Jean Louise stared at Wes coolly as he tried to deter her and Violet from coming. He turned out to be more of a party pooper than Violet. She didn't worry about the Erasers for two reasons. One: She wasn't going to tell anyone because as an outlaw she would not want anyone to spill the beans on her. Two: She had been in so many scrapes that she was fairly confident that she was too pretty to die.

"Yay!" Jean Louise clapped her hands when she eard they were coming, and joined Violet in her ceremonial lunch tossing. "This is going to be so much fun." She loved getting her way. Eventually, she peered into the basket, and tapped Violet on the shoulder, catching an apple on its way to the basket. "It's full Violet," she said to her friend. "I think we managed to get enough in." She wrestled with the basket for a moment, and managed to tie it closed. It was bulging in someplaces, and looked like it might explode if dropped.

"Well, I'm ready," she announced cheerfully.

"I can't believe I'm doing this," muttered Violet, more out of obligation than annoyance. She was risking a lot-- if they were caught, she could lose her job and what little she had in the way of reputation... but she couldn't help but look forward to this. Jean Loise was right, Violet needed a break from the drunken men, and what better way to get away than to help some bandits rob a train?

"I'm ready, too," she said, eyeing the heavy-looking basket. She handed it to Jean Louise... this picnic thing was her idea, after all. She could carry the basket. "Let's go, before I change my mind."

OOC: Wes wasn't trying to deter anyone, he was simply saying that they (the barmaids) probably didn't have any other choice but to go, or die :P

Wes rose an eyebrow to what Aria had to say about the donkey. He rather ride on a horse than a jackass anyway, so lucky him. Standing, the crimson cowboy unbuttoned his vest so that it would hang loosely from his upper body. Unholstering the two guns at his sides, he tucked the barrels of them into the waist of his pants (one at each side). Then taking the last revolver at his midback, he did the same; tucking the gun in his pants at his back. Wes unbuttoned the vest he wore so the gun's would not be seen so easily under it. It was slightly uncomfortable, but it would do.

Looking over to the barmaids, Wes shook his head and was tempted to smack his forehead as the packed up like this mission was some sort of picnic. He was sure they'd be changing their act if they were the ones robbing the train.

"I'm ready when everyone else is." Wes said as he adjusted his gloves. "This better be fun."

Vincent crossed his arms over his chest as the self-proclaimed "Satan" adjusted his attire. He watched as the man not only made himself look even more slovenly, but even put his pistols in his pants. The young man's brows rose in curiosity and surprise, both by the way Wes intended to "disguise" himself and the strange mixture of bravery and stupidity he was displaying by placing such dangerous instruments in such a sensitive area.

"Those... aren't loaded, are they?" the piano-man asked at last, unabled to contain himself. "Horse rides and train rides tend to get bumpy, and...." Here, Vincent cut himself off, realizing the kind of person he was talking to. "Well nevermind, I'm sure you'll just do what you want anyway, but at least I can say 'I warned you.'" As he said this, Vincent turned away as though irritated with Wes, unfolding his arms and walking quickly upstairs, presumably to his room. I've got an odd feeling about this, he thought to himself as he moved. Seems I've gotten myself into another mess.

When he returned to the ground floor just a moment later, he was no longer wearing his large duster. Instead, he sported a relatively unwrinkled suit-jacket, that went with his vest and pants. Instead of his trusty boots, he wore a pair of just-shy-of-freshly-shined dress shoes, and his hat was absent. In all respects, he looked like a respectable, though slightly travel-worn, banker. He even, as per George's suggestion, carried himself more upright. Instead of being relaxed and smooth about his movements, as was his norm, everything was precise and calculated. It was almost as though he'd been used to moving like a rich person, in some past life.

"What?" he asked, anticipating surprise at his change in clothing. "If I'm to carry myself like a proper train passenger, I shouldn't be running around dressed a torn up old coat and hat, now should I?"

OOC: Forgot to mention that he carried in his bag of stuff and his violin case, didn't I? I suppose he probably got it after putting Ashe in the stable. Also, for future reference, he has his 9-shot pistol wrapped in a handkerchief in an inner jacket pocket, and the Derringer is now in his right sleeve.

"Well excuse me." Wes sarcastically replied then waited for Vincent to return only to continue, "But at least I'm not staring holes into one who's changing, y'know? Besides, I've never had a backfire with these guns o' mine, I keep them in top condition."

Smirking to Vincent, Wes then walked over to the door and leaned against the door's frame; his spurs giving off their same rhythmic 'ching'. "Another thing, why would you care if I got shot anyways? And sorry I don't have some 'flowy long coat' or fancy suit to hide everything in." Wes gave Vincent a stern stare after he said this, knowing that Vincent did in fact have some sort of firepower on him. Only a moron would go on a robbery without a gun or two.

After a moment, Wes then eyed George and Aria and questioned, "We ready or what?"

"You two are beginning to sound like a couple of school boys rather than Mythic's men," Jean Louise said, rolling her eyes. She stepped out from behind the bar with basket hanging off her right arm. "Honestly, gain a smidgeon of maturity before the robbery. I don't want George or Aria hurt." She walked past Vincent and then Wes as she walked out the door, she looked into Wes' eyes- well, eye, and said, "We are indeed ready. We were simply waiting for you two."

"Come along, Violet!" Jean Louise called over her shoulder with a smile as she walked out the door. "You have to meet Jesus."

"We've been trying to get you all to go for the past ten minutes," Aria said, growing incensed. "For God's sake, stop picking over each other!" She shook her head, then walked (more like limped, all this stress made her leg tighter than usual) out to the stable to prep her horse. She combed it, layed its blanket on, and then its saddle. She then adjusted the girder straps just so--she didn't want to fall off. She finished by putting her bridle on her horse.

West blinked. "I've only seen Aria get that angry two times before." He coughed, saying, "Yeah, it's time to go." And then went out through the front doors to the stable as well. He combed Jesus and put his saddle and bridle on, also at the same time donning his sombrero. It may have only been morning, but the sun was already intense.

He and Aria brought their steeds out, to wait for their passengers, and Vincent and Violet.

"Hello, Jesus," Jean Louise greeted the donkey cheerfully. She offered him the apple she had stopped from going into the basket, and he inhaled it quickly and nudged her playfully. She laughed and patted his nose and scratched him behind the ears. "He's still a sweetie," she gushed giving him a hug around the neck.

She looked over at Aria and whispered over to George, "Is Aria going to be all right, George? I've never seen her like this."

Shaking his head, Wes followed everyone else outside to the stable. He noticed that Aria's limp had become more of a burden, that's when he heard the donkey's name. Wes wasn't angered to hear that a jackass, of all things, was given the name of a savior he had lost his faith in. To Wes, the name matched the creature perfectly, but he wouldn't like to ride the damned thing. A trace of a small grin could almost be shown on his face, but not for long as he turned back to face Aria.

"Are you going to need some help?" Wes asked, though it did seem out of character, he knew helping her would be for the best. If he weren't, he probably get lectured by that Vincent fellow. Not only was that man's voice irritating to Wes, he didn't want to create another argument. So, until they are given seperate assignments, Wes might as well put up a fake personality to keep everyone off his back... But then again, Wes could see a hint of himself when he was younger in Aria; starting to struggle, but continuing anyway. If he was correct, she'd also be stubborn, and deny the offer of help.

OOC: Note: I am a Christian, so please don't think of what I say of Jesus is what I think. I'm just sticking to what the character would think of him :S

OOC:No worries. It's roleplaying, after all.

"Jesus?" Violet raised an eyebrow as she watched Jean Louise cuddling the jackass. "Who names a donkey Jesus?" It was blasphemous, of course, but that had nothing to do with her surprise-- she hadn't been raised with a strict religious background. In fact, most of the spirituality she had followed her mother's Native teachings. Still, the animal's name seemed a possible point for conflict, given the earlier scene, so Violet said nothing more about it. "He's, uh, cute."

She crossed her arms and looked around her impatiently. If they were going to be back in time for the show this evening, they would have to leave soon. She certainly didn't want to lose her job over something like this.

"She'll be fine, I think," George said quietly to Jean Louise. "It's just... It's just that Aria is stressed out because of Wes and Vincent fighting." 'And Wes in general...' he thought, but of course he would never say that out loud.

"No thanks," Aria said to Wes, taking a running leap and getting on her horse in one swift motion. The oddity of his offering help did not go over her head--she wondered what he was up to.
Her black mare's saddlebags were laden with explosives, and so she said before Wes could get on as well, "Have you ever seen a toad get struck by lightning? Well, that's what'll happen to us if we don't watch the saddlebags."

George got onto Jesus. "I actually... stole him. I needed a ride out of a town I was wanted in, and he was tied to a mailbox on the outskirts of town. I tried every guy name I knew, but the only one he responded to was Jesus!" He said to Violet, laughing.
"Okay, Jean, get on."

"Let's roll~!" Aria called from her (much taller) steed. "Finally!"

-----CALIFORNIA, A FEW MONTHS AGO-----
"Mom?" Danielle called from the hallway. There was a small cough from her mother's room, and a hoarse, quiet attempt at speech.

"Dani..."

"Wha... what is it, mom?"

Sarah burst out in racking coughs. "It's my time," she breathed weakly, managing a small smile for her daughter.

"No, mom, you can't go! Don't leave me!" Dani screamed desperately, clinging to her mother and bursting into tears.

"Please don't cry, Dani," Sarah said, still smiling, but bursting into tears. "You have to be strong and live for me. I love you, and your dad so much... I'll... see you..."

Dani shivered and cried into her mother. "No! NO!!" She shook her mom, not believing it was true. But it was- Sarah West was dead of Tuberculosis, leaving this world with a smile on her face, but tears on it as well.

OOC:I'll cover the other Sarah's-death shat in the next post... either tomm or in 1 week...

"Ok," Jean Louise nodded understandingly. She smiled and clapped her hands when Aria jumped on her horse. Jean Louise the got up onto Jesus with a little help from George. Due to the skirts and petticoats she was wearing she had toride side saddle. Which was fine with her, she could easily hold her seat on a horse either way. She held the basket in her lap with one arm and her free arm held onto George.

"Let's ride!" she cheered.

Wes heeded Aria's warning and carefully climbed up her horse and sat behind her. It had been awhile since he had rode on a horse, so his instinct was to grab onto something for the ride. Wes scratched his head when he came to the decision to grasp the back-lip of the saddle instead of grabbing onto Aria. It wouldn't feel right doing something like that, and he was sure she'd probably smack him with that cane of hers if he were to do so.

"Um, ready." Wes said with slight nervousness in his tone.

'This is going to be one hell of a ride.'

Vincent sighed, greatly irritated by the man's lack of anything even resembling sense. Not only did he blatantly ignore the advice and concern of others, but he threw it back in their face as though they were stupid. Vincent knew this man's type well: the type that ignors others' advice, and complains about it when things don't work out right. But, there was no point in arguing. The man would end up dead someday, and Vincent certainly would feel no remorse. Anyway, the young man mused, I shouldn't be worrying over him not being able to reproduce -- that would be a blessing on us all.

He walked down to the stall where Ashe was kept, and opened it up. Walking in, he adjusted the blanket and rubbed Ashe's neck.* "Looks like we're going out on some sort of train robbery," he informed her quietly. "Not sure how it'll turn out, but on the way there we'll have a passenger, so don't be surprised." Ashe snorted indignantly -- so long as they weren't rude, she loved meeting new people. "Well anyway, I guess she and another will be leading you and another horse and... a donkey up the tracks a bit, so don't give them any trouble. They seem like nice people, but... well you know." Ashe seemed to nod, and Vincent nodded in return, leading Ashe out of the stall.

"Sorry, Ms. Violet, but Ashe doesn't have a saddle," he informed her, presently leaping gracefully up onto the horse's back. "Do you know how to get up?"

OOC: *I know nothing about horses. Yay!

OOC: Hey Dan, Wes has his guns at his sides and the other at his midback, it's just they're tucked into his pants, not in the crotch area just to let you know :P
