, it rang out an enormous explosion. The whole front end of the building came collapsing down as fire raged and threw out of where the shell contacted. Pieces of the wreckage flew at high velocities, Wolfgang simply tilted his head to one side as a brick flew narrowly by him. Allowing a bone-crackling snap to emit from his neck, he straightened his head, his face remained unchanged in expression as a gust of smoke and dust engulfed him.

'Knock knock'[/color:2cf2e0d160]

"I am fine, Helen. I see that you seem to be doing better." Odakira said in a respectable tone. Standing straight from the wall to stand beside her. His eyes focused onto the blade at which she had soon concealed back into her umbrella. He noted it was silver, but it wasn't annointed or cursed, so it wouldn't be of much use against vampires. That wasn't the point of the matter though.

"We haven't seen much more of Wolfgang or Erika." He paused a moment, staring up at the night sky again. Something in the back of his mind sensed that something might go terribly wrong tonight. Shaking his head lightly, and letting a sigh escape his mouth, he glanced back over to Helen with his usual piercing occulars. "I shall escort you to wherever you need. Consider me your bodyguard for tonight." To this he let a warming smile come acrossed his face.

Nonchalantly, he took her right arm into his, and began to take to his stride. He slowed himself so that he may not be dragging the woman behind him. As they left the premises of the school. Letting out another sigh, glancing up to take a look to both ways of the road. He didn't move though, he didn't know if Helen used a vehicle, or walked. He then turned his head to look back at her, a troubled look displayed upon his facial complexions. He then glanced up, his eyes deep with concern to the choosing of his words.

"Helen..." Giving a slight pause, he spoke up, "...Do you trus--"

The ground shook suddenly, followed by a roaring thunder from the distance. Odakira turned swiftly as his keen hearing caught where it came from exaclty. It came from Hellsing Manor!

'Damn!' He scolded himself, 'I should of never left the Manor!!' His jaws locked and teeth gritted under his mouth, soon to turn back to Helen and speak out in nearly a shout, "We must get you someplace safe, now!"

Mernov awoke from his slumber with a start, not bothering to open his coffin but instead phasing up right through its lid. Things remained silent thusfar, but he sensed a great and troublesome occurance was nigh. He left a telepathic message within Jeanne's mind to not leave the room if she awoke, and, with a quick flourish of his left hand, locked all her doors from the outside. She was most certainly not ready for this. The tall vampire checked his coat pockets for spare ammunition, though he sensed it would not be necessary, and removed his bottle of "wine," placing it underneath the stone floor, in a hidden compartment that only those who could move through walls could reach. He looked in a full-length mirror near his closet and straightened his tie, an act which was almost comical, as he was about to enter battle.

Suddenly it hit. A loud, explosion which came from above -- the grand entrance to the manor, Mernov noted annoyedly. He didn't even have to scry the location to know who it was that so rudely interrupted his sleep. It was Wolfgang, who had returned, hoping for revenge. Mernov allowed himself a chuckle as he prepared himself, readying the powerful illusionary magic that was his specialty, and which he had not had the pleasure of using in a great long time. He would see what this loud explosion was all about, and then make his move. The tall vampire felt his mouth water slightly with the idea of the coming match. He only hoped he wouldn't be disappointed.

In seconds, Mernov was in the midst of the dust and smoke. His aged vampiric powers allowed him to see quite clearly, of course, but the smoke did leave room for interesting effects. As such, the tall vampire walked forward, towards the location of his opponent with a surprising calm. He didn't even have a gun drawn; in fact, his hands were behind his back, each clutching the opposite arm's elbow. As he stepped wordlessly and emotionlessly over the bodies of his comrades, each dripping with blood and debris, he began to wonder greatly what sort of weapon his opponent had brought. And then, he saw it. Mernov was now perhaps a meter in front of the vampire Wolfgang, and grinned as he saw the weapon which this man wielded. It was rather humorous, for not only was the thing mammothly big and equally unwieldy, but it was also surely just as slow to operate. Mernov couldn't help but let out a loud, rich, and rather evil-sounding laugh.

"Indeed!" the tall vampire shouted as he finished his hearty guffaw. "And I suppose this "weapon" uses blessed silver shells, mercury tip, depleted uranium, and what-have-you." Mernov laughed mockingly yet again. As he spoke and laughed, he walked slowly but not provokingly, so that his opponent's line of sight no longer included the mansion. While he never particularly enjoyed the thought of working for a human, he respected his master and admired the manor in which he lived, as well as those who lived there. "Might I ask, young one, are you perhaps compensating for a certain deficiency or other?"

I don't want protection, she thought rebelliously. I don't need to be watched over like an infant. I'm twenty-seven for crying outloud! However, the vampire had taken the time to find her, so she dedcided to play along for tonight. Her warm green eyes glanced at him as he sighed. Obviously, something was bothering him, gnawing at the back of his mind.

Helen blinked as Odakira wisked her away from the school. When they stopped to cross the street, she looked up at him. His eyes were still troubled as he serched for words. He reminded Helen of a student when he was trying to give her an excuse on why his paper was late.

Helen's head snapped toward the direction of the explosion. Now what? she thought to herself as her heart skipped a beat and her eyes widened. Odakira seemed to be panicking, then again everyone was. Jo-jo was huddled against the back of her legs.

"But I want to come wi-" she stopped herself in mid-sentence. I'm only human, I'll only slow him down, and get in the way. It will be better for the both of us if I stayed behind, she admitted reluctantly to herself.

"I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself, Odakira" she said with an edge of stubborness in her voice. "Just go, and take care of whatever needs your attention. I'll be fine." She pulled away from him. "Why are you still here? Go!"

Sensing Mernov's presence coming closer and closer to him, Wolfgang's smile allowed a small and low chuckle to sinisterly fill the dusty air. Hearing the enemy's 'applaud' as he described the weapon that he wielded. His unchanged expression finally shifted, his wide grin opened as he spoke out to Mernov, "You know your weaponry, good..." Lowering the cannon from what now was pointed at Mernov, to the ground, he replied in a more maniacle tone, "But this is something you've never dealt with before, my friend."

As for Mernov's insult, Wolfgang stood, his thoughts and appearance unscathed by the words of his enemy. The etiquette he was trained with during World War II was very enduring on a physical and mental scale. But to this, this was different, this was a time to allow a little pleasure for the exchange of insults. "I believe the only person here lacking of anything would be you, my dear friend. I believe the correct term they use is 'brains'."

To his left, the shuffling of two armored guards, and a security officer were traversing the debris of the explosion. Simply lifting the cannon within his one arm, his thumb flipped the switch for the shotgun. Pulling back on the trigger with his index finger, a loud BANG filled the air. The pellets of the shotugn tore through the armor of the guards, and took out a meaty-chunk of the security officer's leg. Whipping the cannon about, almost in a brandishing manner, he allowed the cannon to rest onto his shoulder, his other arm came up to rest his hand at his side.

Letting his grin open to speak out once again, "There is much more to Moloch than you know, Mernov. Though it may be heavy, in a vampire's grasp, one can surely be unstoppable."

Within the cortex of Wolfgang's mind, a low rage was building, the man he wants to kill is standing before him. When Wolfgang had snapped the night before at the cemetary, it seemed his mind became toughened, yet his spirit more maniacle. This would play a plus in this battle, he knew. 'To know thy enemy and know thyself'... [/color:57f76c8a60]

Odakira gave a quick nod to her, his eyes narrowed as he started to think of something to do when he would leave. He turned about again to see smoke rising into the dark sky. Gritting his teeth under his mouth, he bent his legs then jumped straight up. His figure traversed the air gracefully, his white coat flying about him like a set of wings. Erupting into a glow of light, he transformed into his raven form, and vanished into the night sky with a swift brandish of his wings.

As she had watched Wolfgang leave, Erika had fallen onto her knees. "WOLFGANG! STOP!" she shouted, struggling to run after him. She gritted her teeth and fell onto her side. For about half an hour Erika merely laid there, muttering curses in her mother tongue as she thought about what to do. Eventually Erika was fed up with merely sitting there, and she began to struggle with the barrier that her love had formed around her. "He didn't..." she muttered to herself, pushing her arms against the barrier, "have to do this..." After almost an hour of pushing against the barrier, Erika fell back down to the floor, feeling a crimson tear fall from her eye and onto the floor.

What was going to happen to Wolfgang...?[/color:16d7548a82]

OOC:I have an idea of something she'll do later.. just a filler post cause Martin asked me to post XD

"Indeed," said Mernov tersely, though without a trace of irritation in his voice. In fact, if anything was betrayed by the way he spoke, it was amusement. The tall vampire stopped moving, his back now facing the longest stretch of lawn between the Nazi before him and the gates surrounding the manor. "I am the one called stupid, when you are there, attacking a mansion with soldiers trained to destroy your kind. Cute." He paused, allowing a toothy grin to cross his face, as though voicing his thoughts made them even more amusing. "On top of that, you wield a monstrous hunk of metal which undoubtedly has a rediculously slow rate of fire and whose ammunition is, without question, much to slow to reach the target you seek and also limited severely, in all probability, based on that bag which you wear upon your back." Mernov allowed himself a chuckle before continuing. "Thusly armed, you even waste your ammunition, firing it upon flies who likely be unable to harm a vampire if your calibur anyway." To this, Mernov looked down at the ground, shaking his head in disgust. "No, my dear boy, I think it is not myself who lacks intelligence. I will leave it to you to find out just who this is, if you are up to the task." The tall vampire ended this sentance by offering Wolfgang a wink.

Undaunted by this vampire's display of strength and control, Mernov looked on without even the slightest change in expression as "Moloch" was fired and twirled about, like something out of a bad Kung Fu movie. The tall vampire sensed that tonight would be a night for speach and explanation, as this young vampire before him obviously needed to learn a few things. While he thought it troublesome to do so, Mernov felt it his duty to teach the poor sot said things, as Mernov was the one being targetted. Though he began to wonder how anyone could be as ignorant about the things which Wolfgang appeared to be ignorant about, Mernov quickly stopped and reminded himself that not all vampires had lived as long as he. His grin still upon his face, the tall vampire prepared to comment on Wolfgang's praise of the ginormous weapon he wielded.

"Unstoppable, you say?" came Mernov's question, in a tone loosely resembling that of mockery. "I doubt that sincerely. Even for a vampire, the weight of such a thing is, at least, combersome and will undoubtedly slow your speed. While you can apparently hold it and move it with ease, the fact that a couple hundred kilograms of weight is now upon your person remains. Your agility will be lessened, I will give you fair warning as you do not seem to understand this yourself. At any rate," Mernov continued after a slight pause, "I sense that you are putting too much stock into your weapon. Trust it, do you? Fine. I am not responsible for your lack of judgement." Mernov's toothy grin changed slightly to become a rather ironicly warm smile, like a doting father looking upon his daughter. The first bit of explanations had been given, but as with all students the question of comprehension and acceptance was still up in the air. The tall vampire mused that the next set would be even more difficult to accept. This only made him happier.

Unmoved, as well as unscathed, Wolfgang remained motionless, his face stood petrified in it's complexions. Not of fear, but of stubbornness and headstrong. His mouth need not open, for he thought to himself that the tall vampire was bluffing. He did not feel overencumbered whatsoever, nor slowed by the gun's weight. Allowing a moment of eerie silence, nothing but the wind blew lightly, causing the vampire's clothing to brush to one side. The smoke between them wavered softly in the air at a height about their waists.

Wolfgang brought up his foot, pushing it forward lightly as he broek the silence with his boot grinding into the dirt ground before him. Bringing up the weapon from his shoulder, swinging it out onto the top of his hand, allowing it to spin amongst his knuckles. Snatching it to a stop as his arm was held out towards Mernov's figure, snapping his fingers into a tight fist as he allowed the gun to stop, straight out as the barrel of the massive weapon to aim into the stomach of his enemy. His fingers comforted themselves in the grasp of the weapon's handle, allowing one eye to shut, and the other to narrow slightly as it locked tightly onto his foe, using the notches of the cannon as if he were aiming at something from afar.

His other hand, which had slid from his waist to his side began to emit black sparks. Within the cortex of Wolfgang's mind, he had had a plan built and ready to take it out upon the vampire before him. After all, the vampire did seem to know quite a bit about speed and weildy equipment. He would need a back-up plan for incase this would fail. Leaving his expression masterfully still, his finger pulled back on the trigger, the cannon emitted a large flame as the shell left it's cannon. [/color:ec23828139]

Shadows helped Kyphus back to his..."feet." As soon as he did, though, a large explosion rocked the foundations of the manor. Shadows merely rolled his eyes, knowing he wouldn't get any fun from this battle at all.

"So soon?" he asked quietly. "Jesus, this kid has no brains." He turned to Kyphus.

"Sorry, I've got to go watch this...er...'fight' that is about to happen. You see, our angry Nazi friend holds a giant weapon of some kind in his possesion; I saw it while I was scrying just a little while ago. My guess, he wants payback for what Mernov did to his little tagalong. Unforetunately, neither of us can join in this battle, it's Mernov's fight anyway, and I doubt he'll need us. Even so, I'm going to enjoy watching this." He dissolved and reappeared close to the carnage, well, not extremely close, but he could see and hear the fight from where he sat.

The tall vampire frowned when he saw that his opponent wasn't even paying attention. The boy had a lot to learn, but it appeared he was going to be stubborn about things. Perhaps it was time to continue anyway; the next bit of discussion would likely be much more attention-grabbing than the last. However, things being as they were, Mernov had to act upon the oncoming shell. It would be a shame, Mernov mused, to waste ammunition deflecting it when not absolutely necessary. Thus, the tall vampire kicked up a nearby rock, which he caught and threw at the rocket-like projectile in one swift motion. Before the rock hit, however, Mernov vanished into mist, to reappear behind his Nazi attacker, on the other side of the glowing arm but still close enough that he could speak in almost a whisper.

"Now now," said the tall vampire mischieviously, his hands once again behind his back, "let us not be so eager to die. We still have much to discuss." Mernov allowed a toothy grin to play about his face as he continued to speak. "Firstly, you seem to have some great hatred for me. You do me wrong, good sir, for to my knowledge I've done nothing to wrong you. Let us converse about what crime I have done you." He expected he knew the answer, but for Wolfgang to say it himself would make things much easier. It would also likely bring the man into a greater fury, all the better to be brought back down from.

Shadows grinned as his friend destroyed the missle before it could do real harm, and then popped in behind Wolfgang. He could see the smile on Mernov's face. He couldn't hear what was being said right now, but he knew that Mernov liked to play mind games, and figured that this was another one. Shadows smiled again and them frowned, suddenly, puzzled. There was something he had forgotten. He cursed his random memory and strained his thoughts to find out what it was. His eyes widened suddenly. How could he have been so stupid? He brought his palm into his forehead, hard. His charge! He knew he should have reminded himself again, but after he had returned her to the Manor, he had gotten lost in the heat of the nazi battle and had only just remembered. Stupid stupid! He vanished instantly.

He reappeared a distance away, nearby the school teacher and her dog. He crossed his arms across his chest to try and seem as docile as possible. Neither Helen nor Jojo would have seen him before, so they could be suspicious of a random vampire.

"Forgive me, Ms. Thames." he said, carefully choosing his words so as not to appear threatening. "My name is Shadows, and I hope I did not startle you..."

After Shadows had vanished...yet again, Kyphus was left to lope through Hellsing manor looking for food with no real idea of where he was going.

"Damn Vamps. leaving a deranged creature of metal and flesh to idly wander their own home, what could they be thinking?" Kyphus scowled. But of course, they trusted him because he helped them. But the woman was in danger, a human woman at that. Kyphus really did not care what the others did, besides, he had a mission. He needed to track that vampire.

According to Odakira, Alucard was the one. Strangely, Kyphus knew of this vampire. He also knew he was not one to tangle with. So where did that leave him? Well, he could always return to Italy with some other vampire's head and sprinkle it with gunpowder, effectively mimicking the vamp in question. But would they fall for it enough to give him what he needed? Ah hell, it didn't matter, he could always just go back and kill them all anyway...

"Now," Kyphus hissed. "Where did everyone go?"

A strong gust kicked up as the smoke from the explosion huddled about the Nazi's figure. This time, the kickback of the weapon's firepower did not budge Wolfgang's stature. Sensing Mernov's movements keenly, he could tell that the shell did not contact his enemy from the distance it had bursted and how his senses felt his foe's presence disperse, only to reappear behind him.

The enemy's words echoed in Wolfgang's mind as he spoke, but not to dissuade him of his attack. The vocals reverberated in his cortex only to fuel his rage even further. He couldn't stand him, after what he did, it was unforgivable. The vampire's reddened eyes glew immensely, the sparks that emitted from his left hand became thicker and stronger in their power. Snapping his open hand closed, a barrier formed over him in an instant, this one not an orb in shape, but conformed over him an inch from his body.

'Fast one... Let's see if he can dodge this.'Wolfgang thought calmy within the instant his barrier covered him, his lurid mind remaining in check to his rage.

Spikes. Jagged spikes that seemed to have branched out of his form without notice shot out from the barrier around him. The dark spears flew out in a 20 foot radius, allowing a brandishing light to reflect off their figures, only to shoot out even more spikes from the larger ones, resulting in a thorn bush of darkness around his now-concealed form.
