S being the best, followed by A, B, C, etc. They never explained it fully in the series, but this assumed. It makes sense, anyway
"I'm here because I must," Nenji says, easily keeping the annoyance he felt from seeping into his voice. "To keep from being hunted myself, I must aid the STN-J on occasion. That's why I prefer to stay in the States -- nobody can touch me there, the laws are different." He avoids the various Ogon symbols on the ground without seeming to make any sort of conscious effort to do so. His mind was focused on something else; he was looking out, both with his eyes and with his mind, for the witch which was on the loose. He could feel it, and he was getting close. |
| Eshe Joined: 14 Nov 2003 Posts: 485 | The loud clacking of boots could be heard echoing throughout the halls as Kayo made her way. Her long, mid-back length brown hair fell on her back softly as he violet eyes scanned the darkness for the location of the other agents. Her large black treanch coat flapped around her small and slender body, and her black jeans were moderately tight around her legs. The chief had scolded her for falling asleep at her desk once again. She couldn't help it; she'd been staying up late working on some files. Damn cheif... he doesn't understand that girls need their sleep! Kayo complained to herself, making her way down to the area where the witch was.
She heard talking as she arrived in a large room. Looking down, she checked to make sure she still had her orbo there and ran over to them. There was a small 'shuff' sound as she stepped up to them. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late." She smiled and looked over to a tall man she'd never met before. "Hey, who's he?" The man in question was looking down at her feet. "Hey, what's wrong...?" The young girl looked down; she was standing in a pile of sand. "Oh god.." |
Asai Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 638 | Tsuki turned, gun drawn. It was only another one of the STN-J agents, a girl named Kayo. He looked down. Kayo was standing in one of the circles.
"Oh...shit..." he said softly. He turned to the S-Class. Putting away his gun, he calmly said, "Now would probably be a good time to tell us what the hell these things do." |

Nenji narrows his brows, concentrating. Suddenly the woman began to rise into the air, the sand which had stuck to her shoes getting pulled off by some unseen force. She then moved off to the side, being set down carefully upon the ground, to the side of the sand.
"That probably won't help too much, but at least he won't have full control." Nenji turns back around, continuing on his way. "Be careful, I may not be around next time." |

Random thoughts of getting fired and ridiculed swam through her head as they walked, ruining her usually happy mood. Gah... This job sucks.... |

He pulled up the gun in his right hand and watched the laser appear onto the arm of the stranger. He pulled the trigger. The person started to run and the bullet grazed his arm, tearing off some of the jacket sleeve and drawing a small amount of blood. "Well now we have a blood sample and can figure out who this person is and what they can do." |

He's mean..." She whispered in his ear. The group began to make their way towards the prey, Kayo chewing on a stick of pocky that she happened to find in her pocket. |

Just because he's better at all this magic and stuff than we are.. oh, craft... sorry..." She looked down at her feet as she walked. "I agree with the whole symbols thing. What if I get killed or something?" |

"I don't know..." he said. "He's a powerful S-class, but...that witch's power comes from the symbols and...oh, hold on..." Tsuki reached into his trenchcoat and pulled out a ringing cell phone. "Go ahead..." he said. It was Michael. "His name is Jonathan Harker. He can form different sand patterns called Ogon symbols. Depending on the symbol, it has a different effect." "Do you know what these ones are." "No. Sorry. Just don't touch them." Tsuki sighed as he put away his phone. He called up to Zyun. "He's been ID'ed. Jonathan Harker. These symbols could end up as anything." He turned to Kayo. "Your in the most trouble...I don't know what that thing does..." |

He sidestepped another Ogon symbol and tilted his head slightly so that he could see the people behind him in the corner of his eyes while slowing down his strides.
"Stop freaking out," he said annoyedly. "You're fine, and are in no danger so long as you stick to my good side and don't make too much noise. If you get too loud then he'll definately know of our presence, which is something I hope they tought you as being a bad thing in whatever training programs you go through." He faced forwards again, having passed the symbol, and brought his pace back to its original speed. "And I don't hate you all either. You just tend to get in the way and I find that rather irritating." |

Unlike before, she noticed the symbol and walked past it slowly, one step at a time. Quietly she laughed to herself and smiled, walking along and talking quietly to Tsuki. "Was that gay moped yours?" |

"Um.... well.. You get paid, don't you? Why not just buy a car or something?" She looked at him for a moment and rephrased her question. "Er... you do look kinda young, though... Not old enough to drive yet, huh?" She smiled and winked to him, pulling out another stick of pocky from the dark abyss that was her overly large trench coat. The coat fell far past her feet, literally trailing along the floor behind her. |
