Name: Yabami Masaki Age: 16 Rank: Genin Alliance: Hidden Village of Moon Possessions: Various sharp metal throwing objects (kunai are his favorite), giant gear. Preferred Jutsus: Tai Physical Description: Masaki stands taller than average for his age, although he often slouches, making him appear about average height. His light brown-blonde hair hangs halfway down to his neck in the back and just past his blue eyes in the front. He constantly has slight dark circles under his eyes, as though he hasn’t gotten a good night’s sleep. Despite his constant wearied appearance, he seems to give off an aura of friendliness. He wears baggy jeans and sneakers (not sandals!), a grey t-shirt, and a very baggy faded blue sweatshirt. His kunai pouch sits at his left hip under his sweatshirt (which reaches almost to his knees) and his shuriken pouch is attached to the back of his belt. He also wears black fingerless gloves. His head protector bearing the symbol of Moon Village hangs around his neck. He usually carries his favored weapon, a large hollowed-out gear, over one shoulder. Personality: Masaki always seems to be happy, albeit in a weary, melancholy way. He is a steadfast friend who will stand strong through even the most trying circumstances””despite the fact that he has a prominent lazy streak and an inferiority complex. Many people say that because of this kindness and caring, he wasn’t cut out to be a ninja. In battle, he exhibits an odd sort of chivalry. He won’t attack girls unless given a genuine reason to, and refuses to attack when his opponent’s back is turned or when they are unable to defend themselves. Bloodline: Yes. Temporal Perception – When activated, this Bloodline causes Masaki to perceive his surroundings at a vastly accelerated rate (i.e. everything else seems to move a little slower). While this greatly improves his reflexes, it drains Chakra while active. History: Masaki has had a relatively average life. He was born in Metal Village shortly after its establishment, but his family moved to Moon Village before he was even old enough to walk. His grades at the academy were above average for his age. He first tried out for the Chuunin Exams at age fourteen, but was eliminated towards the end. He still regards this exam as the best thing ever to happen to him, though. It was during this exam that he met Kate, from the Hidden Village of Sand. They quickly became friends, but Kate had to return to her country after finishing the exam. He feels a deep-seated love for her, but she would rather just be friends. This is the main reason for Masaki’s seemingly contradictory mood; his normal personality is happy-go-lucky and he is glad that she is content with her life and achievements, yet on the inside, the grief he feels at not being able to see her or have more than a friendly relationship is tearing him apart emotionally. Special Jutsus Metal Element: Eternal Needles – This ninjutsu, aptly nicknamed the “Pincushion Technique,” causes all nearby metal surfaces not within anybody’s sphere of control to fire part of themselves, in the form of needles, at the target. Metal Element: Iron Prison – Ninjutsu that magnetizes the target’s metal equipment, either hindering their movement or completely negating it, depending on how much metal they carry. Metal Element: Liquid Shield – Metal object near Masaki that are not under somebody else’s sphere of control liquefy and block incoming attacks. (Think Gaara’s sand, except that it drains Chakra and requires concentration.) Gear Crush – Taijutsu in which Masaki creates Light Clones of his gear, which then attack the target simultaneously. Preferred Jutsus: Gen, Tai Preferred Element: Light Physical Description: Tall, with the same hair as his cousin Amarante””white with black tips. It is slicked back and reaches down to the nape of his neck, touching the collar of his sleeveless dark blue shirt. A necklace bearing a silver cross and moon hangs around his neck. His pants are black and baggy, and his sandals lace up halfway to his knees. His arms are quite muscular, and he has a crucifix tattooed on his upper right arm. The lajatang he carries is carved with symbols of all the phases of the moon. Personality: Generally serious, though he has his moments of levity. Cesote is always willing to listen to others’ problems and offer advice. He is also strongly religious and will try to find a peaceful solution to problems rather than fight. He comes across as being more concerned with helping others than improving himself as a ninja. Bloodline: Yes. Soul Serenity- can block all but the strongest genjutsu automatically, and allows the user to numb themselves to pain. Active power. Moon Dependence- anyone of Yamahara blood has a dependence on the moon. Their power waxes and wanes with the moon phases. Passive. Special Jutsus Photon - Uses light to inflict damage. Mild slice-type attack. Heavenly Radiance – Genjutsu that creates a flash of light to dazzle opponents for several seconds. Name: Akoki Mizuki Age: 15 Rank: Genin Alliance: Hidden Village of Moon Possessions: Kunai and shuriken, katana. Preferred Jutsus: Tai Preferred Elements: Wind/light Physical Description: Her favorite outfit consists of a night-black short-sleeved shirt, jeans, and sandals. Her brown-blonde hair hangs loose, and reaches her shoulders. Usually, she carries her katana at her left hip, though she sometimes hangs it across her back. Her eyes are blue, though she usually wears her head protector over them as part of her training. Personality: Quiet, prefers to listen and observe rather than speak. Mizuki is highly motivated to improve herself, and tends to become frustrated at Masaki’s lazy streak. Despite this, the two of them make a perfect fighting pair, and they work very well when double-teaming an opponent. Her motivation is the impetus behind her habit of covering her eyes with her head protector: this helps her to improve her senses of hearing and feeling, and generally makes her more alert. Bloodline: No. Special Jutsus Sickling Winds – Creates wind gusts to blow an opponent back and inflict slash wounds. Photon - Uses light to inflict damage. Mild slice-type attack. Name: Ibata Yasuko Age: 15 Rank: Genin Alliance: Hidden Village of Moon Possessions: Kunai and shuriken Preferred Jutsus: Nin Preferred Element: Lightning Physical Description: A little on the short side, but she carries herself in such a confident manner that her size really doesn’t matter much. She wears a long open-fronted robe””white on the left side and yellow on the right””and a blue open-sided tunic underneath. Her long blonde hair is held back in a ponytail, but she lets one lock hang in her face. Personality: Outspoken and bubbly. Yasuko is always the first to speak her mind in any decision, and makes sure that others hear her. In battle, she prefers to stay back, using ranged lightning techniques. Bloodline: No. Special Jutsus Lightning Bolt – Standard lightning-based ninjutsu, attacks with an electric current. Spark Spray – Blasts tiny sparks from palm over a large area. Inflicts only minor damage, but can break concentration and cause irritating burns, etc. |
Digithe Joined: 24 Aug 2003 Posts: 884 | Posted: Thu Oct 05, 2006 9:30 pm I only have one real "problem" with it, and that is the "Gear Crush" jutsu. Shadow Replication is a "forbidden jutsu" and it was a fluke that Naruto learned it. While it's not all that unusual for Jounin-level Ninja to know it, it's extremely rare for a Genin to know it. Now, there are other replication techniques (ie: sand, water) that could be used similarly, and aren't forbidden. Go figure. That's why it's a "problem," and not a problem.
Otherwise, I personally have no problem with the bloodline, although it seems unnecessary. He could simply have good vision and fast reflexes as a result of training, in which case it would obviously be less effective, but wouldn't consume chakra. Just a thought. If you're really attached to having one then it's fine with me, unless Asai disapproves. Last, the village. I have no problems with it, again, but it might be to your advantage to choose a different one. I say this not because I dislike the whole metal thing, but because most other characters on the server would have little chance to interact with yours. I might recommend joining Amelia's village, as that could give you a chance to hop into that story right away. But, of course, there are always other possibilities, etc. etc. It's up to you! Just uh... get back to me about the gear crush thing, and your thoughts on my suggestions, and you should be approved (again, unless boots disagrees. But, he's a loser and rarely gets on anyway. so... he probably won't see this, and thus will have no say) |

As for the bloodline...I'd rather keep it as a bloodline, because it's supposed to show that his reflexes are boosted to a level beyond what anybody could achieve without extensive training.
Hmm...after thinking about it a bit, I guess you're right about the village. I'd like to keep Metal Village around, though, because I might make a less story-oriented character or two. |
