Possessions: Sketchbook, pencil, eraser, tripod telescope, camera, flashlight, a few glowsticks. (Yes, I felt like going into detail.) Physical Description: Slightly taller than average, though he seems about average because of his tendency to slouch. His messy brown-blonde hair falls halfway down his neck in the back, and touches the tip of his nose in the front, forcing him to constantly brush it one side. His crystal blue eyes are generally a little glazed, because he has a tendency to simply zone out and think. His favorite outfit consists of worn sneakers and baggy jeans, a t-shirt (usually bearing the logo of a band he likes), black fingerless gloves, and a forest green trench coat. The collar of his coat is high, but not quite tall enough to conceal his mouth. A spiderweb pattern of scars crisscrosses the right side of his face. Personality: Friendly, but rather introverted and contemplative. He can often be seen sitting in a peaceful spot sketching. Simon is completely faithful to his friends, and would never do anything to betray their trust. On clear nights, he loves to stay up late and look at the stars through his telescope. He dabbles in astrophotography as well, and enjoys taking pictures of the starscape. History: Simon was born in the Florida Keys, and lived there for several years. When he was eight, a hurricane hit the Keys hard, and with such unexpected force that there was no time to evacuate. During the storm, Simon happened to be standing next to a window when it shattered, badly injuring him. He was rushed to the hospital and saved, but his face has been scarred ever since. After the storm, Simon’s family moved to the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona. While there, he developed his interests in astronomy and art. At age 14, he showed his first mild signs of mutant powers, most likely awakened from latency by his near-death experience. A year later, he was taken to the academy and began his schooling there.
