Since we're planning to revive kunai and start a new thread there, thought I must as well actualy type him up, since we seem to be doing that now ;)

Name: Shinomori Nenshoukaze; “Kaze” (Family name first)
Age: 15, nearly 16
Occupation: Sensei / Member of The Thirteen
Alliance: Konoha
Items: Dark sunglasses; standard Jounin equipment

Physical Description: Nenshoukaze is not exceptionally tall and it looks like he will stay that way. However, though his height is hardly above average, he can be a very imposing figure if he wishes to be. He has a strong, athletic build with soft facial features to contrast. He wears a soft smile as oft as possible, creating an aura of serenity about him, as though he knows what will happen next in any given situation.

His hair resembles that of a ronin – long for a man and tied back in a vague pony-tail. Besides this, he is clean-shaven. When not masked by his nearly opaque sunglasses, his eyes are a crystalline blue, which shine with the energy of youth. Vertically across his left eye is a long, slender scar which could easily have been caused by a bladed weapon.

The attire which Kaze wears is little more than the standard Jounin uniform. However, he can often be seen wearing a black, weighted cloak.

Personality: Nenshoukaze is a very laid-back, fun-loving person. Despite being rather famous as one of the youngest Jounin Konoha village has ever seen, his is known to be very down to earth and humble. To those he doesn’t know, he is generally rather secretive about himself, though is tactful in how he avoids divulging personal information – people seldom feel as though they’ve been avoided, and often are so distracted that they forget what they asked. Though he does open up once he develops a stronger relationship with a person, there are almost always key elements in his past which are not mentioned.

Even complete strangers note that he is a very jovial and friendly person. He does his best to help those who need it, and always stands up for the little guy. He is most dangerous when those close to him or those who he decides to protect are threatened. Though known to be jocular, he also has a tendency to be calm and reserved at times.

History: The events in Nenshoukaze’s past are widely varied, ranging the full spectrum from light to dark. His parents were members of different clans – specifically the Shinomori and the now-extinct Oni clans. Both clans had unique bloodlines which manifested in Kaze separately. The Zenchigan, inherited from the Shinomori side in him, appeared at an early age with no apparent loss of strength. This was one of the key things which allowed him to progress to the rank of Jounin as quickly as he did.

However, the Onigan, inherited from the Oni clan, was much less successful. Even full-blooded members of the Oni clan could rarely control their bloodline technique successfully. Disaster was bound to happen with Kaze.

The Onigan lay dormant within the young ninja for the longest time. It first emerged in the third stage of his examination for Chuunin. Without warning, it appeared and the whole course of the battle turned for the worse. The unwary opponent was instantly sucked into the Onigan’s spell, and slowly went insane. One of his last acts of sanity was to slash at Kaze’s eye, in the vain attempt to save himself. This attack was only half-successful – though it did end the illusion, the Onigan was by no means gone for good, and the boy was at that point too far gone to regain sanity.

Everyone slowly forgot about the Onigan, and in the meanwhile young Kaze trained and meditated and practiced and eventually developed a simple jutsu to keep the demonic eye in check, as well as one to release it if he desired to use it.

Because of his exceptional skill at such a young age, Kaze was recruited on his fifteenth birthday by the secret group known as “The Thirteen.” He is currently their newest member as well as their youngest.

Jutsu:
Kageken no Jutsu: This is the technique he is famous for, as he developed it on his own at a very young age. This technique creates a weapon, generally a sword as the name implies, of any size the user wishes and is made from pure chakra. Once created, the Kageken can be dispersed into the atmosphere where it can wait to be reformed whenever the user wishes. This is useful, because no extra chakra is required to reform it into a sword, and it is essentially invisible. Conversely, chakra can also be poured into it, causing it to grow larger or change shape. Any time it changes shape while remaining solid, chakra is required – even when shrinking, though this is much less than when extending as some of it returns to the user.

Zenchigan Ougi: Hakke sou dou shou: This is the Shinomori clan’s ultimate technique. It is greatly reminiscent of the Hyuuga clan’s techniques, in that it attacks using the chakra points. However, this technique takes it a step further. An extreme amount of chakra is gathered into the tips of all ten fingers. With a quick burst of speed, the user launches him or herself towards their opponent, and very carefully thrusts each bit of chakra into ten chakra points in their opponent’s stomach area. As this is happening, the chakra is forced out like threads throughout the opponent’s chakra system and around the vital organs. Then, the user drags their hands upwards, simultaneously squeezing the opponent’s innards and detonating the chakra which was inside.

This technique requires a great deal of chakra to be effective, as well as great speed, accuracy, and concentration. If the user can do so, the opening of at least one gate is often used in conjunction with this, to aid in the speed factor. Even without opening a gate, the user of this technique is generally extremely tired after its use; it is commonly used as a last resort or as a finishing move. An experienced shinobi with excellent chakra control can continue to fight effectively after using this technique, but most will at least experience a decrease in speed and chakra control.

Bloodlines:

Zenchigan: This is the pride of the Shinomori clan, which, like the Uchiha, descended from the Hyuuga. It is a much smaller clan than either of the two ever were, however, and only a few have ever mastered the bloodline limit. This advanced bloodline can grant a possible five abilities to the user: the ability to see chakra and chakra points, enhanced vision (telescopic, seeing through some objects, such as trees and some walls), movement prediction, copying a ninjutsu, and the ability to see through illusions.

As with the five abilities, there are five “levels.” Each level can be likened to a “skill point.” These points may be placed in any of the five abilities, granting the user use of that ability, or they may be stacked in one or more abilities to give it more strength. (EX: a level four user could use chakra sight, enhanced vision, movement prediction, and sight through illusions, or the user could have two levels in chakra sight and two in movement prediction. The user could even put all four into movement prediction.)

Each level uses exponentially more chakra, so some may choose to only activate one level if only one is needed. Also, each level must be “unlocked” in some way; often this is on a need basis, when the user is strong enough. As said before, only a small handful have ever reached level five. Training and use can reduce the amount of chakra needed, thus enabling the user to activate more levels for longer, and more comfortably. Kaze is currently able to use level three for a great deal of time, and level two without problems.

Onigan: The name says it all. This is the “Demon’s Eye.” One of its primary uses is interrogation, and it is certainly suited for this use. Upon establishing eye contact, the victim is bombarded by millions upon millions telepathic messages, urging them to do or say whatever the user wishes them to do or say. Victims usually find themselves unable to resist in a very short time and comply quickly. Because of the nature of the Onigan and how it asserts control, the victim will quickly lose sanity if the spell is not released. Generally speaking, the average mind will take no more than fifteen minutes before succumbing to insanity.

Another use of the Demon’s Eye is to pull any and all untapped strength out from the user. This always results in an immediate burst of speed and strength, very similar to releasing a gate. However, like using a gate, this use results in extreme fatigue once finished.

As powerful as it might be, the Onigan was never mastered or perfected. Its use, even for the short fifteen minutes it takes to drive a normal person insane, cause great strain on the user, often resulting in loss of consciousness or extreme fatigue. Many people of the Oni clan reported that it would sometimes manifest itself without notice, as though it had a mind of its own.

Because Nenshoukaze is not full-blooded, he has even less control. In moments of extreme rage, the Onigan sometimes manifests itself and literally takes over, drawing upon anything it needs to achieve victory. After this happens, Kaze always looses consciousness.
