In any other circumstance he would not have been optimistic about the recovery of the necklace, however he sensed from the young senator a strong attachment, one on a scale of depth which was not often found in this massive city of filth and decay. He sensed fear from her, and what could almost be called pain. Katsushiro's immediate conclusion was that it had been given to her by someone very close to her, someone who probably was far away from her now. The Shadow felt his heart skip a beat as he quickly recognized the feelings she was feeling, and he felt horrible to have to tear her away from the search and was extremely gladdened when the female Jedi offered to stay behind.
"Yes, m'lady, she speaks the truth," Katsushiro said tentatively, choosing his words carefully. As he spoke, he drew from the calming powers of the Force to help ease her anxiety. "She will stay behind and search while we go to the Senate. If she has not found it by the time we get back, we can all return and look for it together, how does that sound? I promise we will find it!" OOC: Parmigiano Reggiano! O_o; |

The elevator reached the greenhouse floor once more, and the doors slid open. Within the room of the elevator stood Tegal, his arms neatly folded behind his back as he looked sharply at the many Jedi before him; his golden optics peering from one to another. His facial complexions seemed grim, and dissatisfied with the decision that these Jedi were about to make. With a small shrug, he let it out of his mind; after all he did tell them that however they got to the Senate, it was up to them. Tegal's eyes studied Kisa's figure as she seemed to be scrounging about for something. Taking a step forward, the elevator door's shut behind him and made it's descent. Something clicked in Tegal's mind though, he could feel a disturbance within Jidat's mentality. Something he feared. Tegal smiled his sinister grin once more while chuckling to himself in the back of his mind. 'So, there is a weakness afterall?' He thought to himself; keeping note of this to further exploit it if need be. "What is all this hustle-and-bustle about?" The White Sith questioned with a loudly audible tone, his head tilting to one side. He knew clearly that Kisa was looking for something just by simply tapping into her thoughts, and hearing the ongoing and repetitive question of 'Where is my necklace?' Smirking to himself, Tegal brought his hand from around his back and gave a simple wave of it. A slow breeze seemed to blow through the floor of the forest, as it did, many a cluster of mud clouts, broken glass, and some blades of grass levitated into the air. Tegal eyed through the floating rubble, and quickly snapped his finger up to a shining figure within the midst of it all. It was quite obvious it didn't belong amongst the greenish ground. With a small nod of his head, the blue-ish sparkle of the object quickly traversed the room into his grasp. Opening his hand, everything within the room feel instantly back to it's place amongst the ground as he studied the necklace. His eyes narrowed as it seemed somewhat familiar to him, but distant in memory. Giving off a shrug, he held out the necklace to the Senator, and spoke, "I believe you're looking for this..." As he awaited for Kisa to take it, Tegal eyed the other Jedi once more, and spoke out to them all, "Don't I feel like the 'unhonorable' one." His tone filled with sarcasm, "Besides... I'm the one who is going to help you all get to down to the bottom of something deeper than just me." Tegal took in a breath, and looked up to see his vehicle floating above the greenhouse perfectly still, looking back down to Jidat, he gave a small bow of his head, "Wow, Valet Parking. I'll remember to leave a tip next time." Chuckling at the end of his words. |

"I've had enough of you. It's clear to all that you're a bad actor; why not drop the facade? Why are you still here?"
Kylin took out her lightsaber, in normal mode, and pointed the purple beam towards Tegal's nose. WHOM. "Answer me in a direct fashion, without lies or waffling. If you do not, I will cut your nose off, and then your lips, and then your tongue. But I will leave your eyes and ears alone, so that you may experience people's horrified reaction to your monsterous appearance." She was bluffing... sort of. Kylin hated it when people took advantage of one another- and she saw that Kisa was very, very close to being taken. She liked the Senator immediately (even if she was a bit ditzy) and wanted to protect her. |

With a wide, silly grin she looked up at him and thanked him repeatedly, taking the necklace from his hands and placing it around her slender neck once more. The senator ran a finger over the cerulean gem and smiled, extremely relieved to have it once again against her chest.
WHOOM. Kisa's eyes shot up from her necklace and up to the large blade of light that protruded from the hilt of the light saber and pointed to the tip of Tegal's nose. Almost enraged, Kisa nudged the Sith back and stood in front of him in a protective manner. "Will you all just LEAVE HIM ALONE?!" she shouted, seeming more intimidating (though only barely; it was difficult to seem tough when one was as cute as Kisa) than before. "He's done nothing but help me since the moment we met; I think you are all just JEALOUS of how much good service he has done for me!" Kisa turned to look up at Tegal. "I have a right mind to just allow him to take care of me; at least he isn't wasting valuable time making constant accusations! For all we know there could be assassins surrounding me right now, and I could get killed in mere seconds!" Kisa finished and turned angrily, her back to the Jedi, as she headed for the elevator, her face red. |

"I... I am sorry you feel that way," muttered Kylin. One tear chased its way down her cheek... hopefully no one saw that. "I... I..." She couldn't say anymore, it felt like a rock had lodged itself in her throat. I can't choose her friends for her, Kylin thought. And I won't force her to trust me. But oh how I wish that bad things didn't happen to good people... |

It was almost mind-boggling how stupid he must have thought the rest of the party to be, Jidat mused, for he continued still with his lame guise. Though he generally preferred non-violent solutions to actions, Katsushiro found himself actively desiring Tegal's head. Not for a trophy, perhaps, for it was much too ugly and the expression too snide, but at the very least a large fire -- that, or the rubbish bin.
With haste, the Shadow master sprinted around to place himself directly in front of the distressed senator. He immediately fell to one knee, lowering his head slightly before opening his mouth to speak: "M'lady, I implore you not to act with such haste. Clearly you as yet lack the trust in my judgement which is needed for me to be a proper bodyguard, so my scolding you will certainly do nothing to deter you. However, consider this: While the Jedi and I may appear harsh or cruel to that Sith, we are truely doing our best to help you, just as he claims to be doing. "While my saying that he may be trying to lull you into a sense of false security can be used against us, consider this also: Jedi are well-known as peace keepers and always act in the best interest of people they protect, in other words, yourself. Tegal, on the other hand, is a Sith, a race eternally associated with destruction and chaos. I speak not to propagandize, but to warn; it is only the truth, and if you weren't so naive perhaps I wouldn't have to underline it for you, rat." This last word he added affectionately, with a warm grin. He anticipated that, were they partnership to emerge from this situation in tact, this nickname would be his nickname of choice for her, especially if she was irritating him in particular. |

As the light of the purple beam faded from his optics, due to Kisa nudging him back, Tegal watched her with some surprise to her actions. After she had made her little retaliation to the other Jedis and left, he gave a small bow to Kylin and the others. As he rose, his complexion clearly expressed mischief; giving off his usual smile.
"Yes... Shame on you." Tegal spoke out to them in a booming voice, bringing up his finger to point at Kylin and continued, "Jealousy leads to Destruction. Didn't you learn that at the Academy?" With a snicker, Tegal turned about and made his way to the elevator. As he came up alongside of Kisa, he stopped abruptly to the Shadow Jedi. Glancing down at the kneeled Jidat with a look of pity, for the man having to sink so low to try and prove his accusations, Tegal crossed his arms about his chest and heaved a sigh. "Again, I shall tell you." Tegal growled at the already more-than-abnoxious behavior of Katsushiro, "Yes, I am a Sith, Race of Evil, and all that bantha fodder... My intentions of helping are pure, but the actions I take in doing so may prove otherwise." Tilting his head to one side, as well as taking a small step to the side of the kneeling man. With his back turned, he gave out a lecture; feeling he would need to in order to make this irritating man understand, "If in a duel, my opponent were to drop his weapon, I would see it suffice to kill him for being so unskilled as to doing so, but..." With this, the White Sith turned around and faced Jidat once more, "My reason for being in the duel with him must be reasonable... Understand?" Before anything else could be said, Tegal held up his hand as to silence anyone before they could speak, and lowered his head, "Nevermind, don't answer... I have a feeling that I shall regurgitate my last rations if I am to hear another smart remark from you." Clearly the Sith was lying about his ways, and he didn't want to let any of his intention escape through the smallest passage of his complexion or tone, but was truthful about his comment to Jidat. Masterfully, he kept his plan hidden well within his mind, though it had been quite troubling not to kill any of those who stood within the room. Letting his hand rest to his side, he entered the elevator; leaving his foot in front of the door to hold it open. Tegal cleared his throat, and hissed out to the kneeled Jedi again, "Besides, I know for a fact that the dear Senator before you does not approve of such titles unto herself... I'd apologize before you get fired." Giving a small wink to the man, he gazed back up at young Kisa and gestured with his arm like a gentleman for her to enter the elevator; speaking out politely in his tone, "Shall we leave...?" |

The young Jedi was sick of this crap. He gave one look to Kylin, nodded, and then felt the force flow through him as he sent out a wave that would throw Tegal into the now open elevator. He hoped that Kylin had caught on and would add even more push to his throw, keeping the sith from getting out as the door closed. "Have a nice ride. Bye-bye, now!" Yuuki said, not in a good mood at all. |

She realized what Yuuki was trying to do and aided him by pushing with a sweeping motion backed with Force. "So long, Mr. Sith," she chuckled. REVENGE!! Tegal hit the back of the elevator hard, and Kylin swore she heard the breath leaving his lungs. She ran over to the 'vator and pressed the down button, before the Sith could get up to protest. The doors closed... DING~! |

Slamming into the wall behind him within the elevator, the White Sith gritted his teeth as he struggled off the push. Bringing his foot forward to take a step, he was blasted again by the second Force push of Kylin; slamming into the wall of the elevator once more. Within the pressure of this gravitational distortion on his body, Tegal allowed his hand to come open. Being a Sith, anger and rage engulfed his mind like an instinct, and Dark power flew through his body and channeled itself from the palm of his open hand. Escaping his body in the form of a long, statical beam of electricity, Tegal managed to pelt Kylin in the side just before the doors closed.
When the push finally dissipated, Tegal slumped over with his arms around his stomach; coughing as he mumbled to himself, "Bastards... They are in for it now!" Weakly, the White Sith took in a breath, and with a loud growl, he slammed his fist into the side of the elevator's wall. Quickly, in an attempt to not let his plot fail, he pressed the emergency button amongst the elevator's panel, causing the elevation device to stop in it's corridor. A red light began to flash within the room, and an alarm could be heard through the thick walls of the elevator's tunnel, walls, and door. "Great..." The Sith scorned himself, but soon shrugged it off, "Oh well, let them hear." Glancing up, he found the elevator's ceiling hatch, and with a brandish of his hand, the lid of the hatch flew open forcefully. Growling lowly to himself again, he spoke out, "They will all pay, lightsaber or not!" Bending the Force about his legs, he jumped with a great amount of power through the elevator's ceiling; snatching onto the cable of the elevator to hold himself still. Tegal quickly counted up the many doorways of the numerous floors he had descended. And from the looks of it, it would take a while to make his way back up, but he could do it in sufficient amount of time. Fiery lights displayed in his rage-stricken optics as Tegal swung off the cable and landed his feet amongst the side of the tunnel. Quickly, he reacted by jumping from one wall to the other. Cursing technology for allowing Coruscant to make buildings so tall and how fast elevators can move, he remained determined in his plan to kidnap the Senator. Slowly making his way back up the elevator shaft. |

Before you do something against my will again, I want you to LEAVE ME ALONE!" she shouted, clutching the necklace at her breast. "Let me make my own decisions!" The senator then turned to look at Jidat, putting her hands upon her hips. "While I trust your judgement, I would like the ability to carry out my own actions without any hinderance on your part." she replied sternly, stepping past her bodyguard and towards the elevator once more, her many skirts billowing behind her slender frame. Turning her head back, she glared at him icily.
"My name is KISA, not rat." |

She groaned and coughed up a little blood, but remained standing.
"He's coming back, we have to GO," she repeated, eyes flashing with saffron. She looked sadly at Kisa, "Please, please believe us..." She suddenly had an epiphany: was that Q'uall Anise she smelled? Kylin limped off frantically in the forest, as it was probably the only way out... a naturally powerful depressant. "Sleepy time for Miss Senator," she whispered mischieviously. |

He did not move towards the girl, but instead he set his eyes upon her. He knew she was a Senator -- and a very good one at that -- which meant she surely had been in many a staring match; from her reputation, it sounded as though she rarely lost these. However, Jidat had also been in many such contests with the face of Death itself, and his survival had proved that he hadn't lost either. His gaze, normally warm and contented, now became icy, cold, and piercing. This was his trademark; anyone who knew him well knew of it, and all who knew of it feared it. They knew that it was only when he became truely serious that his eyes became like that. And when Jidat Katsushiro became serious, even those who didn't know him could tell.
"Senator Kisa Ingrid Oksana!" the Shadow master shouted in a booming, regal voice which commanded respect and attention. Each syllable was pronounced crisply and clearly. His glare faced off with hers, and his dagger-like eyes pierced straight to her soul. "Am I your bodyguard?" OOC: note: I'm not really finished with this post, but in the interest of not godmodding, i'd like to pause really quick so Kristin can respond really quick, hope nobody minds! ^^;
middle name thanks to Kristin. looks like maybe the Shadow knows more about politics than he let one! :O |

"YES, but be that as it may, I deserve the right to make my own decisions.", she began, and turned around once more, heading for the elevator. Leaning her head back to glance at him once more, she finished: "If you desire any pay of any sort, you will leave me to my own devices and let me act of my OWN accord." |

It was quite apparent that he was entirely undaunted by what she had said to him -- he'd dealt with anger before, and in fact had suffered through much worse anger. She was upset, he knew, but he would not let up his ground; this was where he took his stand, and he had to make her listen. "M'lady, you may make your own decisions as long and as often as you want, provided they do not put you at risk. This decision puts you at risk, and I cannot allow it. I've been kind so far, but it is now apparent that Tegal has given up playing the role of the "nice guy," and if you had any wits about you, you would listen to the one who can sense that, at this very moment, that Sith you are so fond of is bounding up those walls full of hatred and anger and a killing intent. I also sense a vague ill-will towards yourself, though it is impossible for me to determine exactly what his plans are.
"As for my pay, of any sort, you may keep your money," the Shadow master continued without pause or hesitation. His words maintained their stiff strength, and he never once lost even an ounce of momentum. "If working for no pay is what it takes to get you to listen to my judgement then by God I will do it." Here he paused to let his words sink in before he continued, "I have once already let the one I cared for most die, while I stood by helpless; you are too much like her for me to just stand idly by yet again. I may not have the greatest work ethic in the galaxy -- heck, I probably have one of the worst! But I swear on all that is sacred and good in this life that when I decide to do something, it gets done. My dear senator, I have decided to protect you. Like it or not, you have a bodyguard. And this bodyguard says that you will get in that taxi and we will leave for the Senate. I will do you one favor now in that I will not destroy that Sith even though I greatly wish to. In time, you will find that I am right." |
