Erika, while aggitated at the fact that the vampires she and Wolfgang challenged felt far too weak to even fight themselves, ignored the young vampire. "You fool. Just shut up and behave, junge. I don't need to waste my time on petty children such as you." she said, grinning toothily. She spat at the ground near his feet, frowning.

OOC: oh that was blah...

"Hmm...Unlike you Vampires, I see everything by devices that I don't even know," Kyphus replied in an explanatory tone. "Sounds, movements, and emotions, I can see them all in my field of vision. I know exactly where you are, what you may be thinking and the exact angle your feet create"

In truth, Kyphus could sense everything around him. He had tried so many times to figure out how but, even though he designed this body, he did not know what it would be like to live in it until the accident.

"Actually, I have an idea," Kyphus anounced. "I wonder if there are any Nazi soldiers to de-port"

Shadows stopped smiling and glared icily at Erika. Insulted by her word and her spit, he got to his feet and locked eyes, his face a mixture of anger and disbelief.

"Junge?" he said, his eyes not leaving hers, "You are hardly one to talk, seeing as you are hardly even qualified to be a vampire. You were probably still alive during the 3rd Reich! I have lived over three centuries, and you have the nerve to call me a young one? Insolent brat." The anger left his face and he smiled again.

"Mernov..." he said, as his turn to grin toothily came, "If this punk beats you, you will never hear the end of it." Once he had finished, he heard Kyphus' suggestion.

"Ah, of course!" he said. He turned away, but made one last shot at Erika first.

"I suspect your Fuhrer will not be happy when we beat you and your goons into the ground." He turned back around and walked with Kyphus to the gates that held out the Nazi soldiers.

Nazis. So many Nazis. So many to beat down. And they were so eager for a fight even against a creature of the night and a creature of a dark technology. Maybe they did not have the wits to realize what they were getting into. Maybe they had more tricks up their sleeves than Kyphus had in his body. Still, there was only way to find out.

"Challenge ya, Shade-boy," Kyphus shouted as he broke into a chimp-like gait. "First to 50 might not get killed by the Nazi's" he laughed.

Shadows hadn't even stopped to check the odds. He walked right up to the rusty gates and kicked them off their hinges. The old relics flew into a crowd of Nazi's, killing three.

"You're on, Metal-head." he said with a fanged grin. He wouldn't need his gun for this, they were humans. He threw himself into them like a black-cloaked whirlwind. He counted to himself as they fell.

"4...5...6...7..." he said, his fists swiftly nailing three soldiers in the nose and the last one taken out by his heel, right between the eyes.

Kyphus tore through several soldiers with his claws before turning around with all the haste of a lightning bolt. Then, taking his steps, Kyphus launched himself into an entire charging throng of opponents and cut them down with his feet talons. And yet, there seemed to be more...

"Something's wrong," Kyphus shouted over the din of battle. "They just keep coming, with no end. This is not natural, one thing I've learned from my centuries of fighting is that armies always dissolve with time"

Maybe these soldiers were not what they appeared. On the other hand, maybe Kyphus was imagining things.

OOC: yarrr! I finally return X3 I blame reading the Hellsing manga that Martin so wonderfully found for me :D

Erika narrowed her eyes and frowned, bringing her chrimson eyes to meet those of this mysterious vampire called Mernov. She put her hands on her hips, planting her feet onto the dying ground beneath her. "Well... it seems that you all failed to keep your part of the deal, ja?" she said, grinning toothily. The Nazi took a step towards Mernov, still locking her eyes onto his. "Even still... you claim to have worked under der Fuhrer.. so why are you fighting against us? Surely you can't see any point in fighting with these..." she trialed off, looking over to Shadows and Odakira. "...I don't even know what to call these things... they aren't vampires, I'll say that much." Erika crossed her arms momentarily, and ran one of her hands down Mernov's chest.

"You'd be a valuable asset to our Reich, you know." she said, grinning.[/color:55baf5863f]

While Mernov instinctly felt as though the easiest thing to do, now that the objective was completed, was to return to Hellsing Manor he decided that this situation could prove interesting. He felt no need to stay any longer, as he was not interested in Shadows' and Kyphus' petty challenges, nor did he feel a particularly strong desire to help Odakira. While he somewhat enjoyed the thought of teaching Wolfgang his place in the vampire world -- something which became necessary after his foolish feat of catching Mernov's bullet -- he decided that such a grudge was, in the end, rather childish and below him. Besides, Jeanne would probably be missing him.

This Erika character intrigued him, however. He suspected that the motives behind the seduction which she seemed to be attempting were either to catch him off guard so that she could dispose of him easier, or else to bring him under control of her "master" whom she seemed so loyal. Mernov, however, had other plans. From her reactions to his words earlier, he sensed an oppourtunity to test her loyalty and her resolve -- as well as see just how far across the line between human and vampire she'd truely come.

The tall vampire slid one of his powerful arms around the waist of the young girl before him, pulling her delicate body towards him slightly; his grip, though firm, was still gentle and smooth. He placed his free left hand upon her upper arm, sliding it up and across her shoulder, then onto her neck. Using the same gentle force he'd applied to her waist, he brought her head closer to his, ever so slowly, as he leaned in slightly towards her. His eyes flashed in the pale light of the moon, seeming to glow seductively as he looked into her eyes with a look of charm and passion. His lips parted slightly to reveal his shining canine teeth, over one of which he slid his tongue, as though he could taste blood upon them.

" 'Our Reich', you say?" Mernov spoke, his tone deep, rich, and enticing. He gazed into her eyes, his left hand sliding slowly up her neck to cup her cheek in it. "Indeed, perhaps I would have a lot to offer to... your Reich." He added extra emphasis to the last words, grinning toothily. As he continued to speak, he slowly leaned closer, the volume of his voice lowering softly in an enticing way. "I think our Reich could blossom into something beautiful and... powerful. It would be... explosive and grand." He took his time speaking now, allowing his charm to enchant her. "He would be quite proud of us... what we could accomplish." He was almost whispering now, their faces rather close. His right arm, previously at her waist, had been travelling up and down her back, just as slowly as his left hand had if not slower. His left hand had now curled around, so that the tips of his knuckles slowly caressed the soft skin of her cheek and neck.

Erika, who was fairly pleased that her attempt to seduce the great vampire had succeeded, grinned as he pulled her closer. If the girl was confident in the prowess of any of her skills, it was her way of seducing humans and fellow vampires alike; she had never failed. And so it was with a toothy grin that Erika continued, wrapping both of her arms around Mernov's neck. She stood on the tips of her toes, ensuring that every word she spoke reached Mernov's ears. "Just think.." she began, her voice smooth and alluring, ".. with the connections I have, I could get you... a very high position.." she finished, feeling slightly lightheaded.

The Nazi wasn't very sure of what was overcoming her; her entire body felt as if it were on fire as Mernov gazed into her eyes. Surges of excitement ran up the vampiress' spine as the vampire's hand slowly massaged her back gently. Her legs trembled as his knuckles softly carressed her cheek. Erika felt the lids of her eyes fluttering slightly, and lowering such that she could still see, but her vision was blurred. What in the hell is going on.., she asked herself. She removed her arms from around his neck and slowly ran them down his chest and back up again several times.

"You should.. join us, Mernov..." she whispered, feeling what blood she had rushing from her brain; she felt dizzy, and speaking was difficult. "Staying with these... poor excuses for vampires does nothing but demean your... real power..." Erika finished, her delicate hands gripping the jacket Mernov wore so she would not fall. The... hell...? Is he.. no.. there's no way...

Odakira stood finally after the damage he was dealt. His eyes narrowed, and soon started to shift into a red phase. His teeth gritted tightly under his mouth as he let out a low growl. He forcefully struck his hand up into the air, his fingers spread open, exposing his palm to the sky. A swift gust of wind poured about from everyone, coming into contact around Odakira's body. His white coat began to flutter and flap about him roughly, as well as dead leaves from the ground that cycloned about his presence. A thunderous roar emitted from the sky, and a light flickered from above. A massive streak of lightning assailed from the sky into his hand, followed by a white explosion that consumed Odakira's figure, sending out a blinding light to all. After the flash had calmed, and the smoke cleared from where Odakira was; he stood, in his hand, a glowing white blade was wielded in his grasp. His reddened eyes glew with such immensity, his pupils could not be seen, nor the whites of his optics.

He took a step in the direction of Wolfgang, as his foot came into contact with the ground, a low thunder emitted from the sky, and the ground shook lightly. A small burst of wind kicked leaves up from about his pace. Not walking, but more likely setting his stance for his attack, Odakira slid his other foot back, planting himself firmly into the ground. His upper body leaned forward slightly, and his side-arm come down so that the tip of the blade grazed the ground. Small sparks of the blade statically struck the ground, showing that the blade was malicious in it's offensive force. He brought up his other hand in front of his face, the backside of it facing Wolfgang as the digits of it clenched and curled into a fist.

Thereafter, a strange light-blue stream of power emitted from his form like a dying flame. Odakira's domain emitted a low growl that soon built up to a warcry. He brandished his weapon and moved forward into a dash. His fiery white wings exploded from his back, and gave off a flap soon to shatter and fade at the end of it's efforts to propel Odakira's form into a blinding speed. His arm was raised, and in hand was his mighty weapon; he swung it down, using the velocity of his movement to back up the power of his attack as his swung into Wolfgang's chest.

Wolfgang's eyes narrowed slightly, in the back of his thoughts he knew what his rival was planning. He threw out his arm and gestured for Erika to back away, even though she was next to Mernov at that particular moment, for he knew this attack would have a devastating range to it's power. He looked back to see Mernov wrapped about Erika's figure. His eyes widened, and a sudden fire bursted within his thoughts. He let out a roar and turned away from Odakira, his banshee scream sent out a dark wave that blasted into Mernov's figure with great accuracy, just narrowingly missing Erika. He then took a step forward to take a hurried pace at Mernov.... Big Mistake.

He felt a cold and crackling slash cut through his back, it was the incendiary strike of Odakira's weapon. Wolfgang hurriedly turned around and 'lately' perried the rest of the strike. He brought up his foot and gave a swift kick into his foe's stomach, sending his figure flying upward with great velocity. The incendiary power left by Odakira's attack had then ignited, it blasted within Wolfgang's shoulder and blew a chunk of his left arm and shoulder away, followed by a fountain of his crimson fluids that spilt out to the ground below and beside him. His black coat soon drenched in a dark red, he lowly moaned in pain to himself, but his crimson eyes locked back onto Mernov.

He started to stumble over to Mernov, holding his dark blade in his good hand and arm. He didn't know what to think, was it betrayal? Was it a ploy of the enemy? Rage filled his thoughts, the pain in his body was ignored, for all he had set in his mind was Mernov's blood for daringly touching his love. He knew then that there was more to this event, and was going to end it before more of it could come about. [/color:3a72bd7e18]

Wiping a dead Nazi off of his claw blades (dragging his limp corpse against the earth, to be precise) Kyphus stood for a moment to survey the current situation. He had 37 dead and had one trick up his sleeve to finish the rest. In his mind, he sensed Shadows was doing well but he could not really tell due to the surrounding Nazis; too much interference in his mind's eye. Odakira was fighting a very powerful vampire judging from teh clashing energies. Mernov was being seduced by another vampire...hmm...that could be trouble.

While Kyphus was studying his scene something draped itself over his head. Kyphus twisted to vault the thing over his shoulders and onto the earth where he vivisected it with his claws. Then, he realized with some shock, that the thing he had chopped to bits was the same Nazi he had gored only moments ago!

"Shadows!" Kyphus shouted. "I don't think these Nazi's are completely human..." as he said this, four more Nazi's rose (even the one who had nearly been cloven at the waist) to resume battle.

Kyphus had enough time to groan just before he was tackled by the living dead.

"Indeed," spoke Mernov menacingly as a playful, mischievious grin curled about his face. His face leaned another centimeter closer, enjoying the effect his words and charm were having upon this young vampiress. Though she had great charm and her powers of seduction were undoubtedly great, she was still several hundred years too young to challenge Mernov. "My power is great, you are wise to seek it." He paused for a moment, his eyes staring deeply into hers. "However, these here are shackles to the power we could wield. The cause would be honored more if we made an army of our own, us, together. With our powers... combined -- " Mernov emphasized the last word seductively, and then paused slightly, moving closer still to the young woman "-- we would be unstoppable."

At that moment, he heard a strangely shrill, warcry-like scream from behind him and sensed a wave of energy being flung towards him. He grinned as he turned to face it, slowly sliding his arms away from the woman, though they lingered long enough to keep the effect alive. He licked his lips, his grin growing even wider, his teeth showing vividly as he looked at the attack. He drew himself up to his full height, sliding his legs together and putting his arms out to the sides as though upon a cross, hands dangling loosely. In an instant, he was obliterated entirely, with nothing left but a mass of blood and sizzling flesh upon the ground where he stood. The beautiful woman behind him, however, was unharmed, except for a few specks of blood upon her face and clothing.

Suddenly, however, the blood rose from the ground eerily, almost as though gravity had been reversed; it slowly dripped upwards, gaining speed. Soon it took form, and Mernov reappeared, clothes intact. His grin was just as it had been, toothy and malicious. His eyes were wild with what could be interpretted as hunger. He bent backwards and laughed a sinister, maniacal laugh.

"Marvelous!" He shouted somewhat throatily, his words reverberating throughout the graveyard. He let another laugh escape as he turned to face Erika, his eyes and face now full of passion. "My dear, it appears I have saved your life. Ironic, as I saved you from the man who recently ordered you to kill me! Hah!" He paused, then leaned in close to her, his lips almost touching her right ear. When he spoke, it was nearly in a whisper. "I shall return shortly, m'lady." He opened his mouth slightly, allowing one of his canines to play seductively upon her ear, sliding it carefully down her neck, so as not to puncture her skin. "Until we meet again, dear Erika." With that, he faded out of existance, reappearing on the other side of Wolfgang.

"Attacking your own?" the tall vampire spoke, his voice calm once again, rich and warm. "Disgraceful. Your anger has made you careless. If I were less honorable, I would join Odakira's fight against you." He paused for a moment, turning away slightly.

"However, I make it a point not to fight a foe who is already defeated."

OOC: there's not much I can do so.. I'll just describe Erika's current state XD; I guess.. O.o

Erika closed her eyes as he finished describing what their army would be like, her hands trembling as she grasped his jacket tightly. The Nazi thought she heard some kind of scream, but she couldn't be sure; it seemed as if the world were void of any sound save the alluring and entrancing voice of the vampire before her. Her chrimson eyes were glazed over as she saw him stand in front of her, and then suddenly dissapear in an explosion of ruby blood. Droplets fell onto her face and clothing, and yet the woman did not move at all. The blood around her pooled together and reformed into the vampire from merely seconds ago, and she smiled when he turned to her once again, leaning in closer than he had before. A quiet sigh escaped her lips as she felt his fangs brush up against her delicate skin.

He then dissappeared, leaving Erika standing alone in a daze. Erika found it difficult to form coherent thought as her eyes slowly made their way to where she saw Mernov, and another man she could barely recognize. Erika's lifeless head cocked to the side slightly as she wondered who it was. Her body still burning at the thought of Mernov, she rested her body against a nearby tree, watching the two men with her empty, lifeless eyes.[/color:b901ea59cb]

"I heard what you said, Mernov!" Wolfgang shouted, hearing the ploy that Mernov was trying to play lullingly into Erika's ear. He knew know it was a tactic of betrayal. "How dare YOU say that I am disgraceful, yet you try to swipe one's love away!?" He continued, his voice roaring lowly as his torn and tattered shoulder liquified, soon bubbling and returning to it's original shape. Wolfgang piveted his shoulder, allowing a crackling pop to emit from the joint of his arm socket. He gritted his teeth, a now unbarable fury had risen in him.

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW OF HONOR!?" He then yelled, sending out another cataclysmic scream at the vampire, his figure about the same as Wolfgang's height. This time, the wave moved faster and was piercing in it's density. It moved like a shadow, soon trailed by a heat wave, but it wasn't heat, but the twisting of space itself in the air as it traversed it's direction at a high velocity. [/color:fe1da82937]

Odakira had flipped at the arch of his fall, landing softly unto the ground, the crushing and crackling sound of dead leaves beneath him emitted from under his feet. He glanced up to see the Nazi vampire had brought Mernov's figure with a devastating scream. Mernov was lucky to stand back up, and seemed unscathed as well. He stood straight and began to run over, but feel to the ground as something grabbed his ankle. He turned around and gazed to see a skeletal hand had merged from the ground. He whispered to himself as he kicked the hand's grasp off his leg, "Not good..."

Mernov merely smiled as he heard Wolfgang's hasty speech. It became apparent that he thought of Erika as more than an apprentice and one under his command. Undaunted by neither Wolfgang's capacity for yelling nor the strength of Wolfgang's lungs, Mernov held his ground, crossing his arms across his chest. Hearing what this vampire was saying about "love" only cemented the tall vampire's suspicions. He prepared to speak, but before he could, the Nazi leader screamed again, sending out yet another wave of energy. To this, Mernov simply frowned, lowering his head as he brought his hand up to cover his face to express that he was almost ashamed of this vampire before him. Once again he disappeared, and once again he reformed. Though it took a slightly longer time, the difference was unperceivable and, as always, could have been purely for effect. When he had completely regenerated he was in the same pose as he was in when destroyed. Now, it was his turn to speak.

"Please, spare me," Mernov said authoritatively, his rich voice booming through the air. "What is this nonsense about love?" He looked over admiringly to the girl he had... spoken with not a minute earlier. He was pleased to see that she was in somewhat of a trance. Mernov smiled at his handiwork. "Look at her," he said after a short pause. "I have no doubt that she cared for you, and the way you are growing irrational and losing control it seems that you cared for her. Love? I question this." He paused again, letting this sink in. Before the enraged vampire before him could interrupt, however, Mernov continued.

"If she loved you, she would not have fallen for me so quickly," the tall vampire suggested. "I submit that her feelings for you, whatever they may have been, were brought on by your superior rank and power -- your charm, after all --" Mernov wiped some dust and blood from his jacket "-- could use some work. And don't kid yourself; if I had even so much as given her a slight mental nudge it would have been a waste of both our time, and would make this conversation pointless.

"As for honor, I know much more than you think. I've lived through several more centuries than you, and have known honor, or in the case of more than one person, a lack thereof. Do not question my honor, as you would no doubt get more in return than you bargained for." Mernov's expression now looked rather forlorn, as though recalling a horrific memory. At once, he looked more cheerful and back to normal as he continued to speak, "As I said, I'm not the one firing powerful waves of energy towards "the one I love," Wolfgang."
