Name: Helena S. Gadek (the 'S' doesn't stand for anything, like Ulysses S Grant) Called: Leyna Age: 19 Race: Human Abilities: Can speak Polish, Russian, English, and Japanese. *Tends to randomly switch between languages and sometimes forgets which one she's speaking... **Switches between normal/'male'(think Yoruichi) Japanese--was not taught polite Japanese, because she learned it from her Japanese friends & by talking to people on the street. Physical Description: Helena has rather pale skin, and long, straight brown hair. She has blue eyes the color of a cloudless sky, and stands at 5'5". Like most Polish people, she is rail-thin, but unlike most people from Poland, however, she is pretty, and has good teeth. Gadek dresses fashionably, but does not usually buy from upscale labels. Despite this, she always looks stunning. She is currently wearing a brown leather jacket over a medium-blue embroidered minidress, with brown Mary Janes and fishnet stockings. Her hair is in 2 buns. Personality: Can be a bit of a goofball. Quick-witted, and sarcastic when hurt. She has a high self-esteem, sometimes to the point of egotism. Tends to be hard-headed. Finds it hard to make close friends, but once she does make friends, she loves them with all her heart and is very protective of them. Bio: Helena was born in Poland, and lived there until the age of 5. Then, her family moved to America. During their time here, she was in several commercials for Fischer-Price. She also played a small reaccurring role on a soap opera. (In the future, she hopes to become an actor or a fashion model, or maybe go to fashion design school and become a designer.) Her father, who had enlisted in the armed forces when she was six, was assigned to Tokyo, Japan, when Helena was 13. She has lived there with her mom and dad ever since. (Her dad was assigned to JP for 10 yrs, btw) She has always been able to see ghosts, and her parents thought that she had imaginary friends, and let her play with them. Over time, she realized that she shouldn't be telling her parents (who couldn't see ghosts) about the supernatural, because they would think she was crazy. They thought she had stopped playing with 'imaginary friends' but Leyna had just stopped telling them about her adventures involving ghosts. Since moving to Japan, she has become friends with Chieko & Toren, not only because they can see ghosts, but because they get along and have similar interests. :D Song: "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" by Cake Powers: She has shinigami powers, but she doesn't know it yet (they need to be released!). The below will be taken out of italics as she learns how to use her powers. Znapakutou's Unreleased Form: Egyptian curved sabre Zanpakuto Name: Sekhmet Spirit Appearance: A six-foot-tall lion-headed and tailed woman, who wears a long red robe. She has dark tan skin, and is beautiful, yet fierce. Prefers not to wear shoes. Shikai: Burn Brightly, Sekhmet! (ok, I know burn is moeru and bright is akarui, but I forget how to put them together... @__@) Ability:Sekhmet changes from a sabre to a kopesh, a type of Egyptian sword. [img:396da4ad48]http://www.himalayan-imports.com/kopesh-kopis-kora.jpg[/img:396da4ad48] Over time, and with exposure to the sun, Sekhmet burns brighter and brighter, and gets hotter and hotter, beginning to give off a hot steam. She becomes hot enough in ten minutes that even a tap causes serious burns--if left out for a long, long time, who knows how hot she can become? Whenever she directly touches anything (or shoots heat bolts), some of her heat is lost, and must be recharged. In this form, she can also shoot firey bolts/heat blasts that resemble fire-arrows. Note--no matter how hot Sekhmet gets, she cannot burn her owner, Leyna. Note #2--Since her power mostly depends on sunlight, Sekhmet's power fluctuates based on the weather. For example, if it was cloudy, her power t orecharge would be greatly reduced (it would take much longer). At night, Sekhmet cannot recharge at all and must depend on whatever energy she gathered during the day before. Bankai: undiscovered as of yet :O Compressed Bankai: unknown for now :O OOC:I need help figuring out a good bankai for her, but that comes later, I guess ^^

As far as the powers go, they could be based off the person's personality: think Sado. He has those huge fists or whatever, so his power is basically brute strength. On the other hand, Orihime's is more defensive (for some reason...). They're three applications of "rejecting" something. Rejecting outside of a field makes a shield, rejecting inside removes bad stuff and heals, and rejecting both sides slices people in half X3 I think a good way to come up with something is to just think of what you'd like to be able to do IRL and expand on it, work it in with the character's personality and such. Or, try to figure out what the character would really like to be able to do. Generally speaking, it seems like just about anything is possible, putting aside, say, immortality. Maybe a first step is to decide if you want the skills to be primarily offensive or defensive. Or, it could even have some kind of effect that helps you (lets you fly or move fast) or hinders your enemies (slows them down, or paralyzes a limb), or even just is useful generally (being able to see long distances, the ability to read residual memories of a location). Then, I guess if it applies, figure out what kind of range you want it to have. Etc. etc. Hoped that helped ^^; |

Uhm, could I make her a human/shinigami like Ichigo? I think I'd have an easier time coming up for stuff for her sword... D: |

However, the problem with that is it's super illegal for a shinigami to give up their powers, so either they would probably end up getting killed, or will have been on death's door anyway. Then again, Rukia magically didn't die, so... I dunno o_O; Anyway, I'm willing to say it's cool for Helena to be a special case like Ichigo (IE: she had her own shinigami powers and they manifested with the boost from whoever... or something) as long as boots agrees (he should..).
It might be easier for you to have regular human powers, but I definately admit that it is difficult. I want to have a human character myself, but the only idea I really liked for the power was Nova's power (anime filler episodes only), which is to manipulate space and stuff. And boots, well, he's just going to make a quincy :P Also, now that I think about it, you having a human-becomes-shinigami could make an easier start for our RP, giving our shinigami a reason to come to the human world.... Anyway, like I said, unless someone objects, I'm for it. However, I think we should limit this to only your character, as having too many like this seems unlikely. |

So, the issue now would be to find a way to bring them powers out... :O I'm also going to make her rather strong (well, eventually: she'll get better over time, rising to maybe become like upper taichou level) but not INSANE OMG strength like Ichigo... But yay! I was kinda sad that Leyna was going to be a weakling... I'm usually the weak backup people... D: But now I'm happy~ Dansu, dansu... OOC:Just watched the episode where that guy in the store gives GB laxatives by accident... OMG... I just about died laughing... xD

I'm just wondering if you'd be hanging out with Mo's characters.... Also, I guess we'll start the RP with you getting your Shinigami-ness some way like Ichigo did...?

I'll have her be 19 so that she can hang out with Mo's charas xD I also have to put her experiences with ghosts in there xD Uhm, yeah, I'd be fine with the rp starting kinda like the beginning of Bleach (except with Leyna instead of Ichigo, lol), if that's okay with everyone ^^; ...Maybe her spirit power suddenly spikes to captain level because she's forced to defend against a hollow, and the Gotei 13 go "WTF is that?? Let's go check it out!" and come to the real world. |
