Name: Benny McBride
Age: 26
Origins: Spanish, Native American, Irish
Occupation: Freelance Journalist, Private Spy

History: Benny McFarren was born unto a rich Irish family, i.e. a warm house, detached family, and plenty of anything he wanted. However, despite his fortunate placement among families in New York, Benny never delved into his family's vast cash pit to make ends meet. Also, his parents neverending struggle to direct his life from behind the scenes pushed Benny further and further away from his roots. While Benny tried to pursue his dream of silver screens and screaming fans, his parents pulled enough strings to dump him into the tight shoes and oppressive garments of a lawyer. Benny had lost his claim to fame.
But it was not the end for Benny McFarren. Using what verbale tact he had learned from the stage and the court as well as a few family connections of his own, Benny stole his way out of New York without a trace, leaving his past behind to embrace a new life under a new name, Benny McBride.
Benny's mode of life was restricted to cities so Chicago was just as good as New York and better since it would take him miles away from his nightmare of a homelife. Using the last few pounds of his smuggled share of the family fortune, Benny purchased (and lied) his way into the smaller workings of the mobs as well as several commercial enterprises. He worked as a double agent, spying on one company for another but keeping the trump cards to himself. He became quite rich from his life of schemes and backdoor dealings but he did not gain the infamousy that usually comes with it thanks to his shifting aliases.
Besides the average corporate thievery, Benny took a serious liking to the life of a reporter and journalist. Within his first two months living in Chicago, Benny sold several risky stories (complete with incriminating photos) about the mob and its darker works to every single active newspaper, a different one for each paper. For these stories he recieved a heavy sum of money and a good word in with the editors (the only group of people to know his true name "McBride"). Again, he avoided any real difficulties with the mob by having his storiees printed each with a different name.
Lately, McBride has taken to local clubs while he looks for another good story to sell. Camera and notepad in hand, he watches and waits.

Personality: Benny is a subtle shadow in the corner of the eye. He fits in with the crowd with perfect blend, which fits his lifestyle perfectly. However, anyone who has heard him speak will never forget him. His stage life has cursed him with a tendency to speak with resounding dash in his tone, which reflects his fanciful motions that lend him the image of one who has lost touch with most of reality. However, other days Benny will be so down to earth as to appear extremely grave in all his dealings. This has lent him a two-faced reputation with those who know him. But, there is one constant in his actions: opportunity. Whenever it knocks, Benny will be the first man at the door along with lady luck.

Equipment (of human and technical types): Benny is a simple man and tries not to draw attention to himself if he can help it. He has short blonde hair, glasses, and an innocent, searching look on his face at all times, which reflects his constant search for the simplest of wonders to capture on his camera and in his notebook. Benny wears two parts of a three-piece suit, the black jacket replaced by a dark vest and the sleeves of his white shirt rooled up his arms. The suit itself is only one of many but McBride enjoys the contancy of his wardrobe. It also saves him the trouble of griping over what he plans to wear. Other than his action-roughed clothes, Benny always has a trusty bag slung over one shoulder. This bag, which is like a big brother to the usual purse in its size, holds everything Benny might need and at least a thousand other things he does not. The things Benny does plan to keep in his bag are his camera, notebook, spare glasses, trusty revolver and several handfuls of bullets to go with it.

Mostly it's good, but there's just one thing that's confusing me. You say he emerged in Chicago as Benny McBride, but uses a different alias for each story w/o giving away his identity. Also, he is paid very well for each story. While separately these are very good, to me it seems wierd that the papers would pay a bunch of "different" unknowns very well, even if it was a great story. Is he a freelance reporter? Or is he actually employed, and simply uses random pen-names for the publication? Does the chief editor know how he gets his stories? (IE: his disguises, etc.)

Those are the only things that really confuse me, so please explain (and update the description). Otherwise it's good and should be approved soon ^^

Okay, this makes more sense. Sorry for the delay!

Unless someone else has a problem, this is approved!
