"Can you be sure your sonic device would destroy the shield?" he asked cautiously. "If it doesn't..." He let his sentence trail off. "Maybe Odakira saw it before...he could offer a second solution if that fails...but he's gonna be out for a few more hours yet...damn." Shadows hated this feeling, the slow sensation of helplessness creeping in. As long as the sun was up, they couldn't get to them, and God knows what they could do to her in that time...Shadows slammed a fist into the stone wall, leaving a slight crater. He couldn't even mentally scry for them; they were hidden in a well covered base. Things were not looking good. |

She recognized the vampiress as her kidnapper from earlier. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she studied the man who had entered the room as well. By the way the woman made doe eyes at him she guessed that he was her master. He was tall, blonde, and very attractive, but his eyes were a startling crimson. What's worse than one Nazi vampire? she thought grimly as she smelled the faint scent of alcohol. Two drunk Nazi vampires.
"Good afternoon," she greeted calmly. The woman had locked and barricaded the door once more, so escape was completely impossible. However, the fear that should have been present was almost completely absent. By the way the vampiress spoke to her, she knew that she should be trembling at the thought of what they might be here to do, yet the protective shell of serenity never wavered. |

When he spoke, he quickly interrupted her words with a loud response of his own vocals, "NEIN!!" He shouted.
He cleared his throat, and took a step forward into the girl's direction, continuing in a more flat and normal volume, "I did not give you the order to speak," he continued as he turned from the woman's direction and grabbed one of the various fire-pokers beside the fireplace. He held it as if he were wielding a sword. "There are rules here you must follow, jung madchen." He threw the tip of it into a log, letting the iron of it become hotter and heat up more in time. He turned and looked to Erika, he lowered his upper body in a bowing form and gestured a hand out to the poker. "After you, mein Frau..." he said in a warm tone, though within them there was hatred and cold that represented his core of evil deeds.[/color:e3484d0a9e] |

"Indeed, I have great misgivings about entrusting our success to one device which may or may not work," Mernov said. Such a shield was bound to have a weakness -- everything did, even vampires. But what was it? "Shadows, how is your tiger doing these days? I have a feeling we may need to employ his help. These vampires, at the very least that girl, don't seem that old. Powerful, yes, but not necessarily as experienced as you and I. I've a hunch that with enough force, and the right caliber, we might be able to break their barrier." He paused, allowing time for the plan to sink in. "It's not the best, but at least it's an alternative in case the sonics plan doesn't work." |

"I will not follow your orders." Her heart began to beat a little faster as she watched the iron heat up.
This isn't good at all... She snatched another of the fire pokers but did not set the tip nto the fire. There was no way she would set down her only defense. She backed away from the fire, glaring at the woman, daring her to make the first move. She gripped the fire-poker firmly in her right hand as if it was indeed a rapier. It's just another competion, she told herself. We simply aren't wearing any padding, that's all. It felt heavier, and clumsier than her rapier, and the balance was all wrong, but it was better than nothing. |

"Dankeschon, Mein Herr." she replied, stepping from behind Wolfgang. Erika sauntered over to the fireplace and grasped the end of the fire poke. The fire blazed behind her slender figure, and her face was shaded, giving her an eerie appearance. "No one..." she began, pulling the poke out of the log, "... insults mein Herr in such a manner..." She was directly in front of the girl now. The young Nazi watched the girl hold the poke as if it were a fencing rapier. She began laughing, almost uncontrolably. "Surely you are kidding, ja?" she began. Erika held the iron poke in her left hand with ease and grinned from ear to ear, showing her fangs. She thrust the burning tip at the human, and somehow the human managed to dodge, but only barely. On the girl's left arm, she could see a hole burnt from where the poke had grazed her clothing. "Ready yourself, junge madchen. I am not like the other, foolish humans you have fought in the past..."
She turned to look at Wolfgang for a moment, smiled, and faced her opponent once more.[/color:597b7077f8] |

"Why, he's been dying to get out..." he said slyly. And with all that pent up energy..." He turned to Kyphus. "Build your sonic device, ask Walter for the parts you need. But if it fails, we do have a fallback." |

The sleep she had been able to get was coming in handy. She smelled burnt fabric. That was much to close... The vampire that watched from the shadows was almost completely non-existence. As far as Helen was concerned, it was just her and the Nazi.
"I will not waste my manners on either of you," she snarled, her warm green eyes turned into an icy sea green. "And I believe I am quite serious." She lunged and feinted to the left, but thrusted to the right at the last moment. Her feet throbbed slightly, and she wished the bandages hadn't been wrapped so tightly, and that the marble floors weren't so slippery. Most of all, she wished that she could be in her class room lecturing a room full of college students about the different meanings of the Pentacle. |

She pushed against the girl's weapon and pushed her back. Without hesitation, Erika lunched foward and aimed straight for the girl's abdomen. She clenched her teeth when, once again, the girl had managed to dodge. Erika stood straight up for a moment. "Fine. I was only going easy on you. Now, it's serious." she growled.
The vampiress removed her belt, and followed suit by unbuttoning her jacket and tossing it onto a chair near Wolfgang. I have to do this quickly. If I don't, I'll shame myself in front of mein Herr..., she told herself. Erika loosened her tie and took her stance. With almost inhuman speed she lunged foward once more, aiming straight at the girl's abdomen. "THERE WILL BE NO ESCAPE FOR THOSE WHO DISHONOR MEIN HERR!" she screamed, a maniacle and almost insane gleam in her blood red eyes.[/color:56d6b3982a] |

Luckily, she had been able to place her self near the fire while her opponent shed her accessories. She had formed a small pile of hot coals on the hearth. Time to fight fire with fire, she thought grimly.
"NO!" she kicked the pile up into her face, and dropped to she ground. She gasped in pain as the hot poker grazed the right side of her torso. There was a sickening sizzle and the smell of burnt flesh filled her nose. She gritted her teeth and picked herself up off the hearth while her left hand gripped her wound. She held her poker firmly, prepared to defend herself against the Nazi's next move. "Never attack in anger," she said calmly as if she was fighting a novice. "You'll fail everytime." She didn't mean to say it, but the words tumbled out of her mouth before she could stop herself. |

The woman stepped towards the girl slowly and steadily until she had her close enough to one of the walls. The Nazi shouted as she brought her iron down onto the human's arm. Instead of thrusting with an intent to pierce the girl's skin, Erika was swinging the poke as if it were a baseball bat; her intention was to burn.[/color:6859ee20aa] |

Nowhere to run... She gazed icily into her attackers fiery eyes. Her eyes darted to the red hot tip of the poker as it swung down toward her. She allowed herself to drop to the ground to narrowly avoid being burned. She rolled to her right to get away from the crazed Nazi and her poker.
This is no good!! I've been on the defensive since the beginning of the fight! There is no way I can keep this up much longer. In fact, Helen wondered why she lasted this long. Her breathing was heavy as she stood and prepared to block, yet another attack, and her face began to glisten in the firelight. Maybe she had gaurdian angel in the room... |

"Jedoch... nicht gut genug!" she shouted, shoving her foot into the girl's stomach. Erika grinned sinisterly; the girl flew back, almost to Wolfgang's feet. She could see that the girl was already growing tired and weary, and it wouldn't be much longer until Erika would emerge victorious.
"Geben Sie oben, madchen." she said, her voice low and foreboding. Erika kicked the poke from the girl's hands and held the burning tip near her throat. The Nazi inched the poke closer and closer to the girl's neck, only removing it when she smelled her slightly burnt flesh. Erika chuckled to herself, kicking the girl in the side before she looked up at Wolfgang. "War das genug gut, mein Herr?" Her hand stung as the poker flew from her hand. She tried to get away from his feet, but the poker made her back up until she she was trapped between the man's knee's and the hot iron. She gasped in pain, and then gritted her teeth and balled the flannel material of her pajamas into her fists. The smell of burnt flesh filled her nose once more, and made her nauseous. She hung her head in defeat as the victor lowered her weapon. She used her sleeve to wipe the sweat off her brow, and took slower breaths to try to get her heartbeat back to normal. |

He watched, a diabolical smile acrossed his face as he watched the young human suffer and resist the attacks. Fighting for her life. It indeed was quite exquisite.
Erika moved gracefully, she seemed to plague Wolfgang's mind as he adored the outcome of the prodigy he created of Erika. He could of swore that he felt warmth in his heart once again, after centuries of it being frozen to the lineage known as 'Nosferatu'. When the woman struggled and kicked the embers into Erika's face, he gritted his teeth slightly. He felt the heat of the embers as he watched, observing the tactics of the two fighting. When it came time that Erika relieved herself of some clothing, he walked over to the coat she threw into the chair, placing it over the back of it so that it may not get wrinkled. Erika seemed to have cherished every little thing that she had recieved from him. Could it be...? Probably not... He turned to see the body of the young woman at his feet, breathing and fighting to stay concious alone. He looked up from the tip of the poker, his eyes glanced up to see Erika, smiling. She indeed was a sight to behold. He somewhat trembled at his words when he spoke in reply to her questioning, giving a small and slow clap of his hands. "Das ist sehr gut, mein frau... Sehr gut!" He then bowed slightly to her in honor of her work, then continued, "I believe you have had your 'fill' for today, ja?" His eyes narrowed, expressing a playful emotion in them, seeming to have enjoyed in awe of her display in combat. He walked over to the chair were he neatly placed her excess clothing, picking up the jacket first and placing it over her shoulders, he then came around to the front of her and placed in her free hand whatever else she rid herself of. He then held out his free hand to take the poker from her grasp, and kneeled down to remove the other poker from the woman, taking them both and throwing them into the fire itself, so that the lady may have no weapon at her disposal. He walked over to the door and waited for Erika to follow.[/color:edfd779649] |
