Though tempted to draw his lightsaber and destroy the man, he decided that acting so rash would only bring him down to the intelligence of that which he hated most, and refrained. Before she could get too far, Katsushiro lightly grabbed the girl's arm and pulled her back. He supposed a less forceful method might be necessary. Though perhaps had they been together for longer and she trusted him more it would have been easier for her to listen, such was not the case and she had little reason to trust his judgement. Nevertheless, he felt it his duty to do all that he could to keep her safe.
"Listen, please," Katsushiro said, almost despirately. "I speak out of personal experience which I haven't the desire nor the time to explain, but I implore you to hear me. That man is a Sith, a very evil person who probably is helping you to lure you into a false sense of security, at which time he would strike. Did he not know of your assassination attempt moments after it occured? And if he does attack us, unless you listen to me and stick close, you will be at his mercy. Regaurdless of my skill, if you go wandering off on your own, blithely walking into danger, I cannot protect you. If you still wish to foolishly be drawn to this man because he supposedly is willing to help you then I shall follow, but I beg you to trust in my opinion. "Now, as for you, my imbecilic friend," Katsushiro said, turning his attention back to the Sith, "You are apparently as deaf as your are dumb. By your very nature as a Sith, you are a danger, and thus, in your own words, "danger is near." Hence, I am doing all in my power to protect her. Now, before you continue to prove your stupidity by continuing to call me a Jedi, allow me to reiterate that I am neither Jedi nor Sith, and such weaknesses as 'falling to the darkside' do not concern me. I am not the only one with a lightsaber on my person; I am, however, the only one who was not gripping it like a frightened little child who clings to a parent. I am not blind, and for you to call me that is rather hypocritical, considering you still think I am a Jedi, despite me informing you otherwise. I am not a boy, and you are hardly in a position to call me one. As for your intelligence, I speak nothing but the truth, and each time you open your mouth you further prove me right. My reactions are precisely as they should be, and I think I understand calm much further than you, who must subsist on destruction and chaos to maintain power." |

Hissing at him for his lack of knowledge of Sith, "Obviously you have only seen one side to the Sith, my friend. I consider myself a little different than them, for they foolishly run into battle without a clear distinction in their mind." Tegal turned from the two, and opened the doors to his hover vehicle, propping up his arm onto the door as he turned once again to look upon the grey-robed man. "Other than that, I do not believe I gripped my weapon in a fearful matter, and you of all who are tuned to the Force know that instinctively everyone must protect themself; different styles pertain to their skill. Emotion is not the factor of my battle, but I wish not to tell you my true cortex of battle..." A somewhat troubled expression came across Tegal's face for a moment, but quickly cleared itself from his complexions as he glanced up at the two once more.
Speaking out in a more clear vocalization than his usual hoarseness, he spoke out to Jidat, "I never denied having a weapon on me anyways... As for your accusation of my chaotic ways to maintain my power, you are dreadfully wrong. I do make good decisions now and then, and I fulfill them with a more... 'darker' method, let's say. But it is still no excuse for you to be so protective. I am willingly giving my help, besides that..." Tegal leaned off the door of the car, and placed his hands behind his back, removing the long and slender handle of his lightsaber from it's sheath. Exposing it's silvering surface to the Shadow before him, he spoke out, "It would be an unhonorable thing for a Sith to do this." With this being said, Tegal leaned down, and rolled the metallic-cylinder in Jidat's direction, to stop abruptly with a ping at his feet. Tegal rose, his smile still bored acrossed his face as he spoke again, "You can hold onto that when I am near her, but I expect you to return it with the upmost respect you seem to show..." Brushing his hands lightly against his bright apparel, he smoothed out the wrinkles in his robes, and placed his hands into the pockets of his black trousers. His leather boots, of the same color of his pants, meeting at his knee caps, shuffled as he turned about to face the innerds of his vehicle, but his eyes remained lock upon the two behind as he stood behind his door; awaiting the answer or approval from either one of them. If declined, he could surely get his saber back easily in this instant, but he knew there would be an acception. |

He can't hurt us without that, silly!" she said cheerfully, picking up her many skirts and trotting energetically over to the car. As she put her delicate hand upon the top of the door, Kisa turned to look at Jidat and gestured with him to come over. "We'll be fine, Katsushiro. Please, just follow me on this one. If things do go awry, I promise to listen to you from now on. But for now, I need to know this information"
As the kitten finished, she opened the door of the vehicle and stepped in, adjusting her skirts and laying them out gently before shutting the door to her left. Leaning forward slightly, Kisa smiled and patted Tegal on the shoulder. "Thank you so much for your help! I'm really sorry about him; You know I only just met him. I'm not sure if he's always like this.." |

This was one thing Katsushiro found he could not stand in people, especially in enemies. He hated to be underestimated, and absolutely despised being looked down upon. Perhaps this was one reason why he could not bring himself to remain in the Jedi Order -- he would never be comfortable having to follow the rules and commands of the Council. When Katsushiro decided upon a goal, he always wanted to fulfil it, no matter what; to be confined within the rulings and decisions of others was unacceptable.
The white-robed Sith appeared to have many more flaws than being mentally retarded; he was apparently drunk from the power which the Force granted him. Such self-absorbedness was a prescription for disaster, and the young Shadow Master had every intent to teach this lesson. He never much liked following others or doing what people wanted him to do. Of course, Katsushiro saw no reason to start doing so now. He raised an eyebrow, and the tip of his thumb twitched ever-so slightly. In the blink of an eye, a standard lightsaber had fallen into his hand and ignited. A crackling blade of green energy pulsed forth from the hilt, immediately slashing through the lightsaber hilt upon the ground. \"Indeed,\" Katsushiro said to the Sith calmly, a small smile spreading across his face. \"And since you have such benevolent intentions, you will naturally have no qualms with me destroying your weapon.\" He took a step forward, and then another into the back of the car, keeping his attentions on the man in white the whole time. \"Shall we go, then?\" |

Having more than once seen his lightsaber take an immense amount of damage in the past really did not affect him, but the bipolar actions and ways of the Shadow Jedi was merely childish. His eyes cooly watched the grey robed man walk into the vehicle, and until he sat, Tegal threw out his arms, and the two broken 'sabers' flew into the grasp of each of his hands. Simply placing them into the deep pockets of his robes, he sat himself down into the driver seat of his vehicle. Closing the door, his hands immediately came to the control panel in the center of the dashboard, pressing a few buttons to enable the auto-pilot, it blinked a few moments as it awaited the coordinates of the user's desire. Usually, the monitor would display what it asked for, but it was shattered moments ago by Tegal's anger. He looked over to where the Senator, Kisa, was sitting beside him, "Where is it you wish to go?" then with a nod of his head, and an evil smirk and nod towards the direction of Jidat, he spoke out, "I'd love to ask your somewhat more destructive friend, but I believe your intelligence may prove more useful."
Though Tegal was acting level-headed to the two, in the depths of his mind, he had already devised the clever plan of ridding him and the Senator of this abnoxious 'bodyguard'. It would be rather simple, but the Sith had kept it masterfully and deeply hidden within his brain, manipulating the Force to professionally protect it from the viewing of the other Jedi's mind. Besides the plan, the thought of the Jedi's rather insulting actions, there was no way Jidat was going to get away with this, for the ones who had broken his lightsaber time and time before, were the ones who faced a cruel, slow, and suffering fate. |

"Well, there's a park a ways down this road where we can sit and talk. It's just down that way.", she replied, leaning forward and pointing straight ahead. When she had finished indicating the directions to the accused 'Sith', she leaned back into her seat once more, putting the palms of her hands upon her knees, humming happily to himself. Energetically she turned around in her seat to look at Jidat, swinging her finger back and for in a 'tsk tsk tsk' manner.
"That wasn't a very nice thing to do, Katsushiro! Those things are probably really expensive!" she said, half laughing, half scolding him. Turning her head slightly towards Tegal, she said apologetically: "I'm really sorry about that; I'd be glad to give you the money needed to fix those if you wish." Again turning back to see Katsushiro, Kisa leaned on the back of the chair, watching him. "But at least there's no way at all that he can hurt us!" she said, chuckling as she watched her body guard's expression. |

I believe this is the first time a child has ever broken one of my toys." He spoked with an almost joyous tone ringing in his vocals, but in his mind he added on, '...and the last one who will leave without his arms.' Disabling the auto-pilot, Tegal then put the vehicle into movement, and began to head down the road towards the park Kisa mentioned.
Along the way, Tegal held up his finger as if to say something, and with a small swirl of it, he pointed it downward. Immediately, he allowed his finger to touch down and press a button upon the console between him and Kisa. In the chair of where Jidat was seated, small slits came open and metal bindings came up to clamp his figure still of where he sat. On the outside of the bindings that held his arms and legs in place, electrical currents sprung up from each joint in the Jedi's confinement. "Rule number one, Mr. Jedi, or should I say, assassin?" He hissed in a misleading tone, looking into the mirror back at him, "Your evil ways never go beyond what I can do." Tegal was clearly lying, but his tone was able to conceal his vitriolic words. Pressing down upon one of the buttons, the electrical currents unleashed a deadly shock through the Jedi's body, but Tegal knew otherwise that from a Jedi's endurance and strength, it would merely cause him to pass out. Whether he does so now or a little later, it did not matter to Tegal. Turning to face the Senator once again, Tegal spoke to her before she could say anything, "This man is one of the assassins Kisa. Destroying my weapon, and clearly trying to misguide your trust from my words was so that he may not have anyone in his way." With a swift turn of the wheel, the vehicle took a minor detour to Kisa's desired place, only to swurve and nearly hit oncoming traffic in a now heavy traffic road. Tegal was doing this to kill some time as he awaited for his electrical bindings to do their job. OOC: If this sounds too much like god-modding, go ahead and tell me and I'll fix it. To me, I think that this would be quite possible for Tegal to do, considering it's his vehicle, Jidat doesn't know what he has in his vehicle, and yadayadayada. But if there is any need to change it from one of the Admins, just tell me why and i'll do so. Thanks and/or Sorry! |

The cold metal braces snapped about his wrist before Katsushiro even knew what was happening. He sensed that something was about to happen, but could not have predicted such an action. Clearly, this Sith had a great deal of electronical and mechanical knowledge, and was also very cynical in that he clearly expected to have someone who would be a harm to him sitting in his back seat. The shock of the electricity was surprising, to say the least. His mind acted quickly however, as this had not been the first time such action was attempted against him. His knowledge of the Dark Side of the force was perfect in helping him defend himself. He opened his hands, facing his palms back to the braces and releasing dark energy in the form of electricity back into them. The feeling of he electricty slowly dissappated to vague vibration, until a small explosion was heard from somewhere within the vehicle, and the Shadow Master was able to rip his arms out of his bonds. Katsushiro exhaled quickly, releasing a small cloud of smoke, as he rubbed his wrists. He shook his head, a small grin slowly forming upon his face. "That's cute," he said simply, not yet looking up at the Sith. "Almost as cute as the young girl over here. Though I had not even suspected you until now, I am now fairly certain who is truely behind the assassination atempt. However, I will not childishly throw about accusations without any proof. You, sir, should do the same. Why did I destroy the lightsaber? Because I know that you are a Sith, and have experienced Sith teachery in the past. I tried to get her not to go with you for the same reason. Now, herein lies the difference. I did concede, since it was apparent that I was fighting a losing battle. However, I dutifully follow, as I refuse to allow harm to come to her. Then, you attempt to destroy me, without any proof that I committed a crime which you somehow know about, despite supposedly not having been at the scene of the crime, which apparently couldn't have happened later than twenty-hours prior. Besides that, you didn't even bother turning me into the police, who would decide whether or not I am as guilty as you say, though I garuntee that I'm as innocent as Senator Kisa here. "At any rate, you know as well as I that you don't need a lightsaber to kill someone. A Sith such as yourself could suffocate her by little more than looking at her, and don't you dare deny it; I've seen with my own eyes the horrors a Sith can commit upon innocents." OOC: i'll let you decide if my overloading the circuits destroys just a small generator, or if it destroys the power source for the entire car |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | Kisa watched the events unfold, her cerulean eyes widening when Tegal accused Katsushiro of being the assassin she had been attacked by. Horrified by, not only the fact that she had given him money, but had been so close to being alone with him, she watched the electric current explode within the car and stop. As Katsushiro laid out the valid evidence of the Sith's accusation, she smiled and looked to Tegal.
The Senator was about to speak when she heard Katsushiro explain that Tegal could easily kill her without even using his lightsaber. She gulped and scooted away slightly, suddenly horribly afraid. What in the world have I gotten myself into... I should have just stayed at home today and slept in... she thought to herself, putting her face in her hands. When she had finally gotten over the fear, the kitten scooted back into the middle of the seat.. Sha glanced over to Katsushiro and smiled weakly, as if to say 'I'm sorry for doubting you.' Now that Kisa knew the truth, she was going to listen to her body guard from now on; whatever ideas Katsushiro had, the senator was going to go along with them. Tegal swiftly pulled back on the wheel, causing the hover vehicle to drive straight up. Pressing the button to allow the door on the side of which Katsushiro sat to come open, he pressed another to activate the automated steering; locking the vehicle into it's current velocity. With a shout, he beckoned to Kisa, "How can you trust him!? I left out the police to lower the risk of countless lives to be slain from his hand!"
Tegal then moved himself to kneel, his footing placed now on the backrest of his seat as the vehicle continued to move upward; the windshield behind him clearly displaying the night sky as they rose. Looking down upon his foe and the girl, he beckoned once more, "How do you know he cannot do the same to you!? Stay away from him!" With this, Tegal's golden optics locked sharply with Jidat's. Without notice, Tegal jumped with a spin, his white robe flailing out around his black figure as he literally flew between Kisa and Katsushiro feet-first. His footing came into contact with the back windshield; exploding the glass into many shards that would fall to the ground below. Within that instant, his hands latched out onto the metallic incline, which held the top of the vehicle to the main body, and contained the latch to the open door. Using his freefall, and the uprising velocity of the vehicle, Tegal was able to swiftly flip himself on what he held onto; his feet swiftly entering through the exposed vehicle's side where Jidat sat. Traversing to leave a painful mark upon the Shadow Jedi's facial complexions with his feet, Tegal also hoped to knock him out of the back window of the hover vehicle, which would cause him to fall to his death. Though the only way this would be possible, is the kick he deals knocks the Shadow out. |

You know, protecting villages from excessive vermin, weeding Emperial lawns, the usual. So when she recieved a message from Mace Windu to meet him for a non-menial mission, Kylin was overjoyed. Until she actually got there.
"You're over an hour late," Master Windu said, glaring at Kylin. "Sorrymaster." She blurted, looking down. "If you do well on this mission, then perhaps we can arrange to match you with an apprentice?" "Actually, I do not think I am ready yet... I would like to have a year off to explore." "I will consider that..." Windu, and everyone else, knew Kylin would not be ready to teach a young one until she herself had matured. "So, what is the mission?" She asked, eyes glittering with hope. He explained to her about the threat on Senator Kisa's life, and the strange Forces. And about Yuuki, who she would be working with. Windu told Kylin that Yuuki had been waiting outside for her for an hour. Hey, I was tired after making food for students all day long, Kylin thought. And then realized her mistake. "Ohshi...sorrymaster." She said goodbye before she could do anything else wrong, and made her way to the entrance. As soon as Windu was out of hearing range, she slapped her forehead, and said, "How can I compete with him, if he's the Yuuki I'm thinking of? He's trained for longer, and became a Jedi earlier than me!" She felt her face growing flushed. Grr. Hiss. OOC:...It's cheese that makes the world go 'round! HEY!

Secondly, he received a call from Mace Windu informing him that one Kylin Sul would be coming out to assist him in his investigation. The third thing was a massive wave in dark energy. Yuuki forced his thoughts out, and found the epicenter of that wave was above him.
"Go up!" he said to the driver, who quickly obliged. Jedi did tip nicely, who was he to argue? As they rose, Yuuki saw a dark figure on a cab. He rapped his hand against the window. "The lone cab, over there!" he yelled, putting one hand near his lightsaber and preparing to board the other car. The negative energy increased as they got closer, as well as another sense. This one was odd, it was the presence of the force, he knew...but it was different...not dark nor light, and too powerful to just be force sensitive (which is what it did "read" like). Probably a Sith trying to turn an unaware child, for the sith must have read that same aura from that person. Yuuki sent a quick message to the comlink of Kylin Sul. "Meet me at Didi's diner." he said into his own comlink, and then reattached it to his belt. The cab neared the dark man's taxi, and Yuuki prepared to find his way aboard. Katsushiro watchd the Sith with interest as the man systematically destroyed his own car. This time, as he saw the man fall through the back, he could predict rather easily what the stubborn man was planning. He turned in his chair and raised his feet, manipulating the force to help ground himself to the vehicle and swing the door shut. After this, he placed his feet firmly against the now closed door like a brace to keep it from being forced open from the outside. When Tegal attempted to swing through the door, he would be unpleasantly surprised to find that it would not open. The Shadow couldn't help but smile, though it was one of subdued laughter and vague happiness, and was not at all sinister. "I do hope you forgive me for invading your personal bubble," said Jidat with a surprising calmness and even joviality. He said this, for in "grounding himself," he had moved himself to be mere inches from the Senator. It was at that precise moment when the Shadow sensed another presence attuned to the force. This one, however, was a Jedi. Katsushiro could not decide whether or not this made things better or worse. OOC: though i wish to move on and get the car-thing leveled out, I'll let you decide for yourself whether or not you bounce off the "wall" and into boots' waiting arms ;) |
