Name: Morgan Renée Creed Age: 22 yrs. Race: Tiershaan (sp?) Alignment: Empire Occupation: 2nd Lieutenant in the Emperor’s army Description: Having grown up in a wealthy, public family, Morgan is a social butterfly with a natural talent for mediation, diplomacy, and lying. She can tell which way the wind is blowing with little to no conscious effort; reading people and situations has always been a simple fact of her existence. She’s well-read, well-traveled, and well-bred, and although she can tell you what goes on in the outside world, she doesn’t have a lot of real experience with it. She’s inventive and resourceful, and her memory is unbelievably sharp””she can recite things she’s heard nearly verbatim. She can easily inform you of what should or could be done in any situation. Doing it, however, often proves to be a little more difficult. She’s led a sheltered existence and is rather squeamish, especially when dealing with excessive amounts of blood. She stands at about 5’4,” and her build is willowy and graceful. Perfect posture comes naturally to her, as do subtle movements and poise. Her skin tone is medium, bordering on the dark side, and her eyes are large and dark blue. Her hair, once long and flowing, was cut like a boy’s when she entered the military. Much to her parents’ dismay, she has opted to keep it that way ever since””she nearly cried when the thick black waves were cut, but she’s found that the style has grown on her. Morgan’s ethics and beliefs can be summed up in one simple statement: her parents are both wealthy politicians. She believes strongly in the usage of “terminological inexactitudes” whenever necessary, and no lie detector could tell where the truth ends and the inexactitude begins. She also has no problem with white lies; she’s been raised to avoid offense whenever possible, and she rarely slips. Because she grew up with three elder brothers, she knows how to fight, but prefers not to, since the phrase “Don’t make a scene” has been firmly embedded in her consciousness. If she gets mad enough, however, she will beat the living daylights out of a person””but she’ll be sure to do it somewhere nobody will see. History: Despite its supposed downfalls, Morgan’s always enjoyed living a public life. She loves being rich, and it’s made her rather materialistic. Unlike many of her peers, she doesn’t see public life as stifling or unpleasant. She has retained her individuality, and has always used her money to express it through clothing, vehicles, and other material things. Her early existence was very comfortable; however, with three older brothers, she grew up with the constant knowledge that there would be little for her to inherit. Enough to live, certainly, but not quite enough to live the way she was used to. She developed her options from an early age, not wanting to be caught in a situation without a way out. First, she could live on her brothers’ money. They were usually generous when it concerned her, and she was very close to the eldest. However, pride would not permit this to be her first resort, so she moved on. The second option was the one her parents pushed: marry some rich aristocrat and live on his money. It seemed like an easy option; still, Morgan had grown up in an idealistic environment, and her head was filled with romantic notions. When she married, she decided, she didn’t want it to be for money. The only other option open to her was to make her own way in life. She regarded this option with the bitter enthusiasm of one who knows she has no other real choice, and so she enrolled in a top military school, in order to join the Emperor’s army. Her parents were convinced that she wouldn’t last a month, but they allowed her to go, with the expectation that she would meet some respectable man, marry him, and forget all about this silly self-reliance business. In a shocking act of defiance, Morgan did well in military training. The academic part was easy for her, due to her uncanny ability to remember every word the teachers said, but the physical part took a lot more effort. She hated most of it, especially the messy parts, but she managed to swallow her discomfort and put every fiber of her being into her training. Success in the military was equal to stability for life, at least in her mind, and her dedication paid off. She graduated at the top of her class””graduation was the first time she ever saw General Elaina Storming, and immediately began to idolize her for her success in a field typically dominated by males. She was recently assigned to assist General Storming, to her complete delight. She takes her job seriously, and is eager to please her superiors; the military is her future now, and her one chance at being entirely independent. Still, she's a relatively easygoing personality, and doesn't fret over the little things-- she's been told that this could get her into trouble, but it hasn't yet. |

This page may help: (because i don't know army ranks and this is your character, but I guess since she's gone through the academy that she's an officer) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army_officer_rank#Field_and_Company_officers You can probably ask amber what rank she thinks you should be. But anyway, besides that everything looks cool. Approved! - The Administration |

I think we had her stay a private because A.) it's a military publicity stunt to get women to enroll in the military and support the Empire, B.) she graduated top of her class so she'll be a hard worker, and C.) Valkier feared Elaina's workload would cost her her sanity and thought she could use an assitant... he wasn't sure how she'd react though so he decided to use someone deplorable just in case Elaina ripped her head off for breathing too loudly or something, and privates come a dime a dozen. OOC:I made the second half of that last one up, but it's works... i think... |

This is all well and good, and, considering Elaina's personality that would make sense, but I still think she should be an officer, even if of the lowest rank. If she were to be a private (if I understand correctly) then she would have simply enlisted to be an infantry-type soldier. However, she went through the academy, and my understanding was that the academy was for officers. But, I could be wrong ^^; |

So I guess she'd start off as a 2nd Lieutenant, then? Or is 1st Lieutenant lower? And... Lieutenant is the lowest rank, right? Let me know if that's not right. I'll change it on the character app. once I know it's not completely off. XD See, I know very little about ranks. It's like, "Colonel? Is that above Lieutenant, or below? O.o; " Here's how I remember them most of the time (thanks to Travis for this; Mo, you may recognize it...): [color=darkred:3c9091b079]RANK RECOGNITION MADE EASY General: Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive. Leaps tall buildings in a single bound. Walks on water. Lunches with God, but must pick up tab. Colonel: Almost as fast as a speeding bullet. More powerful than a shunting engine on a steep incline. Leaps short buildings with a single bound. Walks on water if sea is calm. Talks to God. Lieutenant-Colonel: Faster than an energetically thrown rock. Almost as powerful as a speeding bullet. Leaps short buildings with a running start in favourable winds. Walks on water of indoor swimming pools if lifeguard is present. May be granted audience with God if special request is approved at least three working days in advance. Major: Can fire a speeding bullet with tolerable accuracy. Loses tug-of-war against anything mechanical. Makes impressively high marks when trying to leap tall buildings. Swims well. Is occasionally addressed by God, in passing. Captain: Can sometimes handle firearm without shooting self. Is run over by trains. Barely clears outhouse. Dog paddles. Mumbles to self. Lieutenant: Is dangerous to self and comrades if armed and unsupervised. Recognizes trains two out of three times. Runs into tall buildings. Can stay afloat if properly instructed in the use of life jacket and water wings. Talks to walls. 2nd Lieutenant: Can be trusted with either gun or ammunition but never both. Must have train ticket pinned to jacket and mittens tied to sleeves. Falls over doorsteps while trying to enter tall buildings. Plays in Mud puddles. Studders. Officer Cadet: Under no circumstances to be issued with gun or ammunition, and must even be closely supervised when handling sharp pieces of paper - staples are right out. Says: "Look at choo choo!" Not allowed inside buildings of any size. Makes good boat anchor. Mere existence makes God shudder. Sergeant-Major: Catches hyper sonic armour peircing fin stabilized discarding sabot depleted uranium long rod penetrators in his teeth and eats them. Kicks bullet trains off their tracks. Uproots tall buildings and walk under them. Freezes water with a single glance; parts it with trifling gesture. Is God.[/color:3c9091b079] *attempts to remain on-topic* So, is that all that needs to be changed, then? I mean, everything else is okay? |

I don't know ranks so well myself -- especially navy, which is sad because my dad is ex-navy. That's what wikipedia is for! Anyway, apparently 2nd lieutenant is lower, and I *think* it's the lowest officer rank. As for things to change, there's nothing wrong with it unless you think there is. Just a little typo: [quote:a15ae3b6d4]...with little to know conscious effort...[/quote:a15ae3b6d4] ;) |

Anyway, I think it's all fixed. Let me know if anything else needs adjustment. |
